these days, the price of ethereum continues to rise,.

what causes the increase in the price of the ethereum?

Hmmm it could be because of the wallet. ETH's wallet capable to store other altcoins in it's wallet. And there's a lot of new altcoins keep coming, I think this is what causes the price of eth to rise. It's only my opinion though :D

I generally view Bitcoin as the rising tide that lifts all boats. If you're not familiar with that saying, it means the success Bitcoin brings to cryptocurrency makes all cryptocurrencies to do better. The here are times when ehtereum does not trade in symmetry with Bitcoin, but generally it seems that most currencies trade the same direction as Bitcoin more times than not.

It likely has to do with Bitcoin making intense gains, I don't think that there is going to be any difference from patterns like that. Most of the time when BTC goes up, everything else does, and when BTC goes down everything also goes down. Some of people wanting to make money on other investments, some of people gaining confidence and being willing to invest more in tokens that were previously a bit more uncertainty.

I recommend looking into various market tracking tools in the future, you'd probably see a lot of the patterns that I'm telling you repeated in the past and probably in the future too.

This is what I was waiting for . I had purchased alot of ETH when the prices were roughly near 300 USD . I have decided that I will not touch that thing for like 2 years . Basically after 2 years when the prices of ETH will be equal to the current prices of Bitcoin, that day I will become pretty rich by just holding ETH. So just a suggestion , it's still not late . Even you guys can buy ETH and hold and I can guarantee that you will make profit no Matter how much you invest.

It could be bitcoin.
The Ethereum price could not be left. It needs to at least have the value that would equal to how much it is per Bitcoin and not per USD.
That is just my speculation, I dont really what could be the main reason behind it.
It could also be the usage, because of altcoin that have been traded to Ethereum.

Yes, the ethereum price is highly amazing. And that is because of the demand of supply. If the demand of supply is highly increasing, that will also increase the price of ethereum!

The price increase may vary from the trend and developments of ICO that uses ethereum smart contract thus using the eth blockchain to release their token making a convenient platforms for the dev's to create their promising coins but ponzi scheme ICO's are not counted from the contribution for the ethereum's growing community, another one is the bitcoin's price increase and popularity making the alts pump as well and the last thing that I know why eth keeps growing is because of the upgrades that the network did making the coin better than other competitors from the market.

I believe also , Ethereum blockchain is being integrated by wide numbers of investors ! I see a great future ahead of this coin ! I just invest on ethereum about 4 months ago and I can say that it's improving !

the increase in the price of ethereum is caused because there are now so many ICO-based ETH projects that they buy ETH, and ETH holds forks and upgrades that usually trigger the price increase of ethereum.

In my opinion, the reason why etherium is on a rise is because there are more people trading eth and btc though bitcoin may seem to be on a constant rise, etherium is just stable gradually rising; unlike bitcoin the support that etherium gets from the people is much less than bitcoin; i dont mean that it is because of few traders are into etherium what i am pertaining is that there are businesses that accepts bitcoin than etherium but there is nothing to worry about because etherium is going to rise, it may be slow but still we will be making profit out of it.

As of this moment we can see that btc keep rising, some people who ask for services ask to send in Eth instead of btc because of its less expensiveness in tx especially if they pay only low, and some uses et for token that is what I think.

This should not come as a surprise to anyone. The reality is, Ethereum is backed by major players. I heard Putin is good friends with Buterin. Those names might be in the wrong order right now (arguably), but in the future Buterin will likely become one of , if not the richest person on Earth. ETH simply has so much utility. It is like "other" thing than Bitcoin. There is BTC and ETH and nothing else matters really. I don't see anything else overtaking them.

There was a developer's meeting last week and a lot of companies shows interest in using Ethereum Smart Contract that's why it looks like they have somewhat have a second wind and even breaks its previous high. We may see a lot of industries as well took advantage of Smart Contract so its not only Bitcoin has a bright future but Ethereum as well.

Crossing $500 will be the next challenge. However, I think it's really achievable. So much trust and confidence has already been put in Ethereum that I have no doubts that maybe $550-$700 could easily be touched this year. And lest we forgot it, ETH based ERC20 tokens are being offered as investment of most ICO's.

Honestly I have no idea about why the price of ethereum is increasing but I am happy with what is happening to eth and of course bitcoin. I have altcoins that can be converted into ethereum. I think it is the best time to convert it into eth since the price is good.

Investing on this altcoins are good option aside from btc, eth offers also great technology and I think this can be the reason why ETH are soaring high right now. Cryptocurrency is the future specially those big altcoins can rule the world in the future.

Just my opinion though, the adoption of Ethereum smart contract is already done by so many company which starting an ICO since centuries, it's nothing new but why it could affect the market and making new ATH reached. it's just strange tho, but however, the price increase of ethereum is kinda a good thing, so many ERC20 token get carried by this increase.

