Title: WAVES still a good bet?
Post by: sn0oked on January 06, 2018, 05:52:50 PM
Hey guys,

I am wondering what's your opinion on WAVES? Looking at it the past weeks kind of makes me wondering if it is. Basically every Alt somehow got pumped pretty significantly. WAVES on the other hand somehow keeps pretty steady or looses value. Maybe it's just a wrong impression on my side, I would be just interested what's your take in its future :)

You correctly think absolutely!
He has very good potential and I think that this year he will at least make x10 this minimum!
He has a good potential!)

I think it is, although Waves' coin price is like a roller-coaster ride but it is a good coin that worth an investment. I hold twenty thousands of Waves but I choose to hold it until I need money to fund since of my projects.
Waves is indeed worth holding if you already have some coins.

Try to use their product like waves lite wallet, and this explain to you a lot. If they be able to add fiat currency their with banks and cards it can easily bet eth.

It's a good product and the CEO is making lots of good business links. I think it has potential to rise a lot in 2018 as it has matured, unlike new ICOs where it takes at least a year to make a working product that will make the price rise.

I use to hold 10,000 waves and sold almost all of them in November, best decision I ever made, as I have made 4x minimum on other projects and waves has lingered not ever really growing like other alt coins. Its a great project and it will do well, just seems to stagnate a lot for some reason. Moon will come eventually, but I believe there is better  money to be made on other projects currently.

Investing in waves was good idea like one/ two months ago but i still strongly believe that it will pump to the moon in 2018 so investing in it right now will give you some income imo.

I think that now Waves is worth to buy at a price below 10$. In the long-term it has great potential.Just give it a little bit more time. I also hope there will be more correction and I will buy more Waves.

Waves currently need a marketing campaign, since its the fastest decentralized blockchain.

Investing in waves now is still good, i was answering at thread like this one month ago and i recommended to invest in it, i will do the same right now, just invest.

WAVES is a good project but it grows very slow. I traded WAVES multiple times and made more than 15x but if I bought other coins I could've made much more money. I still hodl some WAVES and I believe it will go up to 100 USD in 2 years. I prefer other coins that have bigger rise potential for investing now. You won't lose your money with WAVES.

Waves is a great project especially when it is a platform for business and company to get into the crypto. The team is very transparent and they are many deals that are being worked on behind closed doors that have not been announced yet. Every crypto goes through cycles of up and downs, but would you have a HYPE coin like TRON (which is correcting hard right now) or a slow and steady increase? I would choose the ladder. Again 2018 we will see huge rises in altcoins and Waves has huge potential to 3x-5x this year.

Huge potential to 3x-5x??? Fix it to 10x-20x please, a bit more realistic!
Some shit coin having their time now (like rdd, siacoin, doge, xdn and so on).. But when the game will be over what remains? Almost nothing. Instead when Waves will rise will be supported by a great project, a real team with real partnership and more.
Try to look at the roadmap of this 2018.. You will find the answer of the OP.

I think it's still a good bet because we will watch an ICO peak in 2018 and WAVES one of the platforms for that.

I bought at $3.80 not long ago and now it's over $12. I think WAVES will goes over $30 to the end of the year.

Sorry but Waves is too slow now. Other coins made incredible amount of percentages in such a short time but Waves is swinging around 12-15 USD. I sold majority of my Waves to buy new coins and made instant profit. I would re-buy Waves when whole altcoin hype is over but it's not a good time to hold Waves.

Hi,

Of course very positive on WAVES ! My position on this one is locked for a looong time.

Just don't want to make any mistake on it, it's not gambling when talking about WAVES.

I gamble with others...

WAVES are an excellent coin that stably goes up. It seems to me that it is not in vain that this coin is compared with the ETHER. Perhaps this too will be such a strong project

Look at the buy wall on Binance for Waves right now, it's primed to explode. Added a couple hundred more today, if you're not buying this dip.....regret.

Every person will take their on opinion on this specially waves. Waves is like etherium and use smart.
In my opinion, waves is good altcoin to take as investment since its still low price and has big power and also the chance become a dragon is open.

Beat eth? They are never going to provide the same technology that ethereum has, waves can not provide smart contracts as the same quality as ethereum can do.

