Link to informative thread with information about using a bitcoinalk escrow service and list of bitcointalk escrows by Financisto here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=276897.0).

Please contact any of the above recommended escrows before conducting any business on bitcointalk.

This forum and the crypto world in general is full of scammers, using an escrow will help greatly against being scammed but not guarantee it.

Use common sense and due diligence and ask an established member if you're in any doubt. We're all here to help believe it or not ;D.

*I've compiled this list to help forum users. At the time of last update these are all trusted forum escrows. If any escrow on this goes rogue and scams I'm not responsible in any way, shape or form.  I do not know any of them personally only through the bitcointalk forum. If in any doubt about one of the escrows please contact me or any of the other escrows on the list.

If anyone can recommend updates or corrections please send me a private message :).

Theres literally a thread in the services that someone could find that has it, not the top 5 escrow thread that is really old. But one that is maybe a year old that was made by zepher? listing him, TMAN, lauda and some others as escrows if my memory serves me correctly

There was never any spat between myself and TMAN.  There was only TMAN attacking me until he was banned.  That should be obvious to any impartial observer.

I like to use Zepher, MJ & Lauda as they are more current than some of the older guys..

IE - OG nasty and his refusal to use Multi Sig is a disgrace in this fast paced technology.

Also they offer Alt coin Escrow as well.. we all know how much of a killer fees are at the moment and between the 3 of the above they have held close to $250K of my bitcoins and physicals over the last 18 months.

philipma1957  & SebastianJu -I haven't dealt with personally but have had nothing but good things about..

I think he means lesser known..look at the trust and positive feedbacks..those are their reputations on forum

you have no real trades, members will of needed to of traded for tens if not hundreds of thousands of $ on the forum before people are comfortable even thinking of allowing the member to escrow a deal.
in cold hard facts you have 0 trade rep here so why would anyone trust you with funds?

Please add also their minimum fee for their escrow service and also the timezone where they are active here in the forum, This might really help in choosing the best escrow fitted to the deal. I already try the service of MJ and it is amazing.  ;D

Is Blazed doing escrow currently? It says on the CET thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1938190.msg19245514#msg19245514) that he is on leave.

Correct. He is on leave for now.

I think he just says that to keep random newbies from messaging him, but I guess that's a reason why he wouldn't want to be on this list either.  :)

Are you asking to be an escrow from US / Canada?

or

Requesting an escrow that is US / Canada based?

Either way you would have a better time messaging the escrows listed.

I have changed from 1% to 2% fee

I also charge 0.002 btc on every deal for tx fees  but I make every effort to spend less then that and I refund  what I did not spend in an alt coin such as LTC
I don't like having to do this but I have had tx fees jump very high while holding the coins on deals and then had to spend hours trying to push the transaction.

Thanks for including me on the recommended escrow list hedgy73, and also to the users who have given me a shout out here in their posts. Appreciate it!

One thing I would just like to make people aware of is my minimum/maximum fee. My minimum fee is 0.002BTC for small transactions (0.2BTC or less), and then a fixed 1% for anything higher than that.

I have a capped fee of 0.025BTC per transaction. Therefore should you require escrow for 3BTC for example, the escrow fee will still only be 0.025BTC - never more.

I'm not willing to escrow any types of account sales, that is final and not up for debate. Please don't PM me asking for such a service, I'll likely not even reply.

Multisig is available as well with another member listed here.

I'll be making an escrow thread sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Hi Zepher thanks for the info I have updated your details.

Please let me know when you've done your escrow thread and I'll add it on :).

Just a headsup, currently my minimum fee is 0.006b or 1% (whatever is higher) + tx fee. I escrow btc and altcoins on request basis. ICO's are fine on request basis and evaluation. I secure with bitcoin signatures signed with a very old address of mine.

Just ask if I can escrow something.

Can I be added to the escrow list?

Official Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2221107.0

Fee: 1.25%

Cryptocurrencies: Ether

Location: Asia

Escrow history: 4 transactions, 2.83 Eth in total.

I secure escrow transactions using the Dapp EscrowMyEther (http://escrowmyether.com/), using Ether as currency. The ethereum smart contract securely hold buyer's funds while in escrow. Escrow agents only have the ability to refund the buyer or release funds to seller. They can never access the funds for an extra layer of security.