I think the price of Ethereum needs to pump also, the price of bitcoin is getting far and far away from the price of bitcoin. And I think the reason of these is the people tend to exchange their tokens for ethereum so they can catch up to bitcoin while the price is still not that high.

Actually i am happy that etherium price increase since i have some etherium that i hold.
Price increase because the demand of etherium also increase. So many project based on etherium created and when you want to buy then you need some etehrium first.

Its being along wait for the investors who had invested heavily in the ETH considering the next big coin after the btc as per market capitalization. But overall in this year its not rallied much currently also its trading at 460$. Approx 1000$ some months back was expected till year end but now it seems it will be in 500$ range only.

Let's imagine Bitcoin is a roller coaster and the person riding it are the altcoins like ethereum. If Bitcoin goes up then so the altcoins and when it goes down, the altcoin follows. Bitcoin's price right now is actually growing getting an all time high of 9000$ so it's a no surprice that other altcoins would go green too.

The ethereum is the second coin where bitcoin is the first coin that are most needed in the exchanges or any sites. I think it will going to increase because bitcoin will make better that other cryptos also be better because of bitcoin.

                          I hardly believe it too. Since I first knew about bitcoin, there are some indications about the prices before, as we can see it clearly before when the bitcoin price goes up, the altcoins or most of them are inversely proportional to bitcoin, which means they go down and start to dump, and opposite when the bitcoin price dumps, but before, ethereum also is equally proportional to bitcoin's price, which means that, it follows the path of bitcoin.

Ethereum is also one of the top coins in coinmarketcap that is why many users believe the future of ethereum. Yes the second coin as ofcourse still continuing the movement increasing its value.

Its long overdue, the time it should have risen before was when the hacking news filter through, now that the dust is settled, the only way from here is up

I don’t think that Ethereum smart contract adoption has led to increase in the prices of the ether itself. It is in general increasing with the other alt coins because vitalik may not want his currency look like bad ass amongst the cheap coins around it. The smart contracts has been there since long and the rate of ICO is same as month ago and nothing related to the ICO is actually contributing to the ether prices. The ether is just being pump for the sake of development and I’m sure that it is done by many of the good investors out there. What we should do really is to invest into it form our side and let it grow big this time and reach the all new heights of the 1K rate per ether.

I think it's because ethereum is really needed well in fact it is second in the coinmarket cap after bitcoin. So I believe that the factor affecting the price of ethereum is because  of its high demand.

Ethereum is the best altcoins the reason of price is increased. Most use of ethereum because of its platform that is easily to use. The price vary from the users itsef who really beleive in ethereum and indeed price continues increasing.

Since bitcoin has started to rise in terms of price it made its mark in the news and it really got many people intressted in it, and this lead to the popularty of the bitcoin going up, more pople on bitcoin lead them to the cryptocurrency world where they started using altcoins to get to bitcoin, so saying that bitcoin growing and going up to 9000$ will eventuly lead to the other altcoins going up as well is true, however i recommend to be smart when it comes to altcoins, because there price may be linked to the bitcoin but they are unpredictibale and they may go down at any momnet, and that is due to the fact that peoople use them just to exhcange them to bitcoin.

It's not only the price, it's also the technology of ethereum blcokchain and the usage of ethereum platform by lots of projects which raised hundreads of million dollars. So, the main reason is easy.

It is no suprise that the price of the ethereum is starting to rise, and this will be due to the fact that there are a lot of ICO tokens that are ethereum based that starting up, and i think that ethereum will continue to gain more and more popularity and we will see it continuing to rise in terms of value, because not only ethereum is a good cryptocurrency in terms of investment, but it allows developers, poeple with great ideas to get a kick strater on their projects by allowing them to create their own tokens and selling them to people intresstd in these ideas, and that is what made its price rise in the first palce, just take a look at the service section and you will notice that there are a lot of ICO based campaigns that are promoting their ideas and tokens, and i am pretty sure that we will see more of them in the future.

Could be several factors one of them is what you mention and that could also be a factor that influenced that increase in ETH,however,there are still a few days until the end of the year and maybe the price could close around the $500,since it´s having traction the last few days.

Actually this is one of the main reasons everyone avoid. There are many tokens over ethereum chain keep burning gas. Every other token makes ethereum more expensive. It affects hard.

Same here :) I have stocked ETH from february 2017 while i save my 12 cards ETH mining earnings, price was $ 10.77. Today i will trade some of them, i had enough profit i guess ;D  

The important things that make eth price increase is ICO and their token. To participate on ICO investor need eth, so then they buying it and pump the price. Also their tokens need eth for doing transaction, they keep burning a small amount of eth for each transaction.

Yes constantly increasing since last week and at the rate it is going, i guess it will rise yo $500 before the end of november. Eth's popularity is growing everyday because many have realized how good its platform is.

