I'm very new to AltCoins and all of it in general, this is my first post too!

I have started to invest into some AltCoins, but! I am looking to invest a large amount into a coin and Ethereum is looking promising, do you guys think that it is a good investment?
 
And is the price too high atm? ($483.36) or shall I wait for it to drop? do you guys think it will drop?

Some thinks that the price is too low and other think the price is high. In my personal opinion the price will rise more. However the best way to invest is in incremental fashion instead of lump sum. So if the price drops, you will be able to average down and there is no issue if the price keeps going up. You will lose some profit that way but you will sleep better at night.

Yes, you are right. if you want to invest even more money, I think ethereum is the right choice. although now the ethereum price is up more than $ 100 but I don't think it will go down drastically. The probability is down to $ 350, and I think this year the ethereum will reach $ 500, then next year could be over $ 1000 if seen from more and more people using ethereum and investing their money. ethereum is one of the best altcoin in my opinion.

Just do it, I also believe Eth can provide a decent profit especially in the long term, Eth is the right altcoin to choose.. it's no doubt anymore I guess this coin has a good potential.
And I don't think it will going down and could away from the $400 figure, even it seems having seen more clearly the price is likely to lead more higher direction as time goes on. So although a little too late to buy it, I think it's okay if you buy at right now.

I got 50% of my portfolio in ETH and I continue buying it by all means cause it is similar to buying bitcoin when it was $400.

There should be a market correction soon. I always try to buy in a dip. No promises though, this world is unpredictable. I'm thinking of buying Ethereum before it goes POS so I can stake and earn more. Just wish I had bought in when it was $7. Somewhere I have some mined Ethereum, I don't think it's a lot because I switched to Equihash pretty soon after I started.

Recently this week, all COINS have a great gains, but the higher the rise means to adjust, the more recently there will be a big adjustment, the price of the ETH is a little high, may not be particularly high rise next.

I suppose it could grow up to 1000$ in Dec 2017.
Do not rush and invest only during the local price drawdown. Divide your investment pool into several positions and wait for dumps.

To be honest, even though Ethereum is the best altcoin at the moment.  There are better options for a large investment into altcoins which could possibly end up with higher returns than investing in Ethereum alone.  Look into Stratis for example.  It is very undervalued with many upcoming releases.  

If going to choose an Altcoin to invest in large amount then it would be 50% Ethereum and 50% Bitcoin Cash. Surely they will give ne good profit in the future. Because most Altcoins are laying low on the ground for a long time and these top Altcoins will definitely rise by the end of the year and surely next year and so on.

I think it will drop more because bitcoin is still very dominant right now. It sucking huge volume at the alt coin market. So maybe altcoin market will fail a bit. Ethereum is stable right now but i think it will not last. It's price will drop slow in a matter of days. So wait for that moment to make a good entry. Besides, Ethereum is at it's highest peak right now. It's not safe to make an entry on peak because others may dump later. But it's up to you. It's your money anyway.

Yes.Ethereum reached $400 mark this means its morelikely getting like the BTC has lastyear,i bought already 500 Ethereum for the future.

I agree. It's much better to do it now and won't regret when it becomes 1000$. Even if it drops back to 300$ it will grow with 100% probability a little bit later.

I agree, dividing portfolio of Altcoin investments will save you from sudden pumps and low blow dropping. Thus instances will keep your investment stable even one of them are being dumped. Otherwise, you'll be in a critical situation.

I have never thought Ethereum will drop again but if will then I'm very confident that it will pump up hard and surpass the previous price. That is the best advantage of a top Altcoins.

You should wait and see if it dips because bitcoin right now is looking to break the $10,000 mark. Let bitcoin reach that price and observe if there is a correction when it reaches that amount.

Sure you must invest large into Ethereum, $500/ eth is best value for this blockchain. Maybe in 2018 can have $1000/ eth.

If you sure that ETH will continue its growth then go ahead. But remember that you should never buy alts when they are on the top (imho 500$ for eth is a good price for now and I dont think that it will grow more so you might just lose your money).
If you are very new to cryptocurrencies then better don't buy anything for at least 2 weeks and try to understand how it works without any advices.

If you have the time for a long-term investment, then GO invest. By all means Ethereum is a solid project with a great team and real world use. There is a reason why it is ranked the #2 largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, it is the future. Speculators often predict that one day Ethereum will surpass bitcoin's value because it's technology is far more advanced.

Ethereum will continue to impress us because of the graph charts that has been improved since the 3rd quarter and will increase more before the end of the year. We are about to be excited what will 2018 would bring into Altcoin world.

I think ETH is a good investment right now. If you look at ETH/BTC all time high exchange rate, it reached 0.147 BTC. Right now we are just sitting at 0.049 BTC. There is still a lot of room for ETH to grow before it reach its old ATH or surpass it. If development continues and fewer bugs are found, it can reach that price again in the future.

