It's not difficult if you have done research. You must keep up to date with news on Bitcoin and Altcoins.
Keep reading on news, on a daily basis.
Watch the different patterns that each coin has on different exchange pages or on coinmarketcap.
It's the little details that help you make a good investment and most importantly a profitable one.

If he is newbie maybe he haven't so much money to invest in bitcoin and ethereum. First of all read bitcointalk, check topics about ICOs, how to recognize good one.

Not many ICO that require attention. Invest money in Neo, Waves, Ethereum. Y must choose ICO very carefully and be prepared for the fact that the price of coins after ICO falls down. I do not know why, but it's a fact. Special coins only grow after ICO.

You can create free portfolio at:  http://www.coinparator.com/

Add coins to your portfolio, that you would like to buy.

Don't do nothing for about 1 - 2 weeks. Watch trends. It should give you enough time to get perspective over the coins and movements in crypto market. And also you should sober up from "getting rich quick by investing all my money into XYZ coin".

Once you're ready, buy what you believe is the best investment.  8)

Don't go into crypto straight with money, just test it first.

Yes it is really difficulty to newbies to choose the right kind of crypto currency especially if they have only limited knowledge about it. I suggest that you invest first on what we called "Blue Chip Coins". Tese are the coins that are stable now in value and has strong developer backgrounds. Start to invest on your self also. Learn how it works by reading and studying everything about crypto currency.

Never in my life did anything valuable fall on my head as a gift. We need to learn, make mistakes, correct them, lose money, get experience. If it's easy to become rich, then why do not we have all the millionaires?
I invest in ICO. But I'm studying their whitepaper. I do not choose a company with very large capitalization. I think the inflated cost at the beginning is bad to generate income.

Start low. Just put in money that you are willing to loose. Do not get carried away. I am telling you this from experience. A lot of noobs loose about 60-70% of their capital because they get greedy and keep pouring in more money. Be careful and learn TA.

Choosing a coin to invest in is easy, but choosing a good one is hard. You must do good research, by visiting sites like Cryptocoin news and Cointelegraph that offer up to date information about all types of coins.
Check forums like this one, and check the coinmarketcap too.

Newbie on bitcointalk or newbie in crypto market is different. If you are newbie in crypto market, than you should not invest in crypto currency without experience. For experience first perform virtual trading and after one to two months, you may invest.

Funny, but even seriously, this one seems to be not a bad strategy:
Start with the stable coins like bitcoin and ethereum. Then start to put small amounts into other alts so you will engage in them. Soon you will be crypto master and lose all your money in a shitty ICO. Welcome to the game
Just make sure you don't buy until you are somewhat sure or and always remember to do your own research before all, read analytical reports, news, and so on in order to actually stay in the game, get more and more experienced over time, and finally, be successful in the game.

Being a newbie means learning so much is on the way. Before winning constantly, we need to experience losses and mistakes. Need to gather more experience so that we can teach the "new" newbies. Which leads me to the point thatif you are experiencing confusion on investing, just ask the experts from that field. Just because they already undergo all of that.

If you were looking for the right moment... well that was it (c) captain Jack Sparrow. In fact what you are telling is following: I do not know where to invest. Then do not invest. Take your time reading this forum. Play with fantasy tokens. Do not be specific at lest. Roll the question in the head.
Well I want to invest in crypto. I feel that it can be possibly beneficial for me. I want to be rich in short time that's why I want to choose altocoin that can 100x in value and then again and then again. Ooops that is not realistic. But I still want to invest in crypto - it is interesting. I will just buy something, something which will let me in and not ruin my hundredbucks. Then it must be something for sure, something stable, something... well why do not I go to the forum, make a threat and address this question? Oh-ho 98% Legendary members suggested me to buy BTC...

Something like this. If you do not have your own decision - you can not take the right decision. But with time and with threads like this you will have it. For sure.

If you want to invest in any ICO being a newbie that is really a bad choice for the people who invested on it. Even don't concentrate the best ICO in the market as well.

Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin is the best coin for investment.
The main reason for this coin's appeal to investors is the volatility.
So volatility is the main feature on each coin.
That volatility can make bitcoin an attractive area for investment, especially in times when other currencies have their movements flattened.

But today, it looks like its a good time to invest o altcoins like ETH, ETC and LTC. The last 2 coins I've mentioned is currently red, so its a good buying point. Goodluck on your journey mate.

Yeah it is really difficult, and even us we do struggles on finding legit ICO's in the first place. Research is the only thing that might help you, it is necessary to know everything about their project and the team, and also ask someone before making decisions. Practice yourself finding good projects then consult to those who has more experience to see if your doing well. And always think multiple times, because once you do it, you can't bring it back.

Being new in the crypto world it's really hard to choose which crypto currency can give you high profit. Bitcoin is the most popular and much better among the currencies that's why it has the highest price. But investing on it is not easy, you should learned and study first how it works and when is the right time. There were also many existing altcoins, do some research which is next to bitcoin that can also give good profits.

