Let's not over-hype the situation at the moment and be a bit realistic for a while. We have never seen a sustained growth for

such a long period and this is what we want. Slow growth over a longer period, will draw more investors than a highly

volatile dump and spike scenario. People should not invest more than what they can afford to lose or willing to wait for the

next "spike" and still be liquid enough to survive.  ;)

if you're in here or trading Bitcoin around last 2013ish and early 2014ish you should understand what i said.
back then many people keep talking about it,yeah similiar to your own statement.
but after a month or around that time,a huge dump happened.

We're on rally because of segwit will be activated, I guess.
The question is; when it will gonna stop? reach the highest rate and fall down due to  people cash out, massively.
I'm not sure about this, but most news tell us if bitcoin could reach certain price, and many investors could join, cause huge influx of money into bitcoin. I expect bitcoin reach $5000 until November before get corrected because segwit2x chain split.

yup,you are absolutely right, we do get excited very easily. Because of this kind of Hype people buy when price is high and sell when the price is low. we should trade carefully not emotionally .

If people buy in the expectation that their asset will only ever grow exponentially, they will be absolutely terrified once it starts dropping.  Gold was hugely hyped up in 2011 and, surprisingly enough, the price has fell since then because when everyone is really bullish, it can't stay that way forever.

Even with SegWit, I would not have suggested buying since around $1000.  Even if you look at a logarithmic trend line right now we're way above it.

I used to say any price under $1k is good entry point and than same for under $2k, $3k and $4k. Now I think any price under $5k is good buy point because price can easily go $5000+ within this month or next month.

Hold tight and sit back with popcorn in hand because bitcoin price is going to mooon.

Read around here in late 2013. Of course things are radically different since then, but human nature isn't.

In my experience when you read 'we will never see x price again' x price comes back a few hours later and then a few weeks later people are pining for it.

The earlier we all understand that it might not continue like this the better and my concerns is for someone who because of the current scenario decide to put more than what he can afford, then I feel pity for such individual in that in as much that we are happy about the trend of events, we should also not be unmindful of the uncertainties that abound in this our crypto space.

Well we don't know what will be happen in the future. but this time i think this is different from other years ..
But the price right now is really huge compare to last few weeks ago and i am thinking that the price can be crash soon if there are still a whales are holding lots of bitcoin they can sell more bitcoin soon that can affect almost all bitcoin users and start panic to sell ..
Since we are still not experience some exchange site to be down the same as what happen every year like MT.gox if you remember
or other exchange site was crash every year but right now until now trading sites are still active..

So maybe this time $4k value is the lowest or cheap price but its not a good idea for now to buy because its risky but we know the price of bitcoin is always increasing if you have a patience you can buy but you need to be patience and if the price was decrease or crash just buy bitcoin because you are buying a cheap bitcoin and wait for a long time to sell them in the right time ..
So this is still not the last chance buying cheap bitcoin and i think we will experience of down for sure.. not a large drop but i think a little bit..

Anyone who's relatively new here should read through the late 2013 period on this forum. It's all easily accessible. I'm not sure there are that many parallels, a great deal has moved further on, but that brash overconfidence might well return. 10k was in the bag for 2014. Until it wasn't.

Current increase is largerly coming from the speculation and hype around the activation of Segwit. When things cool down and Segwit has been activated, there will be a correction taking the price down again. In that regard, it's pointless to say that this might be the last chance to buy, because it definitely isn't - especially when you look at things from a short term perspective.

No need to exagerate the situation. Bitcoin will be surely worth a lot more in the future, but I do not think this is the rise for all, and that we will never get, even though if it seems very possible.

you are forgetting that from 2013 situation not only bitcoin matured but mainly trading crowd matured, there is very little panic sells, and if so, price jumps back very very quicly.

With traditional investors comming, this will mature even more, as they are not so scared by dips -> but they will be buying like crazy during dips = quick recoved.

You should take a long look at the 1 day chart of Bitcoin. It has seen a massive pump and doubled in price within 1 month and is clearly in the overbought region of the RSI. It will come back down. The question is when. I'd only buy now if it was long-term. Otherwise it's foolish if in a few weeks you might only have to pay 2.5-3k after a correction.

Like you lot of them are now waiting for correction so that they can buy but i think it will move more 100 or 200 usd and then we can see a little correction but their wont be massive correction. and still $4300 price we have to see so dont jump on any conclusion very soon.

