Bitcoin now is almost worth 5000$. Will it continue to increase ? Will it ever reach a high value like 10.000$ ?
Please share your opinions about this.

Another $75 to reach $5000 mark and it will happen very soon. But I feel these prices should consolidate for some time before it goes to next higher levels. For the last couple of months, it has grown a lot so I expect some correction soon or later. $10K will surely reach but it takes a time so just buy and store your coins safely to see that price range.

It is really good to see the progress of the bitcoin in the market. I believed that the bitcoin will become $10,000 per each before the year end. The demand of the people to the bitcoin is continuing to rise up and that is the reason why the price of the bitcoin is rising up also.

After the series of successful events, BIP's and segwits, I guess Bitcoin gains another level of trust, it dramatically seen out by investors, the demand will surely go higher, hope to store coins more.

Only $60 away from $5k right now which is literally nothing. I think that we will most likely see $5k being broken today, actually.

I think that it will continue to increase to at least $5500-$6k before having any sort of correction. The trend has been very very strong, and this is mostly fueled by bitcoin depicted in the media all the time. I wouldn't buy in much right now, but rather buy at the dip.

$10k doesn't seem to be possible this year, at least. But in 4 years? Definitely possible.

The "correction" is almost inevitable. $5000 is seen as a huge psychological milestone, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a sell-off.

I haven't been tracking daily fluctuations much recently but crypto is red hot once again, even moreso than ever before. I never thought that it would get to this magnitude, even after it cleared $1000 back in 2013.

Hmm. I think It'll not stop increasing :D. But if you want to see Bitcoin price reach 10k$ I think you should wait more few years or maybe next year :D. In my opinion I think the main reason for bitcoin price increase like that is btc-e.nz has came back :D

Attracting more investers will defenetly increase bitcoin's value. It is time to invest some money in bitcoin because it's only getting more and more expensive.

Sure, I believe that bitcoin price will increase until 10000 USD. Just need to take time. The price of bitcoin after segwit climb up slowly. That is a good news for traders to hold BTC and other altcoins. I prefer to keep ETH, LTC and Waves. Due to the BTC increase , the price of those altcoins increase too. However the price of the altcoins to BTC seem slowly to catch up. That doesn't really matter. Instead of keeping tokens I prefer those altcoins that have their own blockchain.

The price of the bitcoin is really going to the moon. I think this week the bitcoin will become $5000. I can say that the bitcoin is really good for investment. That's why many investors are really interested to the bitcoin.

Yep! i am watching the charts right now waiting for it to touch the five K, i am laughing at those who said that bitcoin was gonna die on august 1.

Is there a chance to the think about the price will down? I m new here and really want to buy some, but the 3k bost from 2K was absolute amazing... and my doubts just tell me "wait, this is not time to buy"

Lots of long term holders were waiting for 5000$ point, so there will be a correction soon as we hit. I would say at least 6000$ by the end of this year, after the November correction. Set my target to 5100$ now to sell some of my Bitcoins.

There is no assurance but it has a very high possibility. It can even rise far more than that. With the current flow of Bitcoin price, I think it can even reach $7000 beforethis year ends. Let's just pray and hope that whatever happens, it will be for the benefit of the majority. There is no impossible with Bitcoin.

10k will be reached this year, 15k I don't know.

There's no impossible for those who knows to wait and understand how the fluctuation really invites more crowd in no time will be able to reach that value and for sure it will be much greater than that we just need to continue supporting this chain and allow more people to understand and also to be involved.

we are not sure if the value can reach the $10000 but right now its approaching to $5000 and I think it would continue increasing right now. Maybe before this year end it can reach the $6000 value. Just keep holding and lets see what would going to happen next. Enjoy the increase of its price because it gives more profit to everyone who holds now.

yes I agree with you the possibility is always there and I think the end of this year bitcoin can touch $ 8000 or it can go down to $ 3000 nobody knows for sure what will happen with bitcoin, now time to save bitcoin to be able to enjoy 3 more years when bitcoin price touching $ 100000 and can enjoy for get the profit with the increase price of bitcoin.  ;D

In fact the price is given by "supply and demand" and will probably reach 10k and soon 100k before 2020.

I'll eat my words last time. I've never thought that BTC will reach $5,000 by the end of this year. But as of now, it seems that BTC (along with other altcoins) value is non-stop on rising up. If this increase in its value will continue, there's no doubt it will reach the $10,000 point by next year. It will be a great news for most (esp. those who are holding their BTCs in their wallets).

