Hello guys, I currently have quite a bit of NEO and I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to dump it all on Dash or another currency?

I'm thinking about putting all my faith on Dash with the Dash evolution coming up.

Yes, for two reasons.

1. NEO is a great project and long term holding should be rewarding.
2. Currently Bitcoin is under attack and attempt to transfer hash power to BCH. I' holding all my alts.

I'd keep it - it looks like the Chinese restrictions on ICO's will be temporary, and when it lifts - NEO will skyrocket. The fact that it didn't dump harder when the China news came in and it's held this level is a good sign in my opinion.

NEO is a great project and has a huge potential to grow but DASH update is good and will surely boost it's price. Considering that you have been holding for some time now, you might habe had profit. If you have gain now why not sell half to obtain dash? That way you can obtain both coins holding potential then hold it. Remember to not put your eggs in one basket so do not go all in with dash, it is not trading anymore if you will just put faith on one certain coin rather than diversifying it.

I wouldn't sell for this current price. For me, it needs to make 2x at least so that I can make profit realization and sell my NEO assets. If you're a holder just watch the market and hold yours.

i think there are a lot better coins right now to be invested in. Go back to neo later on when the second ico is about to start on there platform. Make some easy gains in coins in the meantime. My recommendation is KCS (kucoin shares). That will give you a good earn daily in the meantime while you make up your mind.

If you believe in altcoins, sure that NEO in one of best choices. NEO is very attractive for investors. Soon after BTC becomes stable, many people will invest in NEO and If the Chinese government allows the use of cryptos again to be legal, NEO will rise in price very much. I think NEO is ready for a big pump.

That is a big if !!! we have no idea what the Chinese government is up to and until they remove the ban we cannot see any improvement in the price of NEO and hence it is a long term hold,just wage your profit right now if you invest in any short term rally and plan on getting back the NEO coins when the atmosphere is clear.

I did not hold it anymore. I will definitely put my money in other coin rather than continue holding it.

NEO and DASH both are great coins to hold long term. If you have too much in NEO and
too little in Dash, then nothing wrong with a rebalance.

how would u find out fast if that happened I assume thats when Neo will go up soon as that news gets released so wouldnt the key would be to hear this news ASAP ?

Neo is now for very low price , it can be cost 100$ or more within next year and earlier , as China decides it law on crypto. Remember the story of ETH , it can be the same.

China always have their own version of technology as neo I'd their own ethereum. Considering the technological advancement in China, it would be a good idea to hold neo, at least till next year.

DASH is also a good payment solution, but there is no reason to sell NEO and buy DASH at the moment, if you ask me.

NEO is one of the greatest things that ever came out of China. If we was to take into consideration all that is going on as regards Technology in China, then it would be a good idea to Hodl NEO.

There are also other Altcoins that you could consider Hodling too. Consider Ripple even though its centralised and under the influence of Banks around the world. It has good potential to rise in value!

I think this is the right decision as well. NEO is a good coin to hold, just give it a couple of years. Also it should shoot up once the China ban stuff gets sorted out - I'm sure that is temporary.

Actually he is worry about Neo coins he have and thinking that it might gives dump in the chart how Dash and some altcoins pumped. Better op can hold half of the amount in NEO and half of the amount can be moved to Dash or other top altcoins.

Holding NEO altcoins now is not bad, all crypto currency altcoin are good to hold long term. Neo coins found in china ICOs project after their goverment get banned of bitcoin this altcoin now is quietly low price value and freezing the price. But who knows they back bitcoin in china it rising up again like what happen of ethereum. Theres nothing wrong in holding in all altcoins they all have potential in crypto market cap, i always looked and up and give prioritize altcoin those who have high value in crypto market.

Having faith in only one coin is not the best thing you can do, what you want is holding several coins to make sure that if Dash doesn't work out for you that you'll have some sort of backup. The thing with putting all your eggs in one basket is that if the basket drops, then all your eggs are done for, which sucks. Dash might never make it, what will you do then? It's a good idea to be more diversified than you already are and buy maybe some "main" coins. You have many options including ETH which is performing quite well and will soon go through several updates to make the underlying protocol more powerful. You need to have a back-up for Dash and you should own way more coins than you already do.

