Pie coin has undergoing something similar to a hard fork. We have created a new blockchain and we have moved to the new chain. All of the old coins are being burned and new coins have been created on the new chain. This was a manual swap of 1 to 1 coins and the new Piex coins allow for the creation of Masternodes and for a new function called “Social Send”. Social Send is the ability to send cryptocurrency over various social media platforms such as facebook and twitter even if the person receiving the cryptocurrency has never used cryptocurrency before. Masternodes can be enabled immediately after the move to the new blockchain. Social Send is currently being tested. Piex coin is a Dash clone based off of Pivx code and has PoS x11 Quark algorithm. I knew this coin would take off. I love the Social Send feature. That is going to be huge and I have been wanting to do a masternode so this coin is perfect! I love Piex and the team seems really nice every time I stop in the discord they help me even though I am new to all of this.

Please clarify that further. PieX is a new coin and there is POW followed by POS. So, what about the swap? And how a huge (83%) premine is justified?

why do people reserve posts?

Some background information on Piex.
Pie coin has reached a new and exciting evolution in its path to becoming one of the premier coins to be used in Social Media Platforms. Pie coin has a humble beginning starting in November of 2016 with an ambitious plan of becoming the go to cryptocurrency for sending and receiving digital money on any social media platform. However, like a lot of different blockchain startups the coin couldn’t quite reach the heights it was aiming for and the project was set aside.
 
This was not the end of the journey for Pie coin. In May of 2017 a dedicated new team picked up where the previous team had left off and were determined to bring the full potential of Pie coin to the market. The current team, which is comprised entirely of volunteers have ambitious plans for Pie coin. This includes the previous plans of launching Social Send and enabling Masternodes along with many other features that will come as more and more people adopt Pie coin.
 
On September 29th, 2017 Pie coin began the transition to the new blockchain and the new name Piex Coin was born.  In addition to the ability to have masternodes, Social Send is currently being tested in the alpha stage. Social Send will allow anyone who holds Piex coin the ability to send Piex coin (cryptocurrency) to anyone on a variety of social media platforms even if they know nothing about and have not heard of cryptocurrency. This can greatly increase the mass adoption of cryptocurrency to everyone on social media platforms such as facebook and twitter.

By the 4 month mark (172000 Blocks) we will have completed our current projects and started on our Secondary Rewards Chain.
The secondary chain will work similar to NEO/GAS where you hold one, and get rewards from the other.

After we start that we will do a community vote for adjusting our rewards output to last us until the Secondary Rewards Chain is completed.
As we do currently have a Locked Cap (Can't exceed 94.5 Million coins.) we have to work within those boundaries for adjusting our rewards factor.

So the more simple answer will be: "The community will vote on it during the first quarter 2018."

POW was only 1000 blocks, I smell a rat  ???

We required only enough hash power on the chain to get enough masternodes online to take over the necessary computing power to run the chain.
We had over 300 masternodes online in the first week, and the hash power of POW was no longer needed.

This is quite common in Masternode coins. Ours just had 10mil worth of coins waiting for masternodes before the new chain even launched.

simply, you can now take the masternode for 4 months, but what will be unknown then?

this has been an amazing experience, the piex team swapped me in minutes. And the old coins were sent to a burn address. If you have enough for a masternode there are guides in the discord for every operating system! Now I have a masternode!, the blockchain runs smooth, and the new social send feature is right around the corner. Keep setting the example! go PieX go!

if no change is needed, the Rewards factor will remain in the same range for as long as the chain supports it.
The plan is to get the rewards chain up before we hit our cap.

Staking rewards have been very good so far. I'm not running masternodes yet but so far staking is giving me over .2 % per day.

We have a good idea, an excellent team, which has already implemented the masternode and an alpha version of social sending. We must be on the moon soon

Piex is working on being added to additional exchanges. Our new coin should be listed on coinmarketcap soon and when it does we are applying to a lot of new exchanges. We have been contacting the exchanges that are still listing our old Pie coin and asking them to delist it but these exchanges are really slow to respond to support tickets. Soon our older coin Pie will disappear and Piex will start popping up at more exchanges. We are not even done with our swap yet so it takes a little time, but it won't be much longer before all of this gets sorted out and Piex starts flying high!

This coin is so undervalued it crazy.  PIE was over 900 sats at one point on Cryptopia PRE-Masternodes.

The community and team are fantastic.  I have had no issues at all with setting up nodes.  The team is professional and the Discord is very organized.  Much more so than many other coins with higher marketcaps.  I'm scooping up many more PIEX in the coming days.

