I personally prefer dogecoin and ethereum but these days ethereum also have network congestion and fee is really high so dogecoin is best right now.

Raiblocks is another coin that have no confirmation time and zero fee and I think it will be accepted in some casino soon because nobody wants to wait for hours to get confirmation and pay high fees just to move coins in and out of the casino.

What other coins you guys think can be viable option for crypto based casinos?

Used to be ETH but now my favorite is LTC. I also kept some BCH from fork so using them as well.

Before when the price of bitcoin was still low and there's no congestion on it's network I prefer to gamble with it. But as it's price is getting high and the fees are skyrocketing too together with the problem of it's congestion, it's not worth to gamble with bitcoin anymore in my opinion. We have the same choice of coin that suits for gambling and that is Doge. I haven't tried to gamble with XRB but if that will save us from fees then I will try it next time.

Normally I was playing with bitcoins for quiet a while, even with fees increasing, my logic was if I win I yet win huge in Bitcoins, but with the fees touching the moon I decided to shift to btc cash it's important to know here I feel that the fees makes it really easy to trade into it, I really like the fact the fees was very low and that's really one of the reason I would take a bet on this coin, then again it value rises, personally don't really liked dodge so I won't ever play with dodge.

I think anything that has a low transaction fee and fast confirmation is one of the best coins to gamble with. Right now, BTC and ETH are both expensive to transact with and BTC is super slow. Another thing to take into consideration is price volatility of the coin you are using. I guess the last one is the hardest criteria to fulfill, since on the top of my mine, DOGE was a good option but the problem is DOGE has been really volatile recently and it could even fall back to 20 sats each and this could result to a huge loss on the part of the holder during the time he is gambling.

Not sure what coin is relatively stable, but if you find one then that could potentially be the next coin that would really be something useful in gambling. Right now I would still stick with bitcoins as this is really the basis of all coins anyway, and the fact that using alts would just mean an extra step to gamble.

The price and speed of LTC right now is quiet great and this is a good alternative option for you gambling. But it depends on your gambling site if they accept ltc or better now to gamble for now and trade it instead which i think is better tham gambling.

I think it depends on what you think you can do with gambling. for example if your goal is to make profit on the coins you have then bitcoin is usually the option here. or by extension the coins that you would like to make profit on. for me since it has always been bitcoin, I also choose bitcoin for gambling.

but if you are just looking for a way to play something as cheap as possible with a coin that is also cheap and you have a lot of then coins like Doge are the option.
I usually choose Doge myself too because it is cheap and easy to acquire. there was a couple of faucets that used to pay a decent amount of it which I used to play dice with.

For me it's not to saying it as the best for, but it's more precisely on more suitable or familiar I think ;D, which's also often used by many people and is known in a various gambling sites.
I'm more closer to Btc, Eth, Ltc and Doge on a certain gambling sites. But honestly I often get it all for free so far and doing a betting on games like dice games in particular.

With high network congestion on the Bitcoin network, it is safe to say I would be preferring Ethereum as the best coin for gambling. It is already being accepted in almost all major casinos which makes it an ideal replacement for Bitcoin in the gambling sector.


This is another excellent altcoin that can be accepted by casinos as it there would be no fees involved I deposit/withdrawal of funds, making it all the more viable. I really hope a few casinos will step it up and add XRB.

Ethereum has high fees though, you need to pay as much as $15 already per transaction there. So I think that's out of the question now. Although, it is still quick so that is a plus for that coin. Railblocks though are pretty new to me and I have not much info on how it works. But generally all altcoins work the same anyway in terms of how you use each (send, pay miners fee, receive). So I think if XRB are the same, then it could be something plausible to use. However, since from the historical price of this coin, it seems it has relatively jumped from cents to even $30 each. Which, like some other said above, is not good since volatility should also be considered.

Two candidates for the best coin that can replace bitcoin in gambling are LTC and Doge. If you'll try to rotate and visit different dice sites and slots you'll see that the most used coin is Doge and it was abbreviated as XDG. ETH is also a good one because of it's lesser fee but I'll go with Doge.

Long term gambling or holding is good for small cap coins. I am currently holding some clams and burst. Who knows? They might get their time soon.

