In last 24 hours whole cryptocurrency market is crashed and lost 30% of its values ( including bitcoin and other altcoins).

So it can be a good time to get in or maybe its time from when bitcoin starts to fall.

What are your views on recent crash ? share your advise and reasons.

It's normal after what happened in the last months so it's ok , don't panic. Be ready to buy even lower and also this is a good time to invest into ICOs or alts. There are great opportunities out there.

well, it is good for bitcoin because it puts an end to all the FUD which has been calling bitcoin a bubble finally and for good after the panic dump ended and price started to rise eventually.

but it is bad for altcoins because yet again it proves that they are not stand alone and they get  dumped hard each time bitcoin has some kind of drop!


it is time to stay away and wait for the dump to end and as soon as it was ended, you jump in and buy up anything that looks good and has the potential of reversal and big rise.

I think its normal crypto mate, segwit2x happens, thats why they were back down but don't be afraid of what happening right now because it will be back soon. Just grab this upportunity to buy some more of it and hodl

For me, this is an excellent opportunity to buy bitcoin because it is now not expensive and a few more altcoins that also have become at a better price.  And in the future I think that the growth will continue and there will be higher prices for all coins. But need to be very careful in your choice

This called a profit taking. When everyone try to take or cash out their profit from the crypto market and there will be a huge sell to the bottom but in another side it could be a good to the traders to buy the more altcoin or bitcoin.
But you must try to learn a lot about TA and FA.

Many people especially from US took mortgage loans to buy BTC.. Obviously there have to be a huge amount of panic selling already happening which pushes the price even further down...

I agree with your opinion. This is certainly the reason why people sell all altcoin and BTC because these two events greatly affect the psychology of investors. I think after going through those two events, Bitcoin prices will rise again and possibly hit a new milestone

It is very tricky time tough. Is the market turning to down trend or is it just retracement for the recent rally? It is hard to know and to me it looks very risky to invest more at this point. I'll wait and see clear signals about what to do.

Crypto market is crashing maybe probably because of the holidays coming . The big player to this massive crashes is its father , BITCOIN :( We can only hope that he could regain on its feet and together they will rise with the other coins .

One thing a newbie like you needs to do is to know more about crypto currencies. Read more man. This questions can be answered just by looking at the past charts of some altcoins or to bitcoin's charts. Knowlege is power man. Most specially when you are in the crypto world. So invest more time in learning first than making blind investments.

But for what it's worth, ill tell you that this happens a lot. And is completely normal which you shouldn't worry about. It is a great time for investors.

We hit fibonacci  %38 level and start to increase. This is just a correction and we will hit %50 fibonacci support line.

Probably should have took some profits while sitting around 19k but thought I could hold on longer.  With the massive drop I am just going to hold on and buy a little more every week or two.  Hopefully by adding a few coins here and there through mining this wont feel as bad to look at as it did first thing this morning.

In my own  market opinion, I think this is time to start buying. It's the time every serious investor is waiting for. Bitcoin is building the energy to now to soar higher later. Trust my words.

That is right. This is the part of trading. All the markets work in the same way. They go up and down like ocean tides. Nothing in this world goes up steadily. It always go with the waves. As long as btc stays above 10K band, trend is still up imo.

Difficult to say when the crash will be over, but if you get the right timing you can make a great buy. It will take some more days I guess.

The entire market has crashed to a large level. I thought that the price won't go low to $15000, but things has taken place in the opposite manner making a big change in the entire growth. Only few number of altcoins were described with the green signal whereas the entire cryptocurrency market is in red. Expect to retain the value in a short, soon a large level panic will be felt around the market.

Yes, this rumor is being told everywhere which makes me doubt about if it is true or not. Only thing I can tell at the moment that is a bit early to think that market is crashing. If you draw your trend lines for btc you will see that is still up trend.

Fibo 61% and a doji with large shadow would be a good confirmation of the end of the fall in prices. That is if the uptrend continues.

