Title: The future of CryptoCurrencies
Post by: Mahonias on May 23, 2013, 08:28:39 PM
Hello, This is my first post within the general forum area. I am happy to be a part of such an important community. I don't have to convince anyone here of the importance of Crypto-Currencies. I am curious what some people think about the future of these currencies. Do we consider them commodities? I am curious if Bitcoin/Litecoin/Namecoin/etc will ever be traded on an open market much like currency exchanges or NYSE. They are currently traded on an open market but the transfers are limited to payment systems that can be difficult. My question is this: Does anyone believe that Bitcoin will be traded on a massive level alongside other currencies like the Euro, U.S. Dollar, etc? If this happens than Bitcoin could likely become the worlds largest digital currency. However, until Bitcoin can be adapted to large-scale physical dollars or coins they will remain a digital currency. They are obviously much more secure than credit cards and financial market holdings. I hope that Bitcoin can become more of a liquid asset. That would change the game indefinitely. The more liquid the currency the more available it becomes and the transactions become easier. Anyways.... I appreciate anyone's insight into this matter as it will help me decide whether to invest in Bitcoin for the long haul. Thanks!

See you on the other side,

Mahonias Mavrostomos

This is Erik Vorhees' speech from Bitcoin 2013 last weekend - I highly recommend reading it and at least his next-most-recent post.

Of course! An open mind is one of the best assets when it comes to Cryptocurrencies and there's a great number of very helpful people and resources around here.  Bitcoin grows every day through shared knowledge!

As to one of your other questions about exchanges, I would direct you to https://btct.co/faq (https://btct.co/faq) one particular example of a Virtual Currency Stock Exchange.  Here you can put some of your BTC holdings and buy shares of stocks/bonds/funds that are typically BTC-based.  There are other sites that do similar, but it's very cool.

I think that he was talking about Forex, but BTC-TC is pretty cool.  I bought my first shares of BTC stock earlier this week.

Who knows where Bitcoin will go?  I hope that it will do well.  I do agree that Bitcoin will become more accessible as it becomes easier to convert BTC into fiat and back.  OR if BTC becomes dominant over fiat and people get paid with BTC rather than fiat.

Bitcoin and others are very good investments in my opinion but I have no idea as to how high the price could go. I was suprised to see Bitcoin go from 13$ to almost 150$. Lately I have been more interested in Litecoin. I will check out that coin exchange site. Thanks!

The "value" of bitcoins is in "losses" that must be "regained". Nothing more. Just like with any other item of value.

I pay you a dollar to do work, that I also had to work for, to get that dollar. (Almost redundant, paying you for work with a token that represents the work I just did. It is like a race torch... Here take this, now go do what I just did, but do a little more than I did!)

There is a large supply of coins now, and only moderate demand. When you buy a coin, you are buying some person's "losses" that were collected as overhead of processing or holding or theft or trade. EG, if I lost $100 making 1BTC, I NEED at-least $100 back, but I MIGHT accept $90 or $80, if I am pressed for cash... Or, I may decide, my losses of time, holding the loss, justifies another +$20, thus, now demand $120, because I am sure my future coins will be less, my future losses will be greater, or I am just greedy like that.

You will notice the price rising now, but a lot less people "buying" the losses/coins. So it is safe to say that $110 is the "true value", as of now. However, to the new ASIC's, who operate faster, and with less loss, they will be able to sell for less, and make more. Since they do not have actual "losses", after cashing-in on our losses. Thus, leaving a lot less people needing/wanting to buy, thus, further driving the price down as they drive us (the ones with the real losses), out for a "true realized loss".

Unless they do some heavy promoting of bitcoins to increase "other people buying them", they will be holding a dust-coin. Because those of us who leave (the ones with the loss), will not have anything to purchase coins with. And we already have a large supply in our hands that can't be sold for what we lost.

The future for bitcoins is near an effective end. The volume just isn't there to support it anymore, and the losses are reaching the point of no return for those who invested. However, other alt-coins have a potential that will suffer that same fate in time, but are on the upward path, nearing the value of bitcoins. This will continue until the "issues" can be worked-out, and those issues do not seem to be looked at, just accepted as, "the way it is". If that never changes, then the markets will continue to rise and fall, and consume one-another, and us in the process. The market itself has no losses, it is only us. Which is why the market exists and thrives in the first place.