I dont know where that idea came from about using XRB(Raiblocks) but talking on the accessibility and no fees is a plus,  compared into BTC and ETH nowadays but the question is how much those 3rd party will charged you up on each withdrawal you do made,they might give it for free or do have some charge.Talking that each xrb is about $30 as of now and i have tried to make transactions of that coin which is really fast and acceptable which is applicable on gambling field.

I agree dogecoin and ethereum are good coins for gambling because of that small fees but you know not many casinos and sportsbook accept altcoins nowdays. Most of them are using bitcoin, that's why i pick bitcoin for the best coin for gambling but yeah the fees is super high and we need alternative coins like doge and eth to gamble.

I have tried monero, and it has benefitted me a lot in a way because I made 0.1 to 0.4. If I convert that to bitcoin, it would be a lot smaller, and the chances of that are slim. That's why the benefit of altcoins is a substitute to the original coin, which is bitcoin.

I don't like gambling with any coins except maybe for Eth (since i'v bought multiple coins when it was at a very low value and i never saw true potential in it ) . But i like mostly gambling with fiat since fiat casinos contain much more sport games than Cryptocurrencies casinos , and since i'm a big sports fan i do prefer visiting casinos with a bigger sports odds variety -even tho i don't like giving out my credentials for age verification- .

I agree with you that Dogecoin is probably the best coin for gambling. Though not just because its transactions are cheap and hassle free, but also because the minimum allowed bets in dogecoins are cents only in most casinos. Indeed, it also depends on a casino and their specific rules, but it is almost always the case that minimum bets in Dogecoin are lower in dollar equivalent than in any other coin.

So my point is that any cheaper coin would be better for gambling than a more expensive one, provided all other things are equal, of course.

Currently I am using ETH for gambling, previously i was using bitcoins but as said by many other users due to slow network and high transactions fees i have also stopped using the bitcoins for gambling and then switched to eth. My experience so far with ETH is quite good and there is no problem as of now. 

If not for the high price of Bitcoin and it high transaction fee, it would have been a better coin for it.
Even Ethereum also, but they both have high transaction fee, so we can resort to Litecoin or Bitcoin Cash.
And also if you want to use  Dogecoin its okay too, though I don't use them but I have heard that their transaction fee are quite low.
But the problem is most casino may not be using it. Casino owners should try to use coins that have low transaction fee to encourage more players.

You are sounding like you are promoting some altcoins to make them bumping. When you are relying with some well established gambling houses then you never need to worry about moving out funds. These days most of known gambling houses are having with in-house exchange services so you never need to worry about playing with bitcoins.

For the gamblers who are all still playing with faucets and in bulk transfers, bitcoin still remain as a medium of exchange without any secondary thought to switch over to any other coins.

Initially most of the gambling websites were not accepting Bitcoin Cash but due to its popularity, they have all starting to accept it especially when bitcoins were taking a lot of money for transactions fees and taking too long to confirm them as well.

I prefer dogecoin or litecoin to gamble, fast transactions and low fees. Bitcoin is not interesting right now to gamble due to the high fees and slow transactions. But implementation of the lightning network will help alot to resolve this.

There are too many options now may used in gambling the bitcoin and other altcoin, one of them is ethereum. Since ethereum now and bitcoin were having a high fees and low transactions i prefer to use other alcoins who have a low fees but accurate transaction just like litecoin. This is my own opinion i'm not saying these for promoting altcoins. It's to better to gambled for those low fees compared to other the highest fees that's already you're lost.

Dogecoin is accepted on a lot gambling sites beside bitcoin and ethereum. Whenever bitcoin and ethereum network are so crowded, dogecoin can be used as an alternative way to gamble. It has small fee and mostly, the confirmation time will be fast.

Railblocks does make a lot of sense for gambling but i think there is still quite a way to go before we can reasonably expect railblocks to be accepted in this manner.  Good old days used to be bitcoin but considering the tx fees and time it takes for bitcoin confirmation these days, its not really practicable.  For me the best and easiest today is dogecoin, its perfect for gambling not just in terms of low tx fees etc, but also the value gives me the illusion that i'm not gambling too much.  Kind of risky also, i know but hey.....it works for me.

