I would go with 20k$ and I must say that bitcoin will never go that much low as you mentioned, the reason is bitcoin become popular and valuable day by day so how it will go that much lower?

The same here, i think that there are more chances to see bitcoin going toward $20k instead of $8k.
Anyway, i saw some charts today and a lot of people were saying that the price was going to be touching $7k because of all the FUD.

With the current popularity of Bitcoin today I don't see any reason for it to go back at $8000 or maybe I am wrong, but it's more likely to go up $20k or more next year, what is happening right now is a correction in price because there is no straight to the moon thing there are trials to be face first.

Once the whales push the price down low enough, the mad buying frenzy will begin and bitcoin will shoot up again.

I don't think price will fall back to 8000$. We have seen a correction now and probably we will see another one in the new year, but I think the new bottom is around 11000 or 12000$.

I'm curious why you think this. It's had a unbelievable rise this year and an unexpected stable price for a while what makes you think this isn't currently a bubble?

Either one of these is very probable, with the influx of new investors.

It is probable to see another dip toward $7,500 due to the "panic" and media coverage. However, it is also very probable that BTC is going to meet it's $20,000 if not $25,000 target soon too. If you see trend lines (visiting TradingView or Coinigy), the patterns signify that BTC will indeed bounce toward that range.

Why do you guys create these type of threads? I cant believe this. Still some are thinking that its price will fall back to 8000 dollars. Whats makes you think like that? please don't create panic among people. What we saw last few days was just correction and nothing else.

I think it could touch first 8000 but anyway then he will go to 20000 and higher, cryptogold can`t be cheap  ;)

I speculate $ 12,000 before 2018, and $ 20,000 after entering 2018. and I'm sure bitcoin will not go down to $ 8000.

I don’t believe on this, this is just a correction and it will bounce back not really soon. Better to buy bitcoin now or cry later, this is a good investment after all so think again. Bitcoin is the king of all crypto and it will prove to you that you are wrong, it will hit 20k for sure.

Price of the bitcoin is 13,500 dollars and we have only  1 week. Before I said the prics possible to become 20k dollars before end lf this year 2017. But as of now becuse of the bitcpik progress is slow I think it is possible to happen again in the month of january 2018 and I hope  the price will not back at 10k dollars lower.

I do not think that it will come below 12000$ i think the current price is the more attractive price for bitcoin to purchase and this will give a new boost to bitcoin price after Christmas, I think some people have converted their bitcoin into cash for christmass and after that when they will get their salaries i am hopeful that they will again try to purchase bitcoin as they will never like to miss the opportunity to buy bitcoin in such a low price, therefore i am hopeful that very soon the price of bitcoin will start increasing again.

Here's how today bought Bitcoin from 12,500 to 13,500, shows that the market has turned around and will grow again. Thus, a march of up to 20,000 will be soon enough to think.

Of course all of us wants $20k for bitcoin, we all want bitcoin price to pump but we can never know what will happen and no one can never know exactly what will happen in bitcoin price. Bitcoin is really unpredictable to be able to know. But I also think bitcoin will go up again next year.

the price shift is insane, i think bitcoin will remain popular for years and after this a  new generation of crypto will take a place .

8,000 US dollars is very unlikely to happen especially now even at the down time of bitcoin, the price of bitcoin has still not go down of 10,000 value so to answer your question the very unlikely thing that will happen is that the price of bitcoin would have a higher chance to go 10,000 than 8,000. And beside we should just be patient on the rise of bitcoin price after the holiday season.

It will hardly go down as low as $8,000. I think it is highly impossible. If indeed Bitcoin is still going much lower than its price today which is still around $13,000, then it will be ending at $10,000. Lower than that, not happening anymore. But if it ever happens, why worry? I will for sure pull out some amount of my savings and buy as much Bitcoins it can get. The price of Bitcoin is going to get cheaper so that others may join the party later.

I think it will go up to $20k it just a time wherein many people are cashing out their bitcoins that's why it turns to be badly increase-decrease on the market right now. Many cashing out and many take opportunities to buy some dips because they know that it will go up even more. It will first go to downside after analysis the market currently and looking at the needs of the people! Most of the market depth is on the sell side only and I'm sure this will not stay for much longer like that way.

