So we see that something like a real fight between Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash has started. While BTC fell and go on falling, Bitcoin Cash has shown a fantastic growth!
Does it mean that there is a possibility altcoin will be the winner?

I hope no. Bitcoin was always win, what don't kill you make you stronger. And we not yet see full potential of bitcoin uses's

There won't be other leader than BTC. BCH is only altcoin. Maybe it's a little stronger than BTC by tech, but community is confident in BTC much more than in any other alts.

And why do you think that bitcoin will stand and again gain strength?

bch is not going to replace bitcoin anytime soon. However, it could eventually grow at a faster rate than bitcoin. Then, if it surpassed bitcoin after some time of coexistence, changing the brand names would be highly confusing for the most people and probably damage both brands.  Once bitcoin is dethroned, this might have a very negative effect on the whole market and even crash it for long time if not forever, because people don`t want to invest in something that will again be replaced by a better coin in future.

I don't know, but in my opinion I think a lot of what is happening is the fear of missing out so ppl are pouring money to Bitcoin Cash now. Not sure if it'll last though, I think Bitcoin will be the long term winner

Bitcoin always comes out on top! Bitcoin Cash had it's shining moment, and Altcoins will too. But the fact remains that Bitcoin always prevails!

The stats suggest BCH will gain second place in the Total Market Cap behind BTC.

I think the alts are rising but they are never going to reach and level with bitcoin. The market is very active in alts today compared to bitcoin and you can see that more projects are opening in alts than bitcoin and this is the reason its value decreases. But still, alts are somehow dependent on bitcoin so i cant say that they will rise above it.

We cannot say it for now. As we can surely see that bitcoin cash needs a long run to beat bitcoin because eventhough bitcoin is falling the price was like not affected on it.

In order for Bitcoincah to overtake Bitcoin, it needs merchant adoption.

At the moment powerful gatekeepers like Bitpay and Coinbase are supporting bitcoin only. Once they enable bitcoincash, we'll probably then get a chance to see the market at work where users choose the coin they like best. Until then though, BCH will struggle to take the #1 spot.

Bitcoin cash is just a hype. This is due to the fact that many people go along with increasing prices. In the desire to earn a great deal. yesterday November 13, 2017 marked the most important date of Bitcoin Cash enthusiasts including me that the hard fork was successful somewhere in 504,000 block and a numbers of enhancements were updated to the fork. Bitcoin Cash and investors and supporters are now excited what's next and the value increase will give more motivation to invest more and to attract more investors and more crypto miners.

I believe that the answer here is a BIG NO. Why can you say that since still bitcoin is the 1st crypto currency. Bitcoin will still be the 1st and the number 1. Bitcoin cash will still need to prove itself more, before it can be a winner but as of now bitcoin will still be winner. I guess butcoin cash will not gonna beat bitcoin. I am not saying that you need to believe in me. Bitcoin and bitcoin cash are both good and has a potential, if you are planning to invest then why not invest for both of them.

I believe Bitcoin will not lose it's place as the top and most high priced cryptocurrency in the world but Bitcoin Cash is now facing Bitcoin's tail as Bitcoin Cash is also now is heading it's way to $2k per coin this month.

Bitcoin Cash can beat Bitcoin in terms of scalability and offer wide features that has been hard forked yesterday. Block size increase that's been debated into Segwit2x has been packed into an Bitcoin Cash blockchain update but in terms of the value, still Bitcoin is the highest valued cryptocurrency on the planet. Nothing beats Bitcoin in general aspects because Bitcoin's core has been maintained by top blockchain developers and the network has been secure and more and more investors everyday were trading Bitcoin as their main generator of profits.

I highly doubt it. There is really no reason why people should move to bitcoin cash and away from bitcoins. Bitcoins are still pretty much alive and doesn't really require what bitcoin cash is offering. Right now the only reason why bitcoin cash suddenly moved is because of the shills promoting it. Bitcoin price would have dropped after the SW2x fork no matter what. BCash simply timed an attack to take advantage of that to make it seem like the market actually cares.

No, I don't think BCH can do that :)) Few days ago BCH price increased very quickly just because the whales tried to pump its price to make all trader leave sold all their Bitcoin for BCH made BTC price dumped a lot :))). It's what the whales want they do cause they sold their Bitcoin at very high price and they're waiting for the price dump :)) At the moment price of Bitcoin is being stable aroung 6k5$ because the whales get enough money at this period :D

Bitcoin Cash is not a serious project because there are a lot manipulators. Trying to kill bitcoin is not good for the crypto business. They should think of other good things to do.

The rise and fall of the value of a coin depend on different factors, of course when there is strong speculation on something the market reacts accordingly, this sudden rise of bch was triggered by a double factor that happened in the same week, the cancellation of segwit2x and the fork of bch. All of that at the same time just moved a lot of funds toward the altcoin and corrected bitcoin, which is pretty normal, but again bitcoin has more story and acceptance in mainstream market which so far no other coin has. Gain momentum any coin may have, surpass bitcoin, not so fast, I believe.