Bitcoin  is the best for gambling now because it has high value, that every one who gamble is retain for bitcoin.That everyone wants to get bitcoin. I know that every gambler is greedy to  Have a bitcoin now because of the promising price in the future that bitcoin is going higher and higher that is about to treasure bitcoin hunter now.Bitcoin is their life now to rule in their lives.
 

Yes, I agree with you. Ethereum is the best coins also for gambling and investment. For dogecoin is still new for me. But if you said the fee is low,
I think is still ok to choose dogecoin coin for gambling. I know still many coin can do gambling, but some coin the fee is really high.

Actually all Altcoin and cryptocurrency can be used for gambling. Because cryptocurrency is basically a currency and all currencies are only used for transaction tools only. But actually, if we see, most gambling sites that use Bitcoin as a means of payment. While the price of Bitcoin is very high today, and its fee is also so high. So I suggest you not to use Bitcoin as a transaction tool. Use other cryptocurrencies as a tool for gambling. So now our task is to find a gambling site that receives cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin. Maybe in the future there will be a lot of gambling sites that accept various cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin.

I think LTC coin planning to reduce their transaction fee and that may attract many gamblers soon because even ETH also facing some transaction issues so best option will be either ETH or Dogecoin for gambling. Slowly no one will use bitcoin in gambling because no one wants to waste so much transaction fee and wait for few days to get confirm transactions. Recently I only use LTC to play dice game.

Looking at all the replies, I did not expect that many people are using Ethereum for deposits and withdrawals to casino sites. I thought they are also having their own problems with high fees and slow confirmations. Is the Cryptokitties fever over now?

I prefer with dogecoin too because the price is still cheap and the fee is not too big and it's only 5 dogecoin in every time we make a transaction. but I have experience with litecoin and clam but for now, I think those coins need a time before it arrives in my account and I still use dogecoin until now. I am not yet trying with raiblocks because I don't have that coin and maybe later I will try to buy some rai and try to use as my bets.

Doge and etherium is mostly one of accepting altcoins in gambling websites because they are famous one, bitcoin is really difficult to use in gambling because of the high fees and also it is really requires a lot of time to received so mostly of the gamblers will go to altcoins and find some decent altcoin that is really fast to received though eth is really slow right now . I think those only new in the altcoin market is really fast and those really not famous also. I think xmr is one of the best though it is not famous enough but it has a high value

I think ethereum will be a good coin for gambling because the transaction time is very fast and fee is very less when compared to other coins.But there are many altcoins available which can transact faster than ethereum but they are not popular yet so go with ethereum and most of the gambling sites are also accepting ethereum for gambling when compared to other coins.

Ethereum I'd say is the best one right now due to the congestion with Bitcoin.

when the price of bitcoin was pretty low the best coin used for gamble is bitcoin but since the price was very high and following also higher fees then to gambling i have to figure out which coin would i use as instead of bitcoin to gamble and i think ETH is the best option because currently there are several gambling sites who accepting ETH

Bitcoin has been bad idea for gambling for a while now... I agree with litecoin though, i use it every time i want to gamble, instead of Bitcoins, this way i save decent amount of money as i don't have to pay huge fees. I'm not sure about Dogecoin though... I haven't seen a new site that would accept them. Not saying that there aren't any site that accepts them, but it's nothing compared to Btc/Eth/Ltc

ETH network sucks rightnow, high fees again here too, as if bitcoin wasn't enough.  i hate paying high fees on my little (if) profit.

I think every crypto casino that wants to be up to date has to support multiple coins to cover all the possible needs of their players. Here's my list of coins that I would add if I was running a casino:

Bitcoin: the king of crypto, still very popular even despite high fees, and Lightning Network is coming closer and closer to mainnet release. Also, Bitcoin is the best coin for bankroll investors because it's less volatile and more predictable than any altcoin.

LTC: Bitcoin's younger brother, currently has cheaper fees. Potential for atomic swaps and Lightning.

Dogecoin: ultra cheap fees, perfect for players with tiny bankrolls.

Monero: the best privacy coin, very much needed in online gambling for some users.