After going down to 8-10k USD bitcoin will make giant moves upward side and then will hit your speculation of 20k :-) There are many possibilities of this happening and once in all it will take 2-3 months or it could be next month as well. Let's just hope that it happen in the next month only.

Well 20k is desirable number at the moment but also i wouldn't say its impossible for BTC to fall back to 8k , Anything possible with crypto world but seeing current popularity and Majority of user accepting BTC we can predict Only that it will not fall that far at least for now . The price of bitcoin will continue to increase. It will reach $ 20,000 in the future. There is no reason for bitcoin to fall.
Bitcoin price dropped slightly and it will shoot up again

We are standing at the point where bitcoin or most of the crypto currency is vulnerable to go drop hard. This hard drop will happen first before it could cross the 20K USD at all. This will follow from two to three days from now and firstly it will start moving towards 8k USD and then there will be stagnant market which won't move until people start gaining the faith that it's time for bitcoin to move up. This is the point where most of us will come back and will start putting out money into it.


Why would it go up and then come down again ? After reaching the market of 20k USD this time it will move only upwards because it already had correction and downward panic sell. It won't happen again.

In my chart $10k and $8k has a a strong support line if it dropped less than $8k it could go down as low as $3k to $4k.

Now my prediction it is unlikely to went down to $8k but if it does i will expect a panic and i bitcoin will continue its down trend. My real expectation is it will just be steady for now and keep accumulating until the next rally to $20k.

The both of them can happen anytime but for me, 20k$ price of bitcoin has higher chance that it will happen than the 8k$ price of bitcoin. Bitcoin is expected to crash because of the holiday season and probably sold some of their bitcoin. If the 8k mark will happen, most likely many of the investors will invest more into bitcoin and make its price shoot up again.

yes i smell the bull run too! bitcoin is going mainstream and the reason why it dump lately because people liquidate for the holiday season.

I don't look at the price that way. It's not either or situation. Correction or dump as you wish to call it could go even deeper than now, so up to 8000$, which I.personaly doubt, but that doesn't mean that after that it will not go all the way to 20000$. One thing doesn't exclude the other. But I think that in this round, by the end of this year, we have already come to the lowest point of price correction and that was 11000$.

I can see bitcoin going to $20K, but I do not see it going back down to $8k unless something drastic happens. For now I would bet on Bitcoin reaching $20K sometime next year (2018) for sure!

My guess is that BTC will jump up and down from 11k to 16k during next few weeks and then start new stable growing in the second week of Jan.

I'd go wit 20k. If history is any indication it usually crashes then soars back up. Crashes again but not all the way down. Then soars higher than it was before, breaking records.

bitcoin reaching $ 20k is currently very reasonable, but in the next few years bitcoin can reach $ 30k it is not impossible given the bitcoin supply is very limited in cryptocurrency.

Difficult question, we've already been there, but to reach such levels again, we need a lot of institutional money and major investors coming in. Not sure if that's coming by the next few weeks, as many expect, but by technical analysis of the chart, it seems there is potential to break previous highs.

Despite negative reports in the falling price of bitcoin by some media just to set in fears and panicks to new investors to dump bitcoin I don' t think the price can go below $8K there are  staunch investors who will never sell or dump or will continue to hodl against any backdrop whether the price is dropping or not I belief the price will pick up after the Christmas period.

I got two predictions on bitcoin for the coming years.

Actually, I am not to worry about this and if the bitcoin price drops until $8000, I can make sure to buy more bitcoin and hold it for a long time because I believe that the price will reach higher price in the future. I think every people that getting involved in cryptocurrency will understand with this and they will use their chance to buy bitcoin again while the price is down like today. but if I take a look in the chart and my own chart, there is a good moment for bitcoin to increase although it is not too high, it is worth for us to sell our bitcoin and make a profit.

I think it's time for a DUMP as the PUMP had recently occurred with the value of bitcoin reaching till $19k,unfortunately it couldn't touch the milestone of $20k.

Seriously? 8000$ is so low to even ask at the moment 13000$ is even the end dip and recovering. So I’m into 20000$ and that an easy choice. I think bitcoin will not go down to $8000 anymore. Bitcoin will set again its highest value this coming 2018 not just $20000 more than that. As we can see when bitcoin goes very down it always comeback with a huge pump and always set record.