Bitcoin is just having a correction. This happens and as a result other coins drop. Just use this opportunity to get cheap Bitcoin or coins. Cheers!

This person has assumed that the uptrend will continue. So gave a safe fibonacci number to come to the spotlight where he didn't notice the quick upside move and it shakes buyers confidence and also didn't consider market panic. Just my 2 cents.

What is happening in the market is really bad for those who bought it in high price and good for traders this is what they want, they can buy at its lowest price then sell after the big drop

The whole crash is driven by bitcoin and the outcome also dependent on bitcoin, if bitcoin falls below 10k then there will be a huge crash throughout the whole market, if bitcoin can find its feet around 13k it can be put down as a correction and while alts will face the same it won't be so painful. Expect a little period of hurt, give the market some time to settle and then see where it's at and make your decisions about rather to invest or not.

I see many people said "cryptocurrency is haven of investors" "cryptocurrency is where make everybody become rich".... when cryptocurrency is consecutive increase its value and when cryptocurrency go down then they disbelieve in cryptocurrency. I think this is very simple. After a long time cryptocurrency is consecutive increase its value then it need adjusting to stable. I believe cryptocurrency will soon increase again.

I am not agree with your opinion as it is just a one day fall and it was expected as market was going upward very fast. This is the nature of currency market and ups and downs are always happen. Never afraid with fall because market again shoot up after this free fall.

There wasn't a massive crash in altcoin market though. Bitcoin makes the major part of that 30% overall cryptocurrency mcap reduction. Some major altcoins are down with minor percentage, not much a concern for someone holding coins before the recent pumping cycle. NXT and XRP are still holding good. This is the best time to get in more altcoins at this rate. Usually the altcoins go down when Bitcoin goes bullish or bearish.

i hope the market bounces back fast, personally i think it could take some time (days), at least its a good buy option for all newcomers that came into crypto these days ,  hopefully they waited patiently for that first real dip today

THe same thing happens everytime bitcoin goes down a little bit. People go crazy and think bitcoin will crumble. How long was bitcoin below $10k for? Then it shot up near 20k and now is 14k, so what if it went down we still up by 4k. If you a long term holder you should be happy. Short term holders could have lost money but only now, just hold on bitcoin will go up again.

Totally agree with you. People who have recently come on the market of cryptocurrencies, do not understand what the correction is. I've been watching the cryptocurrency market and see that it happens regularly. Experienced investors are waiting for the drop to buy cheaper. Many even take an active part in the depreciation of Bitcoin.

Its a good thing as we really needed this correction,bitcoin was way overvalued on the futures hype and alts followed on the price action.Good things about this is that this is a correction not a bubble bursting and this time alts went down same % as btc instead ussualy going down way harded like x2-3 times

I would not call this a crash!! It's just the normal behaviour of crypto. Sometimes just overnight, prices can rise over 50%. Bitcoin will never crash!! and crypto will also not collapse. Stay calm and let's see crypto take its natural course. Prices will increase some days later

The crash of this cryptocurrency market its a normal like now just wait till the right moment. my advice is wait till the market got really crash, or if you think that its the right time to buy the coin then buy some of them like half you gonna invest and if the market goes down again just buy it again so thats your investment dont get to much loss.

I think it is a year end preparation for another big hit in crypto currency market I will not panic and keep holding bitcoin I know fluctuations are part of the cycle and what we currently experiencing is an open opportunity for people to invest. This is too early to say,cryptoworld is too volatile,it goes up and downs in just a blink of an eye.Its morelikely a big correction after a month of bull runs.

Its just a 30% correction. It happened like 4 times in 2017 already. People just panicked because it was a 6k price correction, instead of the usual 1k correction.

Right now every coin in the top 100 on Coinmarketcap.com is positive.  Never seen that before.

I think it is the time for us to know what the bottoms and Resistance for each coin so we can invest better next time.