But Ethereum has its own "high fee" problems now that their mempool is flooded and their blocks full. There was a also some news that Bittrex had to disable Ethereum deposits for a while because they could not handle the load.

This makes me now believe that all cryptocurrencies that uses the blockchain are not scalable, and will run into the same problems as Bitcoin is having now.

Dogecoin is still my best choice to gamble because of its low transaction fees and I can bet with smaller amount as well with dogecoin. So it is the most suitable coin to gamble especially for low bankroll gamblers like me. Of course it depends on the sites where I wanna play as well, if there site does not accept dogecoin then I will choose other altcoin with low transaction fees.

As of now, I would still choose btc for gambling eventhough the transaction fee is high and sometimes it takes more than an hour or even more to have atleast 1 confirmation. I always prefer btc in any kind of doing not only gambling mainly because of it's price.

I agree that eth is not doing very well and bitcoin is probably the worst coin for gambling due to high transaction fees one needs (usually) to pay to withdraw money. Doge has been the best in gambling for a long time. I think that's the only reason this coin is still alive and even manages to experience some pumps from time to time. However, for some gambling websites doge is not appropriate, since there are no smart contracts available.  At the same time, it is worth to use smart contracts, because it ensures scam-free gambling. In such cases it's better to use eth tokens like vsl.

I think that's why you need to convert it so that you would have much more coin compared to bitcoin. Because if you convert it you will have more coins then you would try to win with having a much larger value compared to smaller ones when you have Bitcoin. It still depends on the player and the person playing it.

I also one of those who uses bitcoin when playing online. However, I moved to Doge and LTC since last year (November to be exact). I haven't try ETH though, but recently with all this cryptokitties issues, I think I won't use it as well.

As for Doge, yeah, maybe its one of the reason why it is still alive. But I love to use LTC though, very quick and as long as the gambling sites that I'm playing accepts LTC, I will stick to it as my main coin for gambling.

I was also doing same until last few months back but later realize that there is no meaning in using BTC in gambling after these transaction fees went up so high and also need to wait for transaction to confirm. By the time the transaction get confirm I may lost the interest of playing these games so now I moved to ETH and LTC for gambling.

Honesty, any coin with low transaction fee and fast transaction is fine, i don't know, gambling with bitcoin become pain, to deposit 10$ you have to pay another 10$ and another 10$ on withdrawal on most sites, don't think that is option at the moment. LTC is just fine with me.

Ethereum for me is the best coin to use especially those times that the value haven't pump yet then you are keeping some of them surely you earn a lot from the pump it takes few days ago. But despite of the fact that it is now the next promising coin ethereum also is one of the fastest when it comes to transactions that is why it become my best coin for gambling .

Same as you I prefer to gamble coins with fast transaction and small fees, I prefer doge and str/lumens, unfortunately only 2 online gambling site I know support str for usage (exclusively for str)

Previously i was using Ethereum but then after few months of practicing it I quite that coin because of high fees and now using both Dogecoin and Litecoin. Also came to know about the rail blocks and it has been increasing both the price wise and demand wise because here it has already done with x10 time of returns in Railblocks. I will also try to find information on coins like Bitshares and Siacoin whether it is the right time for gambling them or not and then will invest a small amount here too.

Str isn't so famous among crypto's users that is why only few casinos who willing to accept it on their sites as an alternative payment. It is better to use dogecoin because as I know, it is accepted on a lot of casinos already.

Yeaa for now do a micro transaction using bitcoin is full of pain , not worth.
But when you talking about thousands dollar i think it is still worth to gamble using bitcoin and alternatively use ltc or eth is the second best choice.
The fee always matter especially if you frequently to move your funds from a casino to another.

I can't really suggest which particular coin is better for gambling I was using bitcoin and ethereum before but due to delay in confirmation and high fee I have to switch to Dogecoin though there are other altcoin that has fast confirmation and low fee which am yet to make use of them but time I will start using them.  

