you must look into a lot of aspects but the main ones are

1) team (real or not, investigate)
2) whitepaper
3) product (finished or not)
4) use case for product
5) cap and token sale details

I am sure there are few more but those are most important

you must check first the white paper and their road map ! search for some important facts with the ICO
the crowdsale is one of the point that you can assure of strong ICO and the  development they are doing for the project! you can also see thhe crowdsale and available tokens to be release ! one more important  iin the campaign is their campaignn manager the higher the rank the less risk and you should chect the trust record of it !

If you want to spot a good project then you need to do some research about the coin for the possible reviews of other people and also try to read the description of the project to know what kind of project they are trying to make and if they are worth it to invest for your money and also read the description of the people or the team to know their background information to tell if they are a worth to invest our money or not.

Look as to what real world value this coin will have. Is it easily adoptable? Is it marketable? Which exchanges will it be listed on? The team. The price/sentiment of Eth at the time of purchase.

There's always a risk when involving in projects even project holders are in risk in case it don't success.
Dig deep about the persons on the back of the project, lastest jobs of developers, money and time invested all this to start from something. If you see something sketchy around you rather not to invest, but if you are into speculating on projects some risk's should be taken.

A few things stick out to me:

- Functionality. Does the project serve a purpose that hasn't already been filled by some other coin? Usually coins that do something different other than just copy/pasta another coin will be more successful.

- Team members. Are they active on the forums and quick to assist members? Do they share their own social media links? No social links means it could be a potential scam and they're just trying to stay anonymous.

- Product roadmap. Do they have plans for the future or are they just winging it? You never want to invest in something that doesn't have a clear plan for future development and additional features/upkeep.

- Market implementation. Do team members of the coin/ico have agreements in place to be listed on popular exchanges (This one is big)? Good marketing strategy is important. Are they able to get their point across even to users with no previous crypto experience? Do the have plans for multiple language translations (Really important for expanding mass market potential)

If it has a good ICO and a good price already raised so that means it can hit it's max cap easily if they are already in a big amount just in the Pre-ICO. and if there are many people joining campaigns. especially when legendary joins.

You should read their white paper. If you see that it's just copy paste from other projects, then you should be cautious on joining orinvesting on that project. You should be research deeper because not every details and informations they give are true. Like pictures. Sometimes they use other pictures which are not them just to present to people. So check that also. Every good project have reputable developers. You should check them. They must present a roadmap. Soem scam ICOs are not presenting any roadmap. So beware of that.

ICOs is more risky. So better have a deeper research about the project to avoid losses. ICOs these days are just popping out of nowhere. Some are just so hype but you can't see the uses or value of that project. Now that China ban ICOs only few ICOs i think can make the project successful. Some ICOs will give huge profit from the start but it's being dump later on. That happen too often.

I usually watch videos on youtube pertaining to the coin that I'm interested in , one of the most informative channels is called, DataDash and Crypt0. You could also read the white paper, but I find that the actual use of the coin is more important. For example, EOS is developed by the creator of Steemit and Golem is a coin that's backed up by a very strong team of devs that are building a decentralized way for everyone to make money from their unused computer power.

Find the best method that will help you not only understand the coin but the company's vision so that you can make the right decision. Again, I personally watch youtube videos by the most trusted tech-minded people in the industry to help me understand all this new tech that's always changing in the crypto-world.

The first step, in my opinion, to qualify a project is:

- Understanding the Blockchain, its peculiarities, its advantages on the fingertips
- Understanding technical constraints
- Understand Ether, Bancor (Smart Contract, Smart Token)
- Read the White Paper
- Watch the team Qualified? Nationality? Past? ... )
- Watch the Roadmap

Have Balls :D

There only one phrase "research" nothing else. Need to being educated, it's not fair just started. You guys invest exactly what can afford to lose. ICO so risky, get knowledge the overall project to deal it.