By using the Dapp, buyers can initiate the escrow transaction and sellers can view incoming transactions on dashboard immediately without several messages with the escrow, saving both parties time. (especially for small amounts) Buyers can also release funds themselves in the Dapp.

Slightly off topic, I was going to suggest this thread be listed on the [Overview] The one thread to link them all https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1217042.0 thread, but I see shorena (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=181801) has both locked the thread and has been offline for six weeks.

Does anyone know if they will be back soon?  Should an interim new "One Thread to link them all" style thread be started for changing threads?

I would remove Lauda and minerjones from this list. They were both escrow for a deal that went bad, in which funds were lost, and lauda had announced (http://archive.is/yDC3k#selection-1645.0-1600.10) the escrow agents were going to impose the losses on those they were supposed to be protecting against losses -- this very much defeats the point of using escrow.

You fail to mention the part where Lauda and minerjones, with the help of Gleb and maybe others recovered all funds and paid it back to the investors Here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1778405.0). AFAIK they even waived their fees even after all the extra work that got added. So please, stop spreading that about some of the most honest/professional escrows out there.

That is not the point. Lauda and minerjones (along with yahoonumbers) screwed up, and said they were going to impose losses as a result. The whole point of using escrow is to not allow losses resulting from someone absconding with funds.

Also, they did charge a fee, see this (https://blockchain.info/tx/32f10a88d5362c161f07d1b0df56ffbfee6902b9730d8ceab2e223c70cd094df) transaction, each of them "earned" around $215.

I am curious to know if anyone would be willing to use a particular escrow service if they knew there is a possibility a scammer would run away with funds, and the escrow agent would not cover losses when they failed to properly secure the money.

There is always a fair possibility that the escrow will attempt to fuck over their customers for personal gain, as shown by yourself and Master-P. I would hope that anyone using an escrow acknowledges this.

LOL, LAUDA... you have other problems? You've robbed many people. You are a fucking scammer . You are using a stolen account and now do you advise others.

This "Escrow scammer" has robbed me off - funds that I need myself - funds that will be hard to replace . My intuitions is just telling me this is a different kind of scammer - yes I do believe his one - but a very slick, sly, cunniving, and manipulative clever and smart. The very first time when he asked me for funds - he asked me to send it straight by bank transfer, ( 2500 USD) then another 0.3 BTC...0.6 BTC... I am very angry !
Seller of service completes work ? Scam ! Deposit address....Escrow..all is scam !

He is just no ordinary "niagerian" scammer!

For more information, send me a PM.

BTW: DO NOT send anything to this user. Possibly stolen/hacked account ! See reference for details. All feedback is red for the last 8 months !

LAUDA- more than 100 red negative feedback = https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=101872

I think 0% of escrow fee are suited for new escrow which is only building a trust for their accounts their services was free but if they already have more trust i think in the future it will impose fee for every successful transaction to be made like what morr trusted escrow do before.

I'd be very cautious of someone trying to get you to use their escrow service with a 0 fee.  Transaction fees alone for decent confirmation times can be as much as 0.0017 BTC currently.  I'd question the motivations of anyone who was willing to lose money for the chance to hold your coins.

There is literally no need for any kind of "new escrows" (unless you want another exit scam like we've seen in the past) let alone 0% fee.

Transaction fees alone for decent confirmation times can be as much as 0.0017 BTC currently.
I'd assume that transaction fee costs are assumed to be covered by the buyer/seller even when there is a 0% fee, but:

I'd be very cautious of someone trying to get you to use their escrow service with a 0 fee.
I fully concur with this. Someone would have to be out of their mind to take such a huge risk(s) for free or ill intended.

I'm working on a potential purchase with another forum member who is requesting SebastianJu as escrow provider.. any highly trusted forum members here with any feedback on SebastianJu?

I've worked with SebastianJu on many projects together using multisig, and sometimes regular addresses. We sometimes do direct deals too. My most recent escrow transaction with two traders was a batch of 10 GPUs. The highest amount I've held was about $6m USD worth of an altcoin, but that's a little misleading as it was at the peak of crypto before the "great crash of January 2018", so it's now worth only $2m USD.