Eth increase is small compared to bitcoin, with all the money coming in to Alts ethereum should have went up much more but it hasn't. Etc is up almost 300% this month. Eth is not doing good at all.

Etherum price increases are inevitable. Currently the price of Etherum is nearly $ 500. I think in December this year Etherum will touch $ 500. As ICO projects kicked off in December, the demand for Etherum rose sharply.

i think it is because people looks ethereum is a good project and there are many ico based ethereum network so they think that the ethereum price will be increase soon. we need to break the wall to increase higher and to reach $700, we need a lot of investor for ethereum itself. but don't forget if bitcoin is down, this will attract ethereum and the other altcoin increase so we can wait until this moment is come.

it's basically expectations for what is about to happen. If you follow Ethereum closely you will know that it is going through some "phases" these "phases" are basically protocol updates that are meant to make the network better, more stable more efficient and basically fit for the future. Some of these updates are very close and that's one of the reasons why ETH is gaining at the moment. These protocol updates will make a lot of changes as well not only to the protocol itself, but to the competitors of Ethereum too. You have for example Ethereum changing from mining to PoS. PoS is Proof of Stake which means that instead of mining to validate transactions you will have to just keep some Ethereum and you'll be able to simply validate transactions yourself, and gain some coins in return.

A lot of altcoyins are created on the basis of Ethereum, in order to buy them on the stock exchange, you must first buy Ethereum, so the demand is high and the price so quickly grows. I think this is not the limit and in the near future we will see 1000+ $ !!!

Still there are many cheap coins in the market those coins are good to invest. If you are going to invest on ICO you have to look their project completely whether it will move further or not.

Investors believe that ETH is a good place to be invested in, they continue to buy ETH. They will not sell because the price goes up. Demand continues to grow, and supply begins to decrease.

In my opinion, the price of Ethereum tends to rise 5x the present value or even more, the creation of the platform, was a merit and deserves recognition. That's what's on the news.

Since most of the other altcoins started to lose value they also lost the trust of investors. That directed investors to safer and well know coins like ethereum and bitcoin ofcourse. I personally would not invest in a some unknow so called promising coin when the markets are unstable. All these reasons helped ethereum to gain more and more value.

Actually I dont know the reason why the price increases. But my feeling is that Ethereum was so long trading at around $300, that it just waited to break that mark at a certain point. Many currencies and projects made good gains in the last week, so it was only a matter of time until ETH also continued its journey.

i don't think any specific development is the cause of the rise in the price of Ethereum. In my opinion, the surge in price is a reflection of increased adoption of the technology in the industry for BC development.

Ethereum becomes very stable and predictable day after day. It is now more enjoyable investment. I think ethereum s golden age has just begun, it will keep increasing.

Many believe that the etherum is very good for investment, but the truth is I doubt that its price will grow well. Most likely, you can use it as a means of storing money, but not as an investment.

many predict that the price of ETH will increase, now many coins that support erc20 standard tokens, maybe in the future ETH will beat BTC..  ;D

Ethereum has gotten a lot of investors renewed there interest on it, that's why the price also hits all-time-high. Ethereum has already gained the trust the investors, but with so many hacks, somewhat most investors shun and move to bitcoin. But lately there is a surge again, I don't know what the reason is, but maybe they think that Ethereum is under valued and needs more attention because it has one advantage that bitcoin doesn't have - smart contracts.

Not so fast with the $1000 prediction. It looks getting twice as to what the current price is. It will touched $1000 but I think in the next 2-3 years. We know that Ethereum is being pumped, but I seriously question if they can push the price to 4 digits. Maybe if there's another company that will take advantage of its smart contract technology, then we can see the price pushing to $1000.

I've heard and read also the same thing, said Ethereum will increase ad hopefully by next year it will.
But regarding Ethereum beating Bitcoin, that's too far to be possible although there might be a possibility in the distant future when bitcoin will be worth very less (if it does happen).

It will stil chase bitcoin cause it has some big diffrences in the mechanic part and some of "crypto people" just want to use it except of bitcoin.

It is a good coin. Thats it. You do not need to care much about the reason. IT is good, and because it is good, we need to buy it. Ethereum is better than bitcoin in many many ways and if you know how the blockchain work, you will know why ethereum is stronger than bitcoin. Just buy ethereum when you can. I'm regretting it, Ive been watching the btc value of my ethereum investment going down for 5 months.

Ethereum is really a good coin. It provides a good platform for tokens development. It will go up until $1000 in 2018

Ethereum price is going down since last week but it will rise again and hit 0.07 btc soon. There is big whales dont let price to rise. But everyone wait for announcement about POS and Casper . There are still many big ICOs based ethereum. We all need eth at least to transfer our funds as gas fee. now its good point to buy some eth.

I think Ethereum continues to rise today, because of the bitcoin value movement. When the price of bitcoin pumps and dumps, the ETH value is also affected. So in my view, the value of ETH depends on BTC value.