I dont suggest a newbie to join ICO, because it is really hard to see a coin is a good project or no, usually people searching for the team developer, the whitepaper and the official site, see how serious the marketing team, but all of them can be made up, so there is still possibility that you can get scammed even after you research all of that properly

Pay attention to the PlusCoin project. There is a ready-to-use platform, an application - everything functions properly. The idea was successfully accomplished and it is developing, judging by increasing of partners  number of the project and the audience. Moreover, the plans on the future on introduction of new (cool, by the way) functions and opportunities are also stated. I think that it is very perspective.

There are so many project in this forum. If you want to join Signature Campaign, you must see the guides and you will know which one is active and paying. But, not all campaign is written there.. sometimes you can see people with the signature but you never see thread.

Not all ICO or project that promoted by campaign is legit and trusted. Some may be scam one day.

I think the following factors determine the quality of a good project:
Availability of coins
Adoptability of coins
Status and quality of the persons behind the project
Possible uses of coins
Type of exchange to be used etc

In addition to these, lot of factors to be considered while determining a good project.

You should do some investigations before investing  :P
First, the team, team members are the key, visit their profiles and try to find if they really exist or just unreal profiles.
Second, read the whitepaper and try to judge by your self if the project will succeed and have an opportunity to survive.
Many other ways may help you choose the good project, even the official website can help you if it's professionally created or just using a free script...
Follow your intuition.

To add to this:

6) Does the project require a blockchain or is just a money grab
7) Is the project unique or is just another clone of something already out
8)

As for as profit if you only want to make 10-20% if you get in early you can dump as soon as they hit an exchange.
If you want to make 10x roi you may need to wait 1 year.

You can also just wait for it get on an exchange and wait for it's price to drop, the price always drops,  and get it at a discount.

FYI
Full disclosure I am the CTO of the BlockRx.com project. ICO live now.

3rd Who are joining the the project, if big member of forum join it may good
4th what is the company condation
5th you can take help from your nearest friend who is old at forum

I'm also not sure on how to know if a project is good. But i guess giving a tip wont hurt. I'm also a newbie though.

I'm currently doing a campaign and it is for electroneum. Electroneum has good reviews, it has a website and white paper. Most of the things inside the White Paper are legitimate content. The founder of electroneum is personally inside the white paper. There are no reports that electroneum is a scam. They are also doing a lot of social media campaigns which is a hard thing to do if it is a scam. So i guess these are some points to give attention to if you want to know if a project is good.

2. It is predicted that this project will take a big segment in the market.
3. This idea is unic and it is a good blockchain usage.
4.It will solve an actual market problem.
5. The white paper is completely described.

don't trust other people about ICO's.. asking anywhere is kinda a bad idea, because it's likely that you'll get approached by a scammer and easily fall prey to him. Try to use your own brain, look at the website, look at the team who is developing the project, read the whitepaper. Do these things make sense? Is there something mentioned that sounds kinda off? Most of the ICO's have social media's (twitter, telegram etc.) where you can the developers personal questions, try looking for these.

You could see who their teams are and check their whitepapers to predict whether those project will be a success or not...

So, I think you might wanna take a look for a while and see how ICO works and their future, before you start investing ~

One good piece of advice is to learn as much as you can about the limitations of blockchain technology. Many projects gloss over the specifics about how they'll use blockchain technology to build a better business than they could otherwise have built with more traditional technologies. If you can effectively determine whether or not a specific use case actually needs a blockchain, you'll be better off than most.

To know if a project is good, you must research everything about it. You can also ask for opinion, experiences and comments here in the forum. That way you can be sure to invest your time and hard work. That's what I think.

It think this answer good. But I can advise to pay attention to the financing scheme. The money goes directly to the creators of ico or the funding comes gradually, as the fulfillment of the conditions of the contract.