The emergence of cryptocurrency has sparked a debate about its future. Despite some issues, its success since its 2009 launch has inspired the creation of alternative cryptocurrencies such as Ethereum. A blockchain of cyrptocurrency that is not just a simple ledger. It can execute codes that enables you to specify the conditions under which a transaction will
occur which is called "Smart Contracts". Smart Contract will be executed without any outside interference, and will even happen regardless ofthat fact that something might happen to a computer on the distributed database. Blockchain technology is indeed the future.

First and foremost, Bitcoin is already traded with US Dollar, Pound, Euro, New Zealand Dollar, Japanese Yen, and so many other fiat currencies. But it is dependent on the trading site. There are trading sites that offer only Bitcoin vs. Dollar trades. But I prefer Bitcoin to be traded primarily with other cryptocurrencies. With regard to Bitcoin being a digital currency, I think it has to remain just like that because it was designed and invented to be a just like that: a digital currency.

I think cryptocurrencies will eventually be traded in ETF’s at some point. I think cryptocurrencies will be considered commodities based on the tax laws in the US. This way the government can tax the profits we make when we sell the cryptocurrencies. I think we can live with these regulations as long as they don’t ban cryptocurrencies completely and as long as we can freely trade them on exchanges. At this point it seems that the current laws are not preventing cryptocurrencies from being successful.

Having this crypto currencies in this present generation will lead us into having a single currency worldwide just like USD. And it happen that only digital currency(bitcoin) will be accepted when doing online transactions. But it doesn't mean that it would replace USD, because we also considering of local transactions made that fiat money is only accepted.
And having this two options, it can make us to have more comfortable life as we have a choice of what we have used in a certain areas.

ICO's have come a long way and continues to exceed our expectation. ICO as a new business model leveraging blockchain technology will sustain as the digital way , combining crowdfunding and a new hybrid asset class of equity ownership and currency.

The one who caught my eye is Propthereum.io. They are an upcoming asset backed coin. If you are interested in investing in ICOs, i suggest you check them out. They are expecting a 1566% coin appreciation in a short period of time.

An insightful question, and even more pertinent now that everyone seems to be saying that the bubble will burst. But even if it does, will that mean the end of crypto? I think, not. We are too diversified and blockchain and tangle technology have too may applications to be broken that easily. Just take a look at what projects like AppCoins, Nucleus Vision and Naga are doing, and you will understand that our future lifestyles are well and truly meant to be run on decentralised platforms.

When the bubble bursts you will likely see a lot of tokens and coins that were previously worth a reasonable amount go down to zilch, but a few of the major coins will still be very valuable (BTC, ETH, LTC, etc.). Then you will see a resurgence in crypto, although there are likely to be many governments who will launch regulations on ICOs, exchanges and free trading in the wake of the crash.

It is 2017, 4 years after the original post, and you can clearly see that Bitcoin is on the cusp of becoming a globally traded currency alongside other altcoins. I'm so glad I stumbled across this thread, because now it seems that your question can be answered with a resounding YES!

Since bitcoin had been on the rise nowadays, the most probable scenario in the future is that this type of currency will be the next big thing to the point where the world might revolve around it (it might happen!). Nonetheless, that is of uncertainty. The only thing sure for now is that it is a good investment.

If you understand fiat and crypto, you don't touch fiat anymore

It's all in btc, bch and xrp

You have a floor trader account to trade

You have offline storage to hold

You need some dough, you use cash and not coin

Cryptocurrencies will continue to be relevant. The way Facebook unified and connected the world via social media, cryptocurrencies will be used to melt the frictions that arise from nation states. WE ARE at 1992 of the Internet revolution but with money.

That being said: the 90’s were dominated by Netscape, Yahoo, and AOL. 20 years later and Yahoo is the only one really still holding on (and honestly I’m not sure if I would take them or Macy’s as the company most likely to implode in the next 24 months).

Bitcoin, BCH, Ethereum, Ripple, Dash, Monero.

Atari, Commodore, Nintendo, Sega, Intellivision.

You don’t know which one will come out on top, but there is no way in hell the technology is not disruptive enough for one of them to evolve and dominate.

