have you actually checked the market before saying this?
bitcoin has gone up about $300 and then fell $500 and went up $600 in the past 48 hours.
the altcoins for the most part followed the same pattern more or less. at least the top altcoins with high volume and USD market did.
there are currently a couple of other altcoins that are getting pumped as we speak. one of them is ZCoin which has been pumped about 60%. another is NXT which has been getting pumped for the past 2 days. I believe it has gone up nearly 100%. Dash has also been getting pumped although with a slower pace.

there are lots of others that are getting dumped. such as Gas, Ethos, Veritaseum, Ark. and soon all the coins that are being pumped today will be getting dumped like these.

you see, you just have to look around a little to find all the opportunities for profit all around you and then take advantage of them each day to build yourself some constant income.

How quickly people get used to the craziness of crypto trading! Just yesterday, we had a $550 dip in BTC, followed by new all-time-highs, followed by another $450 dip. And some altcoins have been moving, too. DASH is up 17% on the day.

A lot of my low/micro cap altcoins have been moving, too. Bitcore (BTX) doubled recently, and so did Bridgecoin (BCO). And my Bitsend bags are doing nicely too, got a 30% + pump after being added to Upbit.

Lots of coins aren't moving -- yet. They will.

Cryptocurrency market has been the most volatile market since its "inception". Even if we talk about doldrums, calm periods, there are +/- tens of percent daily volatility in major cryptos. I just don't get your point...

No, volatility is part of the cryptocurrencies market. And the price keeps moving along and I don't know what you are seeing but there are always small movement along. It will never be stable although at the current price of bitcoin one might think that is better to be this way.

Price swings in altcoin market is even greater than bitcoin. There are times that you will see a sudden surge of price on a certain coins and then in less than 30 minutes a full blown catastrophe ensures, causing the price to floor. So better correct your notion on the idea of volatility because it doesn't apply to cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Volatility will always be present with crypto currencies. Many people treat it as a risky investment and are always easily swayed by news and rumor.
Don't worry about volatility. Use it to your advantage and trade. Buy the rumor and sell the news.

Traders like this highly volatile markets because then only then can make a money on a regular basis if not, they can't earn money. But if you don't know how to trade then just buy some of the good coins and watch the price movements over a couple of years time your investments might go up many folds. Don't worry much about daily volatility of crypto markets, it is very common.

Volatility could never be over unless all the crypto currencies are  banned all over the world which is next to impossible as the crypto currencies are being adopted at a rapid rate these days. The market might be still for some time but then its crypto and you have to face any situation that comes your way. I don't think volatility is over since BTC was dumped just a few days back and recovered today. So you might be having a misconception about the volatility.

But mostly is not over. I know mostly the price down but it does not mean the volatility is over.

Now the volatility has decreased. Grow individual projects. Mainly bitcoin and its closest neighbors at the market cap Now almost no market smart money-all in the cue. And even if the project is good-looking he is not growing because everybody wanted to capitalize on the growth of the cue ball. And the endless fork. Now the ICO is useless.

No,the market is still volatile.Volatility measures the variance of the price of a certain financial instrument within a certain period of time. The price of a coin can rise and fall quickly.A highly volatile instrument is regarded as risky and a less volatile instrument as less risky.
Therefore, it is important to understand the volatility of cryptocurrencies if you are looking to invest or trade in the cryptocurrency space.

It is actually moving, 2-3% up/down movement is quite huge compared to other trading assets or in forex. So still volatility over cryptocurrency is really high. You can't expect for 20-30% movement in crypto always, however some coins are still having 10%+ movement like +10% for XMR today https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/monero/

There are days where the price of Bitcoin or an altcoin doesn’t move much. Then there are days where there are huge changes. This is all based on supply, demand, news, etc.

There will continue to be volatility with all cryptocurrencies for years but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t slow days or even slow weeks. I think you will see Bitcoin have some price swings over the remainder of this year.

Is volatility over in cryptocurrencies? Nothing is moving.

Volatility will never be gone as far as anything that is traded in an open market. Volatility is not peculiar to cryptocurrency like Bitcoin because it is also affecting forex, commodities, stocks, derivatives, futures, etc. However, when we talk about volatility it is more pronounced and so obvious in Bitcoin where anytime it can go down or go up very wild in comparison to other investment vehicle.