For newbie it is not recommended to go directly into the ICO offering. It is better to get used to the crypto world first. Let is grow on you. Understand how crypto world works. If you have basic understanding of blockchain then try to read more about crypto currencies with different purpose. Like bitcoin is a crypto currency however ripple is not. Some are just tokens. Understand their purpose, what purpose they serve to. Read the whitepapers from the developers.
Check the team behind a coin or token. Check their reputation. With whatever amount of money you have, invest them in bitcoin. Bitcoin is global currency in crypto world. Everybody like to have a trade in bitcoins.

you have to read a lot, to understand what the project is about, it's not easy but definitely possible. First of all, make sure the project has a well done web-site, that it's functional and serves it's purpose. Many of times people disregard that, but they have to understand that if the team can't even get the website right, how are they going to get an entire project right?! Second, have a look at the idea and read the whitepaper, what problems does it solves and is there an "open space" for such a solution in the market? What about the competitors, is anyone offering something similar or is it an innovative product? What could be it's impact, ask yourself such questions to determine if there is any underlying value behind the project. And lastly, make sure to check out the team. What have they been up to? Is their education related to their endeavors and do they have the skills to execute their idea? After answering these things you'll have a better idea about the project.

I think the following factors determine the quality of a good project:
Availability of coins
Adoptability of coins
Status and quality of the persons behind the project
Possible uses of coins
Type of exchange to be used etc

In addition to these, lot of factors to be considered while determining a good project.
I'm newbie, explain me please what do you mean - Adoptability of coins?

To know a good project, you need to get comments or surveys regarding that projects credibility and the people behind it as well. You also need to know there were people who were successful on that project. Otherwise, it will be too risky.

It is a hit and miss thing. Nobody can discern which project is good and which is bad. These people are a bunch of beggars. They are begging for Bitshares, Counterparty, or even Nxt and Ether. So would you trust a bunch of beggars or will you give them the benefit of the doubt.

1.  Clear and concise white paper
2.  Road map is not present
3.  Great English skills and no typos
4.  Linkedin Bios to the team
5.  When they use terms like, "No one else is doing this", "Best product ever", "Buy Now", or any other call to action words in their white paper
6.  Not properly identifying their competitive landscape
7.  Broken links on their website
8.  No mention of Allocation of Funds

10.  Do they have any knowledge on Blockchain

Yes as mentioned above, do your due diligence by validating the team, whitepaper, etc..

But I would think that the most important thing is the Concept! Is it something innovative and unique that brings NEW value to the crypto economy and the world?

There are lots and lots of ICOs doing pretty much the same things that have been done before.

It is inevitable that many of these fall away no matter how good the team and the technical aspect of the project is.

Satoshi started Bitcoin by himself and look where its gone. Its the innovation and vision that really matters.

All the best.

It takes a great deal of research to investigate a good project. If you will part away with your money,it depends on whom you are given to. The team of the project are the people you are entrusting your hard earned cash with. That is the first things I check. A good project has the team displaying their members profile on LinkedIn. After I visit there,I can look at what they have done in the past and conclude if they can do something great with my money in the future.

+ dev: is the main component of ico they have a good team, ico is also good
+ communication network: any good ico is good communication: facebook, tiwtter, reddit, bitcointalk you can find out on all social networks what the article about ico.
+ price: if the price is too high then I think you should not invest.
+ roadmap: If ico goes as planned, it is very likely that ico will succeed.

If you want to spot a good project then you need to do some research about the coin for the possible reviews of other people and also try to read the description of the project to know what kind of project they are trying to make and if they are worth it to invest for your money and also read the description of the people or the team to know their background information to tell if they are a worth to invest our money or not.

Your suggestion make sense. But where can one research? Here in BitcoinTalk or Cointelegraph?

It takes a bit of research. If the application is "cheap" and seems to be done on a speed, it already indicates that it is not a project in the long run. There must be more designers, programmers in the team. An important "white paper" is where the plans for the future are presented, etc. etc.

Firstly, I always see who open that threat, official new-account or manage by old-account bounty manager, or fresh newbie account using un-related name or not represents the brand of the project. Then I look at their content, how detail and compact the information they give. Is there any weird thing. I usually observe first about 1-2 days before deciding to fill up the form. And be careful before fill the form. Now, I always consider if they show the spreadsheet publicly.

Check how fast a project is building up. Team, telegram chat, bitcointalk chat, are they transparent. Check the linkedin profiles of the team. Are they real. Do they have a registered company?

Like Trade Token (https://trade.io) accepts and fiat currency, meaning is regulated which means is real.