Feel free to add me to this list, my details are the same as on Financisto's thread. I'm not increasing my fees just yet, but I don't mind being last in the list so I've also set a minimum fee of 0.03 BTC (or equivalent in alts).

Thank you and have a nice day!

This forum and the crypto world in general is full of scammers, using an escrow will help greatly against being scammed but not guarantee it.

Use common sense and due diligence and ask an established member if you're in any doubt. We're all here to help believe it or not ;D.

If anyone can recommend updates or corrections please send me a private message or comment :).

Those are not bitcoin talk escrow services, so your inquiry seems off topic to the thread, no?  Can you provide links?  or maybe since you are already off-topic and a newbie, you are merely trolling (or shilling) anyhow, right?

Yes, I was wondering about that as well. Makes perfect sense for sellers to carefully document the shipping process in case a buyer turns out to be a clever scammer by invoking the goods-never-received defense. Or by saying rocks were in the box or switching the seller's delivered goods with fake ones.

Video-documenting the packing, dispatch and shipping process is an important part of the selling process. Scammers will always find ways to cheat.

As for the faulty-goods excuse, I'm not sure what precautions sellers can take. Tricky situation.

To be honest I haven't heard of many disputes when escrow is used. I think common sense is key when buying or selling.

Rule of thumb is if anyone selling on here refuses to use one of the escrows in my list its probably a scam.

You will often see excuses like "I've been scammed by escrow before" or "I don't trust them" or "what's an escrow" or "how does escrow work".

These are common distraction excuses to avoid an escrow being involved.

Another scam is sellers directing you to a fake escrow. Always take your time dont be rushed into sending funds and always check with the escrow involved through their forum profile that you're dealing with the right person.

If in doubt ask me or any other reputable member or comment on the for sale thread.

Stay safe and remember if its too good to be true it usually is and refusal to use forum escrow is nearly always a scam unless they are sending first of course.

Base on his previous trust history and the time line of when he get his trust feedback. I can say that he can possibly meet the criteria of being a truly trusted person. But escrow needs a good knowledge on decision making if ever some  bad situation happened between the two user involved. Hmmmm. I think he can be a trusted escrow by judging on his post activity since he was always been involved in trading here.  ;)

Thanks for the feedback guys.

A few things to note:

-I have hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of sales from bittawmart with never using escrow
-I have been involved with community funded transactions, where I held close to 1 million dollars of the community's funds for a single purchase of hundreds of machines

Would love to be added to the list. I have many legendarys (and not legendarys for that matter) who would personally vouch for me

Cheers

People don't forget about multisig, if you use multisig when trading here on BCT you don't have to rely on escrow guys being online. Not to mention saving on escrow fee's and tip's.

Here is a great client-side javascript app called 2crow (http://2crow.org) which will help anyone trading accomplish this. It also works offline and is of course open source (https://github.com/funkshelper/2crow).

Thank you, i already have seen this site but then i tought.. what if the buyer take a screenshot/copy of the digital thing and then request the refund while not releasing the payment? So i decided to not join this site also if many people has a nice experience with it.. but with digital goods i'm not really sure..

I can vouch for Hhampuz from actual BTC experience and he's definitely trustworthy. I've not used Krog's services yet, but I have known him quite a while and believe him to be just as trustworthy as anybody else on this list.

Is Yogg (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=140827) on here yet??  If not he should be, he acts as my EU escrow for my sales thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5053145.msg47035217#msg47035217).

Here is his escrow thread... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2460025

Thanks Hedgy!  :D

Hi!

What are the eligibility criteria for this list?

I'm providing an escrow service for Russain/Ukrainian part of the forum. Here is my thread:

Also I have another one at the biggest crypto-forum of CIS (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commonwealth_of_Independent_States):

- https://forum.bits.media/index.php?/topic/82054-%D1%83%D1%81%D0%BB%D1%83%D0%B3%D0%B8-%D0%B3%D0%B0%D1%80%D0%B0%D0%BD%D1%82%D0%B0-escrow-%D0%BE%D1%82-thefuzzstone/

And third thread:

The total amount of deals at the moment 2.93 BTC and 7.5 ETH.