There are those who are saying that volatility is one of the hindrance for the mainstream adoption of Bitcoin as it can turned off many merchants. That can be true but without volatility I don't think Bitcoin will be as popular as it is today. But then again, we are looking forward for a time when its volatility can be more stable than it is now. The more speculators there are in the market, the bigger is the possibility for volatility and because of this there are those who are worrying the effect of the establishment of futures contracts in Bitcoin.

actually you can expect 20-30% movements and even more in crypto always because when you say crypto and talk about the market in general then you are talking about nearly 1500 actively traded coins and at least a dozen are bound to be rising and falling that much. as you can see on coinmarketcap.com/all there are multiple coins that have been rising more than 10% today and even more that dropped more than 10% today.

the thing you can not expect is 20-30% drop in one altcoin every single day.

Crypto currencies market has three circle and you have to familiarize yourself with it in other to succeed and also to know the face that a particular coins is facing. We have upward trend, downward trend and ranging market. We should also know that to know if an asset is in volatile or not. I don't think that the volatile is over as  we are just experience another little corrections.

Maybe what you seeing is just a slow movement, but I'm sure there's movement because volatility = bitcoin market. There are really days that there no movement, but majority of the days you will see a lot of price movement. Maybe the next questions is, does volatility a good thing in bitcoin market? Yes, because this is how traders makes profit for short term. They took advantage of the wild price swing and make proper decision in time. And it is also favorable or advantageous to us specially if you are into bitcoin for the long haul. Because as you see, as time passes by bitcoin prices also increase, which means greater profit.

in cryptocurrency the volatility will not stop becuse it had been its own charateristic at least for now,
also because of it many people intrested to buy it or sell it.
so in the end volatility will not stop until we're finding our own place or our own price.
for now it's still far from it because of its usability and demand,
many people still do not know about, which mean the volatility will not stop until it's fairly distribute.
or to be exact volatility will exist as long as people still trade it because with it the traders will get the profit,
if it's gone nobody want to trade it,

This last volatility occurrence was pretty rare compared to how nonvolatile BTC has been as the years progress and the network gets stronger. It was of course though, because of FUD created from Bitcoin Cash. They did a huge pump trying to get people to buy into it, but of course it didn't work. There are virtually no wallet providers, and barely any developers. It's purely speculative.

I barely doubt that volatility of the coins will ever end in the crypto market. I have myself seen the whole coins go up and down like 20-30% in the whole 48 hours man. Could have gotten great profits in the first place but anyway missed the chance to do it so I’m watching the market over again. IF the volatility of the coins end like this then it might happen that we won’t be getting much of the profits from them as we will have to wait for more longer times than the previous scenario.

So remember that the volatile nature is first basis for the coins which can gives us good path to make some fortune and secondly I don’t think volatility will change in the crypto ever because they always have old and new investor playing around forever for them.

Oh you suggesting or telling him that they are volatile and non volatile.

Anyway I don't think either that volatility for the coins are over yet and it could not over according to me. People will come and go in this regard, there will always be outflow and inflow of the money for all the coins in the alt market as well as the bitcoin king itself. So this will keep giving the wavy form all the time and hence the volatile nature as we know it in the first place.

Im pretty sure that no coin is stable in the market only the ripple which is sticking at the same price like forever just because it is centralised currency. So I guess it is exception and not winder why it is stable due to its centralised nature.

Nope. Cryptocoins will always be volatile and will be unstable due to the law of supply and demand. A coin's all time high or low does not necessarily mean that it became stable. Maybe, there are just activities that made its price high for a longer time.

Most of the times, volatility is likely to occur when a big event is about to take place, like it did last month and early this November during the two hard forks– Bitcoin Gold and Segwit2x (uuhm… can anyone tell me if Segwit2x was later released please? Lol)

Cryptocurrencies are being most used for investment purposes and not as a currency itself. Since the beginning, that's the view of the majority. The proof? Just look how at some coin volumes gone crazy even for a minute even for our precious BTCitcoin. You can't say that volatility is over for just a duration of short term period without so much action and movement in price.

Bitcoin cash has push from  $1164 the day before yesterday to $1657 and ethereum from 345 dollars to 460 dollars there about. Bitcoin and any other cryptocurrency will always be volatile since it is decentralized and no government authorities are controlling over it. It just depends on the people patronizing it therefore its price will vary on the demand and its price movement will be unpredictable. It can never be stabilized as long as it will remain decentralized.

