We are approaching the end if 2017 and many of us wonders on will we see a major rise or fall on the cryptocurrency. By the middle part of 2018 and its last two months how much do you think will bitcoin worth? Thank you very much

I read somewhere before, according to some prophet the price of bitcoin will rise by $10,000 per year, which means by the end of 2018 thr price will reach some where around $30,000. How true that statement is nobodys know, but apparently all his guesses was pretty accurate but believe it or not it is up to you.

Scenario 1: Demand continues to go up; bitcoin's price will continue to rise.
Scenario 2: Demand drops, bitcoin's price goes stable for a month or more, causing weak hands to sell; bitcoin dips.
Scenario 3: Negative news about government regulation arises; bitcoin crashes.
Scenario 4: Another FUD spree similar to the Jamie Dimon case; bitcoin dips or crashes.

tldr; NO ONE KNOWS

Is likely to come up quite a bit, but as the friend said above: it is not impossible for him to go through a major correction or a low one, since we are going through a series of regulations for the crypto currency.

Don't forget the slowing of transactions with higher fees that stressing lot of holders and investors nowadays.
And still the lightning network is not into place meaning more of suffering and no assurance of what could probably happen.
I don't know how high fees will go up. Even converting BTC to fiat is too expensive.
I think it's harder to attract people with this kind of system.

This something we could not determined but rather we could only predict or speculate the price outcomes depending upon the volume of demand and changes of supply in bitcoin by December 31, 2017. So I guess this is something we are unsure of. But as for my predictions it could either go 20,000 or 21,000 by the start of the year 2018.

no one can predict/speculate for that matter, but i think the demand and supply will continuously increasing but we don't know what is the total amount in the 2nd quarter on the next year.

It could be 50000, But I am pretty sure, we will see a significant dip at the end of January - beginning of February, where all the big boys will want to get their bonus money. This is happening with every single market out there, and now, when bitcoin got connected to the chain, it will happen to Bitcoin. But we will probably see in excess of 30k before that, so as of now, I would say -- buy BTC

Although its not possible to predict with any certainty. The way things have gone lately, I'd say 50K is well withing reach by the end of 2018.
So lets just watch and enjoy!

This is speculated but my prediction bitcoin will hit $30000 or above because the demand keep growing and grow

it is never easy to speculate about bitcoin. both for short term and long term, that is how bitcoin has always worked.

my guess is that there is a good chance for a down time. possibly some drops and some consolidation. or even at the very least a small slow down in all the rallies that we have seen so far.
but I believe 2018 will be another good year for bitcoin. things are happening fast but they are happening and will continue to in 2018 and the adoption is growing fast because of the performance of bitcoin. we can expect at least another 3x rise next year too.

The BTC is raising prices sustainably, the end of 2017 will reach $20000 and the end of 2018 will be 35000. I love and hold BTC.

It depends on how people would take bitcoin seriously. Bitcoin follows the rule of supply and demand. As long as there is a demand the price will continue to grow.

       Actually,nobody knows when bitcoin price go down and when it will increase. All of us are just predicting how much the bitcoin price will be by this coming 2018. Bitcoin price is volatile and the only thing i know as long as there is a greater the,the price also increase.

As the BTC market becomes unpredictable, it's too early to give out predictions. Look at the events that happened this year, BTC started out at around $800 - $1,150. A lot of experts, traders and the general public foresee that it will just reach $10,000 before 2017 comes to an end. No one expected that it will reach $17,000 in the middle of December this year. Surpassing what previously forecasted. As you can see, this is the most exciting part with Bitcoin. There are events that might affect its price dramatically, whether it will go up and down, we might never really know when, where or how.

It is foreseeable that the rate of bitcoin price growth will be slow in 2018. It should be adjusted for a few months at the present price. There are too many profits in the market now, and I think it's not good to stop growing the fork in this way.

I think bitcoin at the end of the year will go down, then go into 2018, bitcoin will go up and reach the price of $ 35000 by mid 2018, and will fall again in the last 2 months 2018.

2017 is about to end but the price of every bitcoin continue to increase. The truth is that no one really knows how much it will worth. No one can really predict the price of it as 2018 come. Name the price you think, and it is possible that it can exceed that value. More and more people discover bitcoin making bitcoin's value to increase from time to time. As long as infrastructures around bitcoin continue to grow, it will definitely increase.

