Some friends are askin me about cryptocurrencies. I explain this to them by giving examples from fiat currencies. Creating similarity between fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies is a good technic to explain bitcoin and others to them.

Honestly they don't.So i'm setting them examples about online currencies same with our fiat money or paper money. That's the time they start to understand a little.I even made some convertions for them so they could really understand about cryptocurrency and its corresponding value to our own currency. And they said WOW..seems very interesting!

I explain them short and easy what bitcoin is so they can at least make an idea about it. It is hard to explain all the process that bitcoin does and they cant understand it if they dont know all the informations. So explain them only the important part of bitcoin , what it is and how it works.

Normally they don't, but if you're intro cryptocurrencies long enough you eventually know how to explain the basics in a language fully understandable by most people. Then some get curious, and others don't...

Either way, it's still something quite out of the ordinary for most people, so it's pretty hard to explain...

It really depends on their background alot and also on their age. If peole have a tech background the chances are usualy good that they understand why I'm exited about Bitcoin. On the other hand people without a technical background won't understnad mich. They usually sthink it's a silly fraud and try to convince me that it's stupid by comming up with really nonsense arguments. What I usually tend to do is try to motivate people that they do the investigation parrt for themselves. Next time they meet me a lot of them are really thankfull that I kinda forced them to do some investigation on the crypto topic.

To be honest I've failed so many times I gave up.
What annoyed me the most was that after clearing one or two points they started with the same questions.

There are some friends who still bug me with questions even now and then but I don't have the patience to explain them and I just send them the links. Read it, make what you can out of it and choose if you wan to buy use store ignore.
And frankly speaking I don't know how they might react if they made a wrong choice when buying...like let's say 1000 in December 2103 and stayed 3 years mad at me for that. And then even worse because they sold at 300 and now it's at 4k.

So I'm juts going by the law of evolution, who wants to go embrace BTC he can do it alone, I'm not the one that will do the pushing.

No, it has not really been easy for me to explain to others about cryptos, their importance in today's economy and their future possibilities. I must admit that even for me it has certainly been difficult to properly understand all the technological bases behind the development of altcoins. I have an academic preparation as a humanist and that is why computer issues have not been my specialty, however the relevance that are taking the cryptos goes beyond the mere computational field, so I am convinced that ordinary people like me also have the right to to be involved and give an opinion on this subject, despite the resistance of the technicians who hate that we, the normal citizens, give an opinion on these subjects that they consider of their exclusive competence.

I think we do different strategy how do we share our knowledge about bitcoin.. Because I mostly do actual transactions and posting when they were around me at the same time I'm teaching them.. One thing that attracts them from learning from me is that I don't used referrals for me to gained or taking advantage on they're ignorance to this matter.. A simple thanks is as good feeling as winning a 1 bitcoin jackpot..

Usually, it depends on the other person's knowledge of Fiat currency and their financial literacy. If they are clueless, they will be skeptical and have a ton of questions. It is tougher to explain to them why Bitcoin has utility over cash in a bank, for example, and should be looked at as an investment rather than a gamble or risk. Most people will follow what they hear in the media - which can be a number of crazy things when it comes to Bitcoin.

Everyone has a different perception of money, so the conversation essentially revolves around how much they know about money to understand Bitcoin.

I always use easy to understand language when explaining the basics of Bitcoin, and quite often they do understand it, but it's a personal matter when it comes to people looking at Bitcoin as a useful tool or not.

And some people find it shady that the creator of Bitcoin has left and remained anonymous the entire time, and for that reason think it might be a scheme set up to make loads of money.

I never spend too much time on these people. If I see they like the concept, I gladly help them forward. If they think it's a scheme, I don't waste my time with them since they can't get their ignorance to make place for understanding.

Central Banks in all the countries haven't been truthful about the extent of fiat/credit issuance for decades - hiding this fact has made it easy for theft on a grand-scale from all peoples.

The lack of knowledge sets up a hurdle for those to understand. However we can take peace in the fact there are very smart people in almost every country that can read such systems, understand bitcoin, and have been engaged in acquiring bitcoin.

Bitcoin has freed, continuing to free, and tomorrow will still free many people globally from the centrally controlled debt-based fiat system that confiscates your wealth with inflation and tax. Bitcoin is a TRUE savings vehicle. Buying Real Estate, Hospital healthcare, Global traveling, College Education gets cheaper as you hold Bitcoin.

Bitcoin CANNOT be controlled.

Bitcoin cannot be made legal. Governments may still attempt to do so.

Bitcoin cannot be made illegal. Governments may still attempt to do so.

Central banks already control and manipulate Stocks, Real Estate, Gold, Interest Rates.

Bitcoin reached escape velocity 4-years ago in 2013 which means it cannot be stopped - cannot make it illegal or legal - governments/banks do not matter. Banks in every country for the last four years have blocked bitcoin businesses and bitcoin transactions. But every year Bitcoin got stronger.

On the opposite end of the spectrum the global fiat (US Dollars, Indian Rupees, Chinese Yuan, etc) bubble system broke a couple of decades ago.

Fiat around the world is forced to inflate issuance as its heavily infested, burdened and broken with:
-regulatory burden on fiat banks & system (incredibly costly)
-unemployment & other welfare costs
-inflating fiat to keep stock market rising and to keep house-prices from collapsing
-financing conflicts, bombs, and "aid"
-insurance fraud
-false claims and insurance loss-events
-stabilize regions after natural disasters
-keeping monopolies with internet access centralized and search engine crawlers centralized
-money laundering
-chargebacks
-frivolous legal costs (lawsuits bogging the system down)
-state-sponsored corruption and unofficial corruption (governments and gangs, banks and conartists)
-retirement obligations (debasement in value to keep up with payments from government or other retirement-obligations)
-fake credit (goods being transacted with credit-loss, replaced by inflation of monetary base rather than bringing perpetrators & source to justice)
-using enforcement labor to freeze accounts and assets and take away your money
-costs of auditors and budgetors and accountants to governments and businesses

Bitcoin, systemically, is free from these burdens.