Last few hours ago the price of bitcoin already 5000 dollars but as of now the price of bitcoin decrease it will now 4800 dollars again but for sure it will back 5000 dollars in the next few hours so lets wait and I hope if price reach again 5k it will become stable and I hope it will increase more so we can make a lot of profit in the future. We see the speed of the bitcoins price increases. From 2,700 $ on july now it's almost doubled to $ 5000. You see, just one month ago it was doubled. What can I do in december for almost four months from now. I think over 10,000 $ will be raised. So just buy and hold bitcoins while we can afford it. Because it may increase in price and we cannot afford to buy it.

I'll be watching the hourly charts with great interest over the next 24 hours, as I'm sure all of you will be too. As others have said, there will likely be a selloff now that the price has been flirting with that psychological value that had people thinking, "when it hits $5k, I'm going to cash out!", as has happened previously. How much it drops will be interesting to see, and even more interesting will be how fast it recovers and how much it will increase from there.

Watching by the way it is right now, i can really say that it will still continue to rise and would probably reach the 5k mark. But the $10000 mark I don't think it will happen that fast. Although im not saying that this will not happen(because I believe bitcoin can really reach 10k), I just think that it takes time to reach that amount. Because in every price rise theres always a correction waiting to happen. But eventually bitcoin will continue to go higher after that. And repeat the process over and over again.

I think we never know how high will the bitcoin price be going up. A two months before people were saying that Bitcoin can reach 5000$ by the end of this year but this has happened in August or start of September. So we never know if the bitcoin might be close to 9000$ or even 10000$ by this year end. Only time can tell the exact value.

Price is nosediving right now, it is currently below $4700 already. It seems like the resistance at $5000 is very strong. I have no idea what is causing this or who is behind this but some people think that btc can't reach $5k and is stopping it from doing so by cashing out.

$10k is out of the equation for this year. I think that it is much more likely we see some more price corrections considering how far we have risen and how big of a bubble we are curretnly in.

It was obvious that a correction would come but no one expected to be near $5000. Some whales sold to gain some profit with such a big rise. Nothing to worry about. It only takes a bit longer. We will see $5000 ;D

Yes looks like there has been a little dump right now, it touched $4580 a few minutes ago but now it is at $4680 each bitcoin, it seems like the bitcoin market is so volatile right now, this kind of trend is very risky if you are a trader.
I suggest for those who are trading to take care of their coins at this moment, since all the whole market is so volatile right now.

$10,000 is very possible with the kind of momentum Bitcoin is having. But I would honestly be happy if it ends the year above $5000. All the risk holding it in bearish times and all the frustrations caused by its volatility has paid off.

Long term yes, $10000 is pretty easy to achieve due to the inflationary nature of fiat currencies.

But right now i think that people are way too bullish on bitcoin price which suggests to me that there is a pretty big bubble happening. $10000 would be almost impossible this year in my opinion because that would be a near $200 billion market cap with bitcoin alone.

Corrections like the current one is going to be a recurring trend i think over the next few weeks, first a crazy pump and then a dump to bring it down. I would think that overall trajectory right now is down till the end of the year.

Bitcoin value now is closer to $5000, I believe that this month their price was reach the it. Moreover I think before end of this year bitcoin value is touch the $6000 or $7000 hoping that it happen.

LOL Did you just checked the price? It is currently going down to $4600-$4700 after momentarily touching $5000. Its now the mental barrier that we need to break-$5000. You can't really put the fault for the traders to sell some of their stash once we get to $5000 because the profit is there for taking. I know that Asian markets has recently been buying bitcoin that's why the price has push to this level, but I'm not really sure if there are big entities behind trying to manipulate the price to get to this level this suddenly dumping it. Well its weekends so I'm assuming they are just cashing it out, the usual we see during weekends dumps.

But I still positive that we can get to $5000 and be able to sustain it maybe at the end of the month or 3rd week. Assuming that the minor price correction would stop this week.

let us wait until november about the implementation of bitcoin improvement proposal the segwit2x, since the current price of bitcoin is almost as close to 5000 there is no doubt that after the segwit2x event, bitcoin would reach to almost 5k, 10k target for year-end is unreachable but it is still bullish.

