Title: Bitcoin cash pump
Post by: grexmebeen on August 17, 2017, 10:43:36 PM
just notice a 40% pump of Bitcoin cash. What's the reason?

Which site do you check to see bitcoin cash price?
I aware of bch price an hour ago and see it being pumped around 34.4% right now and I've checked on coinmarketcap, bitcoin price has reach $424 or 41.85% increases. No matter why this is happen or what is the reasons as I assume this is a common thing in crypto-world, which pump and dump always happen. If you know that bitcoin cash has 8Mb block size and if I could send bch faster and pay low fees than bitcoin, I will consider bch better than bitcoin. But, I know bitcoin cash will be dumped again as soon as it reach $450-$500, well I am waiting for $1000 before decide to sell mine.

Anyone know any good irc channels (or similar) where I can talk to people in real time about these types of bumps?

Bitcoin cash hodlers made it possible.
It seems that most people who hold bcash just don't know how to sell think junk.
+ unknown bcash miner mines 90% of the blocks and just don't sell either.
Supply is very limited so I think $500 or even more is pretty realistic.

actually dump in my opinion, because the chart of bitcoin cash seems very stable in the past and that will be a normal reason to get pump by the pumpers as far as i know, this just another pump and dump scheme to fool a lot of newbies. to buy bitcoin cash and gets stuck in the high price. bullish trap.

Yeah also noticed this but I think the big whales are up to this.
They planning something for bcc, they are the one's who manipulate the price.
We all know Chinese investors are behind all these so we can expect more to this coin.

It is not a trash coin, so it is not surprising to see it even above $1000 but it is now good only for trading or short term investment.

I hope bitcoin cash does take over.

i agree with you. For the long term this coin is not yet reliable.
So for short term trading is very good and profitable.

I believe that both, Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash, will perform very well if another financial crisis occurs.

Even better would be a crisis where a major currency like Euro gets into big trouble and confident in fiat currencies suffers dramatically.

In this scenario, crypto currencies will boom!

I read that some major Hedge Funds managers like George Soros or Stanley Druckenmiller expect a financial crisis very soon and positioned themselves accordingly...

I am curious what will happen next...

With the recent difficulty corrections and current price, BCH is now more profitable for mining than BTC. Wonder what would happen if all miners progressively change to BCH mining

They would leave a gap on the real Bitcoin hashrate, which would mean that someone mining Bitcoin Cash would go back to mining real Bitcoin, because the difficulty would lower and the price would still be several times higher than Bitcoin Cash. That is the irony, at the end of the day Bitcoin Cash can never get anywhere near the real Bitcoin. As soon as people leave the real Bitcoin to speculate with the Bitcoin Cash hashrate, they will create a new opportunity to mine Bitcoin. It's a constantly leveling-itself system.

It seems to be the case, the volume in fact is there. (about 39% of all markets, I wonder how long it can hold)

Edit: actually, it easily passes 50% if you add a few other BCH/KRW markets.

I really don't like it when more people support BCC. I really have a bad feeling that it will have a negative impact on bitcoin when it's value is almost the same as bitcoin. I will be exiting btc if there's more split that are coming.

They don't need a reason to pump the coin. Bitcoin Cash solely created for this purpose.
This coin is nothing but a pump toy. It moves just like expected.

BCH crash will result in money flowing into Bitcoin, not into the top altcoins. It doesn't matter where BCH is classified in this forum; most investors in BCH are those who want to hedge their investment in Bitcoin. They are not your typical altcoin investors.

Bitcoin Cash seems to start acting what it really is, at least for now, a pump and dump kind of coin. There is pump of course, it will be impossible for a coin such as Bitcoin Cash to just dive straight into rock bottom. But then each pump is followed by another dump. And the cycle continues.

If there are still other people holding bch, they can dump. But what if the only ones holding bch right now are ver and wright, and they are pumping bch. Then there is no more dump happening, only pumps. And there will be newbies seeing the pump will be enticed to buy bch as well, thus more pump.

Is there a specific trigger that caused this pump?

Yeah - but it will take at least two weeks for the bitcoin hashrate to adjust downwards, and in the meanwhile a bunch of noobs who don't understand what is going on will be panicking about their transactions taking forever to be picked up, and we'd get some panic selling on the exchanges. If the panic selling results in the bitcoin price dropping some more, the profitability of mining BTC drops further and more miners switch. Rinse and repeat.