Bitcoin is GLOBALLY held and sought after by people in almost every country - see global trade data by country or see this list:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1853019.0

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE STOP BLOWING BUBBLES OF EXTRA FIAT MONEY AROUND THE WORLD? (PLEASE NO MORE USD, EUROS, JAPANESE YENS, INDIAN RUPEES, CHINESE YUAN, MEXICAN PESOS - PLEASE STOP INFLATING AND MAKING BITCOIN SO VALUABLE)...stop this pumping

I doubt that we are ever going to know with any kind of certainty that people understand bitcoin or any other concept, unless those other people are proactively explaining back to us or explaining the concept to someone else and they are actually getting the details right.

I encounter regular people who express some curiosity about bitcoin, and I also encounter folks through LocalBitcoins (who tend to be a bit more sophisticated in their bitcoin knowledge), and even very informed people frequently get important and material details wrong when it comes to bitcoin.

Bitcoin takes a while to understand and explain, and aspects of bitcoin evolves, too.... so frequently, all of us are learning on a regular basis.. and sometimes, we might have to change the way that we discuss bitcoin based on what aspects of it are changing and even based on what kinds of questions another person might be asking or attempting to interact about.

I recall about a month ago attempting to explain bitcoin to a guy who I had met through local bitcoins, who was asking really good questions about forking and attacks on bitcoins and the relationship of bitcoin to altcoins, yet he also seemed to be a kind of newbie to bitcoin.   I walked away from that conversation in a bit of a daze, and I personally realized that I could have handled the whole situation better, and I attempted to explain way too much to him, and he was not ready.. and he caught me in such a way that I did not have a good enough explanation for him...and really I should have been asking him more questions in order that I could have tailored my response to his situation rather than coming off as a bit dogmatic (which kind of came from the way that I allowed him to prompt me...)...

So my point is that I think that we can continue to attempt to learn about bitcoin and attempt to learn about how to interact with people about bitcoin by trying to make  sure that we are getting diverted into the wrong level and/or kind of conversation that might not be fitting to our then audience.

I find it difficult to explain bitcoin and cryptocurrency to other people but I would usually introduce them to use this forum because they'd find out about it more when they use this. Basically, they don't understand it at first but most get interested especially when they hear the word "money" and when they find out about the high price of Bitcoin. I would say that Bitcoin is a digital currency and from that, they would somehow be able to grasp the concept of it.

It's hard for me to explain about the other aspects of Bitcoin such as trading, mining and blockchain technology, which needs thorough explanation.

One guy I talked to about Bitcoin felt like it was something only for the elite. Something only the wealthy could afford and not many people understand. I think part of the problem is that education and information is usually either by word of mouth or people have to make an effort to search and learn themselves. Since Bitcoin is not a business for profit, there isn't a great deal of advertising about Bitcoin. There are a few advertisements and one year a college football bowl game was sponsored by Bitcoin, but there isn't a lot of that. It's going to be a very gradual process that is basically organic and grassroots. That's not always a bad thing because if it succeeds then it will have proven to be deserving.

The issue is whenever you are trying to teach people something new some people will understand and some will not.
No matter how you try or which teaching method you used to teach them in order to understand they just can't because that is the way they are.
For me, I explained the concept of bitcoin and blockchain to lots of people some of them understand it very fast and some don't because that is the way they are, period!

The average joe will not understand Bitcoin, Crytocurrency, blockchain technology. It takes time to fully understand this. When i discussed it with a friend, i always ask him if he's an investor and willing to learn new technologies. Informative acrticles and videos on google and youtube will do. Anyway, Bitcoin is very well known now on other countries, he can researched all he wants.

If they get interested and ask me for more details i just redirect them here or to go on youtube videos that explain how btc works.

Not really they don't understand in first lesson. I tried to talk with my sister initially. She is marketing girl but still took time to understand the crypto currencies. I wonder why she did took that long. May be at the initially stages people are not agreeing to themselves about something like this can happen. When they get into it, like my sister started studying about the crypto then she got th feel for it. The ways of earning, long term portfolio for investments, trades and much more. It's not possible to tell someone in shot and let them trust on crypto currencies.

I hardly understand Bitcoin myself, it is so complicating and I always think back to Satoshi and what his intentions are on making some intricate but so simple for the user to use. I explain Bitcoin as something of a Mixture of a Stock and Gold, the value moves likes a stock would, and it is easily trade-able like gold is. To me Bitcoin is like nothing else and is a once in a lifetime opportunity to invest in. It is so unique and has all the reasons to go up in value and continue new uses.

All they understand is that they can get money from bitcoin which is true and not because bitcoin really is money at the same time but if you don't understand it I think it is difficult in earning with it, even if some people would surely want to earn with bitcoin if they don't have proper knowledge with it there would be a problem in the way they can earn with bitcoin I think the only thing possible for them to earn is just faucet.

Many people who don't know how these cryptocurrencies are working think that bitcoins are using only for illegal dealings so it is hard to explain or convince them these coins got a good feature. But nowadays bitcoin news is showing in many reputed news channels which gives some confidence to people go to bitcoins. Slowly most of the people will come to this crypto world for sure.

Some of them would get what you are telling them instantly.
There are also those whom you need to teach the following day so that all that you thought them would sink in to their mind.
And of course there are those that even they fully understand cryptocurrency will still criticize it.

whenever i try to explain to people about cryptocurrency, sometimes they just give me a blank stare, since it is new to them, but when I tell them it is a good investment and for sure you will have more gains, they begin to listen, however for those who really have no idea how money works, it is like trying to talk to a wall, and i just respect them who they are and what they believe, as we all know, bitcoin is a great investment, but it may not be for everybody, just take a look at those countries who legalized and those who banned bitcoins, it is true that both will have separate worlds, but in the end they need to respect each others decision. for those people who don't understand cryptocurrency, i just make sure to remind them, whenever there is a chance to try and research, at least have a little knowledge on what i'm speaking of, and if in time they begin to be curious, i will gladly teach them on what cryptocurrency is and how they can benefit from it, it does really takes one step at a time for those persons with less to zero knowledge at all with cryptocurrency to understand what we are doing, still we need to choose those people whom we want to help, because sometimes there are those who will just make fun of you, but in the end, we'll be the ones that laughing.