Volatility would never end in crypto currencies especially bitcoin.Bitcoin being a decentralized currency has no central authority to control its price. Its price is mainly decided by the increase and decrease in demand for bitcoins. There would always be a difference in its demand as per the market situations. If it has to have a stable price, then it should be a centralized currency and its not good for bitcoin's progress.

Price would really matter on demand since these cryptos are decentralized which means price movement do matter on people who are buying and selling on it which means volatility would really be always there and cant be stopped unless if all people stopped on trading it then thats the time that theres no movement on the coin. If you do engage on crypto then you should expect price is always volatile and this is the best feature on a coin on where we can able to make money if we do know how to ride on.

Volatility can never be over when you talk about cryptocurrency. It is the very nature of crypto. I'm quite curious as to where you found data to support your claim that there's no movement in crypto right now.
It is even the nature of every currency which the only difference here is that fiats are controlled one way or the other so as to minimize the volatility. Cryptocurrencies are not controlled except few, and as long as that keeps happening, cryptos will remain volatile and nothing can stop it. So with respect to the Op's question, volatility continues and it can never be over.

It is when sellers and buyers are not changing their strategies. I don't see that volatility is going anywhere at least in next 5 years. We are still in the development phase where the chances are in favour of positive momentum but sometimes when there is an excessive surge in the price, we face corrections and to be honest I am expecting it within a month or two. Bitcoin is going to remain volatile for the years from now but overall graph will keep growing upward.

Volatility of the crypto currencies is a stable features of the prices. Its not always bad because its in fact encouraging so many investors to start buying such currencies and hold it for long term, with the hope that prices keep going up. Thats why crypto seems more attractive than fiat currencies, if the prices still stables this wouldn't motivate more people to buy and invest in crypto.

,yes volatility was already there since the beginning, and it doesn't seem to be right if it will be remove as of now right? i agree to your opinion saying because of lack of knowledge why most countries does not legalize bitcoin, but maybe its not permanent, and there are also some doubts why they didn't implement it easily, also by those many bad guys who do transactions through bitcoin, and its hard to trace it down, so for the better they didn't implement it first and they have to study before they do the move.

We will see lots of fluctuations in the price of Bitcoins and cryptocurrencies. You are just looking at a few days where the price didn’t move much. However, now look at the price of the coins in the top 10 of the market cap. Those coins ranked 7 to 10 have been bouncing around for the last few weeks. There is lots of volatility with those coins right now. All coins will go through times of great volatility as well as times when the price levels off for a while.

That's the game inside and with this volatility more investors are now getting to the picture we will expect more so fluctuations with the value will keep on moving just keep believing and trusting each project that you are supporting then see how big the earnings that it will to you.

Everything is moving now, guess they need some time to rest :D Volatility has been an inseparable part of cryptocurrency. Even the biggest crypto, Bitcoin, is still very volatile and might seems like a bubble sometimes. What can you expect from the smaller one?

While major cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Ethereum might be stable and much less volatile one day, I think most altcoin, if they still exist, will be a forever volatile and Pump n Dump type of market. Most people (trader) seem to like and enjoy that volatility. Probably as a possible way to gain money from "trading". It's more similar to gambling than trading though, perhaps that explain why some trader love altcoins trading as well.

Volatility of crypto currency will only stop when the value of a coin will be 0. There is a time that there is only a small price movement in crypto market. If there is a big pump that only means that the demand of the coin is very high. Today bitcoin price jumps for 8300 to 9000+ $ now

No doubt that before 2-3 days the price of bitcoin was somehow stable around 8000$ but that does not means that volatility is over as we can see the price has again raised and has reached the 9000$ mark. The price of Crypto currencies are depended upon their demand. There is always movement in crypto and there always will be.
There will be times when the markets are less volatile but
there is always movement.

It is the nature of crypto at the moment for people to see the
different projects as money makers as soon as they are live on
the exchanges rather than being interested in the actual
technology, so there will be always volatility.

Volatility will always exist for as long as there is a free market, the level of volatility will change over time but it will always exist. There will be periods of relative stability and I think over time as cryptocurrencies become more mainstream and commonplace the prices will become stable, also because news is more transparent.

Most people don't realize this, but when Bitcoin was even newer, like only a few years old, the price would fluctuate a whole lot more than it does today. It would go up and down 50% in a single day all of the time. A single millionaire could greatly change the price because the market cap was so low. It was well below even a billion dollars.