You need to answer firstly what field you want to invest in. Once you decide that, then spot the ICO that is working on a project in that field. Then start researching the different types of ICO's you have found. You can do this by browsing this ICO's website if it has one - it should have one if its a serious ICO.
Then check the white paper and definitely check the roadmap and see what the mission and vision of the ICO is. I believe that a good ICO needs to have a good team, to make sure the ICO will be successful. Once this is done, you need to make sure of the caps and token sale details.
This is how you know if an ICO is good!

Research is the key here. Just like any investment knowing the business, the industry and where they are going is vital. Here are a few things i look for in an ICO

- Strong team - Both in development team and also the CEO's / marketing (no point having a great team to create something, if nobody can advertsie it and push the startup in the right direction.
- Realistic vision - not aiming too high or if they do not reach their target everyone who invested will be disappointed
- Solid whitepaper - Well thought out, shows realistic goals, a strong good vision and a plan of action
- Strong social media presence - A social media that shows they are connected with everyone
- Good customer support - Shows they care, and they have invested time and money into making sure the average investor can ask questions
- Good website - A business who is willing to throw time and effort into a good website are less likely to be a scam
- finite supply - ICO's with no cap can be dangerous and can simply just damage their own coin by releasing more for more investment.
-Market they are getting involved with - Is this a new market? or a dying one? who controls the market?

Also here is an interesting article comparing ICO's with a working product vs a vision.

https://medium.com/@crowdholding/mvps-pocs-and-ideas-which-icos-should-i-better-invest-in-and-which-will-let-me-down-369bf1ffae2

Hope this helps and happy investing!

Before investing into any ICO, even when you find the project very attractive, make your own investigation. Browse information about the project team, check how long they use their pages in social nets, consider the whitepaper of the ICO and even the site design.
I also like when there are information that founders present themselves at conferences.

What i do to check whether the project is good or not is:-
1. I search all information  regarding the whole project on its website.
2. Then i search for its team members, whether they have that potential to make that project success.
3. Then i search that whether the people are taking interest in it or not.
4. Its popularity.

There are certain things an a factors which you should consider to judge a project.
1. IDEA -this is the most important factor to consider. Always look for projects with unique ideas as these projects have higher chances to grow with a very fast rate.
2. TEAM - a strong development team aids in faster growth of the project.
3. Popularity - popular projects have more support and popular projects are way more stable in the long run.

You can decide by analyzing and researching. Also, make sure you analyze people on this forum, who follows the project. And read their posts to decide whether they are knowledgeable  or not. In short, analyze!

Best and deciding factor should be the team, the people behind the project ... that is what you should look at first.

If the team is serious and they have good skills like these ones https://goo.gl/3eTiAK

to find out whether or not a project is good, do some research on the project first.
do research on the concept of the project (usually seen on the whitepaper), be careful about the development team (look for the track record, see the solidity and performance), and see also the community.

you must look into a lot of aspects but the main ones are

1) team (real or not, investigate)
2) whitepaper
3) product (finished or not)
4) use case for product
5) cap and token sale details

I am sure there are few more but those are most important

^^ what he said. A good ico to look into would be the bee token. They are taking a working model (Airbnb) and perfecting it with blockchain tech. The best part? Zero commission. I hate using airbnb because of those fees. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/59e52b47e4b04e9111a3e442

For our Rating System (http://iconow.net) we are using simple 5-point scale.
No SCAM rate - shows the level of trust in the project team.
Marketing rate - this rate shows the level of marketing activities (very important indicator).
Tech rate - the level of technical team (software developers).
Business rate - shows how is business model applicated to realities and how it is worked out.

For now rating is a private information, but we will publish all ratings soon.

to see if the project is good you can learn:
1. Learn the roadmap of their project
2. The most important thing in the campaign is the campaign manager the higher the risks and you have to give trust
3. ICO crowdsale is one of the points that you can convince the powerful ICO and the development they are doing for the project

My advice is identifying their roadmap or whitepapers. If that is not copy paste to other projects. Also, you can consider the team behind the project because it can help to identify if the project is legit.

we can identify a good ico project when we search information about that project o website, through their whitepaper, their token and roadmap, morover, can it be used by people in real life, finally how good the interact between developers and investors, but everything has risk, we can not avoid that but we can only minimize those risks.