I think that NEO will do great next year, or maybe again this year if we get across some great development or news. NEO made a few 1000% in short period of time, so it's possible for it to stagnate for a while. But definitely HODL  8)

I dont understand why you are still holding neo's. it is a quiet coin and has been used only to make some profit from the quick pump and dump that it had on the past.
The only good thing from NEO is that you are able to receive some GAS from it only for free, but you need more than ten thousand dollars worth of neo to make $20 a day at least.
It is a good coin, but i dont see any good news in that at all, maybe we should wait a little bit longer in order to receive some REAL good news about this coin.

You haven't followed the developments regarding regulations in China? If China is going to allow a regulated crypto market, then NEO has an advantage because the Chinese government considers NEO to be more compliant than other cryptocurrencies. There is still hope until they develop one of their own.

NEO quiet? Neo has been anything but quiet, or have you forgotten the intense hype surround Red Pulse ICO? It had all the big news outlets pushing it, the big names in industry of crypto, and simply didn't let up on how Neo would be big, would be used by banks, etc.

And yes, they were very smart to implement the Gas system. This encouraged a lot of people to simply hold and earn gas. $20 a day from $10,000 is still 0.2% a day, and that's a LOT of interest in a sense.

Anyway, I doubt China will take on Neo more differently than others, I could be wrong of course but Chinese government isn't as corrupt and easily swayed as most people believe.

I read some news that China will allow again the ICOs where it was banned a couple months, only if they use the NEO as their official cryptocurrency platform. Chinese government gives full support to NEO as it's blockchain technology was developed by their own countrymen. Be careful with holding NEO for too long, Since it produces gas over time if you are not careful it might cause explosion :D Only if you bought them in ICO for cheap, You should hold them for 10-15 years, Like I do with bitcoin, I didn't sell when price dropped under $5600.

I suggest you have to hold both. Dash and NEO have many holders with their respective plans. Try to split your funds in Neo and Dash. Neo had a price increase yesterday, and Dash also went up with Dash core update. So, both are legit.

People are getting interested in NEO and they believe that the price of NEO will go up because everyone is now after bitcoins but when the craze of bitcoins will end people will come to altcoins and on the first number is I guess NEO coin or ethereum.

I think NEO is a long-held altcoin. Neo these days there seems to be other good news to be released, do not know if it is true or false. But NEO github update frequency is still very fast, it is commendable.

The price of Neo went up so fast recently, I sold all my NEO at $40 and would buy back when the price corrected to $27.

After some fake news, the price of the asset fell significantly. But it seems to me that this is a temporary phenomenon and just now you can find a good entry point.

I would replace NEO in your place like Ethereum. Definitely better now and prosper and constantly evolving, and from what I have seen lately NEO shrinks a little. But it's your decision.

I suggest you to keep holding it as there's a lot of speculations from experts that NEO's price will raise hugely at 2018+. The price of NEO now slowly raise again after falling badly these past few days which indicates it as a stable coin. I think of this coin as a sleeping giant actually, and I believe of it. But I think, investing in other altcoins such as ETH, Stratis, and Steem might be awesome too :) goodluck!!   

Have you made your nice profit already with NEO? If the answer is NO then you better hodl NEO some more months to gain some good profit. But if the answer is YES then perhaps you might consider taking your capital investment and invest it on Dash. Or if you want to take everything from NEO and shift to Dash it is entirely your choice. However, the first option is the one I am suggesting so that if NEO is still going to rise, you will continue to make more gains.

For me it is okay for you to hold your NEO because NEO is a very nice project and i know that when you hold it you can earn many profit using it or by holding it, but if you dont want to hold it i will advice you to replace it like ETH because it is also reliable and one of the best altcoins.

Altcoins are currently in a consolidating period, so selling now wouldn't be wise as you already missed your opportunity. Now you just need to wait for the next bull run.

I think it is a good choice to hold the NEO. One reason is that it has been widely accepted and the potential is obvious. Another reason is tthe price now is a little low.

i think at this moment its too late to release your neo because of that fake news about chinas returning to circulations.but neo has a good project and you can trust it for a long term holding so better not be alarmed because in a couple of months neo's value will surely increase.so better wait if you really want a good profit

I am hodling mine for now... give and take 1-2 years. I use BTC, ETH for daily trades... in reality I am Hodling all alts... not enough money to worry about unless you have few thousand or more in your NEO.