How you explain something to someone is really a huge factor for him to understand. Especially if you are introducing something that they haven't heard of and is new to them. Bitcoin, or cryptocurrency in general, is quite hard to explain especially on a technical aspect if you are talking to someone who isn't knowledgeable enough. If I'm gonna put it plainly, the first thing that I'm gonna say to someone is that it's a source of income. The term income alone can catch their attention. Then I'll slowly explain to them how it works and how he/she can earn from it. And as much as possible take time in explaining the technicalities like citing an example that can explain the terms simply without confusing them.

Yeah I get a hard time explaining things to people. Like in my friend circle when I told about crypto currencies they were like saying you are crazy man go away. There is nothing like that and if it's virtual then for sure it's real and all the stuff. That was the situation like, I know guys I have thousands of dollars from it but they were like still go away. That's frustrating sometimes when we are being nice to people and trying to teach them new era learnings and earnings. But anyways somehow it's not easy to tell about the crypto currencies to others as long as they get into it themselves. I believe only 2/10 get it right at the first time we explain them but in later times they get into it and learn by themselves.

I tried several times but i dont get much attention, you have to know that old people, or those who are above 30+ does not believe in new technologies, that is why they dont pay too much attention to bitcoin, and how digital currencies are going. I also tried to introduce my dad, but he can not even use his smartphone, so i could not expect him to manage bitcoin and the electronical wallets, it would be impossible for him.

i think some of them is understand but the others is still confusing although i give details explanation to them. maybe bitcoin is something new for them and they still thinking that is impossible to make money by internet. what they see is how people like us can earn bitcoin by doing free ways meanwhile the other people is buying bitcoin to make money or profit. but i don't explain too details for people which thinking like this, i only explain that bitcoin is the best investment right now in internet and its up to them if they want to join or not. the decision is always for them, i never push them to follow my way.

Sometimes there are people who doesn't understand immediately the cryptocurrency because it is a new term and concept so I would explain it in a way that it will be relatable to them. It would depend on who I am talking to. I am one of those people who doesn't understand the technicalities of cryptocurrency because I did not study IT or have a job related to IT but I understand the concepts of it and I explain it to others the way I understand it. If they have some questions that I don't know the answer as well, we will research it then to discuss about it.

Really hard, because I have the experience, after someone asked where I worked, see you never go to work, but you have the money. and I try to explain my work on actual bitcoin forum. first I confused myself, I want to explain where the start, slowly I started to explain to him that already know bitcoin, but after I explain in detail, he felt confusion, and I started thinking what if I explain to someone who doesn't know at all, it must be very difficult.

Some of my friends didn't really understand about what I'm trying to say about bitcoin and blockchain, I explained the simplest meaning to them yet they are calling this coin a scam and can easily hack because it is not in physical form to say it's a currency. Well I did my part to them to understand about crypto, Let's say some people are close minded to this things not because they can't really understand but simply they did not trust it and they want some proof to show.

The first thing that comes to their mind is that bitcoin is illegal and you can only use it to a black market or some say it's a money in the deep web. So whenever i try to explain it to them bitcoin is just a digital currency that changes value from time to time that's what i said to them and if they're curios i introduced them to bitcoin and start explaining from introduction > wallet > how to earn. and if they're not interested in bitcoin i don't force them it's not my lost it's their though.

I take to examples to explain how things work and finally they are satisfied with my explanation.

I am not completely sure if they really get what I am saying since I've been using some jargon that they might not understand. I try to explain in a simple manner but I am not yet that sure if they can grasp the idea. Let us face it, Bitcoin is a complex technology and explaining it to a non-techy person will have a hard time understanding them. Well maybe they are just interested in Bitcoin because it can give a possibility of earning.

I create a video which explains what is a bitcoin in which it contains a motion graphic that describes what bitcoin is and in which there is a narrative which is done by me, which is where the narration is useful to explain the purpose of what is displayed in the video.

Lets not judge them if they can not understand it easily remember that crypto currency is still new in the mind of people.

We honestly don’t think it’s that hard to explain Bitcoin or Blockchain to a “non-techy” person.
One could start by explaining what a “ledger” is, using a game of cards as a metaphor. A ledger is like a game of cards where every player is keeping a score record to ensure that noone is cheating. Those records are cross-checked to form a single ledger - a master-record, if you will. This metaphor can then be expanded upon to introduce a cryptocurrency as a part of the ledger, and so on. Hopefully that makes sense  ;D

My brother and sister, also my classmates, are intrigue to what I'm doing and they always tend to ask what is bitcoin. I explain to them thouroughly and state its advantages and significances, I think they understood my explanation although they still have some doubts because they can't believe that I can earn real money through this (in signature campaigns to be more specific) and they can't believe that a not tangible thing can have a value like real money does. In the end, some of them believe in me and some of them believe that what I'm doing is a scam (sounds funny, right?).

Yeah, that's right, the beginning will be very hard for them understand what it is. They have zero knowledge about it so it's not quite surprising. For me, I just explained the basic things, and deliver it in the best way that I can then respond to their questions that I can manage to answer. The rest, I tell them to do research online if they are really interested in it and I suggest the best sites where they can find useful ideas for them to understand it more clearly.

Some do not understand and some understands.  Normal people or those who are not technically inclined were sort of hard to understand things about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.  But those who are into fields of programming, it, and computer related jobs are easy to know and understand bitcoin.  My family for example, did not believe in me when I told them that it will give them earnings.  My special someone got to understand it quickly because he is working for a computer based company.

Additionally, common people believes that money would always come from work that they are exerting their time, money, blood sweat and tears just to get hold on to life - For short, for them, it's always physical money. I tried explaining my friends and they didn't no a flinch or an idea about what is a cryptocurrency as well as Bitcoin. Like they still have to learn more, and at the same time, I can see that they're not interested in bitcoin and such so I don't see myself wasting time on encouraging them unless they're willing to.

Them main problem is to explain to them how bitcoin requires no central bank and no central authority to be issued, and it's not backed by any government. If it lacks these "features", then for them the only way to explain it is by calling it a speculative bubble. It's like they cannot fathom the idea of creating value that doesn't require governmental approval. Very sad sheep mentality. These people can't be saved. There's a reason we the pioneers that will get rich and they aren't, don't waste your time trying to evangelize bitcoin around and mind your own business.

Yup. But to be honest it is easy to explain the basic concept. Which is Bitcoin is like a digital currency and can not be regulated or monitored by any system, not even the government. And as they said, technical stuff are hard to explain. This is because they do not experience it. It is hard for them to picture on mining through technology or things like that unless they try and experience it. Experiencing it and getting into Bitcoins is the best way for people to understand.