There are several factors to find them. Media support, partnerships, the team, the linkedin profiles, whitepaper, social media accounts. Also their work should be large scale applicable, I mean their project.

The rest is not hard for a project to rock the crypto world!

Just have a look into the company profile first and then have a look on the market value of that particular company. Before investing in any company have a look on the price of the coin if increasing or not and if increasing then check the increment at what rate it is increasing.

you are right, its difficult to know where is a good project because we need to read one by one of every ico project and we need to research every of them. once we make wrong mistake and we invest our money, then we can not take it back directly but we need to wait until the ico project is finished and meanwhile we can only hope that the ico project will be successful. but actually we can prevent from getting scam by the project by doing many things to know about the project so we can have more info about them.

Maybe I'll give some advice here. The easiest way to know a good ICO or not, is in the following way.

- First we must see the website and its application. We should know that they should look convincing.
- We also see their developers. For people who know well-known and reputable developers, you'll find them trusting and happy.
- See testimonials or other people's comments about their products. If you have a lot of profits, you will surely believe.
- Look at how long the ICO was standing. If it's still a while, chances are you'll hesitate. But if it's been long standing, you'll definitely believe it.

And also, always do research on their coin so we know that their coin price can go up and succeed.

I think the ways to check to know the project is good or not is look into their whitepaper. Usally you can find their team member, roadmap, information about token sale there. Choose project have famous team member, and make sure those people confirm there work with that project. Choose the project have good roadmap, times release their product. Finally choose the project rise good amount of money, they do not need to rise too much money, 3-5 million USD is good for any project sale token, 5-15 million USD is good for blockchain project.

here is the ICO from Crwodholding (https://ico.crowdholding.com/), actually with a working product. You can earn tokens by answering questions on various tasks as well.
I think this ICo is a great one. The product allows you already to earn, you can test it out through their platform (https://www.crowdholding.com/newsfeed), and the evaluate the possibilities of the concept Crowdholding claims and invest in.

. The team, who's behind it.
. What they do (whitepaper, roadmap, plans, etc)

And because you asking about putting your money to be invested, the most important-forgotten thing is about its business.
How the way they make a business "packaging" from the concept they bring. I just learn about this, and I see some ICO bring a brand new technology, new concept, but it's become useless when they fail to make it as a business. How can people buy their token if it's not prospective.

yeah I agree mainly about the team, this is very influential, if the team has a poor track record, this is very dubious. especially if his team just take the name alone without being noticed by the person (the person does not know menahu), this is very very doubtful and dangerous.

A good project has a good ICO and a good price already raised so that means it can hit it's max cap easily if they are already in a big amount just in the Pre-ICO. and if there are many people joining campaigns. especially when legendary joins. Dont join a project that is asking for your private key coz they will just hack your account. That's what i know from a good project. :)

You will know if an ICO has a Good project when it reaches it's max cap too early and easily before the date they assumed to finished. Also read their whitepaper. And as you can see a good ICO project has already a high value in markets but not that to high, unlike those who are not finish in their ICO stage. Im a Civil Engineer and most of the ICO im interested to are related with real state project. Another thing is the credibility of the team behind the project, most ICO are scam and the people they put in the info are not real people. So be sure that the team have already been known as really a ICO people. You just have to read and study all the given info, dont based your interest on how well thier website look like. For a mean time, you can just follow some people who are into ICO since then, they can suggest you what good project are.

The best way is to do your research and watch the market. So many ICOs launch daily and you have to keep your eye out for the good ones. You can find these by looking into the ICO, check out their background, business plan and the people behind the ICO. A great example of this is Propthereum.io, an asset backed cryptocurrency on the blockchain. All proceeds raised from their ICO will be used to purchase A-grade property worldwide. This will generate a rental income and underlying value for the PTC token holder. This means the coin will always increase in value!

Beside the usual whitepaper, website.....etc.
Is the project Open-source,GitHub activity? is the project feasible or only hype words?