You mean now bitcoin has a cheap price at $4300. Now in this day, bitcoin suddenly take turn and come back at $4030 to $4120 and now also bitcoin has started to grow up. But i agree with you, it is a cheap price right now because in the coming time, bitcoin would be given us more profit. But it is guaranty that only big whales could buy bitcoin because if i want to buy bitcoin right now then my answer would be no.

Remember that when there is a very rapid rise, there is ALWAYS a pullback as people take profits.

I did still see $3976 as of now on preev.com and its still cheap.For me the cheap price to see again on between 2500 price and we would possibly see such thing when prices do make corrections then thats the time we should buy back again on cheaper price this is why we should really be attentive when that thing happens. We are still on the peak on bitcoins price and buying now would be somehow risky as i can see.

The BTC price is about $4020 now. I think it is better to wait for a few more days before buying.

Now it is 3950, I wanted to sell mine right after I go home after work if the price remained 4300 but I have to wait now. I am afraid we will see a big correction in price as the huge rise in the price of bitcoin was not reasonable, had nothing behind to support it, at least in my view.

Now its slowly going down so better start at least dumping some of the coins. I had really profits for selling earlier so i guess i gotta wait for another price pumps in the coming days. Indeed, this cycle always repeated again and again in crypto-world as bitcoin price is just a bubble which keep growing because people invest their money in. Then people who has invested in the earlier stage, want to cash out, get a bigger piece of cake which cause (temporary) loss for people who invest in the last time, who invest at the highest peak. That's how the bitcoin market works.
So, remember in trading field, do not invest some amount that you can't afford to lose. But don't worry about it, because bitcoin price will recover again for sure, as the way is still far ahead.

Bitcoin has been overhyped ever since and when it rises tendency would be it will dip after it goes to the moon. It has happened a lot of time already so by the next few days we will be expecting bitcoin to decrease its value and altcoins has the chance to increase their prices as well. It may have reached $4300 but we'll never know next week it will be around $2500 back again, because bitcoin is unpredictable.

Today I read a report from Goldman Sachs, which claimed that a major correction is due with Bitcoin and the prices can crash as much as 50%. Personally, I don't believe that a crash of such a magnitude can occur. But if you have trust in Goldman Sachs, then it won't be a bad idea to wait for $2,000 per coin exchange rates. But if you agree with me, then purchase your coins now.

Indeed.  There are so many noobs to investing--not just bitcoin investing--it's ridiculous.   Prices never go straight up forever, and shmucks are getting caught up in the bull market delirium.

Really it is just a start because bitcoin everywhere a round business news so many will enter at 4300 $ where we can see 5000 $ in near future with a week to month time from now .

It's goes to 4050$ USD it is quite going once again 4200$ USD as it is seems people are investing and withdrawing their amounts from bitcoin. Going to hold bitcoin because the price is going to be 5000$ USD soon in the end of month. So I would prefer to people that hold bitcoin. Withdrawal your bitcoin after next year because it will cross around 10,000$ USD in the end of the year. While altcoins are useless toward bitcoin in rising price.

I'm pretty sure there will be a drop in he price slightly below $4300 in the next few days and around 22nd and then we're off to $5k. But for sure the price that is now can be considered pretty cheap since it's, very probably, going to rise up by 100% or even more untill the end of the year and I won't even speak about the next few.

Theirs a little brake happening right now and might we can see it normally since it really happens before and surge will surely follow unto this and we should prepare for the surge since maybe this one would happen by the month of september. My guess it will go to 5k with small steps, Then the price will consilidate around 5k fro a couple of months. Maybe even till the end of this year.

With the number of decimal points behind satoshi I don't think anyone has any take me to worry about it this time. You can buy in at such a small point that no one's going to have to worry about anything at all. A $20 bill is still sitting there at 3 decimal point so this isn't going to be something that's going to be a problem at all. At least not for a long time.

With all due respect you are wrong, the price that bitcoin has is impossible to maintain, do not get me wrong, I’m happy the price is that high but we need to be realistic, right now if you are a trader is the moment to sell and cash out or the moment to get some other alts, if you are a holder right now is the moment to hold and to not buy anything more until the price gets lower.

If we look at the very short term, I definitely agree that current levels aren't very sustainable. Within a week from now (more or less around the activation day to be precise), I expect the price to correct itself to more appropriate levels. It will take some time before we are heading up again, but I don't see a correction as a bad happening. It firstly is an important part of basically any market to allow short term minded investors to cash out, and secondly, people that were waiting will get their moment to buy themselves a position in this market at lower levels.