Honestly, I believe it can reach to that amount, but not in 2020. If I'm not mistaken, many investors believe that bitcoin will surpass the market cap of gold. But if it do happened in 2020, and the transactions are still slow and high fees are not yet resolved, I don't see bitcoin as a new currency, I will only see it as an asset.

I think it will not go down to $8000 anymore as it already known much this year but its kinda hard for it to reach $20000. In my opinion, bitcoin's price would go sideways until the implementation of lightning network. Its value today is already proof that bitcoin is a strong brand in cryptocurrency world because of popularity and all the dramas that happened this year.

In my own opinion, The value of bitcoins is decreasing because christmas is done and does not mean that it will decrease up to $8k because for now it is already stable at $13k.  Just wait again for next year because the price is always pumping every december.

Reminds me of the situation just before the 2008-09 stock market crash. Everyone was overconfident about the markets and no one saw the crash coming. In the end, a lot of people lost their life savings.

Please write the basis of your price, is it just a guess? If I just guess, I believe that many people will say 20K, 30K or even 50K, which is also possible. But some people will predict 2K or even 1K, especially those who do not buy tickets.

If Bitcoin go back below 10 thousand dollars it is good for the market next price hike will be 25 thousand dollars for sure. We see that bitcoin is bearish right now and if it drops around $12k there's a chance it will hit $8k but I assume that next year it will hit $20k.

Bitcoin dropping to $8K is very unlikely to happen, bitcoin need to break the significant $10K psychological barrier and it's going to be though for BItcoin to break that level. But, if that could happen I'm sure massive selloff will happen, and bitcoin will goes down deeper.

I think at the present time it's hard to know that. Recently Bitcoin reached a value of 20k and then fell significantly. We are at the end of the year, week of many gatherings and many expenses, so that we can have an idea and raise evidence to say if it will be 8k or 20k (or some other value) we must wait 2018.

Don't feel panic for every correction the bitcoin takes, be confident and ride the trend till it exhausts. Right now the bitcoin is trading near 14k level and we are expecting it again to move forward to 20k levels and then make a new record high soon and the reason behind this increase in demand and momentum. I so doubt that Bitcoin will even go near $20k this year or early 2018. It has recently sinked because its price was too expensive for investors to buy given how 'well' it's performing in terms of speed and fees.

i think bitcoin price is too hard to going down $8k. If this is happen i will buy 10 bitcoin. Its very hard for it to drop at 8k most probably will rise at 20k or more in the next year.

At this moment, I think it won't be able to reach 20 000 USD before this year end since there's no enough days left. But I don't really think that it will go below 8000 USD. Panic sells and crashes happens when everybody expect a rise ( or huge rise ). but... the actual market price and chart, doesn't want to follow.
then people start to question the feasability of the pretended expected rise, and then people sell to avoid takingrisk, then it start to fall.



to put simply : if it does not rise as expected, then it fall. the real pain appears when people start to go into the "no floor fear".

btc to 7k or 8k is very possible. especially if bitcoin rise back to 15-18k, and proves unable to reach the 20k line.

but that is indeed obvious that even if bitcoin reaches 8k, 7k or even 2k, tons of people will jump on the opportunity to buy everything they can and thus make it rise much higher.

Agree , getting famous will lead to a high demand that also lead to high price . WE all know that after it pumps it will really dumps but what ever dumps it keeps coming back . The price right now is the result of the lately pump of bitcoin it really pump high enough so there is nothing to do so it dumps but later on  it will pump again. It seems hard for bitcoin to hit 20K, but dropping down to 8K seems even harder. The price will keep dropping, we've already seen 11K this month. However, the price will go up and down for a couple of days. Then it will probably collapse to 8K. Time to buy again, this will then create an uptrend and bitcoin could then reach 30K.

It's really hard to predict how much will bitcoin be. There are mixed signals at this current period. Last week it went up all the way to 19k and now it's barely above 13k. Going back to 8k is not expected or at least that's what we all wish, but it can be possible. We will just wait and see how it goes.

Bitcoin already hit 20k mark this year if everything goes off and we'll we should see price reaching higher.  But as most people will tell you it is your sole responsibility to invest since this type of investment has its own risk. Many will tell you and talk just at about price breaking new ATH aka all time highs but it could easily crush. In my mind I see bitcoin above 20k.