Some limitations that cryptocurrencies may encounter - such as the fact that a person's digital fortune can be erased by the destruction of a computer device, or a virtual vault that can be looted by hackers - can be overcome in the future through technological advances. What may be difficult to overcome is the basic paradox of cryptocurrencies - when it becomes more popular, regulation and government oversight will become increasingly tight, which could ultimately undermine the fundamental premise for the existence of cryptocurrencies.

in this modern and rising world, everything needs to be fast and optimize the convinient to all people to exist, so the born of cryptocurrencies is inevitable, cryptos will change the way we work online, we can trade and invest online, that is much more better than go to work in companies. and our privacy is also much better in cryptocurrencies because we use coins that anonymous to third parties.

Indeed, the time has come where bitcoin is the most popular and valuable cryptocurrency where people from Wall Street to CME are investing their money into it. Bitcoin also reached another level where people are trading it on the same market with USD, Euro, and Pounds, e.g. Square cash and CME.

The future is bright, unless we don't meet scams. Everyone is looking towards 2018 and it is now started and hoping to see a lot of fun in rising Bitcoin. I too thought a lot of things to finish in 2018 and now it is the time ti grab everything. Most of the time we find here a lot of ICO's scams that will attack us.

According to me, in the future cryptos will gain widespread acceptance among the consumers. Huge section of technology-savvy individuals and companies have already started favoring the decision of using different form of encrypted currencies for transactions as they are safe, maintains privacy and the speed is fast.
Some of the cryptos can become mainstream currencies.
Their market value will increase. The cryptocurrencies will emerge which will give a healthy competition to the current pioneer Bitcoin.

much higher than any other investment that I have ever done.  ;D

the future of the crypto currencies are not so good for all. But some of them which are going high in the market will rise more because at present time people are taking high interest in those crypto currencies which have high value in the market and high raising value. Like bitcoin have high value in the market. So like that those currencies have high value in the market at a present time will rise more in the future and their future will more brighten then today it is.

Indeed, the time has come where bitcoin is the most popular and valuable cryptocurrency where people from Wall Street to CME are investing their money into it. Bitcoin also reached another level where people are trading it on the same market with USD, Euro, and Pounds, e.g. Square cash and CME.

Yes it definitely feels like change is in the air, still there remains a lot of change and progress to be made before we reach a decentralized future. Only time will tell exactly what that future will look like

The time is what justifies everything. What you were asking few years ago is currently happening because bitcoin is being traded with the major fiat currencies by CME, MAN, and CBOE. The major futures of bitcoin by these trading and exchange options is what makes bitcoin is so valuable today. The bitcoin has a limited supply and yet playing the same game with the major fiats currencies in the world such as USD, Euro and Pounds.

And what do you think of this?

I believe that in the future we will live in the era of Crypto-currency. Perhaps the first step will be the creation of one of the states, its own crypto currency, but with the possibility of complete control over its circulation (collection of taxes, control of purchases), the second step can be a complete disposal of the money we are accustomed to. Our children will be ready for a new, and then our economy will change completely!

A cryptocurrency that aspires to become part of the mainstream financial system may have to satisfy widely divergent criteria. It would need to be mathematically complex (to avoid fraud and hacker attacks) but easy for consumers to understand.

Bitcoin will have some improvements on transactions, that will make it much better to use as a currency.

Cryptocurrency  is digital currencies that are used with the techniques of cryptography to know crypto we have to know what is Bitcoin. Bitcoin is decentralized currency that is earned by the function of networks. The decentralization is free from government interference Bitcoin are created digitally through a mining process. Fiat currency is centralized one and the bank regulates the amount of currency and is generally secured, but Bitcoin is digital and decentralized in nature and has no securities or no mechanisms to support.

Currently it is more than 1500 cryptocurrencies trading in the market, total market cap is around 450 million usd and BTC dominance is 42%. It's very big amount of money pumping in the cryptocurrency market. The way they run the cryptocurrencies are successful enough to replace by the national currencies. In the long run some amount of money will be lost in the ecosystem but there is also possibility to make huge profits.

Abilities of the crypto currencies specially the bitcoin is very much and it is expending more on the behalf of increasing number of investors and highly increasing demand of bitcoin, so the future of crypto currency is very bright now almost all payment systems are turning to digital system and it will be the only currency in future according to me.