Waves has a descentralized exchange, that is true, and that is why they can not add banks in there. But they have visa/mastercard.

Waves is not going to beat ethereum, but yes, it is a good coin after all.

WAVES is definitely still a good bet, at least it is in my books. It has a long way to go, and hopefully will be able to compete as a platform with Ethereum and hopefully more companies will use it. Once that happens, it will take off.

I think yes, a lot of traders and investors suggesting to buy and hold waves, and in the end of 2017 there is a huge signal recommend to hold waves for a long term, from the beginning waves already got a lot of users so, definitely waves is one of the good coin to hold this year

i doubt WAVES will be competitor to ETH someday, but yes, it'a awesome coin for longterm. very promising roadmap, many partnerships and strong team behind. i'm holding it for several months and not going to think about selling till the end of the year at least.

I think Wave is 2nd Ethereum, but this version have lower fee on everything. Only 1 things Wave have not the same to Ethereum is not have big community and once the problem is solve then Wave to the moon.  ;D

But this exactly is making WAVES still one of the few top 'non-pumped like mad max' coins.
This is why I see a great value there and I'm holding.

waves is a nice coin to invest in the long term. If for short term itself is very less effective due to the movement of these coins is very slow and not good when to invest in the short term.

Both waves (and stratis for that matter) are both well positioned so that a small spark or announcement about a release or development will set them on fir and the price will rise hundreds of percent. Getting on board before that happens is key to making profit.

wow thats pretty cool. thanks for showing that chart because this could really help us motivate and to continue our full hearted support at waves because we now already know and see that waves is indeed a good coin with lots of potential just by basing on their roadmap. however id still also support other coins like etherium and ripple because they are also indeed a good form of investment not only in investment but also in other things like trading/exchanging . buying , selling , mining , etc.

I think Waves is a good coin to invest. There will be many important events for the project this year, so I think we will see at least x2-x3 growth, and maybe 100$ by the end of the year.

weves indeed pretty good for coins that are willing to invest. but not too good if used to throw capital due to the movement of these coins not as fast as other coins.

everybody says waves is still a good bet and will increase soon but it does not increase in the end. every coin is pumped in since christmas but waves decreased.
I think some whales are pressuring on the price and they are strong in bittrex. Just check the price of waves in bittrex and binance. Binance price wants to go higher but bittrex price wants to go lower, there is a quite difference most of the times. I consider this as some whales are activelyt pressuring the price in bittrex, but once they accumulate the quantity they need, they will pump  the price. But the real question is when will this happen and is it worth to wait for this

Wathes and eth have one huge risk they both depends on one person if something happen with Buterin or Ivanov it will be a disaster. Remember news about car crash with Vitalik last year.

I still believe that Waves had still guts to maintain it's existence and as being part of one of the strongest Cryptocurrency in the market.
I invested waves last year and dump when it started to dump so I guess it is still worth on investment because it has a good reputation as best player in the market.

WAVES is trickling up and imho is in a similar class of project to STRAT (which is already starting to rise beautifully).

I'm fully confident in both of these projects as they are not pump and dumps with clear roadplans and lots of expected announcements throughout 2018 which will continue to catapult their price levels to 3 digits.

The thing is that when altcoins lose value, especially altcoins that have strong projects and a great timeline ahead of them, you end up with a really good point in time to buy that coin. If you don't buy the coin while it's low, you'll never really have the opportunity to make money on the market.

Waves is a good coin that's been backed by many in this community and across the internet. They have some great potential, especially as ICO numbers increase. If you're looking to buy waves, buy it now and hold onto it.

waves is definitely a good bet, looking at how hyped all other worse coins. Waves has a good team, good community, working product and a solid roadmap. most of the small capped coins increased in the last week because of people's interest in kaing x10 gains.
but now it is turn for really good working projects; you have noticed the increase in smart contract coins such as etherium and neo. I am sure that waves is the next one to increase

Waves isn't a Pump and Dump Coin. You can't expect a 10x within a month.
It is a longterm Investment. So just take a look where the price was 1 year ago:
13.01.2017 - $0.26
...and where it‘s now:
13.01.2018 - $11.64.
 ;)

This is a long and successful investment. I also invested in WAVES when it was worth $ 5 and I still keep up to date, maybe the best thing I can do now is keep WAVES and buy more if possible. Because I really see the potential of WAVES, it does not have as much leap in price but is unstable of other altcoins in the market.

