Humans may have totally over taken the planet earth but that doesn't means that we are the owners of this planet. Being the most intelligent species comes with responsibilities. We have urbanized this planet. n other words we have destroyed the home of many species. Biodiversity is way more important for our survival than we realize.  We should let other live if not for them but ourselves.

We may not be the owners, but we certainly have become the "Sheppards" of the planet. I agree, we do have a responsibility to not utter and totally destroy it.

Try telling this to most of the people living on this planet. They will look at you like you are the crazy one and that this world is theirs for the taking. Sometimes the level of entitlement among us humans is down right

Humans should be more wise in how they treat the planet and all the species inhabiting it. We have indeed destroyed the home of many species, but these destructive tendencies are in our nature. Earth, how much as we mistreat it will do fine and humans can't last forever on this sphere.

I think in the future we will learn and focus more on how to live in harmony, we have been in a survival mode for very long and we are slowly moving away from a survival mode into a more harmonious way of living. Accumulation, money, idea-ology's; they aren't satisfying.

there are already many world organizations that deal with this ecosystem problem but still can not handle this problem well.

I love your point about the loss of biodiversity. we must learn to live harmoniously with other organisms. We don't know when they will become important or be of help to our existence.

its is absolutely right nothing is our everything created and owned by some powerful creator we just here for few days but sometime we forget that for few fame and profit we divided for more benefits. we should think every one and everything only for betterment of planet instead of destroying... before leaving from this planet we should left something for new generation ... 

I don't agree with the point that humans are going towards more harmonious ways of living. Though we have realized that we have not been on right path but it doesn't seem like we are willing to change our course. Humans are so lethal that they will make earth perish along with them. Violence is increasing day by day. There doesn't seems to be a way to put an end to it. Power and money has totally blinded our eyes as well as mind.

Humanity is acting like a virus on the planet, consuming all the resources and killing off certain areas. The host will eventually run out of the ability to heal itself and the balance could be tipped quite quickly. If the atmosphere is eroded, eventually it will disappear and the sun will end up frying the planet. The population is simply growing too much, a war or natural disaster will cause our downfall.

We must watch and protect this planet. Yes this is not ours planet earth are made by God and we not the owner. But now see our planet many people abuse it.

yes, human where the stewardess of this earth, but more of us don't know the importance of this planet. All they want is to built and built, destroy all the sources for the human consumption but they didn't replace what they got from the environment. Humans already jeopardize the planet, what will happen to the next generation. there is nothing that humans can do, that earth cannot withstand. Earth has been already destroyed a couple of times (meteors/iceage etc.) and it always came on online. We're just a small parenthesis in the big history of earth and will diminish eventually. Maybe Elon Musk is right, maybe we do need to find a second home and become an interplanetary species

We can say that the most appropriate term we can use for what we are on this Earth is caretakers. The earth belong to noone, but the creator of it. If you have not made something it is not yours unless someone that had made it had sold it to you.

And it was like so until the laws of conquerers mainly the Saxon laws in england that invented the land ownership. There was no land ownership back then in the middle ages. There were people belonging to the protector by the law of the conqouror.

we are just travelers in this infinite loop that we call the universe. We are just passing by.. and will dissapear just as fast as we came to be. In relative terms, we are on the planet for just a couple of seconds (considering how long the history of earth/universe has been) and it only makes sense that we won't last forever. What if the government authorities ask you to vacate your land, with or without adequate compensation? My family lost almost 600 acres of land six decades ago, when the local communist government implemented the land reforms act. They took land from the big land-holders and distributed it to the landless peasants. And we received no compensation for the land we lost. What can we do? If we go to the court, the legal battle will wage on for many decades and the chances are that we will never win it.

Then I kill those who come on my land, until they kill me.  :/

That is a really sad story... People think who have vast lands conquered it only by abusing others, but it may not be true. Many people conquered their wealthy and became rich by working hard and being smart enough to save money and invest it on the right opportunities. And then, a communist (that have never built anything on his life) comes and take everything from this person. In this case there isn't "historical debt".

To prevent this to happen the communists disarm the population, so they nuke any resistance possibility, and once it's done and everyone gives in their weapons, you can't shoot who enters your lands against your will.  :(

I agree with you, because human as superior beings from other beings must be responsible for the survival of all  species on earth, and still maintain the preservation of ecosystems. Because ecosystem damage will threaten not only to biodiversity, it is also will be affect to humans. examples such as deforestation aside of destroying  homes of many species it will also reduce the production of oxygen, and oxygen is one of the human main life needs. To an extend you are right I believe we are the keepers of the planet and we have a responsibility to think about everyone.

Sooner or later we are gonna pay for disbalancing the stability of earth and its ecosystem. It would soon wipe us out completely

How can a real owner harm his own assests only? Ruin his own place of interest? This proves that we are not the owners

We are really not the owner of this earth. we just hired it from God who is the owner in real. Now we snatched it by force and claim it to be ours

God is the owner of this planet. We are just his servant who looks over his creations and also to spread his love and his words to the others.

As a higher being of this planet, we should be taking care of it and norturing it even though we are not the owner of it. We have been living on Earth for a long time, and we have been consuming all the things that Earth has to offer. It is just right to atleast take care of it.

Have to agree with you. Humans need to realize that they are just one of the species inhabiting this planet. We should care about the other species as well, and give them enough space to live. But unfortunately, as the human population increases, they are transgressing in to the habitat of the other species.

as a human caring attitude of the planet is important to everyone we know,,because god settled and command to keeps us and caring the beauty of the planet because nature is constantly changing even before down of humanity,the planet is accomodate to need though causes interaction with surrounding,but the conclusion is a simple to care of the planet the wellingness of humanity  easy to step and contribute

Yeah it is true , we are not the owners of this planet, although we people are one of most intelligent among the species, we don't have the rights to dominate the rights of other species, still i'm thinking why do we people need to destroy our nature without thinking to other species , we are not alone to this planet , we need to consider all the living things that are also here , we are the most intelligent species but we are turning ourselves to be the worst species , we people are in the highest among the species , so we must consider them , we must care about them , we must love them, because we are just like them. We are not the owner because we are just one of the occupants who are trusted to be a leader of all species.

I think we are one of the few species on the planet that actually destroys an ecosystem intentionally to thrive we label our selves the most intelligent species on yhe planet yet we eat tide pods and emulate popstars because they're popular. We have lost sight on what really matters and that is to improve ourselves. We rely mainly on technology and even became stagnant physically. We become weak and our senses dull. We even poison ourselves for fun.

This is nothing but a truisms. This is so because we can not live the planet earth forever no matter whom we are. But thus crystal truth seems evasive amongst mankind especially in the current generation of "take it all" we seems to have forgotten that  humans is always at mobile phase of life.
However, the earlier we grasped the understanding the better the planet becomes. Its all about preserving the planet for the next generation. Or if I may put it simply it's the management of the earth and I think its transcends all Creed and race.

thats right we humans dont deserve this earth. We redesigned earth as per our needs having no mercy upon other creature's safety

I agree with you. Humans have caused a lot of damage to this planet and they have disregarded the right of the other species to live on it. We need to realize that we can't abuse our planet forever. One day, the threshold will be reached and the human race will be wiped out in some catastrophe.

Yes, humans do not fully control the planet. Whatever man gives to nature, nature will reply to the same.
Nature also reigns, when nature brings about a great catastrophe in which even intelligent humans can not obstruct the disaster. Just run away in fear and ask for help from others.