It depends on the person. I explain to my friends about cryptocurrencies through examples and show them my personal earnings for them to believe in it. Make them realise the potential of bitcoin. Don't use a lot of technical terms as they will get confused and lose interest.
Well you explained and what's next? I want to tell you his reaction when you showed him that one day you earned a few hundred dollars. His reaction is to quickly withdraw. They don't understand that if they leave then you can earn more. They don't believe in bitcoin so they have no reason to leave money in bitcoins. In order to become part of the bitcoin community needs to accept the ideology of cryptocurrency.

I don't think that's the case in most scenarios because people are still critical about bitcoin, with the banking community they are extremely critical of bitcoins just because theny stand to lose lots of profits if most of the world decides to engage in saving cryptocurrencies rather thanks banks

Someone does not understand what it is and how it works. But someone starts to be interested. I tried to tell my parents about Bitcoin. At first they were very skeptical and suspicious. But later they began to search for information on the Internet themselves and ask me more about the crypto currencies.

Mostly the closest people who would understand first is our family.  When they can see a proof that your in a good shape in cryptocurrency, they will believe and will be curious in asking about it.  Prove it to yourself first and explain some ideas on how you earn and sharing knowledge about it.

Its not that easy to explain to people about cryptocurrency most especially bitcoin some would be skeptical, speculates that its a scam. Some would listen but dont mind to understand. Most people need some proofs just to prove that bitcoin is real,i try to make an effort to make them understand but if i can see that they are not interested thats the time that i   dont have to bother anymore if they think that its a scam, changes would be seen in a naked eye that a person who participate in bitcoin forum would never be the same anymore. If they will take the opportunity that comes their way then ill be glad.

Honestly, I don't think they don't. There are some that understand but those people are the type of people that already have a knowledge about the basics of economy. If it's just going to be some guy out there without any prior knowledge, it's kind of hard to sense if they are getting it especially when they don't express it. Remember that most people wouldn't want other people to think that they are dumb, thus, act as if they get what you're saying even if they hardly do.

I don't really care if they understood it or not. I'm just going to do my thing and let them research by themselves. But I still try my best to actually put the explanation in layman's terms since it's also a skill to be able to make people understand what you're trying to say.

Honestly speaking, most of them don't understand. When I'm trying to explain and cites some examples about cryptocurrencies, most of the times they are having a hard time to get what I mean. It's not that easy. Some believes what capabilities bitcoin has, but some are not. So as of now, I'm still trying my best to encourage them to try bitcoin.

Then if they say yes. That's the time I started in explaining bitcoin to them. And yes they really understand. Its because they are really interested in topic. But if you tried to explain it to people who doesn't care about it. They will never understand you.

Many times I was being misunderstood and laughed about what I am talking about. They were not interested on what cryptocurrency is in general. They only know that Bitcoin is a money making tool online and have no interest on what to know more about it. They were amazed by how much is the value of Bitcoin but as they tackle their journey to earning it, they were being discouraged either by others or by themselves because they can't earn what they expect to earn. I always tell them to manage their expectations and know first how this works and what is the technology behind it. But there are others who are earning today since I first introduced them. They were very eager and determined to know more about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general. But I guess their hardwork paysoff

Most people I talk have heard of cryptocurrency, but they often think it's bonkers. However, even the ones that think positively of it get baffled and their eyes glaze over the moment you try to explain any of the technical aspects of it, or details of a specific project. It's completely overwhelming for them.

The main thing I've found that resonates, it's just telling them that cryptos at their most basic level, are just an encrypted transaction ledger that can store numerous different types of information.

It depends on how you will explain it to them, because if you do not know how to explain properly they will really not understand it. And to explain it properly you need to have a knowledge about cryptocurrency to make it easier for you to explain it to them. When I explained cryptocurrency to my friend, they did not understand it because I did not know enough about cryptocurrency. So I still need to know more about cryptocurrency so I can explain it well to my friends

Try some sharing your experiences about you using and gaining bitcoins, it is an effective way for them to easily understand what cryptocurrencies are.

Totally depends on the people, but in general its not such an easy topic to get around when you first hear about it. Best way to learn about it is reading by yourself I guess. If I talk with people that never heard of something like a cryptocurrency its really hard to explain, but with more tech savvy people, they can imagine easier how a blockchain works and how a currency like Bitcoin can be therefore created.

I completely agree.

I remember  ― Philip Dick's sentence  --  “The existence of a majority logically implies a corresponding minority.”

As people are getting aware about Bitcoin. Even still newbies are trying to understand Bitcoin in better way. It will take time to user to be familiar with bitcoins. Once user understand Bitcoin, every cryptocurrency have relatively same concept and system behind with different statistics. Rather I would like to prefer go for cryptocurrency first to demonstration how cryptocurrency exactly works, it will help far more to user to understand Bitcoin and subsequently cryptocurrencies.

The problem that we usually face when trying to explain other people about bitcoin is that we usually express ourselves in purely technical terms, and this language is not what ordinary people usually use in their everyday lives. I think we should end the monopoly of technicians in this aspect, and show that people without advanced technological preparation can also benefit from the use of bitcoin, as many people use credit cards or the same fiat money without being experts in banking and finance.

Why you explaining bitcoin to non understandable person who is looking to make money means that is wasted thing. There are plenty of videos in Youtube to explain the bitcoin to all set of people but all of them are contains best answer of the newbie so check by your own and then send them to check about it. Some do understand because they already have an idea of cryptocurrency because of the current price of Bitcoin they get curious, Someone told me that they are just afraid to try or test using cryptocurrency but when i showed them proof of my achievements or earnings in Bitcoin they are fascinated and willing to try using crypto, of course i told them to focus in Bitcoin first before they venture alt coins.