If only we'd just got large blocks a few years ago, we'd be in a different place. Oh well - have kept most of my BCH, so it makes no difference to me which coin takes the top spot.

Title: Re: Bitcoin cash pump
Post by: nizamcc on August 19, 2017, 12:58:26 PM
It's not just 40% OP, it started rising from 0.068 and went till 0.244 which is a ~400% increase in the price and it all happened because miners saw that profitability is increasing day by day at a slower pace in BCH. I am getting scared now that if Bitmain decides to start supporting BCH and if they start mining it instead of BTC, what will happen! It is still continuing its rally and Korean traders are showing extreme support for BCH, now let's see where this clutter stops.

Title: Re: Bitcoin cash pump
Post by: kilobytez on August 19, 2017, 02:21:17 PM
If you monitor closely, there's a slight increase on the number of miners for BCH from 20PH/s to 200 PH/s
Reference  : https://pool.viabtc.com/pool/BCC/state/

Block 479,808 (set for this weekend) will likely trigger a difficulty adjustment downwards 50%, and if the prices of bitcoin and bitcoin cash stay the same, this means miners will make almost double on bitcoin cash what they would on bitcoin.

Trading right now is a gamble, but of coarse some people becoming an expert after making a few lucky trades lol lets see how your strategy is working after a year of trading alts.

No mush reason than the activities of pump and dump group! I don't see any reason than those that want to take profit from the recent bitcoin upward movement coveting there bitcoin to bitcoin Cash. The price of bitcoin Cash went as high as $1000 this afternoon without mush reason. As at the time of making this post some of the pumpers has started dumping their position.

Bitcoin cash is in the pumping phase just like bitcoins currently and their current value is above 800 dollars. It was speculated that this coin will have tough time to survive in the crypto market in the presence of bitcoins but the coin is doing well and I don’t think so it is bad to hold onto this coin.

I assume that this was just the really first and initial pump.
The real pumps will bring it above $2000 someday in september/october in my opinion.
But before that it'll keep retracing and settle somewhere around $400.

The bitcoincash as of now the price good and continue to increase . I think why the price of bitcoincash increase because of buyer . So I suggestto hold your bitcoincash and for sure you will earn a lot of profit in the future because I believe the price of this coin before end of this year will be 1000 dollars and if that happen you can earn profit. Bitcoincash this the onlu coin I think when they release in the market the price is big.

I think it's a market strategy. They pump now so that the market will sell their bch when the price is high, making it looks like very stable in that scheme, making it to look attractive to invest. If they succeed, they will be able to attract lots of patron, which is good for them, but may also cause another sequence of events which either be good or bad.

The reason for BCC pump is that there is a rumor it will rebrand as Bitcoin China. Seems it's gone now

Only speculation as the thread says. There is no real funded news about it. Price fluctuates as per general crypto.

bcc doesn't seem to have pumped even though current price considered very high. There is a sense of optimism that bcc is still strong to increase, not even close the possibility of bcc able to survive after China issued a ban.

Recently, the Chinese government has declared a decentralized digital currency a threat to its economy and, in connection with this, has banned the circulation of crypto currency in its country. It will either try to create its own centralized crypto currency, or make it already existing. According to one of the assumptions, the choice may fall on Bitcoin Cash, since a significant part of its production capacity is located in China. How will this affect his course?

Honestly its survived  after the china FUD and i think BCC will stay active and stay stable at the present price.. for now..

If its located in china why the price still in good level which is still high.. and i think i don't see any centralized crypto currency expect that people will choose to invest to decentralized than centralized currency if china are thinking smart they know that it is impossible to make a centralized crypto that can be gain a good trends and it can adopt by many developers..
For me even  we are seeing really high price increase created by china and its centralized i will still choose bitcoin instead of using their centralized crypto that we do not know if they are just increase and pushing its value or its a bull trap that anytime soon they can sell their crypto that can result of losing investment..Bitcoin cash is just a fork of bitcoin and i think the price of bitcoin cash will be depends in the active movement of the price of bitcoin this is just what i think. .

That is right. The miners are abusing the emergency difficulty adjustment, the price is dropping.