I think you made a good choice, ethereum is really promising this years like bitcoin it is consider to be one of the strong alt and was expected to grow even more higher in the coming years says by many speculators. If I were to invest also I would go on ethereum and bitcoin through this I can maximize my earnings while waiting for the good pump.

I think now price is growing very fast and near to Christmas Holidays ETH and other alts will go down.

I don't think the price of ethereum will fall again so invest on ethereum as soon as possible to earn more profits.Ethereum is looking most promisable crypto after bitcoin so it is good to invest on ethereum.But you can try to invest on some other altcoins too like DASH and litecoin these are also looks like potential coin next to ethereum so they will give good profit in long-term investment.

the big investment in ethereum is not a problem because ethereum has proved that ethereum is a big coin in the world of cryptocurrency. so the risk may be minimal if investing in ethereum.

i agree investing into ETH because it already proved its name to the crypto market and the stability of it. Also the price is keeps on increasing because of the continuous support by many. so if you want it then try it. who knows, by early next year, it might reach $10000.

During the previous bull run of alts which started with ethreium, I watched it grow from 60 USD to almost 300 USD. And I did not buy it when it was 60$ thinking that it was at all time high. Don't make the same mistake that I made before.

Depends a lot on your aims and your faith in the coin, just like with any crypto. If you intend to hold ETH for more than a year, then it does not make much sense to wait for good entry points because you are banking on hundreds of dollars of profit, not tens of dollars.

If you want to make a quick turnaround, then yes, wait for the dip. If it goes up some more, which it probably will, you lose out but you do not lose money. If it dips, you buy at 10% or less and can look for quick scalps when it returns to ATH. It probably will, also.

If you have no faith, stay away.

Even i am holding ethereum once bitcoin price start to crash definately ethereum will pick up no body can give promise for investment but based on my speculation eth will reach atleast 1000$ by next year . As i bought eth using bitcoin i dint find much profit till now because the invested bitcoin only having more value than ethereum price. But investing using USd or other currency should be worth .

The way things are looking for Ethereum, its unlikely it will lose value now. Best option will be to invest BIG now and get some profit before it goes too high and more difficult to invest in.

Many big money or financial institutions have to buy a lot of the eth, because of the development and promotion of the eth did a good job, and now the ico good has come, through the intelligence of the eth contracts, more people will buy the eth.

there is no high price. u can also invest 100 usd and get a share of 1 eth. thats the possibility in crypto.

I'm not a trading expert, and I do believe in some projects, so I expect the prices of bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, and some other coins to increase more, but right now, most coins are touching their ATHs so it's really hard to tell what is going to happen. They could just keep rising, or we could see a correction. No real technical announcements happen in the last days, and this bulish run is either because of an increase of awareness and adoption, or people are just excited with the Bitcoin futures approach. I think you should invest, but save some in case a dip happens, and then you can invest some more at a better price.

I like Ethereum, but I would not put everything into one coin. I'd be happy with something like 40% Bitcoin, 30% Ethereum, 30% assorted other alts. Always keep some btc!

If it drops it will drop only a little, but then it will rise again, thats what the pattern in the graph shows. Its slowly moving upwards. It will reach $600 by 2018.

I agree, putting all your investment into one coin is not the wisest idea, even if ethereum shows some promising growth and even if poeple are saying that it is a good time to invest in it, still you should not invest all of your moeny into it hell even you should not even invest all your money into bitcoin, you have to be wise when it comes to cryptocurrencies, you have to know where to put your moeny, dividing your cap on 3 or 4 coins can get you some profit , the way this works is, one coins goes and another goes down you would still be making profit from both sides. rather than just being tied to the fiath of one coin and not earniing anything when it is down.

How are people predicting future ETH price movements? It looks pretty volatile, looking at the historic data.

if you think that ethereum has a promising future and good for investment go ahead make your future with the alt.

But all i can say is investing in ethereum has to be needed a long term dont expect a quick money .for you to reach you goal earning money in investment 1-3 years of time must be alot not as when you wanted it to

I've invested at 400$ price level. I think that it should grow much higher than 500$ in few weeks. So just do it and go to the moon ;)

I think now is a perfect moment to invest into ETH because it's going to grow up to skies because of further changes that will be made in its algorhytm...so, I'm sure that it will be a decent decision to invest in ETH now.

Yes, stratis I have kept my eye on and invested into! I have also looked into nexus and Ark! but haven't invested as much!
 

Today isn't to late to invest large amount of money before entering 2018 because this last quarter is the best quarter of Ethereum and other top Altcoins.

Better to do more deep research about ethereum price speculation. Some channel group said, price will more higher than today. Maybe will cross around $700. But i suggest to wait a few days, and see price a bit lower.

I do believe Stratis has a good future too. In parallel of the top Altcoins that is recommended for investment before 2018, Stratis is indeed playing well along with Altcoins. If I'm going to invest Altcoins today I would choose Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, LiteCoin and Stratis for long-term investments. I know my future would be perfect if I started to invest today.
Crypto-Currency is something that will give us the chance to prepare out future because this is the future of economy and trade.