Some people' yes, and some are not. Ill explain only for those willing and believing its possible to earn in bitcoin, and for those who aren't Its just wasting your time.cause many people stands on saying "to see is to believe"

I find the same problem, many people are closed minded to the idea and will not believe it unless they experience it for themselves. Many of them do not understand how something that is not tangible can have any worth. Then I ask them what about paying for credit card transactions abroad or such and they say 'oh no that's different because the bank are moving my dollars'

Yes, but it is not easy to explain. The hardest part is, to make them believe that cryptocurrency is not fraud. It is a lot easier if you explained it to those people that are interested because they believe in you unlike to those who don't, its like explaining to a wall if they are not interested.
It is so much easier to explain cryptocurrency especially bitcoin today, compare to the past because crypto is getting so much attention.
Just explain it to them very clearly show them your earnings to make them believe.

Yes, it takes time and to be honest, they don't understand in the first attempt. In most of the cases, they have some misconception in their mind about Bitcoin and crypto industry. In few cases, they think that it is a kind of MLM scheme or Ponzi scheme and I am trying to explain this to them just for my benefit. However, I don't keep any secrets while explaining cryptocurrency to them including volatility, forks and unknown future possibilities.

Depends on who I'm talking to. If, lets say,  a friend asks me about it it most of the time they will not understand it even if some are knowledgable in gadgets and techs, it's hard to take in at first. If perhaps I'm talking to an old person, theres a high chance that they might not get it maybe because of the generation gap.

It's really hard to understand especially if you don't put some effort  to discover what crypto currency is. For me it is not necessarily to be spoon feed to someone else who really knows what is crypto, as a matter of fact if you're really interested to learned about crypto
then you could do it to yourself without depending to some other people. Indeed Diligence and be open minded are the key to get to know some other thing that you don't experience and yet to know in your life.

I end up answering so many questions up to the point that im so tired of answering those questions. Until now it is hard to explain what cryptocurrency generally is. As there are so many ways on how you will introduce it from explaining it is a way to make money or it is money itself, after that you need to choose what kind of path you want them to learn. With a lot to cover I often make my audience disinterested with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. The only way for them to learn is to be interested and to learn in their own way as with these method they won't rely on me that much and the can learn independently.

In the end, you will know the benefit of bitcoin and another cryptocurrency. :)

Totally depends on the people, but in general its not such an easy topic to get around when you first hear about it. Best way to learn about it is reading by yourself I guess. If I talk with people that never heard of something like a cryptocurrency its really hard to explain, but with more tech savvy people, they can imagine easier how a blockchain works and how a currency like Bitcoin can be therefore created.
yes , when explain the cryptocuurencies with people they understand them very well. they take interest in my talk and then they start question how to work and how to join the crypto and they want to know about how to generate income form the crypto currencies. when they understand about the crypto currencies they join the crypto and start working with.

It hasn't been that easy; like speaking in jargons really. I remembered I did try explaining to someone yesterday and the person was like I should just get started with the process because it really looked abstract. I tried relating it to the stock market and forex. I strongly believe that a person's drive matters and also when they start seeing the results in the physical, they can start getting the motivation to start. And do note that it is never too late to start; start from somewhere.

I explain them short and easy what bitcoin is so they can at least make an idea about it. It is hard to explain all the process that bitcoin does and they cant understand it if they dont know all the informations. So explain them only the important part of bitcoin , what it is and how it works.
One of my friends also asked me about it because she was intruiged about it. So i have told her, what are those processes that should be done and give them informations about it to easily use it. On the other hand people without a technical background will not understand. For me, I tried explaining this by comparing cryptocurrency to fiat, I just clarify them what are the differences and similarities of two. Doing this can make them easily understand what is the real bitcoin is.

I tried this to my friends, and they don't know about the cryptocurrency. So i tried to expain to them at small details on what is cryptocurrency and at first glance they are little bit confused. Because of the term cryptocurrency they did not know about it. So its pretty much a huge effort to give in order them to understand it.
When i tried to explain them about what bitcoin is, first I said it is a cryptocurrency then they did not understand anything, later on I explained about digital currency how it works , exactly the same way bitcoin works and also gave them example about online gold purchase then they realized about the bitcoin.
It is really confusing for them at first but when we try to explain it to them by giving examples they will get the idea especially if they have a basic knowledge about technology. But sometimes not all of them understands and they are lazy to search about it in the internet, in order for them to learn they need to make research about it themselves or watch videos in youtube.

At the first time you explained it to them, they will never understand it. Why? Because their hearts and minds think it is a fraud or scam. People tend to become aware of the environment presently at our generation because many people tend to cheat people, making bad things, that sort of started all of it. But when they see the reality of bitcoin and the cryptocurrency itself, they will believe. Yet it should not stop there. Everyone must research. See for themselves what are these cryptocurrencies? How are they made? Why did they have value? These are questions should be possessed by a cryptocurrency investor.

Somehow. Well, it depends upon the people who can catch up quickly. Normally, people does not get what I am trying to explain about cryptocurrency it always end up like I am telling a fantasy stories or some story that needs a critical thinkng but if I give a real life example like showing my mobile phone and start explaining they somehow understand. In addition to my answer earlier, there are some people who can get it quickly even without showing some example. According to my observation most of them are technology literate so, they do make sense on what I am trying to show to them.

What exactly cryptocurrency has to do with having a job? You don't need to to be employed online to earn bitcoin, you can pretty much buy BTC with fiat.
The best argument when trying to convince someone about future of cryptocurrency is the growth ratio we experienced so far. Don't forget about that.
I find more difficult to explain to people fact that they are living in a world based on a debt - and to pay up this debt they are spending the money they don't own.

When i try to explain it to my workmate or colleagues they do understand and they are eager and excited to try or use Bitcoin like what i am doing but the only problem is that the price of Bitcoin right now are not affordable especially if you are living in a third world country like us. Gladly i was able to use Bitcoin in its early phase while it is cheap but right now my friends are annoyed because though they can see the potential profit they can get they cant start because they can't afford the price.

Not every person understand what I say but it looks like most of them listen to me carefully. I always try to show the benefits of Bitcoin. I was quite surprised that not every person knows that paper money has not value at all! Some of them thought that government has enough gold to cover the value of each bill.

Well first we need to separate cryptocurrency from the following terms, scam, money scheme, pyramiding, and networking. People need to close their ears and eyes from media's interpretation of cryptocurrency which is often depicted like those four terms. It is a money that is digital in nature and can be used for online transactions or asset for investments.

It's natural that you don't understand at first a new topic. So most of the people who ask me about it, they do not understand it fully. That is why they have to do research on their own. Self-study would help them to understand the concepts. Cryptocurrencies is not easy to understand actually.