For now I'm the only Russian/Ukrainian speaking escrow which offers to make a deal using multisig for BTC and also for ETH (I made two manuals for newbies Electrum multisig (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3308541) and GNOSIS multisig (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5045068)).

Thanks!

I've not used his services, but I do know he is very active in the Russian XMR community and is one of the founders of https://xmr.ru , a very popular and well-made Russian Monero forum/site.

I've also conversed with him several times over the years on some XMR issues and he's helped me out on a few technical issues here and there.

I don't know, but I think it's good to have escrows from all over - God knows I've needed one here or there for different reasons when others are not available, especially for different regions. :)

I asked @btcsec to leave simply and honest feedback about me and I'm really thankful for his reply.

Also I asked xandry (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=382413) and Xal0lex (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1068464). Xal0lex is not so long at this forum, so we are not very familiar. xandry -- we had a few private conversations in the past. Once he helped me with a scammer who pretended to be me (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4465687.msg40498268#msg40498268), so he know about my service.

More feedbacks about me anyone can ask:

  • https://t.me/XMR_RU  -- the biggest local Monero community. There are a lot of people in chat who are fluent in English, so there is no need to use a translator from English to Russian
  • https://t.me/cryptoUkraine  -- crypto-enthusiasts from Ukraine, they know me. In April 2017 I helped restore funds to one of the chat administrators (26.90 XMR), he gave me a mnemonic phrase
  • http://blockchainconf.org/ and http://kyiv.blockchainforum.com  -- helped in organizing offline crypto-events in Kyiv (the capital of Ukraine)
  • https://forklog.com/  -- worked a little together in 2015
  • LiveCoin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=462136)  -- several times worked together

Can you remove this member from your list?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=101872

Why?

Probably because the user seems to be a bully. And he has butthurt this person before.
Personally I do not think the user should be trusted with money provided the fact that the user has extorted people before.

Assuming all this just by reading user's trust history at a glance. Plus there's that question whether he is a he or if she is a she or somewhere in between.

Not suggesting that gender plays a part in determining people's trustworthiness - but just saying that if a user can't trust this community with their gender why should they be "trusted" ??

How about you mind your own business? Butthurt alts got no say in this.

It's none of your business and attacking me like this (again, with random alts) ain't doing you any favors.

New Escrow service available on Bitcointalk or Discord with Dream:

https://discord.gg/DN9EXfC
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5116510.0

(EDIT - Updated)
As you can see in my Bitcointalk profile, I am a reputable member with 9 or so positive trust reviews from deals/trades i've done here, some with escrow and some without. And I have 0 negative reviews.

On discord, I have done 2 escrow deals using Dream's escrow service so far and it has been a positive experience. The fees seem pretty low too compared to what I seem to remember paying using the regular Bitcointalk escrow guys.

Highly recommended and the popularity of Dream's escrow service on discord has been growing!

Hmm, IDK - Not sure I like off-site escrowing.  Makes it almost impossible to police.  Anyone going there has no recourse here as the OP of that thread isn't the one running the Discord Channel.

It's mostly because automated services don't check the trades that are going to happen the same way a person would do. An escrow can identify possible risks, try to avoid them upfront and warn the traders against risks that the escrow can't protect against. It's the time and thoughts taken into the deal that makes a difference.

It is difficult to gauge the risk of using a company escrow service because anyone can create a website with fake reputation. There are probably 2-3 legitimate escrow companies and many more scams. There is also a bit of a bias towards themselves among those who make these lists.

Unless you are using LBC to engage in a fiat <—> BTC (or altcoin) trade, I would avoid nearly all escrow companies.

Good day, whenever you get a chance you can add Darkstar_  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=507936)to the list. Saves me adding him in as an addition when I direct people here for an escrow list. Here is the [ANN] (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2724325.msg27877712#msg27877712) for his service.

Thanks for continuing to maintain the list.

~snip~
I've gotten a few requests to escrow from people, so I figured I'd make an announcement thread for clarity and to help more people if needed, as I have a bit more free time now.
My fee for escrowing will be 0.0005BTC, or 0.7% of the transaction (whichever is greater). The transaction fee will also be paid by a party involved with the transaction, and is not included in my fee.