I think we could reach the $5000 sometime this month. And then in november, well need to wait what's going to happen. However I believe B2x is going to be a big nothingburger. Garzik will probably fork off and make some money out of his shitty altcoin. But in no way he will be able to steal the brand. Furthermore there is another hardfork happening, Bgold/Bitcoin gold, shortly before B2x. This could steal even more attention from B2X. So I'm not worried in the slightest. The price may go down some percentages due to spread fud, but we will overcome this pretty quick I believe. So at the end of this year Bitcoin will have seen 3 fork offs and the price will all in all have increased significantly. So reason to be afraid of forks anymore who may try to steal the brand or take away some attention. Bitcoin is getting stronger and stronger after each attack!!!

the bitcoin value in USD depends on two major factors :

1-the number of people using bitcoin.
2-security of funds and trust of people in bitcoin, and here I means if they accept to be paid in bitcoin or not.

As a result the value will not get down at least for those years !

Those November events will be more than enough triggers to make bitcoin prices to reach $10k levels and I am very much sure from this September to end of October, prices may reach up to $7000 levels.

It means we can expect at least $1000 movement in September and October and then $1500 movements in November and December so that bitcoin prices will be comfortably testing $10,000 levels by end of this year. Prices are almost peaked near $5000 which is enough supporting factor for reaching $10,000.

Target $10,000 of Bitcoin very normally. If you use your brain think again careful, you will know there are many potential investor on the world still do not invest to crypto market, of course after the value of Bitcoin increase fast in short time, they will interested it naturally

That's to say $5000 per Bitcoin is as good as certain to happen anytime from now, but that of $10,000 might be long coming and it is going to depend largely on how the deadlock between BIP191 and UASF resolves their differences on Segwit. In the event of a hard fork and split of the network, a major correction might follow but as always Bitcoin core would dust itself up and be on it's way one more time.

At least in oct 2017 this, bitcoin could be $5K, this is my hope to get optimal value when i want to exchanges most bitcoin i have yo fiat. Because, until today though slowly bitcoin continues to creep up. I was very optimistic at that's time.

Ya sure. Actually today morning itself the price of bitcoin reaches 5000$.But due to some factors the price was not stable. But like 4500$.5000$ also became stable in a month. This is not very much far.If you inverse now means, it's the best action done by you for your future.

Last few hours ago the bitcoin price already reached 5k dollars but it will fall down again and the price as of now is 4600 dollars but I hope it will back again to the price of 5k dollars so we can make a lot of profit. The chances bitcoin price reach or hit 10k before end of this year is 50 50 because we need to get more higher 5k before goes to the next target. But now we wait the price back again 5k and next is 10k.

10k until end of the year is a bit too optimistic imho. There will be a few corrections up to its way to 10k. Currently we see a small one and it does not look like it's finished yet.

We have seen the 5K line today, but it triggered a downfall movement.
So that is were the resistence is for the moment.
I think we will need some time to break that level because the same mechanisms that activated the correction today will do the same next time.
It needs a little bit more support from the buyers next time to stay above the 5K level.
Maybe weekend is just the wrong time for such an attempt.

Very, very predictable stuff. If i was a trader and not a hardcore hodler as I am, I would have sold at $4900 ish, because I knew that the psychological factor of a panic sell was too strong, specially at $5000. Realize that, after we cross $5000, we will be nearer $10000 than $0. Once we cross $5000, for that reason, I predict an easy uptrend to $7500, with a final massive bull run to $10000+ if we can get rid of Jeff Garzik and his segwit2x abomination.

This time bitcoin faced a little decline. But it will always possible for the bitcoin to reach over 5k at the end of 2018. Remember the segwit hype and after the fork already happened and the bitcoin increase over $4400 and just wondering what will be happening after the segwit 2x update.

Ido the same with dasana212. That bitcoin will reach $5000 sooner or later. The highest price is about 4600 , it almost touch 5000. One or two weeks later I am optimistic bitcoin will reach 5000. People still buy bitcoin and continue to buy. After Segwit , the price is increasing slowly. Bitcoin touch 1900 before Aug 1. The hardfork of chain that cause new coin BCH make the price dumped. After August one the price come back to 2500 above. What happened after segwit activation about the ends of august, the price dump to 4500 above almost touch 5000. The change is in one month period. How about next month period? Will be 5000 - 6000 I guess.

Yes. Bitcoin remain strong after August 1st, I think bitcoin price still increase. $5000 is near and I don't see any factor make bitcoin price going down to deep.