At first it is really hard to make them understand, unless they are really willing to listen, i had encountered people who keep on asking about bitcoin, but never do their research, rather they want me to spoon feed it to them, and every time that i do, they keep on asking the same questions, is it as good as investment, when will they get their money, how much should they invest, and every time the market goes down they tell me, its a good thing they didn't invest since it is dropping and whenever the market goes up, they tell me, why didn't forced them to invest when the market is down, the situation may be funny for us, but for them, i see its a lost. It is also easy to explain cryptocurrency to people who are alredy investing, since that's what we all want a market with high returns.

Yes that is the key point, when you try to explain to others you will learn more and understand how it works. Even one of the most respectful person when it comes to bitcoin and other cryptocurrency Andreas Antonopoulos says he started to write his first famous book Mastering Bitcoin to learn more about technology itself. You approach is defiantly good.

Maybe start by explaining to them first to realize that even today's fiat is in electric form in terms of credit cards and anyway both BTC and FIAT have flaw if electricity/internet shuts itself down since neither of them would survive. But it can be difficult for ordinary person to understand the risks with their private keys and how to be safe because they are their own bank without middleman doing thing for you, I had a bit troubles to explain this to others as well.

For some people is difficult to explain. While for others it is easier. It's easier to explain to people who are curious and who always do internet surveys in order to check what you said to them, and then come back to you with positive or negative ideas. Difficult is  when you explain to someone and this person simply thinks that you are crazy because for this people, I believe that money can be created. In fact, what I could notice, that these people who do not believe, are mostly very conservative and very proud.

Upon explaining Bitcoin cryptocurrency and alternate cryptocurrencies to people there may be instances that there are different approaches that may come since it was just new to their nature. At first, it makes them a hard time to fully understand Bitcoin cryptocurrency and other types of currency which is just a normal approach because it ia not typically easy to understand yet not too complicated to learn. It just takes time for them to be able to fully understand it and others are really in need to see proof before they can understand it.

When I'm explaining people about cryptocurrency some of them don't understand especially to those who's slow learner and have no interest in bitcoin but some can easily get what I mean about crypocurrency. But if I will continue to explain about that maybe all people will understand about the cryptocurrency.
When I have knowledge about bitcoin I explain to my friends about it, at first they don't understand how its works and how to do it, but later on after I explain to them again and teach them about bitcoin they will understand now. And now they also using bitcoin like me, sometimes when we see each other, we talked about cryptocurrency.

No. Even me at first, I didn't understand it right away. It's like I am talking to a person with different language. I do not understand it all. So when I am now the one teaching, they are also like me. So in order for you to understand fully, study by yourself. Do not just depend on what others says. Do your own research.

I think they do because when ever I tried to explain to them about crypto currency I would put up an example like Fiat,
I would tell them that the crypto currency is just like Fiat and if they ask me about the market I would just tell them the exact same thing,
I would say that it is like buying a dollar and waiting for it's price to go up then sell it when it rise up.

From the feedback I get hen I try to explain to people about BTC, I think a lot of people are just bent on not taking it in. Even though I show to them my history since iv been on BTC, they still don't buy it. What I resolved is not to try too hard. You either take it or you leave. I have almost nothing to loose. BTC will grow, with or without them.

Surprisingly only a few individuals understand, those are the ones whom by
chance already have encountered some familiarity with the said terms. To
add it up, a lot are usually skeptical about the whole idea, either they were
misinformed or mistakenly misunderstood it the other way around. The best
approach i have is to resort in a simple and basic analogy and engage simple
conversations. I bring them down to a level where it's comprehensible enough
to grasp. But it's entirely up to them, if they develop an interest it's easier to
make them fathom cyrptocurrency matters.

We aren't talking only just about the bitcoins price here. Anyway people don't tend to move towards the things they don't understand, they will rather go and shoot for things that are familiar to them. Because if they look other things they see it as an obstacle because then some new knowledge need to be developed. They have like an invisible wall in front of then that is stopping them from entering, they don't need to invest as bitcoin is seen even as high risk investment but they should at least be aware of it's existence and understand some basic principles behind it.

I convinced only one person out of all the people i tried to introduce to cryptocurrency. Because they relied on media. Most medias give q negative impression to bitcoin. And people tend to believe in it. Instead of making a research. It's like they're being controlled by media which is very disappointing.

We are now living in an era where almost everything you want to know is found in the the internet, since bitcoin is done in the net, many people are not new about bitcoin and cryptocurrency. When i was ask about bitcoin from some of my friend, they already have basic knowledge about bitcoin, so all I have to do is elaborate a little on some unfamiliar terms on cryptocurrency. Advice them to keep on doing their studies on bitcoin.

Some friends are askin me about cryptocurrencies. I explain this to them by giving examples from fiat currencies. Creating similarity between fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies is a good technic to explain bitcoin and others to them.

Normally they don't, but if you're intro cryptocurrencies long enough you eventually know how to explain the basics in a language fully understandable by most people. Then some get curious, and others don't...

Either way, it's still something quite out of the ordinary for most people, so it's pretty hard to explain...
When it comes to absorbing information, it is quite normal for most of people to experience difficulties specially when they are new in the process of transaction and systems of bitcoin. But as have said it is normal, we just need to focus and give a lot of time on our education process for to gain enough knowledge that could help us on earning and investing in the right manner.

To understand people about bitcoin. Now it depends on you. How you explain it to them. It is better to tell them that i obtain more profit from bitcoin. They will don’t believe you because nowadays people are afraid from digital trading. Someone take their money. They fear to invest. So in order to far that fear. You need to explain them about bitcoin step by step.

Not show them only yourself that i am profitable from bitcoin. Show them the whole community stock exchange about bitcoin. They will then understand better.

It is funny to say that after all this time that I'm using cryptocurrencies, I still cannot even explain clearly to other people what bitcoin is. I have a forethought that "they won't get it, so what's the use?" I have tried to explain it to my mom and I don't know if she's getting my point, and after days when she said something about my "job" here, I realized I did not explain it well. Personally, I am bad at explaining things, so if I will intrduce bitcoin to other people; there is a big possibility it will not end well.