There will be a lot more institutional capital that will all go to the highest quality projects. That's what happened during the financial crisis with venture capital and growth equity rounds, too. Most companies could not raise any funds, but those that could...did it at really high valuations.

the general consensus is that the top coins will rise in value for 2018.

they being, bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, monero, zcash, neo, dash, iota, ripple, etc.

we have seen turbulent times this year with a lot of attacks on bitcoin and still it survives.

2018 will prove to be interesting times

Well, this is a the most common question nowadays and it's tricky because you can't really rely on recent trend, otherwise we should aim to reach 800/900% increase of price.
If BTC will continue hitting the stock market this would be a tremendous news in a bad or good way but for sure the BTC future is bright, definitely worth to keep investing in it!

bitcoin is our only very good life, with this my life is better than before, because at the end of this year many people are investing in bitcoin, so the price is very good 2x many times compared to the previous year's end. Moreover you are investing at the end of this year, you will be able to get more profit, because in mid-2018, bitcoin prices are very promising again.

No one can possibly know that or even can do a close prediction. We never even thought that we will see the price reaching $19k in this year, but it surprisingly did in just a month from $7k or $8k to $19k+ and now it can go either up or down in 2018. If it keeps going up, for sure it will cross $30k before mid-year, but if it got some corrections along the way, it will stay between $10k to $15k in my opinion.

With the way bitcoin is right now, I am sure a lot of people are taking it more than serious. Coinbase, bittrex,  bitthumb and some other exchanges have mentioned recently at the rate at which the number of users have increased like rain was busy falling to the point that some of them had to quickly do some impromptu upgrade. This is the level we have gotten and we still have a huge level we are going that would be massive and with that, bitcoin's worth is something no one can imagine right now.

In the middle of 2018, the price of Bitcoin could be between $ 20-25, because Bitcoin's lower volatility, but the etherum will see $ 1000 in 2018, because the investors started to go to alternative cryptomoneys.

It can still increase in value, maybe a slower movement that is happening now, but soo it can still increase more than expected around 25k to 30k soon, but in a slow progress with dips and more chance for altcoins by 2018.

the answer from me maybe simple, nobody will know how bitcoin works later even for the next 2 months people never know what will happen .
But if I may speculate, it will exceed $50,000.

Bitcoin can really be unpredictable which is why I think the given scenarios by mjglqw are all valid and are possible to take place. Despite nearing the end of this year with the rates at a remarkable state, things may totally be different in a span of minutes, even seconds in this platform because that is what Bitcoin is. We are all in high hopes that a crash or a huge correction won't occur as the new year starts. Hence, we are all looking forward for a better future for Bitcoin as it has benefits and profits to many. Whatever the future holds, may we be all ready for it.

No one knows how much it will take. Just keep on your mind that bitcoin will always raise as long as everyone is interested and many will invest next year, we will profit more then

Well since bitcoin is volatile i have my own speculation, bitcoin will be still trending so the demand will be increase more so the price will increase around $20k to $30k but there is possibility that we will see large drop this coming quarter of 2018..
So better to get ready for the huge drop and expect the price to increase burst again..  This is just my own speculation i just following the movement of the price from last year that i think it could happen in 2018.

No one knows how bitcoin in the future, they just can prediction about the value. We know bitcoin is not stable yet.
But bitcoin still good investments in cryptocurrency. Bitcoin can help unemployment to do the job and get income from bitcoin.
That's will help their country to reduce unemployment problem.

One should not even be expecting a huge correction now and for those who are still very optimistic about a crash, I hope they do not end up telling their children's children the reason why they ended up missing out on the bitcoin train was because of a crash they were waiting for that never came.

The truth is no one knows, but right now, bitcoin seems to be solidly doing well and in 2018, if things keep going on the way we have been having it, despite all the FUDs we experienced this year, then we are sure in for a huge long ride to the moon.

1 & 2 can possibly happen. 3 & 4 though is something that one should not really expect that much but like you said no one knows.

However, the reason I am saying that is because for 3, it would really take a whole lot of huge crazy negative news that would get bitcoin dragging down at this stage after all the news that the government and media have created just to cause some crazy shits, but the value just keeps rising. Also, for 4, that would be the last of their kind and I am sure they already know that.