Check their social media, check for fake likes ,followers, comments and where the followers are from. Join their slack, telegram or whatever they are using.
And check ratios.

For example Paragon got over 100k followers and likes on facebook, but when you check their twitter(2k followers) and reddit(223 subs).
Well you can deduce for yourself, there is clearly something wrong with that ratio.
There exist many paid services that can do in-depth analysis, but you have to pay for them.

Check the project is doable and preferebly already done.
Check if they have use case ready and partneship going.

New ICOs are like pigs in pokes. You couldn’t be sure about the profits of them. Some ICOs like Tezos are looking like fraud, some more successful. Find some ICOs which works during half a year at least. Invest in it. It will be most reasonable way to begin.

If anyone really want to know a good project, firstly he or she will need to know about the project and this project's ICO websites. Secondly, he or she need to know about the project's details carefully such that whitepaper. Roadmap is a very important point, so it should be needed to know.I think lastly he or she seriously and carefully need to know about the bounty and signature and social media campaign. After knowing all these things, then anyone can able to know a good project.

You can first look at ICO websites:
http://icorating.com/
https://tokenmarket.net/blockchain/all-assets
https://picoloresearch.com/upcoming

It will help you at first spets to understand what is going in ICO!

Thank you for this information. I found them very useful.

These websites write ICO rankings for money. The more you pay the better ranking you get. They even give a high rank to shitty scams like Paragon coin ICO.
Do your own research! If you are not ready to spend dozens of hours to investigate the project - you are going to gamble. If you want smart investment - be smart and research!
This is true which i dont really trust up some review or ranking sites because if you do have the money you can really manipulate the ranks and we do all know sites would really put you in the list as long the developer or owner do have the money to put on just to show to public that a certain project do have a good ranking which people do easily invest because they do see that it is on top but the truth is they are just being decieved. The solid thing you should see is the actual number of people in the community who do support such coin or project and not just being hyped up. Better to avoid those things.

Investing always has risks but mistakes can be avoided through discerning the project you aim to join. You needed to consider couple of things before jumping into conclusion of investing. Needed to consider the following:

*  The whole project: what is their vission? Is it executable?
*  Team behind: are they well experienced or if new, are they trustworty, know how in blockchain business?
*  The product or service they are offering: does it hold a potential market? Will investors go for it?
* Platform, system, startegies: arecthere tools to be used as support? Are they doing campaigns and funded marketing promotiona? Do they have a contingency plans?

you can see their white paper first, and then see ann and their website. learn their project first, how many targets they want to achieve. then see how their team works. whether they are always updating about their project and they must be transparent to notify the progress of the project.

that is where some are being trapped to join on such a fake project it is not easy to know what are the best projects are but you can do that just make study dont rush to join unless you convince your self that this maybe a good project yes its easy to decide but always think for the concenquences that you can take if you going to rush. and yet agree on it for the community the volume of people that are inside and trusting on that project can help you too.

The best piece of advice is to find out more about the team and whether they had any other successful projects in the past. This info should add some more confidence to your decision to invest. I'd never invest in a project which looks great but has suspicious team members involved. Even if ico listings and reviews claim this project is the best.

I basically see whether the ICO is product based or not. I see whether the token supply would meet the cap targeted. Then i would have a glance at the team to see whether their past achievements were satisfactory or not. Also, i would see their whitepaper thorougly to know their business model and token sale of ICO and pre ICo details. Finally, i would also have a look at their roadmap to see whether their achievements can be proven or not in the future.

i think by learning their project, reading and trying to understand their whitepaper, ask what we are curious is enough to know that the project is good or not. but this is not guarantee to know the project because i think there is more than that we need to know the project. we need to talk directly with the dev and the team so we know with well what they want, what they offers to customer and what benefits from their project.

If you plan to invest into tokens, please consider TE-FOOD.

There are only a few ICOs, which are based on existing products with fair market share. TE-FOOD is the largest in its category with more than 6000 business customers.

There are even less ICOs which build sustainable business, and at the same time, solve social problems. TE-FOOD can literally save lives by improving food safety in emerging countries.