It is an arduous task to explain what the term crypto means to people who have no similarity to this subject. There are many technical issues that a lay person has difficulty understanding. However, the more people entering the crypto market, the more disclosure this will have and the easier it will be to understand this fascinating subject. Blockchain, wallets, private and public keys are still subjects restricted to few people around the world.

Good for you that they understand about it.  As for me I was having a hard time to explain to them how bitcoin gives an income.  They are always afraid to try and always saying that it is a scam.  It is maybe because bitcoin is not that popular here in our country. Normally they don't, but if you're intro cryptocurrencies long enough you eventually know how to explain the basics in a language fully understandable by most people. Then some get curious, and others don't...

Either way, it's still something quite out of the ordinary for most people, so it's pretty hard to explain...

In fact, they are not very understanding, sometimes even to stop you. Think of it as a scam and sometimes do not want to explain it. People who understand you will always understand.

There is some truth in the fact that some people are better listeners and also better interactive or maybe just interested in a variety of topics.

Sometimes you do not know about someone's areas of interest until either they ask or something in your environment sparks the conversation in a certain direction, and one thing leads to another, and the next thing you know, talking about crypto.

On a weekly basis, I have anywhere between 5-10 people that either I talk with about bitcoin or the topic comes up, and sometimes these are folks that are brand new to bitcoin or crypto and other times they have had some exposure to the topic.  Sometimes, I see them in a quasi public location in which I have three computers that are running in various spots, and each of the computers have bitcoin tickers running (my two favorite to keep up on the screen in order that I can see it from a variety of angles is bitcoinity.org and bitcoinwisdom.com).

So sometimes folks will see the bitcoin ticker and they will ask about what it is or guess what it is, for example suggest that it is the stock market or something like that.  So, if the topic goes down the bitcoin road, then I am more than willing to discuss, and if they start to talk about various other cryptos, then I am not too interested in discussing other cryptos, so there is a bit of a two way street about whether people know anything, and how much either they or I am interested in the topic.  If they get me talking about bitcoin, then that is when we get into potential information overload territory in terms of my willingness to share (in the event that they are interested in the topic).  If I sense that peeps are not interested in the topic, it is easy enough to change topics, and in other words, I do not push it.

So the punch line is that ease of explaining does have some connection to the level of interest of the audience, which may be different time 1 or time 2 or time 3, etc.

Most of my friends know only Bitcoin. So, I always start with this phrase " Do you know that Bitcoin is just one of the thousands crypto today? Then my discussion starts..
They just get the idea but they must e the one to do their research and study it.

its nice to see that there are people who are willing to spread the word bitcoin and cryptocurrency in our youth thats why i salute you sir and to others that keeps on doing it because these is another way to help cryptos especially bitcoin to become more popular in any parts of the world therfor this could lead to more price increase as more and more people were going thru it because they see bitcoin is merely a profitable way in the form of investment and trading. in my case i also educate my neighbors , co workers , house mates  , etc so that they can also experience what i experience in cryptos.

They just get the idea but they must e the one to do their research and study it.

So if you and i were having a conversation in real life, I would be mostly interested in talking about bitcoin.. however, if you want to compare and contrast and talk about a bunch of other cryptos, then you would lose me, because I am personally not very interested in various other cryptos.

Accordingly, if we are on the same page and we are mutually interesting to each other, then we can have a conversation, but if our interests diverge in such a way that is not interesting to one of the parties, then we may not have much to talk about.

Furthermore, there may be some folks are interested in a wide variety of cryptos and open to such discussion, and there may be some other folks who are only interested in certain cryptos - and they don't want to necessarily explore compare and contrasting of the cryptos.

Sometimes, I have also found that topics can become combative, too, and maybe it can be good to avoid combativeness, especially in real life.   Sometimes, someone will bring up some other crypto, and I might either say, I am not interested in that crypto or I might give my conclusion about what I think of that crypto from what i have heard about it, such as calling it a pump and dump.  Sometimes, there can be some hostility because I might not appreciate if the person attempts to preach to me or to sell me on some coin or presume that I don't know enough about the coin in order to come to whatever assessment that I have made.  So, there can be a fine degree of distinction between going down the road of polite conversation and preachiness, and most people do not like to be preached to (at least I don't because it puts me on the offensive, sometimes when someone tries to preach to me about any topic whether crypto or religion or anything else).

They do. When I explaib bitcoins in every detail possible, they understand what bitcoins are and what other cryptocurrencies are currently circulating in the internet. But I never push them to invest in bitcoins not to mention to start trading. I guess it's their own initiative to try and start trading. At least when they do do it on their own and fail, they can't blame me.

When I introduced bitcoin to one of my friend at first he don't understand it so we have to meet again and continue to discuss more about cryptocurrency. Its hard to tell people about bitcoin because they heard the negative news first but we must tell them that those news are really wrong. I encourage my friends to try to invest on bitcoin because they can't appreciate this thing if they don't try this for at least small amount.

This is not something to wonder about. Trying to explain something that is quite technical and complicated to someone who has not a glimpse or the slightest bit of idea of what you are talking about would be too much to absorb. Hence, all the information are undigested. It will take more than a single discussion about crypto for this person to get even a slight grasp of the system (generally...). Expectedly, he wouldn’t comprehend about 85% of what you have explained. Best thing to do is just give these people some basic info regarding crypto and leave it there. If he wants to know more then elaborate a bit. But do not go to the extent where you try explaining everything to a wall or tree, if you know what I mean.

Personally, I have been sharing about cryptocurrencies over the past year to the mainstream, relatives, and close friends. There is a lot of question that comes up, I feel the curiosity is strong. The problem is the cryptocurrency is a rare thing, speculative assets. A new revolutionary economic system. And The problem comes up, many people didn't believe the untested and young economic system, and not all the people have to understand the technologies, so I found a bit hard in term of technologies about how promising the technologies of BItcoin.

But if you were explaining to people who's against or not interested in crypto, no matter how hard you explain they won't mind you. Like when I tried to explain about crypto to my friend, she just nod and said okay, end of conversation.  Unlike to my brother even it took us a lot of time I know he understand me because his interested.