For those of you who are new to ETH, the ethereum was trading easily at 0.09 to 0.14 btc range a few months before. Then we saw bitcoin rise and all the alts were down including ethereum and it went as low as 0.04 BTC.  Now many people are saying that ETH is rising high but in reality it is still down of what it was priced few months before. I will like to see it grow all time high value and move further from there.

get in to eth under $500 as much as you can. i've been telling people the same when it was at 250, 300, 350 and 400. it went from 365 to 470 in the space of a few days. this isn't a flash in the pan. people are finally beginning to see just how important ethereum will become.

The price is at its ATH value in the format of USD, in the format of BTC its price should make 2x to catch up with its old BTC format ATH value. If you want to invest in ethereum like 1-2 years, the price is still nice. Holders are gonna earn too much from it.

Any coin can be traded easily but looking for the profit is the matters in the trading platform. We need to check the price movement frequently when we are involved in trading. If you find the value more than you invested in trade for sometime.
Try to utilize that time and sell the concern you have opened a trade. You will be profitable else the time ends for the day you have to go with the whatever you see on that time.
Try to utilize the price movement to your favor then the trade will be in your hand always.

In terms of value, the price of etherum has decreased compared to a few years ago. But take a look at what happened over the past few weeks, we've seen a tremendous increase, when bitcoin prices are rising very high. This has all shown us all that etherum can follow bitcoin and trends etherum has a very high level of popularity in the world of digital currency.

I agree with you, Ethereum is second currency it can easily follow the path of bitcoin and the way it has increased, I think it can easily hit around $1000 and more by mid 2018.

Its risky to invest huge money in Ethereum as price can go in any direction in future so its better to invest only small amount in it and rest should be invested in bitcoins to gain higher profits in future.

Ethereum is always a great investment. High or low price. Simply because it has still so much room for improvement. Amd that is an undeniable fact. Just invest small parts of your monthly income. And go big on dips. You will surely reap rewards in the future if you do not panick and dump your possessions.

Investing in general in Ethereum is a good thing, investing largely in Ethereum now is a great thing. Since it's on a rise and still on a positive path, you can profit from it.

It is good to find a new coin that you know that easily pump then find another coin again. If you invest you coin on the coin that you didnt know, it is a high chance that can double your money or coins rather, but it is a high risk because if the coin you bought is become shitcoin, goodbye to your money.

I dont think you have to wait for drop before buying etherium.
I think this time etherium will not drop again and just go high.

I advice you to observe the charts if you are waiting for a drop. If you think that it will, then wait for a bit. It will be safer for you to be less anxious about every drop that could happen. But in my opinion, it is wiser if you diversify investments. And ETH is one good investment. It has a good future. Also recommend LiteCoin.

Ethereum it's a safe investment and pretty promising, very few chances it's going because of all ICO's launching on ether's smart contracts.

I guess your decision is absolutely correct. Do it now and do not wait for any drop of Ethereum. I do not think the probability of its rollback is very high. I would stake that it will grow over $500 again very soon.

Ough OP I really think you need to diverse your investments. Sure ETH is a FANTASTIC coin but it will not hurt you if you spread your investment to say 5 different coins. Never put all your eggs in one basket and for that I am grateful that I atm have IOTA and DASH among others like ETH and BTC.

I do not think Ethereum's price will go below 400 dollar. Because the new limit for Ethereum is 400 dollar. There is no doubt that Ethereum will exceed 1000 dollar in the near future.

I would not be so sure because there is no guarantee that bitcoin will not fall to $ 5,000 and will not pull an ethereum

if you wait too much you will end up not buying at all and regret more later. ethereum is one of the safest choices, especially for new investors. even if it goes down you won't lose your money if you decide to hold them, like everybody else here. we hold ethereum for long term and our cost is relatively low, but ethereum is still cheap and it has a long way to go.

I think you as a new investor into the space, you should be thinking long term, if you are looking for flipping you might get burnt, also don't put all your egg in one basket, it is very important

It dropped down into $400 almost, but this was only a temporary action for ethereum investors. The taget in the long term will be $900 next year and this target is not hard to be taken down by ethereum.

i think it will drop again of become stable in 400$+ if your thinkin for long term you can buy now or little by little
i think eth will hit 2x next year but i hold bitcoin because i think it will hit more than 2x next year

Also, what makes it the best time to invest in altcoin is the fact that bitcoin price is soaring, thus it can purchase a lot of alts.

That's a good idea, but I think it might be better to put some money into bitcoin as well.

Ethereum is good for investment, there are also other good cryptocurrency or Altcoin also for investment that is Litecoin. Bitcoin is the best in terms of price, development, and popularity. But we should not underestimate or underestimate the price development of various Altcoin. Maybe Altcoin will follow in the footsteps of Bitcoin whose price has increased some years ago. And maybe, in the next 2 to 3 years, the profit gained from Altcoin can be greater than Bitcoin if we choose the right investment. If we look, there are already some Campaigns that pay us with Ethereum. Maybe they start to see the potential that is on Ethereum.
