WHY?!! So fn annoying. EVERYTHING IS DOWN again today, just when things were starting to look good again. I HATE THIS.

Everyone is apparently switching to BCH, opinions? I can't find anything to suggest BTC is going to combat scale-ability anytime soon.

Oh bitcoin, we love and hate you for the same reasons, if you have some HODL, if you don't, maybe get some and HODL. Or if it's too much stress just pretend like it deontic exist lol.

With the lack of scalability of BTC it is a worry how this is going to affect the price going forward

If this is how you feel, Bitcoin isn't for you. Please take this advice seriously: for as long as cryptocurrencies exist, it's completely "normal" to go up and down 10-50% per day.
You can't expect anything that can go up 10,000% in a few months to never drop, and you shouldn't invest more than you're willing to lose.

It's just part of the game. Of course I hate seeing my coins drop in value too, but I've been around long enough, so instead of panic selling, I stick to my plan: only sell at certain price levels.

The fork hype is gone, many turning back to alts and many more jumping out for fiat, normal everyday crypto :D

It's just that the money from BTC is switching to other coins and some invest in BCH as well since there was no fork.This is normal and the price will fluctuate-I think now we are returning back to how the markets were before the fork news and I think that is for good.We will see after all

I was just checking out Bitcoin Gold (BCG) and it is actually up 30% today.

Well this is to be expected since that is just normal in the market. We can just easily panic just because the went down at a high percentage. We could just take it as an opportunity to buy. Because it is not also normal if the price will always just go down. They need to at least pump the price for users so that their can be another dump at a higher price. Even though fork maybe be cancelled, it was not stated that it won happen. Maybe in a week again the price might go back at its original price.

It is just how the world of bitcoin works it won't always be gaining price so day will be up others down.

What do you expect to happen when there is turmoil associated with Bitcoin? The movement of cryptocurrencies is a self-regulating system - where bitcoin is a ringleader.
Don't try to fight it, simply embrace it as a feature of the crypto market. If you can't stand the fluctuation and volatility then maybe focus on traditional investment instruments?
But remember - when you will pick some more stable options you may forget about XXX% profit overnight...

everything id down, except for bitcoincash, i was tempted to buy bch but i rather convert my btc into usdt much safer choice im not really a buyer with FOMOs. but bch may go still go up trade at your own risk

do not panic this is only temporary because the price will go back up and become expensive again, this is just the investors take their profits.

Just have faith my friend. Bitcoin is getting stable after years and years of existence. It would not be worth it to invest our time to bitcoin if it would just fail after dumps and dumps right? I am sure that bitcoin will rise again after some problems are sort. Do not panic because bitcoin will get back up soon. I am on long term investment right now and I am also worried but I know that I'll get it and reap the rewards at the end.

I feel that the Bitcoin price goes down and the BCH price increase as a signal inspired necklaces.

you can only trade everything else (aka altcoins) if either of these conditions are true:
1. bitcoin price is stable. stability can be short and it is when price fluctuates less than 10%. that time traders who can't really make much profit in bitcoin market switch to altcoins to pump them and make money.

2. if the altcoin is getting pumped. that requires the altcoin to not be in a bubble already. like what is happening to bitcoin cash. it was not in a bubble, in fact it was properly dumped and it is being pumped right now. in the following 2-6 months you will see lots of bag holders who have bought BCH on top of the upcoming bubble and will cry their hearts out about how good BCH is in hopes that it goes back up but it won't.

II also noticed that BCH gained a massive amount in just a week. It could be that the hype made by Roger Ver is working and the pump is really happening on their side, only to be dumped by Ver again when his pockets are full once more. They are promoting that BCH is the real bitcoin and BTC is dead because of Segwit. The market still says no.

There is nothing wrong with the price of bitcoin and altcoins.Almost all the altcoins depends on bitcoin price movement and bitcoin is down because some whales cashing out their profits and weak hands selling thier coins.Price will recover back as it always do :)

That's not true at all. Its not a fact indeed. Because if you are a dedicated bitcoiner, bitcoin is just on bitcoin. Not all will go down. Not everything will be crash. The rhythm for other thing stays.

Bitcoin is a little bit down today, but no worries. Some altcoins may profit, although most of them didn't. At the moment Bitcoin is still dropping, but that's just temporary. Some whales are cashing, but next week we'll have the uptrend back again. At the end of this month it will be 8K and at the end of the year 10K.

If you are upset when Bitcoin goes down in price for a few hours, you are in the wrong place. Crypto currencies are in a place of wild swings. Volatility is so high that it is not for the faint-hearted. Better get used to that or you are better off investing in Treasury bills.

Well, we had a pretty clear blow-off top at $7900 on very high volume. Based on that alone, I'd expect a sizeable correction to occur. Past corrections in this year's rally have been in the 30-40% range, meaning we could see prices ~ $5000. That also fits with the overall parabolic structure (assuming the corrections continue becoming shorter by time). Below $4900 and I would worry that the rally is done and we could see a prolonged bear market.

Bitcoin fork was cancelled, people don't get free coins anymore and have fears about scalability, thus they remove money from bitcoin and bitcoin price falls, bitcoin price falls and the uneducated panic and withdraw money from all cryptos, all prices fall. It's just part of the cycle, it will pass, don't panic.

Don't worry about that sir, even the price of bitcoin decrease and others its normal. Every coin experiencing dump price. But for sure bitcoin will recover fastly and we see again 7k dollars . Sure as hell seems like Bitcoin cash is on a rise up. People are pretty frustrated about the fact that this split didn't happen and they didn't they the free coins that they were hyping up so much. Bitcoin is bound do go down for a little bit. We were in a bubble that was formed from the thoughts of a fork, and there is no surprise that it has dropped a $1000. We should have a good rebound in set when it drops to 6000 if it ever does.