That was when the market had extremely low liquidity, and the amount of money necessary to push the market around was tiny. It's not just that the market cap was low (although it was), but also due to the fact that there were so few places to trade and so little dollar liquidity on the order books.

2013 felt a lot different than now, too. I can definitely feel the presence of institutional players entering our beloved BTC markets. They have been buying the dips very heavily for the past several months. I have mixed feelings about that. :P

I don't agree that its controlled, because if we think of manipulations that would be unfair for the small investors because it could lose more investments to  experience low profit gains. I don't believe that there's that dominant group of people, but maybe if they wanted to play with their money well that's their fate. Taking risk is a wise decisions in crypto currency and we could not prevent volatility to happen, because people who has weaker emotions may experience panic by the declining price showing the trading trend to go down but if you're strong enough to handle your fears I guess you'll earn much better profit in the future.

Many people here are just cursing bitcoin for being volatile, highly volatile. But what I think it is, due to its volatility only bitcoin is able to make huge profit ratios. Like gold id bitcoin is stable in price rates, then there would be no difference in bitcoin and gold and prices are just stabilizing at one level. Hence this much familiarity of bitcoin wouldn’t be possible at all. Everything has its own importance.

Volatility is the best part of crypto currency which makes it risky and profitable at the same time. Recently the volatile feature was maximum seen in Bitcoin cash whose value rose up to 2k USD after the cancellation of hard fork. I think investing in Bitcoin and alt coin is a risky decision due to its high volatile nature but if trading is done with proper analytics one can get a chance to save his assets from getting dumped.
Further, volatility forms one of the important pillar of crypto currency and without that it will be simple fiat currency which is present virtually.

Nope. Volatility is the nature of any cryptocurrency because it's just based on speculations. There are several factors that cause volatility to the market. Like cryptocurrency market is small. So even small movement has a huge effect at the price. Big players or whales holds huge amount of supplies. Means, the price can be controlled by them. And as said, Cryptocurrencies are highly just based on speculations. Hyped cryptocurrencies are more likely to grow because people think it will pump in the future. Like Bitcoin for example. Bitcoin is too hyped right now. I've heard that some huge companies like stock exchange will join Bitcoin. So people expect Bitcoin to pump since Bitcoin will now be at the stock exchange because of it integrates at stock market.

There are a number of factors that appear to be contributing to the ongoing volatility that is observed, but chief among these may well be the relative youth of the marketplace and the products. One might assume that volatility will reduce over time, as the currencies mature.

Seriously?! You can't see the volatility in cryptocurrencies? Its market is fluctuating almost every minute. It is more volatile than the stock market. I don't get your point there. What kind of volatility are you looking? Something that will dump coins for -50% the suddenly pump for 30%? Last week, Bitcoin's price is just around $8k and now it is almost $10k. That is already showing some volatility.

No, volatility keeps happens into the top 200-300 altcoins, wich has some decent volume, if you are dreaming with the telegram pump groups, well forget, bitcoin is worthing too much to you risk into those, crypto is shaking from 5-40% into a single day, soo if for you isnt enought well i dont know what to say. In the past we had see 200-500% into some coins, those pumps looks like wont return soo soon, unless is a shitty coin wich cost 1 satoshi, at that way is easy to get such, but its a trap to newbies and new investors.

It will never stop, Continous changing rates in this type of industry is a normal thing. The data that you can see as of the moment will technically change every minutes, hours, days, weeks, and year. Especially in this type of industry, The supply and demand dictate what will happen at the market plus outside factors like news, press releases and etc that can contribute to the emotional stability of an investor.

Don't be so complacent, expect that it will move from time to time.

The rate of growth in a short period of time has been huge and there is still a lot development coming up for it.
It is obvious that large investors are already stepping in and that is speaking a lot of volume now on how it is going to end up being more of a legit hold-able asset in the long run.

All the above, volatility is one thing that should always be expected as long as an asset is traded which is what no one can do anything about. It might not be as huge as it is now in the long run, but time can only tell.

Is volatility over in cryptocurrencies? Nothing is moving.

Now you should be looking at the market and you will find that everything is moving too fast. Its like they have entered into black whole and they can't escape the gravity of the same!!

I mean this has gone too far now, and crypto's will always have the volatility in first place. The reason? Well, when you see the increase in the price and when you see the crypto news about a coin which is going to explode soon then what do you do? Well you buy enough coins and make investment into it. This alters the market cap of that coin and thus upward movement starts. This keeps happening over and over gain with the time leading to huge ups and downs in the coin value or market cap. This is what is the volatility really. So with that definition I'm sure that cryptocurrencies will never be stable.