Diversify man. I do hold on to my NEO but as part of a diversified portfolio which includes it. If you ONLY have NEO, then yes I would suggest to sell most of them and diversify into several other coins such as BTC, ETH, DASH, or LTC. But yes, NEO should be in your portfolio as well.

I think holding a chinese currency is very risky. It might go up extremely quick but it might crash just as fast, like what happened during the "china is banning cryptocurrencies" FUD. I woke up at NEO was down like 60%..

Yes it is a good idea to hodl your NEOs. There are just great things coming for neo not just because china is its main contributors but its just a hell of a competitors right now in cryptocurrency. Neo is aiming to contrast digital assets where NEO aims to convert traditional assets into digital ones using smart contracts. These digital assets will be decentralized and will be protected by law using digital certificates on the blockchain, which in turn, will guarantee trust. So this can be a revolution. Holding NEO coin is a good choice because just like the other altcoins right now, it’s on its dumping value and most of the investors isn’t deciding to sell at a low price. While the price is at little low selling isn’t a good choice for now and the best is to wait until further development of the price will be happening in sooner time. Your expectation on neo will be happen means many altcoins investors will be happy about the neo coins growth.
When I check the neo value movement in the coinmarketcap, I find that neo shows predominent bumps in the chart in this year and there is no any big lags in the movement by looking it.
Since I invested in Ripple and waves, I expect these coins to move further in the price chart.

Some of the reasons to do that is because NEO is kinda acting as a hedge against ETH, which means that if something happens to ETH and it fails, in one way or another, then the second best option out there would be NEO. Some are saying that ETC is a good alternative to ETH but that's not tha case, the team is not implementing anything that is worth considering and it only lacks behind the shadow of ETH. NEO at least is innovating and is trying to get regulatory approval, it serves as well the Asian market which is kinda huge considering that many new users will come from there, so you stand to earn quite something by holding NEO.

I like NEO, and it might still have a future but I think ethereum is better. It has good potencial with the raiden network, and yes I know it will take some time to deploy that, but Vitalik is probably good enough to deliver that. But for me, there is one huge thing that you just can't ignore on ether, that is the "network effect" or the "brand effect". People keep raising funds for ICOs through the ethereum platform, and they see it evolving, they see that institutional investors are starting to look at it, just like they are doing with bitcoin (although for completely different reasons), and in the end they will choose ether over Neo, because they will have more profits there.
You can change NEO for Dash, but I would change it for ether if you really want to sell your NEO. It's cheaper right now, I think it will be very strong in 2018, just like BTC.

all over the world. Neo is one of my top 5 favorites of all altcoins. Just do some research about it and I am sure that you will think about it the same way.

Yes, keep on holding on your NEO until the price pumped. Don't waste your token of nonsense and not an important thing. The altcoin price will appreciate after a month or a year so in crypto, "Patience is a virtue". If you don't have patience, your tokens will dump immediately and can not be used properly. In your spare of money will not be used appropriately and all your money will dump also.

Yes I like that phrase patience is a virtue, if your token is in lower value don't dump immediately because as per experience almost all token will appreciate
after a month, but sometimes due to immediate need and lack of trust were in hurry to dump it immediately, but later on we can find it pumping up,so we can loss the value of our many instead of earning profit we just lost it, patience and  good decision making is the key to become a earner.

Yes project is still interesting , of course it will depends on how China will regulate cryptocurrencies and ICOs.

Neo is actually a good coin and still promising and this quarter NEO proved that it has the potential to rise together with other top Altcoins like Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, BitConnect etc. And it is predicted that next year will be the year of Altcoins.

Yeah, most times we really do not even know what the future holds and then we have to just make decisions based on what we can assume or predict. Dash too is a good option, but at this stage when NEO is really down, I would advise the OP to just hold.

Aside these, if he has some strong reasons to want to have some Dash just in case, I see no reason why he should not like you have said, since Dash really do have some great prospect as well.

I would recommend using % in your investment / hodlings in general, i.e. about 70% on top ten coins and the rest divided between all other alt-coins aka Sh.t Coins.