You could open every day new thread and say "market is crashing" "all green" "all red" "all green" and so on. Today all altcoins increased their value, including bitcoin, probably tomorrow we will see reds. It's how market works.

Even though the fall was between 30% and 50% in some cases, I wouldn't call this a crash. Everyone was asking for a correction for a long time, and I think this is quite healthy for bitcoin and alts. It's a way for investors to show their support and confidence for buying the dip, and allowing a recovery. Weak hands are leaving crypto because they were not ready for this volatility, and strong hands can now profit some more. Crypto world always gets stronger after these dips, so I'm glad it happen.

This happens a lot and if you have been around for over 6 months you will have been through a so-called crash.

It is a good thing as it allows people to invest in the dips and support the ecosystem. All I know is every time there is a crash, a few weeks it comes back stronger.

There is no need to panic. All coins have gone up and up over the last month or so. Because they have gone up for a long time, they haven't had a chance to establish a stable base - which is what they are doing now. It is far healthier for a coin to retrace a bit and establish a solid price point - if it keeps going up, then when it goes down no-one knows how far it should fall.

Increases and declines are very likely to happen. so do not ever experience a sense of panic because then it could have an impact on the development of digital currency, panic sell will only aggravate the condition. All we have to do is stay calm and wait for the price to go back up, it's all in need of good patience. But I believe with the calm of the digital currency market will not crash and will even experience a gradual improvement.

Personally, I love these crashes. Not only do I get to take profits on what I have and rework my portfolio as much as I want. I also get a great opportunity to buy more BTC, ETH, LTC or BCH at a good price too. I am completely sick of banks holding deposit money forever, and will make the switch completely to crypto as soon as utility companies, insurance companies, and other places I need fiat currency begin to accept these cheaper and alternative forms of payment. Banks are digging their own graves when they pump these fake news stories about Bitcoin crashing.

LOL. A crash was when BTC went from > $1,200 to the $200 area in late 2013 / early 2014, around the time of the Mt Gox scandal. This is a correction.

When I hear the term crash, automatically mind says that the community is growing. Market crash happens with everything, with bitcoin, altcoins as well with market shares. I agree. This happens quite often in the cryptocurrency market; one second everything is going up, and the next, everything is down. The market, especially in this market, every thing is just so unpredictable, amd often times, it is too hard to guage what would happen next. If you remember last October, many are saying the same, and then by next month, bitcoin surged and it almost tripled its value. So, just keep at it mate.

Yes. It is crashing because of so much FUD news spreading everywhere. Those influential people are telling something to make people fear of investing in cryptocurrencies. That is why it cause the market to crash.

 Good cryptos will eventually regain their value & shitcoins will suffer huge losses.
I will invest in strong and reliable projects as a result of my research because people are less likely to dump them in higher volumes. "Price really depends on demand & supply" so they are likely to dump less compared to other cryptos.
I will hold my main coins like BTC & ether because the price will normalize & the dip wouldn't be too much compared to coins with a lower market capitalization & less stronger community

That's the way cryptomarket exists today - it's easily affected by various news and signals - that's not good at all, but I think that with time stability will come.

This is what usually happens in crypto market. But buying based on this is actually quite more risky than it looks. You might buy coins at a certain price after a fall but then the price might fall more thus keeping you in a negative position even after the price rise. You can't always expect the market to rise back higher.

Now bitcoin price is falling continuously by various reasons, affecting altcoin prices. Altcoin prices are also falling. It will take some time to recover.

This is very good news for me because this is the best time to go bitcoin and altcoin shopping,most of the people panicked that resulted to a bloody market which gave more opportunity to the people like me,gaving this big discount would benefit me after the bloodbath is ended.

Do they really think welp, that was probably peak of digital currency and blockchain technology.
I mean seriously... who are these people who think the prices aren't going to go back up eventually if they just hold?
Every time this happens I almost feel bad when the prices go back up again, because I know there are people who sold at that bottom, and they're probably not investors who only invested money that they can afford to live without.