Relisting on Yobit, Cryptopia and other exchanges would help very much.

I am seriously considering buying enough for like 20 nodes at this price.  I'm running 5 already  ;D

That has not been my experience at all.  Feel free to keep bumping the ANN though. Fudding a project at this stage doesnt really make a ton of sense.  Price is already crazy low on c-cex.

Masternodes right now are getting on average 4-6x 12 PieX rewards per day.

The Teeter Totter Rewards system is actually offering the higher end of the 60 PieX reward to Wallet stakers right now.
(To try to get more wallets staking for maximum efficiency.)
So even wallet staking is pretty profitable at the moment.

It does fluctuate between 3-4 rewards of 12 PIEX coins daily (probably depending on time the MN was enabled)

At this time, I'm really just stacking rewards and stakes.  Swap is ending here soon.  And then marketing, social send, etc will help create demand, driving up price.  This is one of those "diamind in the rough" coins.  It's becoming increasingly harder to find winners, especially with the btc rally dwarfing most other coins.  But PIEX is a winner imo

Masternodes are still very, very cheap.  And 25k is a good number.  The chain has no issues.  The MN's never go missing.  I never have to start them again.  Go through some of the other ANN's here for MN coins, and you will see page after page of people having problems with nodes going down, or being disabled, or infrequent payouts.

Swapped my pie to piex, very painless process,  took about 10 minutes total.

You send your pie coins to a burn wallet and then a mod sends you the same amount of piex to your new piex wallet.

Nice comment.  And I agree.  The process is very simple, quick, and professionally handled.  The organization of this team does not strike me as a run-of-the-mill shit coin, but of a team dedicated to PIEX and eager to take it places.  And for the record, I've researched a ton of shit coins.  PIEX has all the makings of a successful one.  Strong communities and active teams can carry a coin into greatness.

Mods are doing a great job in swapping coins. It's a very fast process. This coin is very undervalued as of now once the social sending will come out it will likely go beyond  $.1 mark. :)

You need to unlock your wallet. You can check on the bottom right to see if it's ok.
With 4700 staked, in two days ~96 piece earned!!
Almost 1%/day!! Chance ? Maybe! This is great and much more than sigt for example ( 5%/year)

If there are too many Masternodes online, it will offset the rewards to Wallet Stakers in order to try to get more Wallets on the system.
And vice versa, if there are too many coins in wallet stakers, the system will give more rewards to masternodes to try to get more masternodes online.

Why does it do this?
Because the system uses Wallet staking for maximum confirmation speed.
And it uses masternodes for instant send, coin mixing, and multisend.
In order to keep the system at the highest efficiency/speed possible, it needs enough of both wallet staking and masternodes online to win blocks.


How are Rewards Divided?:
If Wallet staking has dominance over the network:
50/10 (50 Piex to Masternodes that win block, 10 Piex to Wallet Stakers that win block.)

If Masternode Staking has Dominance over network:

I've been really impressed with the wallet for the week or two I've been using it. The PIEX dev team has their act together. When I withdraw from c-cex, it's showing up in my wallet before the "confirm withdrawl" page loads in chrome.

With thousands of wallets competing to solve the math problem to win the block at the same time.
It isn't uncommon for two wallets to win the same block at the exact same time. In these cases the winner is chosen at random.
when this happens it will typically show up as an orphan block for the wallets that lost.

However, the winners coins that won the block are made immature and sent to the back of the line and cannot compete for the next blocks until they mature again.
Whereas the wallets that didn't win get to stay up at the front of the line to compete for the next block.

If the wallet is no longer staking after losing your internet connection. I'd say maybe try restarting the wallet/pc and see if staking enables again.

I have about 100K in my wallet and normally it stakes new coins every 1-3 Hours.
But now i have run it yesterday for 5-10 hours and today for about 8 hours and nothing happen!

After the swap is over, what is the plan?  Contacting masternodes hosting sites?  Moving to more exchanges?  I know you guys have some things in the works.

HA!  Great list of what I believe are great reasons to get involved in PIEX.

Community is so important in these types of coins, and PIEX has one of the best I have seen.  Price is super low, and most likely suppressed, as c-cex is the only exchange where you buy or sell PIEX, and people who just want to dump their PIE will swap, and then head on over there and sell for btc.   

All in all, still a very good entry point imo.

Piex cannot be mined, only staking. If you are looking to mine some other coin there are many mining pool's.
I mine at minergate and ispace mining pool's.