Of course, Neo has insane potential. China is a big player and the population can move the price of coins easily. I think we'll see $100+ within the next few months.

Having faith in only one coin is not the best thing you can do, what you want is holding several coins to make sure that if Dash doesn't work out for you that you'll have some sort of backup. The thing with putting all your eggs in one basket is that if the basket drops, then all your eggs are done for, which sucks. Dash might never make it, what will you do then? It's a good idea to be more diversified than you already are and buy maybe some "main" coins. You have many options including ETH which is performing quite well and will soon go through several updates to make the underlying protocol more powerful. You need to have a back-up for Dash and you should own way more coins than you already do.

In my opinion you should hold your Neo coin will be better for your investment Because the main factor is that you can make earnings by taking the neo by getting free GAS , so whatever you are getting daily loss , leave everything worries about it and then go for the hold for long term until its price get increase , second thing here you should do that if you have no control then sell small amount of the Neo and then buy dash and also another coins Because here to go with small no. Of the coins to make trading is not a better way to make trading , Because the market of the single coins can go down much and can go up , no one can make predictions perfectly .
So hold your investment in your old coins and wait for perfect timing and go for trade with multiple Coins .

well what i can suggest,  sell or trade half of your NEO then hold on to the other half so that if the price of NEO would increase,you still have a good number of coins to use.  :)

Yes mate, if you want to get pretty good profit keep your NEO crypto in your wallet. I am more than sure that this altcoin and platform in future will demonstrate us something new. It will grow sure.

I'm starting to change my mind from hold to sell. At first I thought NEO would be the Chinese Ethereum. That may still be true at some point in the future. But Bitcoin has been gaining dominance since last July. The summer of altcoins is over and even Ethereum is depreciating against Bitcoin. If Ethereum is decreasing in value then so will the possible Chinese Ethereum.

The world of the Chinese is a different world. I think that they will slowly shoe their horses, and then gallop. I'm looking forward to interesting news, as the latest announcements disappointed me very much. NEO is a very cool product with great support and with a great future.

If you believe in altcoins, sure that NEO in one of best choices. NEO is very attractive for investors. Soon after BTC becomes stable, many people will invest in NEO and If the Chinese government allows the use of cryptos again to be legal, NEO will rise in price very much. NEO is a great project and has a huge potential to grow.Considering that you have been holding for some time now, you might have had profit. You can sell half of your neo or you can wait till the 1stQ of 2018, at that time neo price will be pumped to $80 to $90.

My lesson learnt in cryptos is that once you have a currency you'd better hold it forever since sooner or later you would regret having sold it.

NEO is recovering a little bit, but looking at the exchange rate in BTC it really should have been above $50 by now.

If I become you will sell it, because I have experienced like this. surely if you get a neo coin from bounty just sell and never look back but if you buy neo coins from trading then you sell should get profit according to cost to be incurred.

Neo is a long term project and china will going to adopt it
when they going on some implementation and regulate it in china surely the
price will hit high, but again you'll have to hold it now, till then
just make it sleep on your wallet or mine some GAS so it will not be a waste on time while
waiting on the hype,

BTW , i myself is a holder of NEO i believe it will be a great deal near future
price of it now is still i believe a under valued..

Hold your NEO very tight reason being NEO is a great project and a promising project. An understanding of NEO market base which is Asia is enough for you to hold the coin for long.

Neo was great for me and swing trades,its in the 32-36$ chanel for 2 weeks while there is acumulation ongoing.Will probably see it going to 50$ soon if not over 50

I participated in one of the projects NEO and I hope that not in vain. The reality of positive forecasts is very high and I hope for future prospects.

Neo will have in 2018 at least 20 ICO and many other projects.

End of this year will start decentralisation process, I think is set for 25. dec.

Agree on this. NEO and DASH are both ok for long term investment. NEO is the sleeping giant from CHINA. There are many chinese rooting for NEO. Just wait and trust on the project.

The possibility for NEO is huge and in just some matter of months, NEO is really going to be doing great. It is a coin to hold for long term and just not bother about it. The potential is solid and once it is fully established, we might start seeing some contracts making use of it. It may end up being another Ethereum in the long run probably with a better prospect.