Waves is open of those coins that are always a good bet as long as you are willing to hold for the long term besides look at what it is happening to exchanges decentralized exchanges are the future due to the heavy regulations that are coming and as such I think we are going to see a huge growth of waves and similar coins.

I think waves coin still have potential in the future, as long as developers are active in the development of waves.
if you look at the price fluctuations chart, I think almost all the coins are decreasing, maybe this is the impact of bitcoin prices that keep rising.

I see in waves good option for investment - i bought about 1000 coins for 2$ each still this summer, that's super and still shows good potential for growth. I find in Waves very strong competitor for Ethereum and i guess Waves, NEO, BANCOR, Stratis will take away their a piece of the pie from ETH next year. So, be ready.

waves arent doing a great job marketing their updates, but that is (sometimes) a good sign :)
they need more real use cases for waves apart from being just another thing to track on cmc... so few ICOs done on waves that it almost hurts.

Because Waves has a pretty good economy,
the ease in making assets and distributing them into advantages
and I think that's what makes Waves can keep the price well

Yes it is a good altcoin and has great potential for development. But Waves' reputation is still very small and little known. If we want Waves to reach the top 10 of the cryptocurrency chart then we should mobilize investors to invest in Waves. They will bring a great profit for all people to invest in it.
Investing in Waves at the present time is good but the profit we make is low. It depends on your decision and your capital.

Waves can make you regret to invest for long term. It is yeah probably good coin that wasn't pumped individually, but developers show love to their coin and their roadmap looked quite good comparing to many coins.

I would not consider the stability in Waves price a negative thing, since it looks to have less volatility than other coins (even than Bitcoin). So my guess is that Waves is still a good bet and I'm currently buy...

I use to hold 10,000 waves and sold almost all of them in November, best decision I ever made, as I have made 4x minimum on other projects and waves has lingered not ever really growing like other alt coins. Its a great project and it will do well, just seems to stagnate a lot for some reason. Moon will come eventually, but I believe there is better  money to be made on other projects currently.

im gonna screenshot this and pm u when waves is 1k$ :)

This coin is very sluggish about good news. That's why I have long sold WAVES and bought other coins with great volatility. While my capital was in WAVES, I missed many good earning opportunities.

I was a big supporter of WAVES but now I think that they are obsolete. They never attracted any big ICO and the development is stalled.

NEO and other platforms for smart contracts are better choice now.

Want to be x10 or x100 ? Go with BNB , it's not too late for now ..

Waves is one good choice in terms of altcoin investment. Last year, Waves rallied in the early part and then went steady in the middle, with a little dump every now and then, but then it rallied really high in the late part. But now, in the past several weeks of this year, Waves went lower again, along with the rest of the altcoins and even Bitcoin. With that, you are assured that when Bitcoin and the rest of the major altcoins will fly once again, Waves will definitely be on of them. If you look at the updates coming from the Waves team, you will realize how hardworking they are and how promising their project is.

I seriously believe that if all the features of cryptocurrencies are utilize one can easily used it better than ethereum. Wave has also be doing well In terms of  giving good return to some of it early investors and enthusiast and I believe in future it is going to definitely bet with neo and ethereum.

Yes it is still a great investment but it seems it will require a lot of patience so if you have other projects in mind there is the possibility you can profit from them before waves begins to move upwards, this will give you the advantage of making a lot of money with other coins and then comeback and invest in waves just in time before it pumps, but if you do not want to miss the opportunity when that happens you can invest in waves right now and wait.

Well they create more ICO under their platform and require KYC soon. Waves will be interesting this year! You should look at their website. It's going to be huge!

It's impossible to be happen this year since looks like waves dev are quite and doesn't even show a strong updates regarding to their projects, and also the adoption of there coins and contracts are bit slow that's why its so hard to think that x10 will come unto them. But maybe on next following years on its running maybe we can see that the price of waves coin will pump.

the project creates a foundation for further development. Yes, there are no big price jumps here - but this is good for investors, as the coin is more resistant to fluctuations of bitcoin. I think that this project will be the main one for blocking startups in the Russian-speaking space. In addition, the project is supported by the Russian government, which means less risk of a scam

Yes, it is still a good bet because it has a good project development, team, and good reviews. I am sure that it will still become profitable in the future. Maybe you are doubting because of its value compared to the price of other alts but you don't have to compare because this coin will be significant on a long-term hold.