And from that few, there are just some, which are not focused on getting rich quick, but realizing a decent business plan. TE-FOOD ICO has $16M hard cap, and most of the funds go to market expansion.

TE-FOOD with its working product, and is one of these few.

If you are interested check it out. (https://ico.tefoodint.com)

Many of us are ignorant about the coins. We do not have any idea about all kinds of coins. If you want to work on the project, you have to get ideas about coins, adults should know. If we want to achieve success, then this site should be behind. Altcoins And we need to understand what Bitcoins is, what we need to know. So, it is possible to benefit from a project.

Good ICO first and foremost has product or services. They only came to the market to raise capital to expand there operation or to undertake development of their product. have it in mind that you must invest into product and services.

Its not enough by just looking at the price of bounty that they are going to pay the consumers, We also need to look at the sales on how much they are capable to sell at the pre ico's time and when it is successful, I think that it s the best ico to rely.

It seems to me that most ICOs have just entered the market to attract capital (as you wrote), and they are not going to implement the project. Unfortunately. But there are really worthwhile projects, which are few.

There are several gems in this thread. Thanks for sharing everyone!

For me, it all boils down to:

  • my understanding of the underlying tech
  • my research skills

I'm overly simplifying it, but that's because everything is already so complex and branched out. I found that helps me think more clearly and focus on what I can do to separate great prospects from dirt.

Knowing how to code and having a solid understanding of the blockchain fundamentals is definitely a plus. Also your search skills (learn how to google correctly) are paramount.

Being open-minded but also skeptical at the same time is (in my mind) the key to approaching any new investment opportunity.

Good luck guys!

If you want to see a good project, then you need to observe through testimony from some people about the project, then look at the program that will be created if the company can exist among the community or even vice versa. because good or bad project depends on the sustainability of the project itself.

To find good project . So check that also. Every good project have reputable developers. You should check team.  They must a roadmap, Whitepaper, product finished, use case for product, cap and token sale details and some scam ICOs are not presenting any roadmap. because ICOs i very risky. so better have a deeper research about project to avoid losses.

There are many ICOs going on through this month but to me one of the best and potential ICO is AION. The AION TOKEN SALE will raise funds to continue working on bringing the third generation of blockchain technology into our lives. when we shall choose a a good ICO then we have to study on some terms of that Ico, they are: team members, whitepaper, product (finished or not), Roadmap, cap and token sale details etc.

Actually i always say to people the small trick to maintain how to check good ico.
First you have check the idea in whitepaper because its very importat.
Then check the team. Are they real or not?
Then check if they working product or not? If they have that mean they are legit.

Ask inconvenient questions in telegram. For example, is there an real office. Where collected money will go, budget. Look at the team. Ask who was the investor already.

- Strong team ( better if team have good adviser )
- Reasonable hard cap, not greedy.
- Good Idea, whitepaper
- !!No presale bonus, or a little bit!! ( at last time, people who bought on presale with bonus, often dump their coins )
- Social activity
- FOMO after whitelist closed

This is what I look at first of all at this time.

Think twice, before investment.

Only one way research.

Look into everything such as :-

- Whitepaper
- Team
- Concept
- Social media
- announcement thread

Then instead of investing, take part in their bounty campaigns, learn about them, ask questions there is no need to rush into investing.

You must check info of ICO so serious. You can use many tools to check it.
Any investment always under risks.
P.S: Sorry for my bad English. I'm still work hard to improve my english
the first thing that you should do to check if the ICO is not scam is from knowing whos the persons involving the project, make a background check from every single individual if they are reliable and trustworthy, from that you may have a good sight in every ico

Good projects comes also with good team, ideas and  application. Doing a lot of research is the best thing and weapon we can use against scam projects. Most of the people who are new to ICO investments are carried away by the too good to be true projects. This is actually my second time in an ICO bounty but it doesn't mean that I am good in choosing a good project because I still need to make an effort to identify every ICO I want to join. Take note that not all promising ICO's are having good projects so be vigilant. Just invest on how much you can afford to lose. In my case I can only afford to lose my time that's why I only spend my time on ICO bounties and choose not to invest my money.
