I'm Ed, from Salarium.

Salarium is a payroll and e-banking platform that already provides services to hundreds of companies, and over 10,000 employees. Most of these employees already use SALPay, our debit MasterCard paired with an e-wallet. We provide banking services to Filipinos that no other banks can.

Most of our customers (about 50%) are BPOs, so they receive their money from countries abroad. Filipinos get paid twice a month, so the costs of sending the money every 2 weeks through traditional banking are incredibly costly. Not to mention that, once they get their money in the Philippines, they will have to transfer it into our e-wallet ecosystem to pay their employees!

I was asked yesterday if what is my motivation in buying Sal Tokens. If this is for investment or (i forgot the other one)  But i guess it is something to do with the remittances etc. But for me, I would like to try this as an investment. Honestly, i didn't try cryptocurrency yet but i have a background with other investment types here in the Philipppines. What are the benefits of using Sal instead of LTC or some other token ? Assuming that there are BTC ATM's in the country ? It seems that there will be volatility in SAL just like there is with BTC. Possibly even more since it is a low valued token

Thanks for your questions! The concept of SALPay and the Exchange Network could theoretically be applied with other cryptocurrencies, but the problem in the Philippines and many other countries is that these cryptocurrencies lack liquidity and a network to actually exist.

 Our goal is to create exchanges in several countries (see the roadmap on our whitepaper), as well as in other major exchanges, and we are aiming to keep our fees at 1% or less for the fiat to fiat conversion.

 Regarding the business accounts, you're correct. We have an existing business that caters to other businesses and then to their employees, but we have plans to offer our services directly to consumers next year.

Remittences are probably the only proven application of btc that is of real use, except for black markets and sepculations. I like what crypto can do for these people. How do you manage to hedge the price while remittances are sent?

 I think there are more applications for blockchain technology, and we're slowly going to see many of them.
 Regarding the remittance spread, we will simultaneously will sell the SALs and buy them with different currencies in both exchanges, therefore controlling that the spread is minimum. So, for users, they will just buy PHP with USD (or whatever other currency). SALPay Tokens will only be the conduit.

 That's how we will manage to make this faster AND cheaper.

How do you plan to remove the volatility from the token ? People that are outsourced workers living in the Philippines will not want to have fluctuating value of their paycheck between the time being paid and the time when it is spent.

 Regarding the question about volatility, we will execute an automatic buy-and-sell of the tokens, which will remove all volatility in a per-transaction basis. Regarding the contributions and the value of the token, I have to say that we see this as a utility token, and the value will fluctuate in long term depending mainly on the volume needed to transact, cased on the supply and demand. Volatility is a two way street; we see SALs as a HODL Token.

Yes, maybe because of that they listed in Bitafex exchange and Sal pay is based payroll activity for generating pay slip and remittance. They raised enough money for developing the product and make the partnership with the companies by giving their software.

Yes, after completion of the ICO, they gave updates on their progress but more than 1 month till now, they didn't update the community about their progress. Many small projects are doing the same thing after raising the money they won't bother community and listing the coin in the exchanges.

I am still holding the SALPAY tokens i got from the bounty and i made a big mistake holding this one since this project is good as dead without developer communications. before they are sending newsletter on regular basis right now everything stop.