This coin has come a long way after going thru a lot of bumpy rides. One of the things I like about this coin is that it has some clear vision and a strong community support. I think as long as there is strong support from the community and active development from the dev, nothing can stop the coin from being successful. hi guys i have a few questions i hope i can get answered. i dowloaded the piex wallet and added the nodes to the .conf file. i have 16  active connections and the wallet is still syncing for the last 24 hours. should it take this long?  how much longger could it take? im currently on block 25344. and finally will my active connections increase over time or will i have to manually write new nodes to the .conf file again.? i just need to know if i might be doing something wrong? such a promising project i really want to be a part of it.

 

I have 17 active connections and am on block 48001. You might have a slow internet connection that is making it take longer?

You could also restart the wallet and see if that helps.

Again, the 78 million were premined to perform the coin swap from the old PIE coin. People sent in the old PIE coins (on a burn adress) and received new PIEX coin (1:1 ratio), there is nothing to think about.

Before I'd like to explain, I suggest everybody remove their buy orders from C-Cex.

We've encountered some problems with the swap.
We produced 78 million coins to swap what would roughly amount to 77.6mil coins. (With expected PIE staking rewards by October 29th.)

However after we swapped roughly 72 million coins it became evident that we were running out of coins long before we completed the swap.
To verify there was no foul play the entire team has spent the last 2 days auditing both the old PIE and new PieX block chains for every transaction in the last month.
Verifying and checking every transaction twice. And our books are within roughly $8 USD of coins. (Which is accounted by swapping fees and test sends.)

So if all of our books are within $8 USD across 72 million coins (1.5 million USD), how are we short 6 million PieX?
The only swaps we don't have on our books are the ones C-Cex claimed they did.

So we begin auditing all of C-Cex's wallets and every single transaction to and from both their PIE Exchange and PieX Exchange wallets.
During our investigation it became pretty evident that there was a lot to question here.

First off, C-Cex stated on October 3rd that they had 17.3 million coins in the balances on their exchange wallets.

Fortunately it doesn't matter if your wallets are corrupt, every transaction still remains on the block chain.
So we spent countless hours finding and verifying every C-Cex PIE wallet used in the last 2 months on the blockchain to verify their claim.

Every single C-Cex wallet had nearly no balance or a negative balance by Oct 1st.
According to C-Cex's messages to the PIE team their wallets became "corrupt and broken" on October 1st. and therefore people were unable to withdraw their coins.

On october 1st C-Cex also began messaging the PIE community stating this:

So according to them their wallets not only "Broke" but supposedly they were also "blocking transactions and withdraws to avoid price manipulations" on october 1st.
Conveniently every single PIE wallet C-Cex controls as shown above runs out of coins at the exact same time it "breaks" and they "block" withdraws.

Something certainly weird going on here.




So if they have 17 million coins to swap, where are the wallets that contained 17 million coins on the 1st.
We were unable to find any, or any combination of wallets that might equal up to their claimed 17.3m coins.




So we began investigating what they did with the 17.3 million coins that we sent them.

Unfortunately we've even started to swap people with our own personal coins as well as the donations.
We simply just don't have enough coins to complete the swap... But at the same time we don't want any of you to be harmed by this financially.

But as we were finishing up the last people being swapped it became very evident to us that the pending swap list was growing, and even giving you guys our own coins will never be able to afford all of it.
(This is what led to us investigating how the numbers were so far off.)


What solutions do we have?
Unfortunately since C-Cex appears to be holding 16 million coins we have limited options.

#1: We can try to strong arm C-Cex into giving us the coins back by forcing buy orders to 1sat so it has zero value for them to sell to.

#2: We can create a second chain, and swap again, leaving C-Cex and their scam coins behind... Basically taking away all value and market from them and refusing to swap them.

#3: we can work as a team in the community to come up with enough coins to swap the last few dozen people. And just hope C-Cex doesn't dump on us in the future.

Ok, so how much they want to raise in USD by current rates now?

I've just read above post and "WTF" is still on top of mind. Can't think of anything else..

Next time I suggest we really use a reputable exchange for a swap  :( I know that you guys are doing everything possible, but the whole swap cost everyone a lot of time and now the coin is getting screwed over...

Yep WTF this is a heartbreaker.

The crypto-currency business world is going to have lots of ups and downs as it moves out of the troublesome years of puberty and into adulthood.

Things like road-maps and whitepapers and juvenile website spelling mistakes aren't going to be the indicators of maturity. Maturity and wisdom are learned.

I learned this bit of wisdom from a successful drug dealer:  you can ALWAYS make a lot more money legally and ethically than you can make through illegal activities. The guy that taught me this (thanks alex) died of herion many years ago but it's a lesson that stuck with me.

c-cex stole coins equal to ~500,000 USD.  They could have made more than that in just trading fees over the next few years from the thousands of PIE holders.