The future of crypto currency is Bright. Because day by day the people are getting more engaged with crypto currency. So, indirectly the investment in this sector is increasing. The value is also going at a high rate. But yes it's not approved through out the whole world. So, there is a possibility of being restricted. If it's restricted then all the investor will be shocked and a possibility of getting through bad situations.

for a moment, we still see crypto currency as a commodity only, not legal currency, but we do not know what will happen in the future. because of the bitcoin volatility hard to predicted.

the value of bitcoin has dominated over the gold value for 2 years, even some figures predict that bitcoin in this year will reach $ 100000.

so with that value, bitcoin will have the chance to become the world's largest digital currency. and also with support from the world when they accept bitcoin, bitcoin will be traded on the open market.

The Federal Reserve could issue its own digital currency, as some global central banks are exploring. Large companies such as Amazon, Walmart and Starbucks might issue digital coins that inspire trust and gain wide acceptance. Retail giants, by accepting payments in the currency, could elevate Bitcoin, Ethereum or another cryptocurrency above the others vying to offer safety, soundness and utility. Finally, if  trust is lost in government-backed, or fiat, currencies, a cryptocurrency future could come about by default. That may be a risk not only in places like Venezuela, but in the U.S., where federal deficits are spiraling.

welcome to the forum, but you do not forget that spreading bitcoin to the public is also our job, bitcoin is an imperfect commodity, meaning that bitcoin will become a legal commodity if a country legalizes bitcoin, then there is bitcoin regulation, and there is also a bitcoin tax.

for now, bitcoin has not yet entered into the currency list in big exchange. because bitcoin is still unstable. but bitcoin has the potential to enter the free market and large exchange, competing with the USD, the euro, and others.

bitcoin will be a state asset if bitcoin already dominates every transaction, like in japan, bitcoin is a Japanese asset, but it can not be owned forever.

Future of Cryptocurrency ? Investing in Cryptocurrency like Bitcoin (BTC) is good or bad ?

In my view a smart investment and very high vigilant investment could bring a good return via Cryptocurrency. You need to be well learned and quite active. Being a Cryptocurrency Investment consultant I always guide other who want o invest in Cryptocurrency and help them to grow their money.

Start with small investment and initially do day trading means invest small amount in a small cap ALTCoin and after day end or next day sale it when you see that you are now getting 15%+ profit. Don’t be greedy initially.

Upcoming Jio Coin, Ripple, Dag Coin, TRX are some of the good ALTCoins to trade in and get the good return.

Yes Crypto currency investment is more risky than normal Stocks or any investment but this is also true that you can have high return as well which other can’t give and can never give for sure. Only knowledge and understanding of this Cryptocurrency can help you how to lower you investment risk.

To keep yourself updated about good upcoming ALTCoins for investment and further prediction of the Cryptocurrency price drop or up, I would suggest to use crypto news apps in your phone to always get 100% correct news and upcoming challenges that you may face while trading Altcoins, like Ripple, Bitcoin, Ether, etc.

The future of crypto-currencies is as speculative as the current prices have been in recent years, nobody knows for sure what the future might hold, but we all want to get into it anyway. This is an age of smart technology, if we can admit that smart systems based on artificial intelligence will one day be main stream, thus in the same measure we can speculate the same future for crypto-currencies.

The fact remains that many organizations and governments are taking serious interest in the crypto-currency market place. Most of these interests have been blamed of recent to be responsible for the price crashes we have witnessed and yet it is same interests that have driven some of the price surges observed over the years too. Many firms are now offering to receive payment via crypto-currencies, most are said to prefer the method as opposed to traditional methods without anonymity.
The question whether more governments and organizations especially the rogue ones who prefer to transact internationally on stealth mode remains to be said. All these are simply speculative at the moment and heavily driven currently as being a source for get rich quick schemers. We simply might just be in the middle of a revolution against traditional methods, and crypto-currencies offer just that in the financial sphere.
The future of crypto-currencies solely lies on me and you, do we accept this as legal tender, can we have a strong resolve to fight against future regulation of the market to suit the corrupt governments of the world? If the current general interest continues on this high note, we can say with certainty that there is a great future for crypto-currencies
I believe in the future of crypto-currencies. If you want to know more about different cryptocurrencies and how to buy them, here’s a resource for you.

I consider only one cryptocurrency which has future, and that is Ethereum. Ethereum is not just a cryptocurrency like bitcoin. It is a technology which helps write smart contracts and helps you build blockchain based softwares and applications.
With the help of Ethereum you can create your own software or even build your own company through smart contracts. Tech giants such as microsoft and facebook are already using Ethereum to develop blockchain based softwares. Microsoft is majorly involved with Ethereum.