BCH had nothing to do with the SegWit2X fork. The fork was like a competitor for BCH. It would have reduced the scaling issues, and thereby make Bitcoin stronger than Bitcoin Cash. Why some people are comparing Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin? Well, they are related to each other. You can tell by their names. There is no problem if either of the two wins. Altcoin beating Bitcoin, on the other hand, is impossible. The value of Bitcoin is way too far from the value of any Altcoin.

Base on the week war within BTC/BCH

We can see BTC is clearly the winner, although BCH value has rise almost 4 times from the base price.

However, BCH has only increase its 8MB block size, but didn't integrate with Segwit.
From what i read, with Segwit implementations, you can do tons of upgrade in protocols like Lightning Network

i don't think that bitcoin cash will beat bitcoin because its too far to compete with bitcoin itself. there are many people which giving their support to bitcoin as the leader of the cryptocurrency world. but the increasing of bitcoin cash yesterday really makes people amaze because the price is increase so high and even it reach more than 0.4 btc but suddenly the price is drop too much like what we now. i don't think that the price will be increase again in short term because the volume is drop too.

BCH will be very difficult to replace BTC's position because BTC is supported by many corporations and large countries in the world. CoinFlip has announced that their ATMs will only support BTC. Price is not the only basis so we can say that one coin will defeat other coin. But we must take a big consideration for its acceptance in the community, if this coin will stay at that trend for a long time.
We can say BCH now is trending and mostly talk by many traders and investors just because of having a price surprise in the market. But look out the price right now is going down. BCH is no different from other altcoin, and there is no chance of winning against bitcoin.

I still don't see what the point of bitcoin cash is, or how it will be a good long term coin. Bitcoin has become a store of value, and block size and transaction time don't prevent this. If you want a faster coin for transactions, then bch is vastly inferior to coins such as xrp. What is bch actually aiming to be?

In December, another fork is coming and people will dump the BCH once again to get the bitcoin and the price of Bitcoin will be sky high again.

Bitcoin Cash will not beat BTC. It does not matter how much current has power they have because they most have more cumulative Proof of Work than the BTC blockchain in order for it to be called the true Bitcoin. Also, the full nodes have to be in agreement with these new rules and as we say with the UASF movement it's the people who have the power, not the miners.

A user of instance can directly invest to ETH, but why bitcoin. Right ? Because it's convenient, safer, practical, and in demand.

Roger Ver and Jihan Wu still have a lot of BTC, BCash and fiat to manipulate the market with, so they might try to pull off some more stunts in the future.

But given the market's reaction their chances of succeeding have been lowered dramatically.

No crypto can beat BBC not even Bitcoin cash

Bitcoin Cash seems to have been artificially pumped up by a few individuals recently. As long as BTC can figure out how to speed up and cheapen transactions somewhat soon, it should hold off Bcash.

Jihan Wu knows a thing or two about psychology. Right now I think he's waiting for nervousness to reach a certain level in the market like there was in the days just before the Segwit2x fork got canceled. Bitcoin holders were expecting a correction and that is when the Bitcoin Cash team struck.

If nothing else, what I learned from this situation is: Do not underestimate Jihan Wu and his cronies. They are extremely wealthy (in BTC), and the multi-faceted attack they carried out over the past week was fucking impressive. Old timers can see through the bullshit and can recognize what altcoin pump and dumps look like.

But the Bcashers were smart enough to recognize a couple things. For one, they know that the circulating/trading supply of BTC (and therefore BCH) is very low; most people aren't going to touch their BCH cold storage to dump it. For another thing, they recognize how thin the markets are/how little it takes to pump them, and also how the market fixates on no-fee exchanges  like Bithumb.

Looking at the chart and the fundamentals right now -- Bitmex to dump customer BCH/Coinbase to release customer BCH -- I'm expecting Bcash to bleed out. But as I indicated above, the attacks will continue. I hate to say it, but when you see bitcoiners celebrating the death of Bcash, it'll probably get pumped again.

I think no altcoin will ever beat BTC in any manner, pionner in the crypto as it is the first coin alive, neither any ALT has become as high as bitcoin has been this last 2 months.

With the amount of developments happening around BTC, I do not think BCH will overtake BTC. Agreed that there's a scaling issue but its being worked out with integration of projects like RSK. Then again BTC will prevail because of the community that it has built and the common philosophy that the community hold. Its not hard to see as the BTC is back over 7K and BCH just over 1K.

It's so sad that bitcoin which is supposed to be the decentralized wave of the future is so centralized in the hands of a few traders and miners. It's the downfalls of centralization without any of the benefits of regulation.

Unless BTC can get some common sense in the house, and learn how to scale properly, Bitcoin Cash has potential to become a market leader in the next decade.

It never happen that last week when I heard the humor about the falling of BTC I realized if is true but another news came the two people use BCH to bridge BTC so 2weeks ago bitcoin decrease the price until 5900 from 7700 and BCH price from 600 up to 1500.In a fews days ago the two person said it is a Scheme to increase BTC faster after the crazy price dump bitcoin from 5900 increase to 6400 to 7800 it just one week BTC price gave us hope to invest more. so bitcoin will never be beat by BCH,

There's no hope to beat the BTC against BCH. Why does the BCH value keep raising? Its because of investors. That was a strategy of investors to make the value of BTC fall down. They invest in BCH to keep it raising to make sure that the BTC will fall and then make investments again to BTC. The main purpose of strategy is to buy BTC in a low price.