Funds will be held in a P2SH nested SegWit address, allowing for lower transaction fees than 'traditional' addresses.

I can directly hold any coin supported by TREZOR (https://doc.satoshilabs.com/trezor-faq/overview.html), the hardware wallet I will use when escrowing for security as well as Byteball. I *may* be willing to hold other coins for your trade, but it will vary. Please PM me for more info.

I will deal with almost any trade, as long as it is legal. I will not handle physical trades, or bitcointalk account sales. (subject to change)

The only people that are going to contact YOU are probably scammers trying take your money out from under you.

That's to prevent abuse since you're a newbie account.. I know, it kind of sucks, but i'm pretty sure you can circumvent it by buying a copper membership. - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104.msg24371150#msg24371150

The only people that are going to contact YOU are probably scammers trying take your money out from under you.
Some more escrowers in this thread; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5047302.0

true. but some of them do not do escrow for Digital goods. and forum is digital goods. this is why i do not know which to contact for this. i so need help please.

I think most of them also escrow e-goods, and if they don't, well i guess it doesn't hurt to ask.

also anytime i try to send a PM i get this error below

An Error Has Occurred!
The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago. Please try again later. The thing you were trying to post was saved as a draft. This limit decreases substantially as your account becomes more established.
That's to prevent abuse since you're a newbie account.. I know, it kind of sucks, but i'm pretty sure you can circumvent it by buying a copper membership. - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104.msg24371150#msg24371150
(If you're only here for a one-time escrow i don't recommend you buy it though! it doesn't have that many features besides reducing the PM limit from 360 to 90 seconds.)

I think sebastian escrows digital goods? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1102721

Yes, I do trades like that. I will send you a pm HelpMePleaseIbegofYou.

Edit: I would like to add, never let yourself push around by a buyer claiming that you only have few time and need to act fast. This is often used to push a seller into FOMO so he makes errors. Most common is unfortunately that the buyer has not enough time anymore and it's done without escrow. With clear results since it was planned like that from the start.

Not saying it is the case her, just being cautious of trading partners that are in a hurry. It's not worth it being pushed around. The risk-reward is bad there.

+1 for Minerjones

I echo MinerJones and Zepher as they’re two users I’ve had multiple dealings with and highly value/trust!

Updating my personal list here to add-Lauda, Krogomanhatten, Hhampuz, & OG Nasty. Can’t go wrong with any of them.

Does anyone have any objections to me adding DarkStar_ to the list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=507936

He's asked and if no objections will add in a few days.

None here I posted here a few months back to get Darkstar_  added. I doubt you'll hear any objections either considering they have been entrusted with one of the positions on the forums multisig wallet (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=155000.0).

The CET (crypto escrow team) is no longer escrowing (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1938190.msg19245514#msg19245514). Lauda's thread also leads there.

minerjones still has an active thread: here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1833742).

You can post in their official topics for the escrows in the OP. If they are still active they will be monitoring their threads. To make it easier explain what you are buying and the coin being used for the purchase.

nobody will likely escrow paypal/btc trades - chargebacks can occur rendering escrow worthless. Word to the wise, find another way to buy BTC.

Escrow might help you a successful trade between numbers of users here, but he can't control the funds once the paypal owner do a chargeback after some time (after 180 days to be exact). That's why most people here are very skeptical of using escrow for a PayPal trade from a brandnew/newbie users.

Not unless if paypal holder will send first to reputed users (a must) that will consider trading with you or/and the btc/crypto holder will have a higher % rate to paypal exchange  (eg. $100 PP to $80 btc).

I believe everyone on this list operate manually at their own time. So transactions can take a few hours, or even a day. But if the deal or contract between the two traders has been set, they only need to verify the transaction on the escrow address through any block explorer. The escrow will eventually release the coins if the deal is otherwise good.

I think you will be out of newbie status soon, maybe this Tuesday? :P

I believe everyone on this list operate manually at their own time. So transactions can take a few hours, or even a day.
If this list had included an escrows from local parts of the forum, then maybe the situation would be better for the entire community.