I am in agreement with this option.  This could actually work out in favor of PIEX holders, as long as we can be patient.  BTC is going up.  Let the stakes and MN rewards stack up and when the time comes, we can move to a new chain.

Yes, a mistake was made in regards to trusting c-cex.  No team is perfect.  I'm glad we were told about this and then can move forward.  There was some talk about the PIE name not being taken seriously in the crypto-space.  Possibly changing the name to something like Social Send.  I'm in PIEX for the long haul anyways, and I wasnt planning to sell for quite awhile.  If the team can accomplish their goals, then we have a very valuable coin on our hands.  I suggest to be patient and let these guys hash out the details and then report back to the community here.

The only suggestion i have is to keep the conversation flowing on the ANN.  Having an active ANN is vitally important on this forum.  Do not underestimate the power of an active ANN thread.

a few suggestions, the 16mil stolen coins are "available" after the new swap so there are a few things the team can do with those here are my suggestions:

1. create a few dev masternodes to secure the network and fund the dev team for their hard work

2. a few "comunity" masternodes to fund comunity dev efforts, bounty campaigns or exchange listing costs

3. the rest could be distributed pro rata to stakers and mn hodlers who secured the network and never sold in this confusing times

Same procedure we just went through for PIEX. The only difference is that we are taking a snapshot of the chain tomorrow, November 5, 2017, and any coins moved after that point will not be swapped.

Masternodes and Staking Rewards
SocialSend is Proof of Stake coin. It is a Dash clone based off of Pivx code and has PoS x11 Quark algorithm. You can earn returns by keeping coins in your wallet (staking) or by holding a masternode. Masternodes are used to secure the network and speed up transactions. The average ROI% for staking is 35% and the average ROI% for Masternodes is 70%. The returns need to be verified and are not exact, but instead are the rewards that we anticipate SocialSend to pay.

To obtain a masternode 6,250 coins are needed. There is no set amount needed to earn staking rewards in the wallet but the more coins you hold the more likely you are to get rewards. To be ensured of getting rewards it is recommended to hold at least 3,000 coins.
Also of important note is that blocks are twice as fast at 30 seconds. This means rewards are sent to twice as many people in a day and there are faster confirmation times.

Not just a coin, but a platform
The unique technology that makes all this work is the platform and not our currency. Almost any cryptocurrency can be used on the platform. This means that this platform can be licensed to other currencies so that when someone goes to use the platform they could choose from a variety of cryptocurrencies. Cap
You may have noticed that to get a masternode you need to hold 6,250 coins. In our previous coin it was a requirement to hold 25,000 coins. The reason for the difference is because we are lowering the number of coins by a 4 to 1 ratio. We are also increasing the cap to make sure that we have enough coins to do the swap. We have to insure that we have enough coins to perform the swap without issues. As of now, we have no way of knowing how many coins will be needed for the swap but we are producing enough so that we can definitely complete the swap without issues. Any coins left over after the swap will be considered for the development fund or burned.

Most cryptocurrencies have raised millions of dollars and exchanges charge exorbitant fees for listings, so it is very hard to compete in that environment. So having a development fund is one of the major changes from our previous coin. There is simply no way we can reach the full potential of this coin without having a development fund. This will give us the resources to to become one of the major currencies in this market and have the opportunity to grow into the currency for all of social media.

Swap Procedure
We will be taking a snapshot of all wallets in 48 hours time. Please move all your coins to your wallets. Only coins in wallets at the time of the snapshot will be swapped. This will take place Sunday night at 10pm UTC. The swap is expected to begin 8 days later on Monday November 13, 2018. We hope to be able to finish the swap within a week. We will keep the community updated on the details as we proceed forward. The one thing that is locked right now is that the snapshot will be taken in 48 hours.

Exchanges
In regards to exchanges, we have set aside money and have a plan on how to get listed in the prominent exchanges. The plan is to get listed in some of the newer exchanges like Kucoin, Coss and possibly Cobinhood. We are also planning paying for listing in Yobit at the same time. We also have some smaller exchanges like TradeSatoshi who we are in discussions with regarding listings as soon as possible. Our next step will be to get listed in Cryptopia and we anticipate this taking roughly 60 days. The reason for this is that the listing cost is approximately 5 bitcoins. We don’t have anywhere near that amount of money to pay that listing right out of the gate. We will need for some exchanges to be open for at least a month so that their is a market for our SocialSend coin. We need to sell some in order to list with Cryptopia, but we can’t do that on the first day. We can’t allow our coin to start trading and within a day or two try and sell off five bitcoin worth of coins. It would dump the price for everyone. We will slowly over the course of the first month sell enough so that we can pay the listing fee on Cryptopia. We also anticipate having a decent chance of getting listed on bigger exchanges like Bittrex and Poloniex if we get off to a good start in the next 2 to 3 months.Those exchanges are looking for unique currencies to list and we feel our coin has a good shot at getting their attention. We will do everything possible to get listed on prominent exchanges as soon as possible.