Look like we are still not break the $5,000 wall and the price only touch at $4,900 well looks like the price of bitcoin is decreased back again and i  think  it takes a long time again that the price of bitcoin can be increase and touch back again to $4,900.

If you keep checking and following few veteran members, you can easily predict future prices. I also had wondered many times how these people are making such predictions more accurately.

The next four months are enough time to bitcoin prices to double. It has already done similar growth in 2013 and hence we can expect same rally this year also. Moreover the adoption rates are very big when compared to what we had in 2013, so in three months itself also we may see prices reaching those magic $10k levels.

As many traders now this.If you check the price of bitcoin yesterday means .Even you may know this.Price of bitcoin crossed the value  of 5000$ ,yesterday morning.Then many had trade the bitcoin yesterday.AFternoon,the price of bitcoin again lower to 4800$.Now for the two to three days the price of bitcoin was stable in the value of 4700$.It will became 5000$ soon.

I think it's possible for bitcoin to reach $10000 the value positively increases and the popularity of bitcoin become wider as days passes by. I think as the demand continue to grow more people will look for bitcoin and the value will continue to appreciate

As time goes by, Bitcoin will literally keep demolishing the following levels -> $10,000 -> $15,000 -> $20,000, etc. People should just understand that this market isn't waiting for them to enter. It has been the same since we were hovering around the $300 level back in 2015 - each time the price increases, people create threads asking whether or not it's still a good time to buy now the price has gone up. I seriously don't understand what these people are waiting for. How much needs the price to go up before they realize that they are missing great buying opportunities, time on time again? If you have free capital, then invest and don't wait for the market to decrease - this only results in a big disappointment, especially in the current bullish time frame.

Price has gone bit lower today so I think this is the good time to buy bitcoins as price will touch $5k in coming days so if we buy now and wait for the right time to sell then we will be making some really good profits in very quick time.

Bitcoins will be 5k dollars within this week but I am not planning to cash them out. Firstly, the prices are still going to rise and secondly I don't have any particular need for it. Maybe there will be a dip if people withdraw their bitcoins but I am not afraid of it

Today is Sunday and Bitcoin still do not breakout barrier price at $5,000.
Therefore, it has been dumped by shorter and trader want take profit.
But I believe in next week, Bitcoin will recovery to $4,900 and test breakout again.

It will not be easy to touch that price in quick time and price is moving down so may be we need to wait longer to see that price but I don't think there is anything to worry as sooner or latter bitcoins will achieve that price and only thing we need to have a patience to hold our coins till it reaches there.

the recent days bitcoin has already touched the record high of $5000; however the price of bitcoin immediately  down for some reason after the record high, could be the panic sell once again before the price of bitcoin increases again.

I am sure the price will be going towards segara bitcoin $5000, though these moments are dropping the price of the $4100 but it was only temporary because price usually varies bitcoin. i think problem for bitcoin is still very low real life adaption. i know online is many services but i cant find stores in EU (physical), local bitcoin ATMs dont work/out of order (as they seem to not get used much so the companies struggle), very few media coverage in EU (not even when it reach 4000€ for first time), still very difficult to understand and use for average joe.

its probably better in US and ASIA but thats my impression for EU.

but how can exchanges pay out BTC when its very high? some big exchanges seem to have problems already now. i am not sure if these payout problems are real, or really thru law compliance, or too fast userbase growth, but at some point , who is still providing the FIAT to cash out BTC?

i know this is very critical but with all the 99% of "HODL/btc will keep rising" posts, i think thats important to ask too. I dont want to destroy any fun. And i still hold BTC too.

But if you look at it from a common sense, based position, is there really no cryptos that offer more real life value than BTC? Why do most stores still not accept BTC despite high credit card costs? Why is paypal still biggest payment system online despite high fees?

And then suddenly BTC stark asking $5 for a transaction since 2 weeks for average joe.. And with most wallets and services. I think bitcoin community needs to take aim at these things before it can go to $20k and more.

The price will fall tomorrow under 4K $, better buy tomorrow 15 days left BTC the price will rise up to 5K $. Now it's getting down to touch 4K $ in today. You should monitor this BTC down very far, triggering the pumper to return.

Bitcoin price now is striking down, what happen? guys do you have any idea regarding fall down of bitcoin price in the market. It's was less than $4000 now, I was worrying regarding my investment because instead of profit I feel I got lost it.

It's already passed 5000 a couple times. But don't worry you'll get there and stay there is a nice average before too long. This isn't something you're going to have to worry about for too many more days.