Don't panic it is organic, just keep buying the coins that are on sales because that is the best opportunity to get some good cryptocurrencies in the market and if you have patience then you can just hold them for at least until next year and expect some good results with your holdings or portfolio.

I do see this as a normal occurrence yearly in cryptocurrency markets and even in regular business and market charts. There are always down season and peak season and its not healthy for a market to continue on spiking in value, cryptocurrency trading and investing is usually a test of faith and patience.

Difficult to say - what could happen next.

The market has always been volatile, so it is a bear stage with market cap going down. I suppose we just need to wait for the bull stage, do not worry.

This is not something that will crash all the way to the ground anytime soon.

It'd be nice to see a historical price increase aswell.

People got in at the last moment and thought that it'd go 10k to 100k the same way.

For some reason it doesn't show the 2011 crash? That's when I got into crypto. The price went from pennies to $25 and made some people rich and then dipped down to $2 and stayed there for like two years.

I kept meaning to put in $20 a week when it was $2 but didn't want to deal with Dwolla and Mt Gox so i procrastinated.

I always thought the crashes would lessen in severity as the market cap grew. I am surprised this crash has fallen as far as it has. This seems to counter the intuition that bitcoin volatility would decline as its market cap grew.

But even if we are think about all the very, very smart people (and tech people are smarter than your neighbor who thinks Bitcoin is a pyramid scheme) who predict a $1m Bitcoin in a few years.

The tech is going nowhere. This dip is being engineered by people who want to make money.

I don't think cryptocurrency market is collapsing at all. It might be just going down a little bit which it would easily recover if given some time. The values are going down because of price manipulation, news from the media, etc. there are a lot of other factors. The big whales who are trying to manipulate the price are doing it because they want to buy the coins at a lower price and hold them till they go up again, repeat. So, people who are panic selling are the ones responsible for their success and holding would be the wisest decision one can make at a time like this.

I think that this phenomenon is not new to the cryptocurrency market. Just previously the amount was less and it's less worried about people. Besides, now is really strong drawdown, but this is only a temporary phenomenon.

I think this situation is good for buyers. Coin owners having really stressful days for now, and I think they should be really patient.

I think many altcoins and bitcoin have great potential to reach good prices again and make their holders happy.

It would take a really massive fucking whale right now to reverse market sentiment and start a legit bull run. Anything less than that will just cause a bear trap, as we have seen a bunch of. We need a big institutional whale to just drop a hundred billion in the market and then boom, big bull run.

The market is not crashing but is responding to the several pressures surrounding it.

Crypto suffers from a severe lack of credibility and the recent boom of ICO scams might have been decisive in order to push legislators.

This market needs to be seen as a serious, honest activity. But right now a significant % of all the trading volume is wasted on shit projects.

That has to stop or else the market will keep losing investors.

Considering the crypto community has had multiple pieces of bad news in a bear market I think the market is greatly undervalued.

Whales and various speculators in the last two months have created panic in the cryptocurrency market in order to buy at the best price. Today there is a small recovery, but I am confident about a steady growth of the market in the coming weeks/months

I’m new to this market but it seams like it doesn’t take a lot of bad news to push the market down. Could be market manipulation from some big investors or institutions. Hopefully it doesn’t scare a lot of investors out of the market.

Its mostly bitcoin millionaire whales realizing that the run may be over. They are having that after thought of sticking around, after people are advising them to invest into hard assets like real estate and diversify into stocks and bonds.

G20 is positive (FBS statement yesterday clarified that G20 doesn't regard crypto as a threat at the present). But unless you believe G20 was the reason behind the 2018 bear market, then this is just a bump on the way down.

We should all know as an investor or bounty hunter, things can't just stay stagnant in crypto, we should also expect time like this, but i know in meantime, market will rise back to it potential