I wrote to the esteemed @hedgy73 several times, but I was rejected in response because "I dont have enough forum trust to be on the list".

When I gave him information about myself (11 December 2018), who I am, how many time I'm in the crypto community, and what I do), his answer was: "I can only go on what I see on the forum." -- I can assume he doesn't give a fuck about the information I gave him, and he didn't even check it out. And it turns out that he's "right" because he is the topic starter. 🤷🏻‍♂️

And the last one thing:

https://i.imgur.com/Zkmihct.png

After that answer, it's understandable that I stopped messaging him, because it would be rude of me, and I also realized that he wouldn't add me to the list because of... <put_a_reason_here>.

And again, there are no criteria (except for the personal and subjective opinion of the author of the topic).

In the past, I was naive and thought that we were all a friendly community here, and we can help each other and of course newcomers in the community so they wouldn't fall into the hands of scammers.

My humble advice to a new escrows -- ignore this list, even though Google loves this topic (https://www.google.com/search?q=bitcointalk+escrow).

Simply offer your services and build your reputation and do not participate in deals involving the selling/buying of forum accounts (LocalBitcoins accounts), because by doing so you're encouraging the spread of spam and potential fraud. (It's my personal belief.)

This post was written without a drop of anger or spite to the author of the topic.
I just expressed my opinion and how personally I see the situation.

Thanks.

Ok I'm not exactly sure why you posted this but here goes.

Just over as year ago you asked me if you could be on the list I said no as you didn't have good enough forum trust. I feel that having good forum trust is very important as its a list of trusted forum escrows.

You then sent me a few messages saying you had some trust on this site and some trust on that site which I said no again and asked you politely to stop messaging me.

Now a year on you make this post when you still dont have any trusted forum feedback and the untrusted feedback you do have is half red.

As I said to you privately a year ago I get lots of requests from people to be on this list but they're not considered because they don't have good enough trust on this forum.

Also at the moment I feel that the list is full of very professional and trusted escrows and so there is no need to add any more people to it.

I hope this explains my reasons to you. Have a great day and good luck at becoming a forum escrow one day.

Ok I'm not exactly sure why you posted this
I just expressed my opinion about this topic and that other escrow does not need to be on the list to do business successfully on the forum.

I said no as you didn't have good enough forum trust.
Okay, let's hear more from this point.  :)

Is there any official list of approved forum administration rules about how many reviews I need to have to get from a list created by someone not related to the forum administration? (do you feel the irony?  :))

Or maybe there are rules that require the circulation of my BTC, ETH and XMR wallets to exceed a certain amount in the fiat in order to get on a list?

I can ask a lot more questions like that, the answer to which is, "No, there are no rules from the administration about this list."

I feel that having good forum trust is very important as its a list of trusted forum escrows.
If you took this topic more seriously, you would at least google information about me (or about the others), who I am, how long I've been in the community, and what I do, etc.

Now a year on you make this post when you still dont have any trusted forum feedback
Trusted feedback from who should I get, lol? You and I are from different parts of the forum? How do you know who is who in the Russian-speaking part of the forum? How can I get feedback from the English-speaking part of the forum if I offer my services to Russian-speaking/Ukrainian-speaking users of this forum?

and the untrusted feedback you do have is half red.
You've been on the forum since 2013, and you're still very naive.  :)
I just looked at your untrusted feedbacks, and surprise(/s), you've got enough red, too. So? Any comments?  :)

I get lots of requests from people to be on this list but they're not considered because they don't have good enough trust on this forum.
I repeat the question, who decides (except you, as the author of the topic) and by what criteria?

Also at the moment I feel that the list is full of very professional and trusted escrows and so there is no need to add any more people to it.
BINGO! 🎉
That's what I wanted to hear from you, so others can see.

Only you, as the author of the topic, decide who is on the list and who isn't. People who have a reputation on this forum (in local parts of the form) can not get here because you do not know who they are and they do not have "enough reputation on the forum".