There are many more possibilities of Ethereum, and if you are investing or trading with Ethereum’s cryptocurrency Ether it can be beneficial.
Investing in Ethereum is a good choice, and it’s certain that Ethereum will not come to an end because of the features it provides.

The future of cryptocurrency is very bright. Currently, you can very well judge that almost every government across the world is trying to regulate cryptocurrency dealings. They are really terrified by this decentralisation thing. They know that it will do harm to them if they lose control of the financial system. Moreover, cryptocurrency is proving to be effective, efficient and free from old financial barriers.
As per latest cryptocurrency news published on sites such as CryptoFlash, Bitcoin will act as a flag bearer and it will be followed by other cryptocurrencies. Currently, Ethereum and Ripple are getting ranked higher but in future there are complete chances that some other cryptocurrency will take their place. May be Stellar, Dash, Litecoin or Neo…

Thanks!

Apparently recognition of bitcoin as a currency in the world market will have to wait. Bitcoin has shortcomings, the solution of which can bring crypto-currencies closer to world recognition. And now is a way to earn money.

The more people who know about bitcoin is certainly a good thing because it will make it easier to spread knowledge about bitcoin.

I absolutely agree! We should think about this ear of bitcoin as an experimental phase. By studying it and using it, we learn its flaws. This just means we can improve it and make it better. Some way, everything that is happening today will prepare and equip us for a future where we will have a virtual currency for the world. When tech advances, so do we.

Thank you! It is a very interesting article. Lots of good information here

The more people who know about bitcoin is certainly a good thing because it will make it easier to spread knowledge about bitcoin. The fact that one can become rich by simply buyingband holding, trading or even participating in signature campaigns is mind blowing.

the cryptocurrency market is highly volatile more than anything. currently they are serving the investors a speculative instrument. there are huge risks involved and many nations have been restraining it in some way or the other. many scholar nd industrial leaders have stated that bitcoin and many other cryptocurrencies are some sort of ponzi schemes. bitcoin is basically a proof of concenpt in many ways.bitcoin was introduced to try decentralized money.

This regulation and KYC things happening within the government are kinda killing Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Making "decentralization" into nothing.

It had always been a good time to me. I do not look at just the price but how bitcoin strive all the way up just so to prove it is worth something.
When you realize that then it will be easier to buy it without regret.
But as of now, I see more people just looking for profit. I agree we need money but should it be at haste? Why not promote the product first to take advantage of the profit later.

Regulations are taking very important place in deciding the future of crypto currency as crypto is no more hidden from the outer world and has became a world wide phenomena. Many countries are coming out with various regulations few are making crypto easy to use while other are closing the doors. I think a global crypto party should be formed which can help to grow crypto currency all over the globe.

I've been in this crypto sphere for quite some time and one thing is certain, cryptocurrencies are here to stay. We have seen their capabilities and the benefits that comes alongside them and we can all agree that these digital currencies are tbe future.

The cryptocurrency market is still at its infancy stage and we shouldn't expect a lot from it just yet. With time, its going to be one of the most important additions to our world.

I am sure that in a few years only the strongest crypto-currencies will remain in the market; all unpromising and unviable altcoins will simply disappear. bitcoin will be the most stable unit on the market, while 98% of other crypto currency will fail. further - large banks will use the block and the crypto currency Ripple as a means of payment because of its cheapness, speed and low commissions. also the price of bitcoin will approach one million dollars, as the issue of bitcoins is reduced, and consequently, the remuneration of the miners is reduced, so its value will only grow.

You are definitely right with that buddy. I know that in the country of Philippines they have that wallet, the coin.ph. It is an online wallet that stores crypto currencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, BitcoinCash and even their own currency, the Peso. And now this country is evolving the use of the coins.ph by having the CX. The future of the crypto currencies is really in action. in my opinion regarding with the future of cryptocurrencies has a bright future since most of the countries are already done making some countermeasure and accepting it. As we all know that governments in some other countries had stepped in and regulate cryptocurrency in their area like doing an intensified KYC on local exchange.

Yes, but not all countries are in favor of cryptocurrenices, but it's still a good news that big countries are regulating it and soon more small countries will also regulate this. It just need some more time to happen.