Good side on betcoin.ag is that you can deposit different altcoins and you always get chips and you gamble with them, when you withdraw you can do it bitcoin or any altcoin on their list. This days I'm depositing ETH or ltc and in that I withdraw my winnings, cheaper transaction, like many others I don't wish to pay high fees for bitcoin transactions. Now gambling with altcoins isn't q problem, many cites accepts more and more altcoins and some of them even different tokens.

Bitcoin is the most popular one. However if the casinos move to Ethereum, Zcash or any other good altcoin the confirmation time will be real fast compared to Bitcoin. I personally love to deposit and withdraw only Bitcoin but I can do the same with Ethereum for example without caring much. So in the end it remains in the idea of the development of the casino which coins they want to accept.

confirmation time is still depends on the gambling site because some gambling site offers instant deposits or zero confirmations but there were some that needs atleast two confirmations in order to deposit the funds in your account therfor i think those coins  you mention and in op's suggestions are still the same with bitcoin. however most online casinos right now are actually accepting all kinds of crypto coins as a form of medium in order to use in their gambling site.

I try to always use those casinos who are accepting ethereum or dogecoin as a deposit option, since you do not need to pay huge amounts of fees in order to start playing in there. Those kind of websites are the best for me.

In my entire life in online gambling, only bitcoin and bitz are the only coin I used. Other than that I also used cash, because some gambling sites I know is used dollars. I think ethereum is the best too. But we all know that as the journey of eth goes by and continues and we know that it is the best partner of bitcoin when it comes in about transactions and etc. ethereum is one of the best we can use in playing gambling or make it as bankroll but then we can see a big pump or very sharp rise and I doubted if their are still on us using ethereum as bankroll instead on using it they use some coins just like dash or doge coin when the place bets.

I will rather suggest litecoins since they confirm even faster and cheaper than bitcoin and are also relatively cheap on the market compared to their other leading cryptocurrencies. Not many are accepting it just yet but i think litecoins are better for gambling to me than ethereum.

Dogecoin, Dogecoin and only dogecoin. May it be swift transactions speed, a low priced bet and a low cost coin. Dogecoin fulfills every expectation of your into gambling. In fact all I do is dogecoin gambling. Whenever I see a single dogecoin in my wallet they go straight to the bitsler for some multiplication. I can see no other coin fit for gambling as every coin is now too inflated.

I rather prefer ethereum coins is best suit for online gambling,because its only coins that have an ERC-20 that mostly needed to some of gambling sites.actualy all coins can be usable in gambling  but,in terms of fastes and safer coins that very usable in everything like no other than ethereum,but there one new coins that they develope now and maybe its having potential coins also used in online gambling maybe called someday an astor coin.

I've also used Litecoin more and more for gambling. I started using Litecoin because the Bitcoin fees were so high at the time, but even with low fees, I continue using it because transactions confirm faster.
Also allows me to make smaller bets on the website I'm playing on, Bitcoin minimum bets were just getting too high in USD value for me.

I see a lot of members mentioning ETH, but I've never really been into using ETH.

ETH was fast and cheap, but since its value has rising recently and they also had some scalability problems (CryptoKitty?), it is not practical anymore. Now I either use LTC for cheap and fast transaction or just use BTC directly since the fee is not as high as it used to be. Bitcoin implementing Lightning Network and other additional upgrades for fast and cheap transaction would easily invalidate all altcoins whose main strength are cheap and fast transaction. Well, I agree with you. The coin itself doesn't have to have a direct impact with the gambling method but knowing that you technically have a larger capital if you convert your bitcoin into an altcoin because altcoins have lower value. You should lessen your losses to prevent emotional stress.

Some gamblers already doing this, I remember before when I was really addicted to gambling and most of the time I loses my alts with some dice site who allow alts like yobit and the one that I have right now from my signature, I use alts as I can extend my stay and I can performed some strategy that needs to have much larger funding but still result is just the same always finding myself busted.

Dogecoin became my favorite too after bitcoin. It has low transaction fees and fast confirmation time as well. There are still plenty of coins that has such feature but I prefer to use dogecoin instead of the other ones.

I think bitcoin is always best one.Now the price of bitcoin is low so you can play in gambling and get more dollars in term of bitcoin .But for that you need some luck .Without the luck it's not possible to gain at all.Just choose the gambling to play in free time.