People fear of volatility when they were new to the bitcoin as well cryptocurrency usage. The marginal difference in volatility is what is going to keep reducing in the long run. So far we are seeing the market getting stronger compared to the high level of correction and volatility we have usually had in the past. So far so good, things are changing, but one thing that would keep going on is the volatility. So for the OP asking if volatility is over, I guess he may need to understand that no tradable asset is non-volatile.

I disagree with the market decreasing its volatility. Its already part of the ecosystem, the more capital entering, the more it will be volatile. Look at how the price swings with financial institution get in. There are days that bitcoin price rose to $2K but then decreasing $3K. It will not go away that simple.

What we can do is to really adopt ourselves on this rapid changing price. Arbitrage, day trading. But just be cautious, because of this volatility, money is lost very quick as well.

This a basic difference between the crypto world and all other sources of income or currencies like gold and dollar and all that other stuff. Crypto currencies are volatile and this make the difference, they have such high prices due to this volatility. Believe me if the crypto also have stable rate of increase or decrease like gold, there would be no difference in crypto and others.

Even the gold that you have mentioned is a little bit volatile. The only difference here if I should tweak what you have said a little is that the volatility is not as much as in the crypto world being a new market.

A time will come when we will see some little bit of stability as well in the value of bitcoin and some news maybe driving the value up and making investors to want to fall in the more, but for now, it is still fresh, so we should expect that huge volatility. We should also remember that even gold once had a huge level of volatility once during its boom.

Is volatility over in cryptocurrencies? Nothing is moving.
Volatility is the engine of progress.Somehow the price steadying but not totally having no movement
so don't worry about volatility
There is even no way a market that is based on supply and demand will remain in the same spot without moving, even if it is just by some few cents. Volatility is a must which would always happen every time and there is no way it can be curbed as it will keep going on and on and on, even when everyone has decided to be using only crypto. It may be different in size, but being a new market, this should be expected.

No, it will not happen yet.In my thought it cannot be over. Because it is digital currency.  Normally the value of every crypto currencies are volatile. Then how does we say volatile is over It cannot be change. The crypto currencies are moving upon development process basis. It can be fluctuating slowly Because noway more than bitcoin users are flocking because of its price..

We can only believe that volatility over the long run should drop after institutions get involved. Price swings can also occur because of the cryptocurrency exchanges that have been plagued by cybersecurity and fraud issues.

Setting your goal is the best way to ride price movements because in trading you will not just buy low or sell high it must be supported by your study. We make money because of volatility so read it well to save your money from being loss.
The studying part is the aspect most newbie traders do not want to take. They are not ready to learn, they are not ready to listen and they are not ready to research which makes them to keep doing the same thing over and over and over again expecting different results. The fact is the volatility in the crypto world cannot change but rather than making it a negative one, it is good to look at the brighter side from the trading angle of it.

Volatility will decrease throughout the years with this market getting more and more regulated, but not to the extent of reaching total stability, that will never happens because even with traditional assets that isn't the case. Bitcoin actually needs a bit more stability in order to give people more incentive to actually start using Bitcoin as currency tool. I think if we at some point in the future can achieve that, it will tremendously increase Bitcoin's adoption, and especially in combination with lightning network. At this point convenience and stability are lacking, and with time I am confident that we will tackle both aspects, which will then stimulate adoption.

Volatility could almost be called a synonym for cryptocurrencies!
as you can check every day the cryptocurrencies can also double or halve their value and if you take into consideration a longer fraction of time (1 week, 1 month or 1 year) the variations are also very significant.
the value can increase (or decrease) by 10x or 100x.

the btc as you will know, has increased since its birth of over 100.000x

It is not from time to time it is all the time, to explain why it is happening you
need to understand supply/demand of all crypto-coins and traditional currencies.
Now if it is possible imagine paired crypto-coins and traditional currencies, understand
their differences, and all that is happening on global level.
Volatility is a part of all currencies and products on the market, everything depends
from something, according to that price are moving if conditions are good and prices
are going down if conditions are bad.

He went on bitcointalk talking about no volatility while even before commodities do have that feature.
Hell even the currencies do. (fiat)
It would have been better if he just talked about other stuff than this. This is purely FUD for bitcoin and alts.