#1 Remove all PieX from C-Cex and place them in wallets.
#2 Enable Settings/Options/Wallet - Coin Control Features.
#3 Go to Send tab and press the "INPUTS" button at the top.
#4 Verify that your coins are not scattered across many addresses.

#4.1 if they are scattered please select them and move them all to as few addresses as you can.

#5 Verify that the addresses/amounts are accurate on http://explorer.piex.io/

If block explorer and the wallet addresses look good.
You are prepared for the Snapshot!

Please Note: Once your coins are combined into as few addresses as possible. Please be careful not to enable Coin Mixing. (This will spread them apart again.)

As far as I understand, the snapshot is complete.  Any staking rewards or MN rewards AFTER Block 58200 can be sent to c-cex and sold.

Do not sell you PIEX coins that were in your wallet at the time of the snapshot.  You will not be swapped by the PIEX team.  It would be like double dipping.  I'm sure a team member will be dropping by with better instructions that I give  ;D

I don't think selling extra coins is a good idea.
You are dumping a dead coin to fellow users, if you can sell them.

Why 4:1?  72,000,000 was the early supply. If we divide this by 4 it should be 18,000,000. Ok... you need some coins for development and staking and investing. Thats ok! But why not change 1:1 with a funding of 10-20% by swapping the coins?

And what happen to my coins on C-CEX. These are early coins! What should i do with them? And what happend to the coins in the wallet which was generated after the 5th of november?

What's with all the rebrands, forks and swaps on such a young project? Give it some stability and some time to harness a community

No one is asking questions because it's all well explained, you're the one not getting it. And you talk about community but we're all in the discord channel were the dev explained the problem even better. And the devs used their own funds and donations to swap Pie holders. Blame C-CEX and his scammy manager.

This is not about the pie to piex swap. It is about the piex to send swap. I just found this coin and read the announcement on the first page. It says I can buy these on C-cex. How was I supposed to know that piex was currently being swapped to Send tokens? Considering there was just a swap from pie to piex that was kind of hard to imagine that there would be another one so soon after, and so badly announced. A coin that is being swapped all the time, with short time to prepare and without proper announcement, is not a very stable currency (and definitely not decentralized).

The whole point with coins on a block chain is that they should be secure. I should be able to buy one and then forget about it for a year and then come back without having to worry about it disappearing (of course if the coin loses support it can lose value, but it should not disappear because there is a central authority saying so). If there is a centralized authority that can decide to change block chain, and if you are not aware of this your asset disappears, well that kind of forfeits the whole point of cryptocurrencies and decentralization. In other words, I don't want to be obliged to be active on discord (or slack, or bitcointalk or twitter or anywhere else) just to be sure I don't lose my investments.

The newest swap is because c-cex scamed the PIEX devs 16 million coins.

If C-CEX didn't scam the community the devs would not swap again. They're swapping because C-CEX stole 16 millions of coins and can dump anytime and THAT would really damage the investments made by the community.

Then they should have announced that clearly in this thread, as well as changed the first page in this thread to no more saying that one can buy piex on c-cex.

The team has been very busy dealing with preparing people for the snapshot as well as forking and coding the new chain.

Just came across this place as I read the term Social Sending. What is that about?

Swapped my PIEX to SEND yesterday.

Social Sending makes it possible for people to send payment directly to another person through social media.

I swapped my PIEX coins to SEND coins today, swapping process was done through discord, no problems, very good handling.

I also swapped, no problems here.

What a mess guys. Can´t find head or tale in any of these treads, PIE, PieX, Send. or whatever the coin is called now. How on earth are we supposed to stay up to date here? Besides trying to join all the discord links brings me to empty groups or nothing.

How to swap Pie? and where to do so? Please.

C-cex did something similar again , they stole hundreds of XVG holders (and others coins) since mid-december and ignoring us while they clearly saw a message.

I have found a (legal) way to at least take down the c-cex website (it's unavailable since this morning thanks to me) follow us here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=418700.3240

Have anyone started legal actions against c-cex?