This coin has a lot of contradictions. Although it has some innovative functions, such as leasing function on the waves platform, decent crowdfunding functions, unfortunately, it has security concerns ,which are always a hot topic. Devs are very slow to implement changes, that's why it's probably not very successful right now.

Might be true. I am also invested in EOS. But the thing is, they have nothing yet. Whereas Waves has a platform and fully functional decentralised exhange. An example of an awsome project (currently) on Waves is Wagerr. Because of that, i think there is still some time where Waves is a good bet. They are also improving everything, so i don't think it will become subpar.

We can't say that it won't get termed to be the next big thing, but this too has got chances as the platform is quite responsive and gaining importance. I believe ethereum to be the next big thing for a longer time period with more growth to happen in the upcoming days before the year end.

Although I´ve been holding waves for a few monts, I still can´t take it really seriously. Of course the project has some nice features right now, (token creation, the dex, fast transactions, low fees), but all of them appear somehow like a playground for the average crypto-Joe, not like a platform on which serious and complex business solutions are beeing built.
I like using the dex because of its low fees and it was fun creating a token, but everything ist on such a basic level: your trading history like it is displayed is a mess; you can´t add a website link to a generated token info, there´s no general overview for your open trades and so on.
In my opinion, waves has been and will be doing well es long as the crypto hype train moves on and as long. carrying everybody with it who is - as well as me - attracted by its features. But besides that, what is the unique selling point?

Every second post in here is repeating the same mantra: Waves is a great project, it needs some patience but will be going huge soon...But almost nobody explains why this should come true. Even a look at the roadmap doesn´t convince me. Atomic swaps, smart contracts..great..just enqueue in the row right there next to you with all the others.

It might turn out as a mistake but as soon as the price has recovered, I´m gonna sell my waves and dive deepeer into platforms or coins with real use cases. I really think that waves may succeed, but that doesn´t automatically mean a huge increase of its price.

It always a good bet for people who buy waves under $10 this coin can potentially reach $100 if bitcoin bullish happen again and if we can get to 1trillion market cap its mean very bullish for waves. When you hold your waves you are also can leased your waves from your very own wallet and you still control your coin you also can exit leased anytime by one click from wallet then sell it at spike.

My opinion of waves is favorable, but I tend to favor coins that have real world use even more so.  There is definitely potential there with this platform to see an increase of value.  However, it is my belief that those coins that can be actually implemented for trade purposes in the real world, and are not just tied to speculation on future potential, are going to increase even more so.

Waves is a good project, lots of connections with real world businesses and good developer. However, the price doesn't seem to rise much in relation to other coins. It looks like price manipulation by whales or other means. I had waves but decided to dump it rather than wait forever for it to moon. Might be better this year, but not much based on past statistics. Too many scammy tokens on waves which degrades it's purpose.

I used to believe in this project and it seemed to me that this is an excellent investment. But this coin brought me big losses in bitcoins. Now I'm disappointed in this coin.
Half a year ago I hope on this coin and wait more profit. But with time I see that now exist more younger and promising coins. And Waves now is silent water. And even a swamp

I beleive in bright future for WAVES - why? Watch for today's interview (in Russian language) of Ivanov for Radchenko on yuotube where he told about new revolutionary novelties in March-May-2018: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j0aWhhmQGYQ

Hell yes! Waves has been on a correction lately because of BTC. But correction comes big opportunities to buy. If you are looking for a coin that huge upswing this coin is it, but don't expect short term gains... you will win in the long run just like other coins.

WAVES are often compared to ETH, but I do not agree with this comparison. I see that ETH has achieved significant successes in a year and WAVES have remained a low level project imho. I'm ready to take this coin out of my investment portfolio.

Waves is not a bet man it's a great way of investment. But it's not short term, you should hold your waves like 6-12 months at least to obtain a reasonable amount of profit at the end.