In my own opinion, It will stay from $13k dollars  to $15k dollars because there are still investors even the market is now dump and after a few months, I think that it will climb to $20k dollars slowly because the market will slowly be populated again by new investors this coming 2018 so there will be still a bright future for bitcoins.

I think bitcoin will go up to $ 20,000 in next year. I see in the graphic bitcoin every year increase.
I know bitcoin hard to predict, but still many investors invest in bitcoin, so I really sure bitcoin will go up to $ 20,000.

Bitcoins is not even going to sink as low as $10,000 in the first place, though there has been some issues with the fees these days which undoubtedly make the value of bitcoins go very down, I think once that it has been resolved, bitcoin is going to soar once again.

I think that Bitcoin will soon be back to $20000. Right now, we are having a correction which could be caused by future contracts and Christmas! A lot of people buy expensive presents for Christmas so no wonder why Bitcoin price decreased. In the next year, we will have cheaper and faster transactions (Lightning Network) so I wouldn't be surprised if the price didn't change a lot. More and more popular shops accept BTC.

May be.because anything can possible in crypto world. But personal feeling bitcoin never be fall so much . it would be $20000 very soon. $8000 will be so low right now. After crismass and new year it will high again hopefully.

1 WEEK AGO I SAID same thing price cant touch 10k because it will destroy all new investors trust. Why wouldwhales wanna destroy the ocean which is their home.

It is possible. When the number of unconfirmed transactions hit the 290,000 mark, the exchange rates dipped to $10,400 per coin. The prices recovered after the number dropped. But the core issue remains, as even now the average transaction fees is close to 830 Sat/Byte. This is an improvement from the fee of 1,000 Sat/Byte we had a few days back, but still I would say that no one is happy with the fee remaining at this much high levels.

20,000$ is more acceptable than 8000$ since correction happens and network back normally.

It's hard to predict the price of Bitcoin every now and then, because everyday the price is fluctuating. If Bitcoin price hit higher than what we expect for, then it's our pleasure.

Bitcoin will head for $ 20000 and will not return to $ 8000. Bitcoin is growing in popularity and the value of Bitcoin will continue to rise.

I think if the trend continues to be unstable until early 2018, then I guess the $ 8,000 price is not far because bitcoins will only decline with this kind of movement. However, if bitcoins do show a slight increase from today's price, then $ 20,000 will definitely happen.

I will surely be in the safe mode...it will not drop to $8,000 nor up to $2,000. As of this writing 1BTC= $14029.
This is due holiday rush, small investors will tend to cash-in there bitcoin for the holidays.
Now is the best time to buy if you have extra money to add your bitcoin.

Bitcoin will likely become 8000 USD or lower. It is because the bubble is approaching its limit to pop. Also, 20000 USD is a price that is so big that if bitcoin reaches it, it could only take hours for it to drop again.

Bitcoin is still the most popular and widely used. Although there are many altcoins now which appreciates faster, they  still can't replace bitcoin.

I think Bitcoin never falls below $ 10,000. It's time to rise. It may be $ 20,000 very soon  :)

Bitcoin climbed so fast, that we need to print the chart on log scale, its an exponential growth, we would have to be plain blind to not see its a bubble.

sure, everybody here want it to go to 20k mark. but saying it will, is just wishful thinking.

it may return to 20k or above, but it will surely touch the 7 or 8k again. to climb back and above, it would need more and more buyers... i hope all of you do realize, that the number of buyers, and investor is not infinite.

Right now bitcoin is sitting right in the middle at 14k so in theory bitcoin could go either way, but we know that it is more likely that bitcoin touches 20k again than 8k and this is for the reason that the interest in bitcoin is growing every day.

There's a probability that bitcoin could reach 20K. Right now there are price correction going on, the bitcoin has been dumping but I don't think it will reach at 8k, it is far enough from the price right now.

Unlikely to drop from here, it bas already stabilized at 13-14k so the correction has stopped. I would bet on a gradual rise right now, there is a possibility BTC doesn't leaving the 14-15k range for another few weeks.

Yes, it settled at 14k! That's 60% more than the price a month ago.
This is even the bottom of the dip!
Means I am right that when it surge up again, it will more likely to reach more than the 20k highest record.