I am anticipating the brighter eventual fate of the cryptographic forms of money. Starting at now, the cost of Bitcoin is still at its defeat, however I realize that at some point or another this will take back to its steady cost. The universe of crypto is continue showing signs of improvement. As the days passes by, more clients, supporters and financial specialists are going to the cryptographic money network and improving this to become even. It would be extremely decent if cryptographic forms of money turn into a medium for installments

I think cryptocurrency have a bright future ahead of it. Especially more countries are now aware of it existing value. We all know that BTC went down compared to its value last year, but apparently, it's starting to gain this quarter. Cryptocurrency will surely be embraced by more people as time goes by. Never underestimate the dominace bitcoin had shown us all.

Bitcoin got a lot of exposure last year due to its meteoric rise and more cryptocurrencies are develop every day. Some of them will be worthless in a few years and some would flourish depending on the effort of its developers and if the community would support its project and use the coin for its actual purpose.

Blockchain technology is gaining traction and more companies adopt it because they can see that it has lesser expenses and more efficient transactions. Along with the adoption and growth of scope of blockchain technology would be the growth of cryptocurrencies as well.

Bitcoin is a digital currency that has some advantages that fiat does not have, that's one factor that makes bitcoin a valuable item, but recently more popular bitcoins serve as a future investment tool, no one knows how profitable it is to invest in bitcoins and how risky the investment is in bitcoin, I hope it will work out fine. I agree that Bitcoin will become more accessible because it becomes easier to turn BTC into a fiat and back. OR if BTC becomes dominant over fiat and people are paid with BTC rather than fiat.

Thanks!

You can see that the market is showing signs of uptrend in the short term as bitcoin and altcoin prices are rising steadily today, so I think that this time you should only invest short and not invest long term to bitcoin. Given that in long term, bitcoin prices are still bearish and may continue to drop at any time, I think the bitcoin price will fall to $ 4,000 by the end of 2018.

Awesome

These mass adoption will increase the value of cryptocurrencies on the market and they can be used for trading as fiat currencies. But some altcoins will be shit coins and will die out of the system.

Nothing is impossible man, its just a matter of time. I will answer this question with the history of bitcoin. After the coins were generated and Satoshi had achieved one of the goals of blockchain, there was no hope that people will give value to bitcoin. It was only for candies. But now countless of exchanges exist for bitcoin to be traded. So I have no doubt that bitcoin will enter a big open market for trading as the fiat

I think the future of Cryptocurrency is very bright. Also cryptocurrency which aspires to be part of the mainstream financial system may have to meet very different criteria. We are all looking into the future and now look forward to seeing a lot of fun in improving Bitcoin. I also think a lot of things to do at two thousand and eighteen and it's time to get everything done.

This is very impressive. I believe crypto currency will rule the world. I believe different companies will start paying their workers with cryptos. This kind of programme should be encouraged around the world to ensure people have more knowledge about cryptos. I see most people having no knowledge or very little knowledge about it which makes them scared to invest or get into the blockchain to engage in crypto currency activities.
Thanks for sharing this great post. 💗
Yeah, bitcoin is the first example for the good and bright future of the crypto currency. Bitcoin give us proof that people want to work with crypto currency and also they want to continue it in future.

Cryptocurrency deserves to enter the international currency market and to stand on a par with the dollar, Euro, etc. It's the future and we need to actively use it.

Government do play a vital role in bringing the regulations and boost the crypto . If they legalize it then it is a better option as even the business will start accepting it and thus the demand of the btc will rise. It will be regularly used in your daily supply as well.

It started as  play and was being ignored, now all eyes are on Bitcoin. No doubt there is a place for bitcoin in our society. The e-currency known as bitcoin have really made a mark in our society. Asking if there is future with bitcoin is like asking if there is a future in financial system. E-currencies will play a vital role in our future. No one is saying that fiat will seize to exist but rather both will operate along side and I believe that if bitcoin is being improved it will really stand out. They have tried to kill it with FUD and now they are trying to frustrate the community with whales manipulating the price. We will succeed.

 Thanks for A2A.
Some token that people call it cryptocurrency is actually more accurate if we understand it as a share of a company that innovate within the space of Blockchain, for example Ethereum, NEO, EOS is more than just a currency.
I believe that cryptocurrency and blockchain comapny are still in an early stage in terms of adoption and development, but one thing I can be sure is cryptocurrency is going to be our future, probably not all the coins we’ve seen now (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, …) but it surely going to be cryptocurrency.