I think it depends on age. Not 100% but I find younger generations understand the concept a little better than those who have been raised in a very different era with different values. The concept of money and tokenised value has been around since we started using paper money. Most people don't really understand what money is. As well as being tokenised value andreas antonopolus reduces it further and calls in tokenised trust transfer. Idont think anybody understands this to be honest. The younger generation don't look at technology and the digitised world as being foreign in the same way my grandmother does which I think makes it allot easier to conceptualise cryptocurrency and its value and benefits

But as long as they only know the shell of the crypto, it would be fine for me. But if they want to know deeper and show us some interest in this world, that is where we tell them how the system work and in what way they can get it.

It is very difficult to understand any people about anything which is totally unknown to them. Though this system is very use to understand but honestly it gives us so much pain to understand people about it. Most of the people just can not believe because they will not able to use it physically but if we show the legal information practically then they shows their positive emotion on it. We can not understand to the illiterate people about this system but literate people really want to join with this system after knowing properly about cryptocurrency. You have to show all the legal information with proof to understand perfectly to the people.

The thing is you should keep on telling others regarding this concept of bitcoin and crypto currencies as this will not only help in their favor but will also result in increase in the demand of the crypto currencies in the international market.
At the expense if cryto's existence, still a lot of people don't understand on how this technology works. They lack knowledge about it and find it as a scam. What I do in my part is that I explain to them it benefits and how it affects the market positively.

Some friends are askin me about cryptocurrencies. I explain this to them by giving examples from fiat currencies. Creating similarity between fiat currencies and cryptocurrencies is a good technic to explain bitcoin and others to them.

None of my friends asked me about cryptocurrency, and I never tried to explain to them either. Never again.
They tend to be  close minded about it. Maybe they heard something negative about it prior to me explaining.
On the other hand, a few of my colleagues asked me once about it, then I started explaining, and  to my surprise they were pretty sesceptible about it. They appreciated cryptos.
It was not so hard to explain when they are ready to listen

It is very difficult to explain to people who do not know crypto, because for the layman this method is very difficult. But we need time to explain to people who have never tried it, by slowly teaching it, he will understand for a long time.

When I tried to explain the cryptocurrency to my parents, they were not interested in the encryption. When I explained to my friends about cryptocurrency, they didn't believe in cryptocurrency, they thought it was a hoax. I tried to persuade them to invest in bitcoin, but they didn't listen to me.

At first they don't. Personally, it took me a while to get into Bitcoin. I thought it was a scam online so I never really tried to learn what this is. Only when a friend of mine introduced it to me as a form of passive income that I just have to hold onto did I get interested. People will have different styles of introducing Bitcoin and people will also have different intakes on the explanation. If you can't explain it in a way of how you want to portrait it then it will be difficult. Find a common ground and start from there.

They totally not understand at first, it takes time to explain and it takes hard for them to convince specially now that networking scam is trend and they might think crypto or bitcoin is one of it. Explanation is not enough, you need yourself to be proven and tested bitcoin for them to believe.

that is common, don't expect that they will understand it right away. for me before i introduced bitcion to my sister i ask her to make a research about bitcoin, so that by the time that i will teach all my knowledge, at least she have and idea of what im talking about, don't just talk about bitcoin, show them some of your sample work and show it how you did that task, and im sure little by little they would enjoyed it just like me. then show them also some of your proof of payment so that they will believe that you are really earning money in this kind of technology. as of now my sister is now  enjoying this forum so i think she understand and my strategy is effective.

Generally speaking, they understand.
But I believe they don't need to.
People use the internet nowadays,
they don't understand HTLM, CSS, PHP, JAVA, etc and it doesn't matter.
They can use crypto without having to understand the tech behind it.

It will depends on how we explain/teach them about cryptocurreny. For example if you're lazy to explain them, they will not understand and they don't trust/believe you, but if you explain them very well and step by step like on how we start here so that they'll understand and will amaze in crypto world. Then they can start here with knowledge about cryptocurrency so that they can avoid from spamming or ban.

This depends on the person's interest in the subject, rather than on their academic preparation or their supposed intellectual capacity. I have known people who are apparently very intelligent but with enough prejudices against bitcoin to try to understand objectively the importance of cryptocurrencies, but I have found a very positive response in people who, without having too much knowledge in technology or finance, show a great opening to learn new and interesting things.

Relies upon who I'm conversing with. Lets say, a companion gets some information about it more often than not they won't comprehend it regardless of whether some are knowledgable in contraptions and specialists, it's difficult to take in at first. On the off chance that maybe I'm conversing with an old individual, theres a high possibility that they won't not get it perhaps due to the age hole.

Whenever I try to make someone understand cryptocurrency, sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. I think it all depends on how open minded the person is and of course their background in today's progressive technology. But as I seen it, the person more understand me if they are around my age which probably means that they are more comfortable and open to someone from their generation.

Some of them understand and some of them don't. I can say that because when You think its too much for You too understand, then You will not and You will lose interest, hence, you remove your chance to understand the crypto. They surrender too quickly and didn't provide themselves a room for actual learning to understand cryptos. . Some of them are like that. But there are the others that tried to explore about it and invest some time and risked something just to understand how it goes. Still, this is not about how you explain, your little idea is enough and it is on them whether they explore it or not.

Most of the people who don't understand Bitcoin are the luddites who don't even know how the internet or a computer works. It's like trying to explain quantum physics to a baboon, of course they're not going to understand. Most of the people who are included towards computers and programming have already heard and understand about cryptocurrency, it will take some improvements to the ease-of-use and marketing of crypto to open it up to a wider audience.

Teaching is tough for me. Well, it is really hard to teach anyone. Can the person understand? This will depend on the person’s intelligence. If the person can understand the credit card then it can be easy to make him understand. But to sense him properly “what is crypto currency?” then it’s possible if the person study better on this.

To be honest no. When I try to explain it to others they don't fully understand it. They have a hard time analyzing the concept of cryptocurrencies. Some people especially the old folks seems to get a slow uptake to cryptocurrency, they don't understand at first maybe because of their technological incompetence. The younger generations seems fast to take in cryptocurrency because they tend to know it because of social media and done some researching for themselves. It's a matter of time for someone to understand cryptocurrency depending to what they have been exposed to.

It depends on the people you talk to, if they are open minded, into technology-internet, age and profession, sometimes those who are old and into profession they hardly understand no matter how hard you explain they just can't accept that this is now the norms...others are skeptic about it and still others are too young but can somehow learn in just a matter of time.