Just give some more time to this coin, the project is really good, certainly not like Ethereum, but there is no point in comparing them, completely different platforms. WAVES has a lot of events and updates this year, so I advise you to hold the coin and get your profit!

Waves is a wallet. The development of the project is unique and founded with good advisors. Although in business even it was founded strong and good there will be time to face the reality in the market place. Issues will pump up, competitors will compete. But waves is still a good bet. Clear future with that.

Waves I think is still a good coin to keep, I think there is still a lot of room for development with this coin. It is one the the undervalued coin that needs more improvement in the future and if developers work on that, this coin will be a huge success.

It had a nice pump, but it should still go up, I guess. Still bellow the all time high.

Waves has been stayed good it's perfomance in their platform but needs development. When you look into the price it is still a good bet, investing in this will surely good in return. More speculation about this year and I believe this plaform will more to offer.

This coin has a lot of contradictions. Although it has some innovative functions, such as leasing function on the waves platform, decent crowdfunding functions, unfortunately, it has security concerns ,which are always a hot topic. Devs are very slow to implement changes, that's why it's probably not very successful right now.
Waves is at number 35 in market cap which is very good if you ask me, but it is true that it has been losing positions in the last months, while this maybe a case for worry for some, this indicates me this is a good moment to invest since it is likely it will recover some of the ground lost in the next months, it isn't a sure thing but it is an investment in which it is worth to take the risk since decentralized exchanges seems like a segment of coins which will do fine in the next months and years.

Waves is a Blockchain platform a decentralized place for trading and crowdfunding, it comes next to that of ethereum but here the smart contracts are not much complex as ethereum, also powerful and secure. The price is going high and it will be really a good bet at the end of this year.

I am not that bullish on this project but to me it is still better than most of the projects in the space and is well capitalised, and this is even the main reason I am still keeping faith in the project, not has been achieved from the team because the DEX still lack volume and something need to be done about it, with smart contract implementation coming we can expect the price to move towards $20 in future when launched

It may took longer than expected for waves to reach it's true potential but that doesn't mean waves doesn't worth investing. It was always a long term hold so if we are expecting to get good profit from waves we should be patient and give it some time.

Right. WAVES is a pretty good altcoin and it sure is very important for you to invest in it. The community that supports WAVES is great, and the altcoin has a lot of practical applications that help WAVES survive and develop very well over the years, which is something to be noted for an altcoin.

Waves is always a good buy. Most especially right now when the price is way down its previous all time high. There will be a huge gain before the first quarter of the year 2018 comes to a close. Waves is a very great project. The team is also very awesome. They are always doing something to make sure that Waves is in constant progress. Look at how they announce updates after updates regularly. This shows where the project and their coin will go to in the coming months.

Waves is also like the Ethereum and Bitshare. Like Ethereum and Bitshare's blockchain creates token for the token creators for bringing the ICOs in this way Waves blockchain also work like this. By the passage of time, it has also grown in value.

Investing in waves was good idea like one/ two months ago but i still strongly believe that it will pump to the moon in 2018 so investing in it right now will give you some income imo.

How can you so be sure about waves can go to the moon this year? I dont have any idea about this.

I really like Waves, but it's really too slow .. Cryptomarket is very fast and Waves team takes his time, which is good in real life, probably not in crypto ..

Good team
Good devs
Good long term view

But everything could be useless regarding the time they spent developping things..

Waves NG ? Nice but nobody needs that for now. New DEX ? Launch in December, still in BETA now .. New Gateway ? Useless, almost nobody is using DEX (except if you want to buy Waves with BTC, where there is small volume, on the other pairs it's nearly 0).

So I get that they want to create a whole product, but so far it's not a success and the more they wait, the more competitors overtake them.

IF they can create volume on DEX, IF they can catch market attention with a big ICO, then it could be very interesting. So far I'm not convinced anymore (after more than 1 year holding).

In general, I doubt the prospects of projects on the waves. almost always ico companies to date are aimed at developing the protocol of the etherium.

Very good bet not only good. Developer still develop the platform and did good marketing job. It tales time to goes high naturally. If you want to buy waves but it under $10 and will gives you good return. While you waiting for price going high you can leased your waves and get 1% per month it is also good stakin coin wothout minimum requirment.