We are all not sure about what will be the price of bitcoin by next year which is 2018, even the best person on analyzation could not answer that, because bitcoin is depend on all people out there who wants to invests/buy or sell their bitcoin.

There are so many factors that could affect the bitcoin's price. Just like in the past years, we didn't expect that it would boom into today's tremendous price. I just say that we couldn't predict or assume the price, but I assure that it will go higher, maybe double or even triple! Bitcoin is becoming popular all over the world this year, so I think big investors will take the opportunity to try and adapt the system of cryptocurrency next good year.

Your prophet is wrong bro! No one can really predict what will happen with bitcoin first and with the price rising $10,000 per year, I think you need to see the extent that bitcoin is increasing now and the trend going upward. This is not the bitcoin we used to have before and so far, we should be expecting some rapid growth if the wall street guys do not keep it coming at us.

Let us hope the demand continues like this, and from the look of things it seems the bullish trend is not over yet and we may be seeing some full stop maybe around $23000, but who knows ?

By the middle part of 2018 and the trend following this pattern, then we should expect probably some $80,000 - $100,000, give or take but we cannot just imagine smooth rides going on just like that.

Anything at this moment is uncertain because the market is witnessing the situation of increase and decrease in prices simultaneously but the speculations can be made that prices will surge to $40-$50k in the mid of the next year quarter and end of 2018 but one thing is sure it will recover from these obstacles and grow to huge points so just relax and witness the histories to made.

Bitcoin is depending on different factors which can cause the price of bitcoin to increase, I think the first reason is the interest of the people, if the interest of the people in bitcoin will continue increasing in 2018, then the price of bitcoin will hopefully continue increasing for a long time. In fact bitcoin is still very new and a lot of people who are getting knowledge about bitcoin are investing their money in bitcoin therefore we are hopeful that bitcoin price will even continue increasing their price even in 2018.

I do believe people expectation is on $100k since bitcoin has shown that from $1,000 to $20,000 isn't hard to reach.

I don't know exactly , noone actually. But if you look at how massive the demands on bitcoin , i will remain confident.

Well, no one say exactly what will happen to Bitcoin in the coming year 2018 although the expectation is that Bitcoin value will continue grow but thsrethere's a tendency that the value might decline also so, it is a two way things.

It will jump to over 30k trhat is for sure, i dont think it will reach 100k though, maybe not even 50k, that is a huge mark

40000$ will happen in just starting month if 2018 and next year will be future decider of bitcoin that what will be next coming of it and I think bitcoin will grow more strong and precious as well and all this will meet a high shore in in next year bitcoin will reach to those region who didn’t know about bitcoin and their people will invest and will become part of the rising and earning side so next year will be full of money.

Don't be that optimistic, you can't predict it accurately all the time since it has many different price patterns. From my approach, it can hit up to $22,000 next year as a new record price. Let's wait and see.

I can only assume how much will from mid-2018 and later. I guess the price can still climb higher than it is now. My tip for the bitcoin cost is $20000 to $30000.
But no one knows, at the beginning of this year I would not believe where the price gets today, so only estimates.

In the last few days bitcoin plays around 16K USD up to 19kUSD, but starting yesterday bitcoin is down up to 14K USD. I think this is the major fall. There are still eight (8 ) days before this year end. I still hope that bitcoin will recover and continue recovering until early January. Every week bitcoin’s direction changes so there’s a possibility.
By the middle of 2018, I think its price is already in the range of 20K USD. Everybody expects that bitcoin will reach 20K USD in first quarter of 2018 so as I. By the end of 2018, I am thinking about 23-25K USD. but my prediction may change according to what is going happen next year.

No that is just some false information being shared around. There is nothing like it. Where the $10k price increased in this year and then in the next and the next one too. No that is just a roamer which isn’t true. If this is going to be happened, brother bitcoins are declared as the strongest currency of the world. Well, I think bitcoin is hitting the value of 18k - 20k by the year 2018, for my speculation only. It's price will continue to increase. Due to the increasing number of believers and using bitcoin. Actually, based on my observations, there are also many interest in bitcoin, because of the money it causes people. Bitcoin gives a lot of help to people today.