Yes it is really difficult to find the right crypto-currency, not to mention the ICO, but my advice is to invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum and Zcash. For thoughtful investing, you need to understand how technologies are working, understand how market is functioning, and experience will come with that.
XZC is indeed very promising, hybrid anonymous encryption technology is very advanced.
Today binance also added XZC / BTC trading options, also showed the recognition of XZC technology.
I hold hundreds of XZC, the goal is XZC price reached 100 dollars, I believe it can be achieved.

Always start with blue chips to avoid sudden shock in your portfolio that would just crip away your capital, and then take your time to further research this cryptoworld to at least get well known on potential/hype projects that was still going on development, testing the water is a good way to understand how things move in the market, you would soon realize that the up and downs are just so quick for you to coupe andddd that's when you would start making decision and strategy that works best to you, resist temptation to invest ICOs right after some hype and news on it, everyday is opportunity for you to make thousands so it's really not difficult if you have to right channel to gather and process information.

The same could be said of picking stocks.

And the least we can do is also to trust our coin that we're holding. If we don't have any trust to it then we may tend to panic sell and in the end loss it.
Therefore, there's no assurance in every coin that we have and it's a win or lose situation.

It is simple - you need to understand the topic in which you are investing. Understand in very simple terms. New coin... good...why? New protocol, something called, for example DAG. But you do not like the math and cannot read their whitepaper without yawning. Then it is not for you. I would remember one thing only - there are no good endings to the unpleasant journeys. That's all. Even if you loose money on the project which you were sincerely interested in it is ok, since you investing only what you can loose. But it makes no sense to put money into something you do not like and understand. If you understand the aim of the project - doesn't matter wherever on Telegramm or somewhere else you will be able to ask reasonable questions.

Best advice is to keep researching, yes!

If you feel you cannot make up you mind in choosing one altcoin, best bet will to go for Bitcoin and Hodl for long term.

Everyone here was once a newbie.  All of the answers to your questions and concerns can be found on this forum.  Just use the search functions and also do your own research on the projects you like.  Key thing to do is research the team to see if they are qualified to do what they say they will do.

Just do research before investing. Do not dive into the investing or you will lose lose lose.

Get advice from a higher ranked member, go on websites that talk about crypto, read news, join telegram groups and visit altcoin and bitcoin pages, also check out new ICOs.

Once you get the basics of those then get someone experienced in crypto to help you invest in a cryptocurrency.

Start with the stable coins like bitcoin and ethereum. Then start to put small amounts into other alts so you will engage in them. Soon you will be crypto master and lose all your money in a shitty ICO. Welcome to the game

Sounds great lol, where do I sign up?

So we need this forum, which helps people exchange knowledge as well as investment experiences. In addition, the forum is also a place to get access to new currencies, the latest news from the trading floor as well as the potential ICO. So, for newbies, they need to stay in the forum until they are sure they understand the money they are about to invest. This is necessary for those who want to get rich from Bitcoin

Read articles or research about the current price and its stability. And then decide. Its too risky to invest or trade without knowledge. It's a gambling without chances of winning. NOTE: Beware of scams. Also read their experiences to learn techniques.

Investing their money in bitcoin and its analogues, you need to understand what is at risk, but learn how to work with the currency you are only after many mistakes that they themselves make.

Diversify risks! I would advise you to invest most of the money in bitcoin and ethereum. 30-40% of your portfolio to spend on such altcoyins as stratis, waves. Good luck!
If it's like that means we have to more carefully to decide whether want to invest where in bitcoin, etherreum or any other coin coins in accordance with the money we have

If the newbie is given a longterm investment I doubt he will be patient.
should both be done simultaneously short term and longterm.
at least he will not be willing and feel the benefits.
just a suggestion and that requires consideration.

It is really difficult to choose the right kind of electronic money to invest. Too difficult for newbies.
for beginners who want to invest, better invest in Bitcoin because investing in Bitcoin is a very small risk, if investing in altcoin I think the risk is too great due to the erratic altcoin movement.

Hello, I spent about 3 months studying the general concepts of crypto currency, only after that I began to understand a little.
First I looked at the top 10 crypts, then started to descend below, those that cost little, because their potential is much higher.
The main tenacity, however as everywhere, and everything will turn out, good luck !!!

Try to gather more information about cryptoworld. Be curious enough to know how the systems work. Afterwards, invest small with the most established or atleast stable coin and then try to make it grow. I know that's not that simple because personally, I too, am not that pro in this field, but try not to rush everything. Just take your time.

Start low. Just put in money that you are willing to loose. Do not get carried away. I am telling you this from experience. A lot of noobs loose about 60-70% of their capital because they get greedy and keep pouring in more money. Be careful and learn TA.
Best advice that you could ever give to a newbie.