By the way, when I finished writing the previous paragraph, I understood what you mean about "trusted feedback from trusted forum members". It's very easy to get a "good reputation" from the English-speaking part of the forum, just take a loan from someone (who is popular among the rest of the forum), return the loan + fee (usually it's about 1-2%), and that's it -- you got a review and already "trusted". This scheme always made me smile.  :D

I hope this explains my reasons to you.
No, it's not.  :D
But your answers convinced me of what I was thinking about this list. I' m grateful to you for your answers. (no kidding, no sarcasm)

Have a great day
Thank you! You too!

and good luck at becoming a forum escrow one day.
Why would anyone want luck to be an escrow? (rhetorical question)

For almost two years I have been successfully working as an escrow on Bitcointalk, and on the most popular crypto-forum (https://forum.bits.media/) of the CIS (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commonwealth_of_Independent_States), with 100% positive feedbacks, and you know... I don't need to be listed here -- that's what I wanted to tell the other escrows that you refused to "list".
Yeah, I agree that some % of the people who wrote you probably were scammers, it's pretty easy to check too, but you obviously won't do it because you don't give a fuck (which is fine too).

Hey, i´m an argentinian starting with the bitcoin business, and i have invested in Livestock since i had enought money to be accepted in a scrow, and the meat here is very cheaper everyday due to the crisis and the Coronavirus, and i have all the information and contacts to start a scrow based on argentine Livestock, one that you can pay in Bitcoins and your money will be secure in the international price of cows (i am currently investing in fields from all around the country, most of our meat goes to China and then the UE, and is currently the second most valuable in the market after the USA one), so, my question is, what is the requierement for being aproved as a official scrow and start looking for funding?

I am willing to explain all in detail to whoever is interested, basically you pay Bitcoins now and will recibe cows in the future (i will explain you all your guarantees and risks, and be the nexus between you and the argentine farmer.

Wow. Well... Um.... This is something different than the purpose of this thread I think. Maybe you should post this on services board instead?

This thread is to find a trusted intermediary for a transactions with a potentially untrustworthy party. What you're looking for are forward contracts, I believe, so wrong section, Services, Marketplace or maybe Securities would be a better place to post.

I did some digging and found two comments that would answer your question [to an extent]:
- AFAIK, they don't accept BTCitcoin payments and I prefer not to vouch for their services [DYOR] so you're better off using one of the escrow providers from this forum.

Ebay only endorses one Escrow service, Escrow.com (https://escrow.com). You can read eBay's Escrow Policy here (http://pages.ebay.com/help/pay/escrow.html). They only recommend an escrow service for vehicle pruchases, but it is allowed for any purchase. There are escrow fees, so you won't be able to under-cut credit card and paypal users (Fee Schedule (https://escrow.com/support/calculator.asp) $25 minimum).

~Snipped~
~Snipped~

inb4 escrow.com is shut down and all innocent funds seized because of guilt by association.

Mostly yes, most of them still do escrow. Just shoot a pm to them (my recommendation is either minerjones or SFR10, since both of them are very active)

This topic needs a serious revamp. Some of the users mentioned in OP should be removed, while others should be added.

DarkStar_ should be removed from OP as he is not offering escrow services anymore:

My service is no longer active.

Lutpin should also be removed as I didn't see any topic where he announced that he is offering escrow services.

bittawm's ANN thread is missing from OP; here it is: Bittawms Legendary Escrow Service - 0.9% BTC (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3661826.0). However, the user was banned in the past, according to LoyceV:

He's banned:
    27. Legendary bittawm (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=144811) (Trust: (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=144811) 118: -0 / +13) (45 Merit earned (history (http://loyce.club/Merit/history/144811.html))) (BPIP (https://bpip.org/profile.aspx?p=bittawm))

He was later unbanned (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5145454.msg51145914#msg51145914), but I don't know if an ex-banned user can be considered reliable for acting as escrow.

Other users from OP should be asked if they are willing to offer escrow services anymore. One example is John K., which is mostly inactive for months.

Besides, other reliabe users are offering escrow services and they should be added to OP. Such examples are yogg ([ESCROW] 🌠 yogg's escrow service ⭐ BTC & Alts ⭐ Fast ⭐ Reliable ⭐ Secure 🌠 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2460025.0)) or MoparMiningLLC (offering escrow services (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5154480)).