Waves still very good WAVES price in June 2016 was $ 0.7 per coin, and it is now above $6.88 per coin. This increment of +700% is hard to ignore.Waves enable you to make custom tokens, which means you can launch your own cryptocurrencies.

Waves are doing well in their work. Although the prices are not rising yet, the project is going well. We can see very high prices in a few months.
At the moment, investors are upset because the price is not rising. But, soon it will give good hype to investors hopefully  :)

Waves is still ok for now. But I just noticed the development of waves is super slow, compare to the NEO and ETH. I thought on the first time that WAVES is the next ethereum but now, I believe that NEO will take over waves.

why do you still invest in a heavy moving coin like waves? The potential is quite high but we can not see why it is potentially. we expect the price to rise further for months :)
hope shows everyone with that potential in a short time

Waves and before the end of the year I think will be an acceptable investment. This is a platform that can help expand many existing ones, and itself gradually develops trade in goods, financing projects and speculating assets wherever without it. Let's see what they will achieve this year.

If you want to wait to seem to invest in the waves will be very promising, it is indeed because the movement is slow and some coins were falling. so if you want to actually invest in these coins is great if in time all the coins begin to rise.

Waves is a beautiful project. Waves is one good choice in altcoin investment. Last year, Waves rallied in the early part and then went steady in the middle. As for me an undervalued coin, which can grow at any time.

The lack of volume in the decentralized exchange is not something we can completely blame on waves, no DEX has the same capabilities of a centralized exchange and this is something that is not very well received by traders and speculators but taking into account all the regulations that will be put in place against centralized exchanges it makes sense to think the use of DEX will rise in the near future and with it the price will grow up as well.

Actually i think waves still a good bet. Waves future is very good i think. If you buy waves now and hold it for next few months then you will get a very good profit Because it's a promising and stable coin.

This year will show whether we were mistaken in choosing the most promising. If we see a significant climb without strong corrections, and for this many participants hope, we will get a good profit, but otherwise we will not talk.

HODL your Waves. Do not worry about its price going down or staying steady. Monitor their team and you will know how these people are introducing their great project to all parts of the world. Waves is growing right now. I think Waves will finally come back at the $10 price within this month. This is highly expected. Waves has already reached more than $16 in the past and it will come back sooner. So you better keep them Waves.

I have been following waves price since the November last year, and waves not like other coin. Waves never follow the common altcoin trend except when bitcoin is involved. it will sleep for a while, then suddenly pumped hard and back to sleep again.
But don't need to worry, the platform developed so well, so the coin should be ok, it might not 10x in the end of this year, but it is worth investment

You must be kidding, WAVES is not having a proper development plant and seems not to provide enough resources to new projects that have potential to increase the value of this coin.

Waves is a good buy. Especially right now when the price is way down its previous all time high. There will be a huge gain before the first quarter of the year 2018 comes to a close. Waves is a very great project. The team is also very awesome. They are always doing something to make sure that Waves is in constant progress. Look at how they announce updates after updates regularly. This shows where the project and their coin will go to in the coming months.c

Sure, it's still unpumped in the current altcoin cycle.

There are many good things to come to Waves platform like smart contracts and many more 100% airdropped coins.

at present, only ethereum has the best platform that is used by almost all ico projects but I see there are some ico projects that use the waves platform
of course a good start for waves, so the platform will continue to grow

Agree with that, only scams projects been making an ICO on Waves as it was 5minutes to make your own coin and ETH smart-contracts were pretty expensive. Noways, Waves is doing a great job and the price reflecting.

Lol i guess if this is another joke dude, ethereum has become the main bet for everyone. Just because waves have collaborated with a new platform that raised 200 million dollars and it doesn't mean if waves will be a very good bet to the speculators.

Waves is still one of the best projects in which you can invest, but like every coin in the market the year of 2018 has been very hard on it and you need to be very patient in order to see any kind of profits out of it, but with time you will see them, if you can you could buy some waves right now so in the future when the price begins to go up again your profits will be even better.

I think that with the waves can happen about the same thing that once happen with the ethereum. The whales can also begin to pump very significant assets into this project , thereby bringing its price to very significant volumes. Maybe this will all happen right this year over the coming months.