The cryptocurrencies alongside the blockchain innovation that is driving it are upsetting the whole budgetary part. The ascent of cryptographic forms of money over the past couple years speaks to "the legitimization of another advantage class rising close by the conventional worldwide economy.
Cryptocurrencies are good source for getting greater returns but this only happens when you begin with a reputed stage like cryptobulls.

Well i don't know about replacing fiat, but i agree. The way we do transactions is evolving and it's evolving pretty quick. The transition from fiat to digital may take a long while but it will come.

I think cryptocurrency instability will make it difficult to become a future currency, and it is likely that in the future cryptocurrencies will be used as assets.

The idea of building an economy based on trust with the help of blockchain sounds exciting. However, it is also necessary to realize that there are barriers to the introduction of this technology. Among the key barriers are:
1. The excitement
Without any understatement, I can say that the excitement around the blockchain and cryptocurrency is incredibly high. However, there are areas in which the use of blockchain is at least impractical. Like any system, it can not solve all world problems. Excessive expectations lead to a drop in confidence. This especially affects start-ups that try to set and achieve realistic goals, as well as produce adequate products on the market.
2. Possible loss of integrity
It is generally accepted that the blockchain system is completely stable and cannot be hacked. However, there is a large number of blockchains. Some of them are less resistant to burglary. Blockchain on the algorithm of Proof-of-Work (on which bitcoin, Ethereum are based) was created on the assumption that no organization can control at least 51% of the computing power of the network.  Nevertheless, the computers are constantly evolving, which can lead to loss of integrity of the whole system. Since blockchain is proposed to be used for storing data of high importance (for example, real estate rights, state reporting, etc.), it should be stable throughout the entire time. Consequently, there is a need to develop mechanisms that would guarantee the safety of information for decades.
3. Scatter projects
ICO as an extremely popular way to attract capital in the blockchain space. On the one hand, this is a plus, since in this way it is possible to bypass the obstacles that accompany the traditional process of fundraising. On the other hand, in the process of venture fundraising, a detailed analysis is carried out, which increases the likelihood of investment return. In addition, an overabundance of money often leads to a lack of financial discipline. Not all ICOs are scabbard projects, but they undermine the credibility of really potentially good start-ups.
4. Finding the right balance in regulation
With full confidence, I can say that excessive regulation hinders innovation. However, this does not mean that the blockchain does not need regulation at all. To move monetary assets, issue securities and other financial and legal transactions, projects use the established legal framework. Industry representatives should cooperate with regulators in order to stimulate the renewal of a long-standing legislative base.
5. Cybersecurity
In any digital space, the problem of cybersecurity remains. Since the blockchain is constantly developing, it is ahead of the speed of other industries. In such conditions, cyber-security experts lose their advantage over hackers.
6. Resistance from state bodies and society
Worth remembering that the introduction of a system that will reduce corruption and make financial transactions more transparent is not beneficial to the authorities of corrupt state structures. Furthermore, blockchain will significantly reduce the percentage of the gray sector of the economy, which can cause discontent on the part of citizens who evade taxation or earn illegal. In addition, in any society, there is a stratum of people who are aggressively opposed to changing the habitual way of life, and the introduction of blockchain cardinally changes the space. Therefore, the wide distribution of this system will require overcoming a sufficient level of resistance from the public and states. For example, advertising space is regulated by giants of advertising platforms, such as Yandex, Mail.ru, Facebook, Google. The attempt to make the advertising space decentralized (a similar initiative offered by the Dan Service project), can meet resistance from their side, as in the future it will almost completely exclude intermediaries and thus reduce the level of earnings of these companies.
Future technology part is greatly idealized in the minds of the public. Blockchain really offers some kind of innovation, but it is worth taking any innovation through the prism of healthy pragmatism.

Crptocurrencies has a great future,  as an innovative technology, what we need is to improve up the existing blockchain technology.  Bringing project and tokens that have real life usage so a common man on the street can know how to use these digital currencies to buy stuffs from a grocery store or pay for services.  But I know we will surly get there.

i believe altcoins have future, its not that Bitcoin is already godlike and because it has a golden value or have very high price is that its perfect coin already, but it still has its flaws and lacks some things just like its digit in decimal place its somewhat very difficult to read for other people and some famous american citizen didn't even know what bitcoin is. That's why altcoins are created to fill the gap that bitcoin lacks.