Yeah the best bet is $20k by easy to mid 2018. Bust considering how quick the previous jump to $20k was I wouldn't be surprised if we see $20k in January itself.

People have been making predictions that $20000 mark will be reached by the mid or else by the starting of the year 2018. I have been thinking of the price to reach $20000 by the end of the year, though few days were left I strongly believe in it.

Indeed. That is why too many btc forks are happening and too many ICO with big backers are coming to replace bitcoin. But even that obvious flaws bitcoin still managed to stay at the top. I really dont know what explains that phenomenon.

Yeah everything here is depending on the ending price of 2k17 and if it will be good and I am sure it will be quite good then I am sure that price will go more higher in next year and if unfortunately it goes down then struggle will be required to bitcoin to overcome that fall values and I think investor will never let crash happen and most of it people will unite to give bitcoin strength as well and it will be growing more in 2k18.

I think bitcoin will rise, but still following the pattern of 2017. Once the bitcoin protocol can overcome it's transactional fees, it is most likely that people will return to store their hard end cryptic stash worth.

In my opinion, It is expected that in the beginning of 2018, Bitcoin will rise in a fast way but there will be many stages leading to a jump in the price (I guess that this could be done in February or mars), and in that period maybe the value will become $40,000 or $ 60,000.
Furthermore, At the middle of the next year the price will be volatile (Maybe there will be a decline of 20%).
In otherwise, I guess that at the end of next year there will be a big surprise in the value (The price will be close of $100,000).

You may think that bitcoin could move in a predictable way but if you take the time to look at the charts you will see that is not the case, I think bitcoin has the potential to go up in value in the next year but I will not be surprised if something else happened if bad news appeared in the next year.

Realistically, anything can happen, but we have come so far already, that whatever ends up happening, we'll always remain at higher levels than when we entered this year. Great example is how people were panicking when the market started to tank from nearly $20k to just under $11k, where they were acting like Bitcoin was nearing its end. People however discarded the fact that regardless of how much we have gone down, that we at the bottom of the most recent dump were still up like 1000%, and this wasn't something people were thinking about. For them it was nothing more than a bursting bubble, while in reality not much has happened.

I think the bitcoin price is going to grow more further in the middle to the end of 2018 because bitcoin normally used to do that. if you look at the past bitcoin price chart over the years, you'll see that bitcoin price take a continues growth from third quarter to the forth respectively.

Bitcoin is quite unpredictable, and if we analyze the whole growth and fall of the Bitcoin price last year, then no one expected Bitcoin to be able to beat its maximum value of 20,000 dollars by the end of this year. Therefore, in 2018 everything is possible.

If I see current of situation, to be honest I not really sure if bitcoin can reach more than $ 20k in 2018.. in last week of 2017 bitcoin prices are more often go down than go up.. we can only hope bitcoin will continue to increase in 2018..

In early 2018, I expect an increase in the cost of bitcoin. I do not think that it will increase 10-12 times, as in 2017, but about 50,000 is a very real amount.

Which means that we need to go with our instincts, with the price so high I would not mind if the price crashed and went down a lot so it gave me that chance to buy even more bitcoin but if bitcoin keeps skyrocketing I will not complain since bitcoin is close to make some of my dreams to come true.

I think 2018 will be the year of bitcoin because the price raised about 15000 dollars from august 2017 and it is a big rise. There were just a few months in 2017 and it gained such a high price and it will have a full year for growth which is 2018 and I am pretty sure that bitcoin will reach to 30000 dollars till the end of 2018. People are investing their money in bitcoin for earning more and more and this will be the cause of increase in price.

Different people have different thoughts about crypto but I think that the world is turning towards crypto and many people are investing in bitcoin because it is the easiest way of making money while doing nothing. Everyone wants ease in his life and this is the place where they will be mentally relaxed with their investment. The investment is increasing and so will be the profit.

Its unpredictable because bitcoin is always trying to do something extra and I’m hundred present sure that in 2018 bitcoin price will go more high not only it will arrived to many countries but also it will be accepted to some rich companies because world realized that bitcoin is very important for it and even social medial also start accepting bitcoin which will give more energy to bitcoin so I’m sure that 2018 will be the lucky year for bitcoin.
