Not wanting to be insulting but I see A LOT of Indonesian language threads outside of their local board. I remember I used to have a campaign that accept post from most boards, even Local and Politics and Society but SPECIFICALLY mentioned it will not pay for anything in the Indo board.

I have been a part of this forum for almost 4 years now and I have regularly seen non-English postings here and there. But we should not blame the entire community for the misadventures by a few. I have seen postings in Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Spanish, and even Basque.

Do you think only stupid Indonesians? do you think your country is not stupid? I'm Indonesian I'm stupid, and I'm not smart, but is there someone smart? I think as long as we are still looking for money, we are still stupid. I think humans are nothing stupid, but there are only lazy people. So in my opinion, you should not take the decision to assess the Indonesian citizen is stupid

We cannot just frame a country or a community for the action of an individual.
Everyone may seem stupid one way or other.
PS- I'm not an Indonesian, but I know they have a very diverse society and thinking.

not all Indonesians are stupid, just some people just because there is no chance for school because of the factor of poverty. to overcome the problem the government of indonesia nine years compulsory education program and for the less fortunate people will get scholarships from government and private parties that support government programs

Might be harsh to call all of them stupid but this should be a wake up call for everyone in the forum. This is an English-language site, refrain from creating non-English threads outside your Local board. Before I would tell people to move their post to their Local board or at least translate the OP to English so people would know what they are talking about but I eventually got tired of it.

I mean, hey, I'm not a native English speaker myself but never did stuff like this when I was newbie. (It's almost always newbies doing this.)

By posting these, it's like you are telling people that they should understand your thread and I think that's rude.

Indonesians may not be English proficient, but at least they're bilingual.
All races have their own flaws, stop thinking that you're superior just because you speak fluent English.

This is a nice thread for the meta section. I've seen this problem being discussed over and over. It's not only about the Indonesians. I've seen this done by people from Pakistan, Philippines and other. They are all looking for an easy way to earn money, but what they usually find is a big, fat, juicy ban. :D It's all good if you ask me.
OP is telling the truth but in a rude way which still makes it the truth. This forum is full of illiterate spammers and most of them come from the poorer regions of the world.

I agree with Marinomario. It's unfair to classify all Indonesians as low IQ just because there are those of them posting outside their forum. There could be many other ethnic nationalities doing that. You have to let go of prejudice to know humans are equal.

This happens with just about every language in this forum. I've reported like 4 Russian spam posts in the English forums just yesterday alone. There's also a ton of English spam here. Just people farming activity, report them and move on.

Language is not a basis of knowledge. They may not be that fluent in English, but it doesn't mean that they are stupid. They can even be smarter than any of us. Language is not used to measure knowledge, it is used for communication. Just ignore if you see other languages in English forums, it happens most of the times. Don't spread the hate. We all have the same aim here, to gain knowledge on bitcoin and to earn.

They are obviously spamming though and need to be reported. There's a local section and an English section for a reason. And there should be no non-English posts in the English section of the forum.

C'mon, just because they're English is not as proficient as your's does not make them stupid. They just chose to stick to their culture more.

We can not con fi rm a country stupid or not because of the mistakes or misfortunes of a few people in this forum. it would be nice if we are more wise in commenting, because I think the people who are in this forum are people who are insightful. only bad luck sometimes makes mistakes.

I think the best way for this to be a non-issue is to just refrain from posting those in inappropriate boards. Most boards on this forum, we are expected to post in English. It's just common sense. You post a Filipino (I'm Filipino btw) or Indonesian or whatever language thread here in Politics and Society, how many people do you think would understand that?

And even if it does get several replies, what do you think the people who don't understand it would feel going through it? Imagine yourself at a party, and people only speak English with you, and then they'd all speak in some unintelligible language among themselves. That's how it would feel.

Great way to generalize their entire country. I see other people of other nationalities posting in their own language in the English forum too, but I don't blame them as they may have done it unintentionally. Also, some Indonesians try to post in English but as their proficiency in the language is not good, they include some Bahasa Indonesia in it too, so I really don't blame them either.

You really shouldn't be insulting the entire country when someone makes a mistake and since most people are posting in English in most of the threads doesn't mean that other languages are not allowed even though no one understands them. And for someone as wise as you are, your spellings isn't that perfect.

Why must you have to categorize the whole country as Stupid? It's uncalled for. Though, they may be wrong in an aspect. But, yet, the country isn't stupid.

I had an Indonesian roommate, he was intelligent and smart, so I would not generalize that statement to the whole community.

However According to UNESCO Indonesia it has an adult literacy rate of 95.38%. While the male literacy rate is 97.17%, for females is 93.59%, It is a good rate, but being educated doesn't approve that all educated persons are intelligent or smart. They are just educated people about one particular subject in order to do a job.

Why be racist? They are also human beings. If we hear in news about them doing things we are not used to do, that is because that is how they are brought up or that maybe is their culture and belief. But why put them down? Putting someone down does not make us more superior than them. It only shows what kind of character we have and what kind of people we are if we continue on judging one another. After all we dont really have the right to judge our fellow because like them we also are imperfect. We are human and we should keep our feet on the ground.

It is quite irritating to see posts in Malay and Russian made in the English language sections of this forum. When I first joined this forum in 2013/14, most of the users were educated and well mannered. But times have changed. The sharp rise in the exchange rate of Bitcoin has attracted uneducated filth from every nook and corner of the globe. The quality of the posts have gone down drastically. Only a few posters such as Vod and BurtW (Burt Wagner) are maintaining the quality.

I don’t think it is fair to call all indonesian or a person stupid. People have different culture and we need to respect them. Being “stupid” is not about the race or person you are. You become Stupid when someone call you stupid, if you think 1st world country are smart, think again there are thousand or millions americans or european who are not good on using a simple “Smartphone”. There are fields we do not excel but I am sure there is a field where we are pro. The point is don’t call someone stupid you don’t know and in public.

I wouldn't say that Indonesia is a very tolerant country. It was a tolerant country during the 80s, but the situation has changed rapidly. There were riots against the Chinese population during the 90s, in which hundreds of Chinese women were raped by the Muslim gangs. Later, there were genocides against he Christians in the Moluccas.

Indonesians have an average IQ of 86. Their memories are excellent but their cognitive abilities are lacking, which is similar to the Aboriginals of Australia who have an IQ lower than an Indonesian. I can attest to this as I've worked with Indonesians for over 3 years. Their ability to understand something is very limited and they get very defensive when you point out the obvious flaws of their argument. The ones who speak and write English (which they do both rather poorly) are by far the worst. They refuse assistance to correct their mistakes, get very defensive, and bizarrely, attempt to correct your English grammar! I've worked with dozens of people from around the world and Indonesians have easily earned the world title of 'The Arrogance of Ignorance.'. Their ignorance is something to behold and suspect it will not change anytime soon. Genetics does that.

I don't think that Indonesians are dumb at all. They can post where ever they like to and even express it any language. But yeah, it would've been great if they could post in am english language to an english forum but hey, if you want to know what they posted i think a dimpke google translate would actually be fine.