Just wanted to say that bans can happen quickly on here. I also had a short ban once because of one of the inofficial forum rules that said that I can't create multiple posts one after another in a thread. I wanted to answer everyone properly so that was that. :D

Better use a divider and collect all answers to different users in the same post. Just saying it's easy to get caught in a rule you don't know is worth a ban. Not sure what his ban was about though.

No worries :) But I think it's more important to see if OP will come back online to update the topic, as he is away for more than 1 month... In case he won't come back, maybe another topic should be created, a properly updated one.

That topic mentioned by you is very old (2013) and I had the impression that it is not updated. Now I see it was updated this month. I'll write there my suggestions as well, thanks for the heads-up!

Not sure what his ban was about though.

As far as I see, he was baned for plagiarism, according to Cyrus: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5145454.msg51144345#msg51144345.

Not sure why he would copy a sentence, maybe it was his second account. In any case it's somewhat weird that you get banned for that as a legit and established account that would likely not spam posts for sig campaigns or something.

It's best to write as few as possible on here in order to not violate some hidden rule, it seems. I do not really appreciate that feeling.

yes, it is very easy to get banned - I was banned for a ref link that was for tracking purposes - which Cyrus told me was ok - but another mod decided it was worth banning me for - banned me 3 days for 1 link (first offense) and then upped it to 7 days (because I had 2 total posts with the ref link)

It's not a hidden rule, plagiarism was always a bannable offense. People who pass off other users' posts as their own tend to do it on more than one occasion. Imagine what the mess the forum would be if a lot more users were to spam it with copy-pasted posts, inevitably scaring away worthwhile contributors.

That's for sure, especially since there are tools like XRumer that just would try to farm accounts like that. Or users that want to earn from sig campaigns. However, in that case it feels like the full heavyness of the law fell down for a really small problem. I mean one could say the rules are the same for everyone but the rule came into place for some special cases his post probably didn't fit in.

The worst thing about it is that the forum only has 2 bans. If you had a timed ban then the next one will take you out. Which is horrible and especially when you are a long time and established user on here you nearly has to fear someone crawling behind you just for the purpose of finding a little offense that could kill you for bitcointalk indefinitely. The more you post the higher the risk and the longer you are on here the higher the risk as well.

But it's probably not the right place to discuss this here. Or maybe it is since most escrows are long time members that would not want to risk their accounts just to being able to copy a post for whatever reason. It just doesn't make sense that copying that post was worth anything near to it when he was aware of what he did. Or even did in intentially which is who the rule was made for, users that intentionally post copies to push their post count to earn from sigs or level up.

Hi everyone apologies for not keeping an eye on this thread, I used to get emails telling me when someone had commented but haven't had any.

Long story short I'm out of the game now so hadn't' been logging in anymore. I still have an interest but not as much as before.

I'll get in touch with each escrow later today or tomorrow to see if they're still offering the service and if anything needs updating. Or they can contact me in the meantime.

If some are removed then perhaps there are some other good trusted escrows I can add?

One dude is creating a POS coin for me. FULL service that includes wallets and block explorer. I made a down payment and after he will finish I have to pay him around $500 more. I need to escrow that dial via someone who will check the final result. Only after that I will pay the rest of money. If anyone is interested please PM me. Thanks in advance.

I feel this person is a scammer - see my trust.  Common sense also dictates new accounts that know the past are very often old accounts that scammed.

Where is the evidence? I already sent a message to administrator Theymos with request to ban you for leaving some "drunk" and inadequate feedbacks to users. You better remove your feedback a.s.a.p because it is the clear ABUSING OF THE TRUST SYSTEM.   I hope that one day you will be punished for such kind of behavior.

Not taking sides here. But it would have been better to escrow the full amount. Escrow would release in batches according to what is delivered. If the dev is somewhat trusted on here the less risk you went in now of course. Since the dev would want to proceed doing business on here. If the dev is a somewhat new user the past has shown, sadly, that the incentive between getting another $500 and just keeping the down payment without having to do any work and creating a new BCT-account instead is high.

I hope it works out for you. We have some great devs on here so chances are you contacted a legit one.