Well i think if you are holding lots of bitcoin you can get the benefits of the price decrease today and increase if you buy bitcoin below 4k from the past few hours you are making profit if you sell it now because the movement is really like a mountains and you can make more profit if you stay monitor the price of bitcoin for me staying in bitcoin is more safe than you are trading with altcoin ..

Well, I think the bitcoin price will return to that price, and even be higher. It might be the best option for investors to make more money from bitcoin. But, the current price makes people with little money to be in doubt.

In my opinion it is most likely going to drop down to around $2500, perhaps even lower, and just stay there for a while. I'm a long term bitcoin believer, but this current pump is just too crazy. I don't see it sustaining much longer, tbh.

In the long term though, yes, $4300 is probably one of the cheapest points at which you can get your coins at.

Agreed, as much as i believe in bitcoin i don't think that people should just buy in because everyone else is. That would be an incredibly dumb move to make and will probably result in you losing a lot of your savings.

If you want to buy coins it is much better if you just waited a couple more weeks/months for that dip and potentially save yourself a fortune. Otherwise, you're just wasting your money filling others' sell orders.

In the long run though, like yourself, i am 100% backing bitcoin to become mainstream and its value will skyrocket.

If they doubt, they will regret in future after the price of Bitcoin breakout to new high price. I remember from last year until today have many situation regret why in last year they sold all their Bitcoin while they can keep 10-30% this amount ;D

The only rule of speculation and trading in my opinion is buy low, sell high. Buy when everyone else is chilling out and doing nothing, and nobody is spreading news about it. Sell when everyone is in on the action and it is overpriced and everyone seems to think that in the future bitcoin is only going to go up.

Yes in the long run we will be able to see much higher prices than right now, but why not be patient and buy at the dip instead of buying right now? You'd be making more and losing out on less.

Actually, based on Bitcoin's price history, it could go lower than $4,300. It can go $3800 or even $3500. There's no uncertainty in what I said but consolidation on Bitcoin's part is always present. People will not be able to sustain a very bullish run in a couple of days or weeks without consolidating at some point. Just put your buy orders along those prices and hope for the best. Though one this is for sure, BTC price will go higher in the coming months.

In a 50 years, $4300 per bitcoin will be absurdly cheap. But in a few months, in my opinion it is most likely that people will start dumping because this pump cannot last forever. We could see a sub-$3000 price per bitcoin again. Only buy now if you can take the risk. There could be a pump or two left, but it will always correct in the end.

Why do so many bitcoin morons shill? We're seeing 2-3k soon probably because of the November fork and splitting into 3 bitcoins. And bitcoin cash probably 300 % more profitable soon when the price dips.

I am agree with your thoughts that bitcoin price will return to that price very soon I means that the price of bitcoin will return to 4300$ or 4500$ very soon and it can't take more time maybe 1 or 2 weeks. Moreover, now the current price is also best option for investors if they invest their money now they get more profit when its price goes to high. So I think after 1 or 2 months it's price hit to 5000$.

Yes,already those who didn't buy bitcoin at $1800 and still waited that its price would fall down regretted later for their decision.Bitcoin price is now $4100 and some say that yet there would be another fork in november and bitcoin has to overcme it successfully.Then only,bitcoin price could cross $5000.

I was planning to sell my bitcoin this week but after reading this thread I have decided to hold as the price may get to $5000 this week after a strong correction we are experiencing today. The best thing to do now instead of selling  is to buying at the current low prices of $4099. Though the pumping is seriously abnormal in future I do believe we would has a strong correction that will stabilize bitcoin price. Many are speculating bitcoin price to get to $10000 before the end of 2017.

Another 'fun' fact is that the price of Bitcoin Cash is being kept at a certain price point artificially by wealthy entities that are part of the BCC group ~ only delusional people will actually invest in this garbage.

In other words, the major part of the miners are mining something they keep alive with their own funds. So from this point, how much exactly are they generating?

Bitcoin Cash has no major community support other than the shills and fud trolls they are paying. The only bit of interest from people comes from the fact that they plan to convert their BCC into BTC.

Don't base your decision on one thread. :) There are a lot of people who believe in the long term potential of Bitcoin, and a lot of people who think the current rally is just a bubble. Think carefully before you decide to book profits now or buy further.

No pump cannot last for ever. But all pump does not need to end by dumping too. There are possibilities of having stable prices too. I guess that is what right now happening with bitcoin prices right now, After heavy pump, prices are now staying lower after minor corrections. Definitely we cannot expect a dump here.

But we can expect another round of rally toward $5000 in coming weeks. Basically bitcoin's supply specification and potential of it are triggering higher prices hence we can be simply confident about having prices in millions in near future !
