To make a project successful I think you need to hire a campaign manager that will do everything you wanted. Campaign Manager should tell to the members of a bounty, that they need to promote that project once in a week or twice that is a rule. It depends on what you define as 'successful'... If your only goal is to get as much funding as possible, then it's easy, just spend a lot of money on promoting your ICO on different advertisement channels and you're done.

If you want your actual project to be a success, you need to invest more into the development of your idea. If you have a great idea and a working prototype, the rest will follow.

This clearly states, all depends what is success for all of us. Do you count project as successful one if you finish it or you will look at it as successfull if you see many many people using it. In my opinion Big marketing is a must since that way you will have others to talk about your project, idea needs to be okay - it doens't need to be something revolutionary if you know how to handle and do something better than it was done. Other than marketing yoou need to show people that you really care and that you are giving everything from yourself/company to make this idea an reallity this includes but is not limited to goig to blockchain evenets and talking about your project and getting others interested.

yes you are right !! i would advice something like give the investor something to real to hold on:)
like give him some gift ,for example: bitcoin and crypto Atm debit card,so this is not even difficult to make.
and what you can do is if your investor will pay with this card in any  grocery store or shops,he/she will  get some

If you are an investor on their ICO then expect you would get tokens out for those $$$$ you have invested to.If you are a bounty hunter then you would really receive on tokens too and talking about payout then theres no fixed on usd form on how much they would allocate and come to think off that their prices wont still be on how much estimated once it do hit on exchanges. I think the secret to a successful program includes the following elements:

I don't know which strategy has what conversion rates. For me personally, I prefer the following.
- Having a clearly stated project whitepaper (I usually understand some ICO project well only after the release of their platform. Not just by reading whitepaper. Maybe that's my weakness, but I'm sure it's somehow same with most people)

I think for a project to be successful, the management of the project has to be sincere in their dealing. Also, the marketing department should engage all vital tools of marketing strategies and have a well-articulated Roadmap that would be easily digested by prospective investors. 

It is really tough to say about the factors that contributes to an ICO success.
However, a good team and advisory panel, clear explanation of the product in whitepaper, sufficient number of articles to explain the project development and a responsive social handle, are some basic factors to contribute to an ICO success. ;)

It will always start with the problem you want to solve. Designing your project based on the real need of the users and keeping in mind the impact it will create. What important is how you promote your product, expand community and users. Of course, your product has to give users valuable things.