Are you exchanging your coins to doge to gamble?

I was also using altcoins to gamble when transaction fees were very high but now bitcoin transaction fees are very reasonable so not doing this conversion instead using bitcoins directly for gambling because my earnings are in Bitcoin.

Doge will be the best choice for the best coin for gambling for someone that is keeping his precious bitcoins and ethereums.
That question might not for me directly but I'll answer it, that's what I do. I'm exchanging some of my bitcoin for Doge so that I have more Doge's in return but that's only a very limited bitcoin to exchange.

Ethereum is the best coin in terms of fair play and anonymous , see sites like v dice they have smart contact you just have to send funds if it's in your favour they send it back instantly without any kyc and everything is transparent because of smart contract
Another coin would be bitcoin because there are more trusted and secure sites for it dogecoin is on very few sites

I think that using ethereum for gambling is just a very bad decision. Ethereum was not made for that purpose, it's suppose to serve as a platform for investments in crypto startups. It's not really supposed to be a currency. I guess you can gamble whatever you want, and people even bet houses and cars when they gamble, so it's ok, but it's not that convenient in my opinion, or at least it feels unnatural.

Personally I would use some private coins, if I think privacy is important in gambling, or other coins that are meant to act as currencies (so bitcoin, litecoin and dash would probably be my choices).

Litecoin is also a good coin for the gambling website because the fee is very cheap and transactions are also happens faster when comparing to bitcoin but many websites are still not added any other crypto currencies that bitcoin hope they will do it soon then it will attracts more players towards their site.

That is not entirely true, you need a coin that the price wont keep on dropping, so let say coin xyz is 10$ and you win ten coin xyz today, so your profit supposed to be 100$, but the next day the price drop down to 5$, so now your profit is 50$, you will want to avoid that coin for gambling, I personally like to used doge and ltc for gambling,  the fee and the transaction speed is very fast, but the most convenient coin to used is still bitcoin because almost all of crypto gambling accept it

Litecoin has been my favorite in recent times because i am able to fund my gambling account in seconds as it really confirms fast on the network and at almost 0 transaction fee rate. I don't think any of the altcoins can rival it in terms of these two attributes.

But widely bitcoin has been accepted in the every gambling sites. I do not know list of sites accepting the litecoin as the deposit mode. Most of the time I go with the sportbet and OneHash for play games. We can find the sports in all the arena from the online to outdoor games.
If you love to play the dice game also OneHash will provide the service for you, but personally do not go with the dice or slot roller at all.

Currencies doesn’t matter in gambling it is based on how and when you gamble it is the matter in gambling but my opinion about which coin is best for investing is which coin is most valuable in future for your mind is the best for investing .

Litecoin seems to be popular here, its an alternative for bitcoin and I find it the best too. Its a big deal on what coin we are using to gamble. If the price of bitcoin is too high then its a good time to use bitcoin but during those times it also has a big fee.

I don't trust using other coins yet, but the preference of using eth still made me decide to focus on that matter, because these days eth became stronger in terms of profitable gambling same with how bitcoin did for so many years. I don't prefer any coin when gambling as the coin I will use is the best to use if a coin i'm using at the moment have problems. Example coin is bitcoin but due to the increasing price of bitcoin and network then i'll use ETH but if it is the same then i'll use dogecoin or LTC.

I used ETH more often as the deposit and withdraw is quick for me, also the transactions fees using the platform is not so expensive. Have not used LTC but considering this once i found out that the transaction using this would be quick and cheap.

I would call that is favourite coin than the best coin because all coins in the cryptocurrency will be the same as the other. I agree, Doge coin is the coin if you feel that bitcoin is too expensive for you to gamble although you can just reduce the amount you bet with bitcoin to play longer it's just doesn't feel the same. The best coin to used for gambling are those coins with strong network with fast and reliable block chain. In my own opinion BCH, ETH and XRP are good coins for this gambling purposes. Bitcoin is top coin in online gambling, Hence we could use dogecoin and ethereum, these are also best for play gambling. Otherwise i will not suggest to use any other coins on online gambling. Now bitcoin is expansive coin, so most people avoid to use it while playing gambling.