Maybe he should start a deeper research or studying more about commodities and currencies.

Volatility is always active in Cryptocurrencies, and as you can see, just recently, Bitcoin has dropped from $18000 down to $16000. That’s also the work of Volatility, we shouldn’t  always be expecting the price rate of cryptocurrencies to keep on rising, there are also times when they will take a fall, and there are times they will rise up, that’s why we say they are volatile– Volatility doesn’t mean going up all the time, it means fluctuating from one position to another.

The fact that it is an uncontrolled market, there is a lot of uncertainty, there are so many dummies who see bitcoin as a get rich quick scheme and the market is totally based on pure demand and supply, then there is just no way this will not continue.

Still, even some of these things that I have mentioned get to reduce, volatility is the main thing in any demand and supply market, the only difference is that it may reduce in the long run when there is a real certainty and sensible usage for value.

Yeah, total stability is something that can never happen one bit. What we are seeing now with the high level of volatility is because the market is still very new and people are only seeing bitcoin as an asset and want to just make profit.
Over time, as we keep getting more adoption and we start having real life usage for bitcoin, things will change and then we will experience just some pretty much gradual increase and decrease in the value of bitcoin.

Yes I agree, Bitcoin can never have a steady market just like all the others. There are extremely lagging days, and this is one of them. I have observed the steady flow for the past three days circling within $12,000 to $13,500. I cannot say it is something to be happy about because Bitcoin really suffered a nose dip from its highest peak by far. I just hope that even if it goes steady, it will rise no matter how slow the movement will be.

And just a quick update, from around $13,000 this morning, it has almost reached $16,000 this evening. So you see, it is still very much erratic.

Volatility is our foundation in trading and for the other type of making of money like investing. Volatility will not have an end in cryptocurrency since the market is not regulated and it is just all depending on the supply and demand of the coin so the price will keep moving based on the demand only and the volatility will not end and it will just continue.

All along we have been hearing traders complaining of the Bitcoin market been too volatile and only here have I heard a complaint about lack of volatility, different strokes I must say! At any rate, it helps by understanding that the market needs some breather too after plummeting or rallying, if just cannot afford to continue indefinitely in anyone direction, so all so often the market shall be seen slowing down to decide if to still push forward or reserve depending on net pressure between the bulls and bears.

A strong argument for the volatility of Bitcoin and by extension the crypto market, is that so far, the market is dominated by speculators and the market capitalization is still low. However,  by the time more and more investors and merchants come into the equation, we would start to see some stability and lesser volatility.

Right now, things have just gotten so crazy that everyone want to tap from the ever increasing bitcoin which makes it bad. I remember the period in between 2013 and late 2016, those are the kind of stability that bitcoin will have later on but at what price is what no one knows.

The difference is that it is not as much as the level we have it but all currencies are volatile against each other in the Forex market and that is how the Forex traders are making good profit from trading of Forex. But for most people volatility is good because when the price grow more and more they earn a lot of money and the early investors have made millions of dollars from their investment. Until there comes to be real life use of cryptocurrencies, volatility can never be discounted from the markets because it  would only take a few moves by a whale or a group of them to bend the market in their desired direction. For now, the markets are unavoidably calm because of uncertainties of what would become of the markets as the year ends and another by the corner.

Good example. Currently its sitting at $90b marketcap but I don't know if if really grew to $102b, if it is then $10b has been slashed already. Simply cashing it out or moving funds to other coins already. So its really that volatile, very unpredictable its really up to you on how to manage it. Most of us dump coins during its high and then shift to other and then the cycle continues. Again, how you deal with volatility its up to you. Newbies are the one who have difficulty managing volatility, then think that the market will end once the price started to go down. LOL. But for us experienced traders/investors, we all know how to handle it that most of us really doesn't give a s**t when the price is going down. Well, you have to understand where the OP is coming from, If you haven't noticed, it was back November and maybe that time the price doesn't have movement that's why he is asking based on what he/she observed.

There's also such time in December as far as I can remember that there has been no movement, specially when CME offered its bitcoin future contracts. Well the rest is history.

But overall, volatility will be part of the process and to progress to the next level, we really need it and be able to adapt as well.

Is volatility over in cryptocurrencies? Nothing is moving.
Do not say volatility is over in crytocurrencies, and nothing is moving, because i am also the one who periodically checking the movement in the market, and it's continuosly moving. Just like the bitcoin in the market now,it is still moving, and  not yet over.