What annoys me, is that the alts allways go with it. Mostly all of them. I cant stand it. Why is it so related. Why cant they be fn independant of btc.

You are not right. Bitcoin cash price goes up. This coin has gathered the capital that speculators hoped that will be introduced segwit2x. I am sure that if the fork took place then nothing would have changed. They just brought their capital and bitcoin would fall in value. I hope that the situation will soon stabiliziruemost.

Im using bitcoin for a couple of months.
Im using it to pay for some services(need almost 150 euro every month),i realize that its easier for me to gain btc and that gives me the feeling that im not "giving" money.

I dont care if the btc has high or low demand.I want to receive my purchase if not instantly then the same day.At the last few days thats impossible.
I dont want to pay 3+ euros for a payment of 50 euro.I checked my blockchain wallet a few minutes ago and the optimal fees to send 1mbtc was 11+euro!!!!!.WHat will happen if the bitcoin became real mainstream?

The fact that BTC is down today does not mean that it wont go up again soon. Few month back it was not as high asit is today. So am hoping that BTC will soon come up again. No panic atall. I cherish my BTC so much.

Don't be annoyed mate, everyone is just riding the train of BCH so don't hate it. This is also happening to bitcoin and we are all happy when bitcoin's price is increasing. This is why bitcoin is volatile and you should be aware and prepared most of the time so that you won't hurt yourself when something like this is happening.

With the cancellation of 2x fork the supporters of that fork are shifting their investment to bitcoin cash and so is the reason we are seeing some stagnation in the entire market,the price of bitcoin cash has recovered a lot from the past simply because the fork has being called off,with the price of bitcoin soaring for a long time,expect this correction and will have another rally at a later time.

Don't lose hope this is normal situation in bitcoin. All falls down and we think of our investment will lose its value, but lets not stop from there it will rise again. Yes exactly its volatile and it is normal that price ups and down.

I am sharing your frustration. I think most of us are really frustrated right now. I was happy looking at my blockfolio yesterday because even if Bitcoin is going down a little, the altcoins are flying. But it ended up very short-lived in that Bitcoin continued to fall down to less than $6,700 and then the altcoins followed suit. This is the most frustrating part. Because if Bitcoin goes up very high, the altcoins are going red but when Bitcoin goes down too low, the altcoins are still red.

It's  part of the life cycle of bitcoin remember when bitcoin was still 1,000-2,000 US dollars but now price is 6,500 it's  because we got use to the price surge of bitcoin that we think it is at low but no we should just be thankful that it did not go down as low as 3,000 US dollars patience is important when you are investing  in this kind of activities.

because they are not standalone projects that were created to do something meaningful. instead they are mostly projects created for the sole purpose of getting pump and dumped so that people can make more bitcoin out of them or generally more money.
everyone in here is in it for more bitcoin and eventually more money. not to get more altcoins that is why they dump their altcoins to get back in bitcoin trading and make the most profit out of its movements.

that is also one of the reasons why people compare altcoin market with Penny Stocks market.

We can't blame those people that are too worried about the dip. They can't see the advantage of bitcoin while on the dip, this is now buying back time for those people that are just waiting for the fruit to get down from a tree. The transaction fees are crazy now and yet I'll still believe and stay to bitcoin. This is just something that's explainable and it happened before. I'm only waiting for those miners to get back so that they'll mine more bitcoin as the difficulty was lowered I guess as many jumped to mine bitcoin cash. Well it was expected for price to go down a bit, before SegWit2x and hard fork. But now when SegWit2x is not coming, it is kinda odd to see price drop this much. But I guess what ever happen Bitcoins price will recover after sometime, at least that is what happened last time. A lot of people support Bitcoin, and even more are coming, so I see no reason why we should be afraid of Bitcoins future. But only time will tell.

Bitcoin value highly affects alt coin market, if there is a sudden rise in the value of Bitcoin one can expect a crash in alt coins as there values starts dumping as seen in the previous days. Also, if Bitcoin values falls it can pull everything down but this is not true every time. Like recently, after Segwit2x got cancelled Bitcoin price started falling and investment started following into alt coins and among all BCH got highly pumped. So, market is highly unpredictable and anything can happen if Bitcoin is going up or down.

I had some zrx on my portfolio and i have red numbers again.. it is okay, i have not lost money because bitcoin increased a lot today, so i am on a break-even situation, but it is not good to have altcoins with red numbers.
I dont know why zrx is going down again, i thought that the bearish trend was already over, but a lot of altcoins are dropping right now and it seems that the bleed time is now starting again.
The only ones who are still in green are lisk, litecoin, and ethereum, the other ones are all in red.

Altcoin gets hammered so hard in the dollar value if bitcoin down, but if the bitcoin goes like this time and altcoin gets down on its bitcoin value. And the conclusion about the bitcoin is not giving any trend or impact to the price. Because the altcoin still need to re-corrected their value again into the bitcoin and dollars. bitcoin as the main currency that already pegged by a lot of the crypto.

Right now some altcoins show growth in terms of USD, but the same is not happening with relation to bitcoin. The price decline of altcoins always gets related to the bitcoin, because altcoins were dependents whereas bitcoin is independent to grow a of its own.

Agreed. Ups and down are part of a currency, it can never happen that after spring autumn do not come, every hight has a fall so predicting that bitcoin price won't fall is totally senseless because every currency face the same fate of rise and fall. But after a fall it will boast and will go very far, and set new records of success , but in today's age bitcoin is not totally leading so cash out some bitcoin and keep it safe so to use it when bitcoin fall

If you are investing on something don't expect that every day is a green day. You should understand that there will be days that your investment's price might go down but you must hope that it will go up again.