That is a hilarious joke for me. They can try and manipulate it's pump many times as they want to attract other investor's but it will surely just go down in history.  They will not make loyal to bitcoin change sides that easily.

In terms of technical aspects they were knows that bitcoin cash is very advance compare to bitcoin, however in popularity and supporters BTC is much higher numbers compared to BCH.

BCash has a different use case and far far less development. It's got some rich people pushing it for sure.. with extremely obvious manipulation, and I think it will stay around in some form, but it is another alt coin and will remain inferior and less valuable than the real Bitcoin.

What you have to remember is that it does not offer censorship resistance.. with larger blocks and more centralized mining power.. it's easier to shut it down or manipulate it - and because of that - people won't want to use it as a store of wealth - because they don't want their wealth to be taken away by a bad actor. BCash by it's own admission isn't even trying to be a store of wealth.

BCash is trying to be cash.. but who trusts cash controlled by Chinese mining pools - which are under the control of the Chinese government? Better to have US fiat which let's face it is mostly digital anyway and has the backing the the US govt at least - better than Jihan and Ver! Also - cash needs to be stable to be used as a currency - so it's not as good a speculative investment if it were to succeed as cash (which I don't think it will) because it would stay around the same value. I think it's more likely to remain a speculative vehicle and be manipulated but remain with some value - may go up (certainly with pump and dumps to scam newbs and weak hands) but real Bitcoin is a much better long term investment with solid fundamentals.

There are so many speculations around the coin and they claim that they have bigger blocks and lower fees than bitcoin which should be an advantage given that some people refuse to send bitcoin because of high fees but then bitcoin cash has far more problems because it has no proper developers and it is largely supported by rich people that's why they can easily inflate the market and dump it to the people who aren't aware of the situation.

I think bitcoin cash is just an altcoin and can not be a competitor of bitcoin. In my opinion, bitcoin is the most reliable cryptocurrency of the cryptocurrency world.

The only way I see an alt garnering enough attention to surpass BTC is if a major player like Amazon or FB create their own mineable currency.  For the record I expect Amazon to do just that, reserving a block for Prime members and Twitch stars as incentives.  It would basically be like minting free money to capture the rest of the users in their target markets that aren't already on Prime by leveraging the fear of missing out.

I know that bitcoincash rise its price rapidly and beat the other altcoins. we do not know how long will it take and when it will last. I am totally contented with my bitcoins. There is no possibility that the winner will turn out to be Bitcoin Cash. Bitcoin is the champion and Bitcoin Cash is just a lowly challenger whose talent, strength, skills, techniques and strategies, and everything are coming from Bitcoin itself. That is the pure truth about the scenario. The fact is that, everything there is in the existence of Bitcoin Cash is owed to Bitcoin, and now it seems that this offshoot and copy of Bitcoin is challenging its original master.

I read an article - I don;t remember where - that said BTH was China's invention to take advantage of its mining capabilities at the expense of BTC, and helped make BTC much slower. Whether that's true or not, BTC does need to find a way to get more efficient.

Each bitcoin user is not naturally a BCH user and I really do not get why you would have to say that. I dumped my BCH and so many other people did when it came into the market except recently when we all saw the sudden manipulations and unfortunately so many traders fell for it.

I think for smaller transactions bitcoin cash has the advatntage. Unless that gets fixed then maybe bitcoin will have a chance. Right now we are having more problems with delayed transactions as I am sure you all know and the fees are much too high and low fees use to be something bitcoin bragged about but now cannot. I agree with most of you guys that BTC will remain the most valuable from those two coins. However, after BCH appeared on Coinbase I am not so critical about BCH future. Please remember that many people who use Coinbase are fresh on the market. If they see two coins called Bitcoin and one is cheaper than the other.... math is being simple. I think that BCH just become much harder fighter on the market. Potentially a lot of new capital will flow to BCH thanks to Coinbase.

Bitcoin cash still came from bitcoin, I don't think that it will beat bitcoin anytime sooner. Maybe it will reach some of the milestones that bitcoin had, but I simply do not know how bitcoin cash will surpass what bitcoin has already went through. Bitcoin allready made its name and is already know and used widely now, recognize by most, unlike bitcoin cash which is not even a year old.

As much as I don't like bitcoin cash i have to say that you are wrong. It doesn't matter if it's first coin or how much does it worth, all what matters now is speed of transactions and transaction fees, and bitcoin failed in both. I just hope lightning network will solve everything  :-\

I am not sure about that but I highly doubt that's gonna happen, Bitcoin is always gonna stay on top because even if Bitcoin cash price rises I don't its gonna make it in the long run. I think its best thing to not compare any coin with Bitcoin because its lot easier in my opinion. I personally want Bitcoin to stay in top and hopefully nothing replaces it.

But they opened it suddenly and the price of BCH has been skyrocketing in the days leading up to the announcement.