Volatility is the increase and decrease in price and it's best to learn what causes the trend to help take necessary actions and determine the appropriate time when to invest, trade, buy, hold, or sell, and to be positive that from crash it can absolutely recover. I think volatility is the asset of every cryptocurrency because more investors and traders join the market and the more it strengthens the community. Let's just work together, and be hopeful that bitcoin will grow and become more trusted and safe haven for investment or trading.

What are you talking about? Are you that first day in the market? Before asking such a question, you just had to look at the schedule, at least for November 2017 (this is when you wrote this post). The market of crypto currency is very volatile. And if the price does not move much for 7 days in a row, it does not mean that the entire crypto currency market is not volatile. And there are many examples of this, you just don't be lazy and look at the ghafi.

Volatility is part of market growth, while there may be fluctuation in the market, it generally produces profit in the long-run. As the price fluctuates, it provides opportunity for investors to buy if price is low, and wait for cumulative growth down the road. If there is no price change, there is no profit.

I think stability is also something the world witnessed in 2017 when the value of crypto currencies rose to a maximum height and stayed there for some time before falling back. Momentarily stability is possible and the volatility can be called as decreased in such periods. Even small signs of stability in the crypto market are enough to keep the volatility thing aside and start investing keeping in mind the future profit.

Trading the volatility which I guess you are trying to say actually gives more profit than holding and there is no way anyone can actually end up not getting the best from it as long as they are very good at trading. Volatility makes trader enjoy the market the most and while some are complaining about it, some are pretty much seeing how they can make the best use of it.

We will never know what will happen next, one day its dump then it will pump, we need only to decide on where we can still earn.
volatility is a very difficult thing to predict, the price of a digital currency will never be known and will never be predictable. really like what you say that there will always be dumping and pumping. it happens because there are some people who take advantage of the situation. it is a commonly used thing to happen to all investments. but digital currencies do have a much higher volatility rate than others.

That is the idea and that is even what makes trading cryptocurrency even more interesting as you have a whole lot to gain from the volatility. I am sure a lot of people may not get that, but one thing for sure is that as long as you know what you are doing, you are going to be making a lot of bucks eventually from the volatility anyway.

The more the volatility, the more you can actually earn something pretty good. But unfortunately most people are not understanding this and complaining about the volatility. Volatility is unavoidable hence we must learn how to make use of it.

Actually no way at all. Over time, we may start experiencing short fluctuations though, and volatility may reduce to some pretty good level, but it is normal for a market to fluctuate all the time since everything is based on demand and supply and more like we are all more like auctioning.

I am not sure any sensible trader will complain about the volatility though since that is actually the easiest way to make a lot of bucks here as long as you know how to play your trading card well. Volatility will remain with bitcoin for time being, over time bitcoin also will be having a stable prices. But it may take decades to achieve a stable prices for bitcoins.

In between time, making use of volatility or staying away due to volatility is just a personal preferences. But I am sure most traders are already making use of these fluctuations both actively and in passive way of simply holding too.

There’s no such thing as stopping volatility. It’s natural in the cryptoverse and you’ve got to embrace it. On top of that, cryptocurrencies are unpredictable when it comes to their movement. Anything can happen, even that pro analysts are predicting it wrong like what they have expected in the 2018 Consensus in New York City. Volatility remains and continues as long cryptocurrencies are here to stay. You cannot control it.

Volatility cannot disappear in any market and the thing about it is that, you can only utilize that volatility for your own gain rather than looking at it as a problem.

Volatility helps a lot for traders who know how to do their thing and are so smart about their trade based on how volatile the market is. This is a decentralized market and thinking the volatility is something that will end is more like someone trying to dream the impossible.

Volatility is a statistical measure of the dispersion of returns for a given security or market index. Volatility can either be measured by using the standard deviation or variance between returns from that same security or market index. Commonly, the higher the volatility, the riskier the security.

If you want to make money everyday volatility is preferred so that you can get some cushion to buy low and sell high and you can repeat this multiple times in a day and make some money. If the market is stable than you cannot do much trade.

Crypto and now quite volatile (just take crypto from the top 100+ ) Of course this is not 2017,the market is different, investors are different . But even in this market there is a volatility of 5-20 % is more than enough for trading .

Yes, but I personally prefer evening trading, I think then the market is more volatile. But now in this market it is probably better to take on the average price or long term. Of course, professional traders can make money on short-term transactions, but beginners would not be advised .

Is volatility over in cryptocurrencies? Nothing is moving.
If you see the market is sure to move, try to see price charts in all cryptocurrencies in coinmarketcap, obviously they are up and down, until anytime fluctuations or volatiles in cryptocurrency will not over as long as there is still market demand.

With long-term investment plans, you will not have to be impatient with the current fluctuations. In the virtual currency market, volatility is very normal. If you have experience in short-term investments, deals, these fluctuations can make you more profitable.

It is noteworthy that now the situation is much worse, since we have a bear market with you, and any long standing on the spot does not inspire additional hopes. But very often in the financial markets, the reduction of volotility is a signal before a rapid fast movement, so I propose to observe what will end today's situation

This a fundamental contrast between the crypto world and every other wellspring of pay or monetary forms like gold and dollar and all that other stuff. Digital forms of money are unpredictable and this have the effect, they have such high costs because of this instability. Trust me, if the crypto additionally has a steady rate of increment or abatement like gold, there would be no distinction in crypto and others.

Just to add up that volatility is one of the reasons why traders and investors are here on crypto market because of such movements easy big profits but the same time the risk is more bigger compared to traditional forex and stocks investments.
If you do decide to engage yourself in crypto then you should embrace the volatility because this is a chance on making up some profits if we are just smart enough.

The market is moving around the Bitcoin price range from $ 6k to $ 8k. In order to escape this price range and grow strongly, it is necessary to add a lot of money from new investors to boost the market. I believe the end of the year will be the strongest bull market.

This is right. The crypto market has gotten a bit stable right now since July and the volatility has reduced a bit as well. Actually volatility implies the inflow of new funds upon a drop in the values of Bitcoin or any other crypto because of the reduction in the cost of investment. Besides, volatility can get minimized but cannot completely stop because the market is dynamic and we will keep on having fluctuation in the values.

First of all, it has good and needed task - making electricity accesible and cheaper using renewable energy sources. Then this project has good partner - Krypical Group. This team had four partnerships before. So, this promises too.

Volatility is already attached to crypto market and if you don't know how to play with it better to stay away from crypto trading or do long term investment as this is not so much affected by market volatility. Choosing an solid coins would also lower your risk from market volatility.

Volatility is the enemy of bitcoin. Ever since coins started to react too badly or too good people have been starting to expect the same thing over course of a long time. If bitcoin reaches 20k from 5k or so, people expect bitcoin to hit from 20k to 80k and not expect it to drop. When it drops from 20k to 6k than people start to expect it to drop to 3k or 2k and keep going down.
No one stops and things that bitcoin has never been going into one direction. The swings are too high too, it is incredibly big difference from one way to another.

Price stability happens at the exchanges. If you want to buy or sell a currency, and there's millions of buyers or sellers on the other side of the market wanting to take your order, you will see a very small change in price movement from your trade.
Day by day New traders are starting their trading career and based on the buy and sell orders, the price changes, if that doesn’t changes how anyone can make profits on their investments? But it should become somewhat stable so that more opportunities increase along with the market price.

Technically, volatility refers to the amount at which asset prices fluctuate over a period of time. This is measured by taking a standard deviation or variant of price changes for a certain duration.

The price has been moving as the market capitalization plummeted from 839 billion to 260 billion

That's the principle of trading I guess, the loss of someone is the gain of someone as well, they have relativity and each time you enter this market fluctuations follows, as traders will buy and sell the volume will increase or decrease depends to the trend, buyers will hold and wait till they gained
while early holders will sell out with their profits, unless you are not so familiar with the movements you won't see any difference but having good
knowledge even in small form you will be able to increase your investment little by little.

A strong support makes something bring to stability while weak support will make it unstable. Furthermore when many identical things are supporting one source like we are supporting and using the cryptocurrencies then it depends upon us. When our demand rate increases it also increases in price while it decreases when our demand rate decreases so sudden changes in demand alters the Bitcoin.

Volatility is something that happens in every trade, because price fluctuations are very influential for traders to predict the market will move up or down. High volatility means the price rises high quickly and then suddenly drops, causing a big difference in a short time.

Bulls and bears can occur at anytime and bitcoin volatility continues. Even though prices are in the range of $ 6k, fluctuations happens from time to time. Sometimes it will go up and sometimes it will go down. With it, we still can gain profit by daily trading.
