Reallistically, I think that bitcoin can make an impact on the whole world as a cashless payment system but it cannot stand alone unless of course that its bolatility and its price are fixed and remained costant. As far as I am concerned the government wouldn't allow it because it will only benefit most of us here using or investing in bitcoin. Because if you look at it how else are the poverty people, and those who don't know how to used bitcoin are going to pay their payment, and the worst what if there is no electricity or internet connect then how else are we going to pay or buy goods or services.

Are you serious on this?, clearly bitcoin is not a viable option right now. Even if it does the government will surely won't allow that to happen. We can see that countries are now making regulations on how crypto's should be used to their people.

I think it's hard to break through the governments of these countries. The banking industry will also stop bitcoin. Are you kidding?  Bitcoin can't even govern itself... or at least the developers/miners/whoever can't.  Nobody seems to agree on anything.  As an example, the scaling debate has turned into a complete sh-+show.  Coins like OMG are coming along and trying to solve the scaling issue long before it becomes a problem.  If Bitcoin can't scale, or does so at such a slow rate how could it govern the world?  No way.

Nope, There are still Places in the world that prefers fiat money or still lives the old way, Implementing Bitcoin as a new mode of payments will eventually give a hard time in poor places and people who cannot afford internet and smartphones.

It seems for now bitcoin can't be applied in some countries because the regulations and financial policies in each country is different, so if forced should have the same vision and perspective.

I do think that despite it being the first cryptocurrency to reach this enormous potential scale there are many things that are still unsolved.

No I don't think that it can govern world market, maybe crypto currencies will be globally used, and might be considered as future money, but it will not be only bitcoin.

I don't think it is going to happen in the nearest future for bitcoin to govern the whole world as a means of payment. This is because the acceptability of bitcoin as a legal means a lot f payment is still under serious obstacles as many governments are not ready to legalize its usage. Secondly, the problem of scalability that is currently a major setback to bitcoin usage as a currency is another threat. Many be in years to come its acceptability may increase across borders.

      I think bitcoin can't govern the whole world. First of all bitcoin is decentralized digital currency which means free from government. Bitcoin are global currency,wherever country you are,you can use and invest in bitcoin but it doesn't mean that it will rule and govern the whole world. Government will not allow it for sure. It is very difficult. It would be strange if you think that Bitcoin will use the world one day. Bitcoin is still just a small part of the world's financial market and is only used as a currency in Japan. There some merchants who accept bitcoin as payment, but there are still issues to be resolved, like faster and cheaper transactions. So, it will take years and years before bitcoin is used as currency in more countries.

It's hard/impossible.As we all know,you don't pay taxes with cryptocurrency.Governments can't survive without people paying taxes.
In short,cryptocurrency can't be widespreaded worldwide unless somehow governments can start collecting taxes through cryptocurrency which would kill the concept of cryptocurrency being decentralized and not centralized.

nope government would not allow it. we know bitcoin is strong but it still has limits. for now bitcoin is good for investment and can be used for transactions too but those sender that send small transactions would loss money. if possible do not to send small transactions. in the future when bitcoin price go high fees would also go up. also government needs tax to function and for now they can't get tax from bitcoin.

1. The government will fall down because it's own currency has no value. The value of the countries currency will reflect their country.
2. Can't be used by everyone because of the needed requirements such as internet, gadget.

4. Unlike the paper money (Fiat) Bitcoins can't be used offline.
5. The deep web or blackmarket may become powerful because of the bitcoins ability to transact anonymously.
6. The price is not stable, every minute, seconds the price changes and it would be a lot of complications when you're about to pay and the price drops. (Hassle right?)
7. Many people are lack of knowledge about cryptocurrency and would find cryptocurrency a very hard way.

I do not think that it would be convenient, people who are accustomed to cash will always, if only strongly implement the Internet currency system, but it is every person must have the Internet at hand, which not everyone can afford.

You make a lot of valid points and I completely agree with you here. It is completely true that bitcoin governing the entire world seems like an impossible scenario and something which I would not like due to the fact that it is an extremely volatile currency at the moment. Instead, I feel bitcoin and the popular cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Litecoin, Neo etc will help serve the world as alternative payment methods rather than replace FIAT completely since everyone relies on FIAT due to its stability in the long run. This scenario seems completely plausible.

Well, I don't think that bitcoin can govern the whole word. It needs to consider a lot of things before it can influence the whole world. Also, a lot of countries didn't even have any idea about what bitcoin is. It haven't reach every corners of the world and I think it will take a long run before that happens. If more countries start adopting bitcoin and everyone uses bitcoin then bitcoin will be used everywherere and it will govern the whole world.

This would be extremely unlikely to happen because there is a limit to how many transactions can happen at the same time. We can increase the limit for the blockchain but there will still be a limit and that limit is unlikely to allow 8 billion people usage. If that happens, transactions will not clear or they may clear but with a very high transaction fee, rendering it useless for most transactions.

First, price is very unstable and economy will be very hard to maintain due to prices change almost every hour.
Second, transaction are made virtually and can be easily use for corruption.
Third, changing currency is very hard to adapt or might be impossible already.

Governing the whole world is a little bit too much for bitcoin, bitocin was not made for that. We are the one who will govern the whole world and bitcoin will just help us to develop and to make this society even more better. Bitcoin has no country limitations and knowns no frontier.

Though, the situation of crypto (how spreaded, how used, etc) is widely different from one country to another. In most Western countries, I think bitcoin is rather seen as an interesting new tool, potentially for making money... but not as a necessary "thing". Whereas in some poor countries, the population need bitcoin as a source of income.

So that's the first point: we are far from knowing an homogeneous situation worldwide.

Then, governments and institutions are trying to deal with it but their way of handling crypto can highly vary! On top of that, the price of bitcoin can be completely erratic and there aren't technical tools allowing people to use bitcoin for daily uses..

All this make the situation quite complex. I personnally hope that one day cryptos can be used anywhere, for anything. For the moment, though, it's not true...  :-\

well it depends upon the situation, but i think that bitcoin can govern the world because of it's expensive price.

At one time, gold could conquer the world as a form of store of value, then came USD. The dollar became a more convenient form of mutual settlement, and then it was digitized, making cash-free payments. In order to beatkoin won their euro and the dollar of competitors, there must be a lot of stars. For example, the cue ball should become an official means of payment in countries and giants (US, EU). Even though I am optimistic about the future of cryptocurrencies and the scope in offline markets, I don't think that cryptocurrencies will govern the market anytime in near future. I think maybe in the near future bitcoin may be able to become the first digital currency with wide acceptance in the world and it's mass adaptation on it's blockchain technology that would be use and adopted globally.

It is very possible. Currently other fields have begun to adopt blockchain technology and it is not impossible for the future also adopted bitcoin. I think it will be difficult because some countries actually ban bitcoin. And it is not impossible other countries will also follow to ban bitcoin. To be sure the government and banking do not agree that bitcoin as currency, because bitcoin does not qualify for it.

I'm sure someday Bitcoin will organize the whole world. Yes, Bitcoin can manage because Bitcoin will provide many benefits to the whole world. Everyone in the world will experience a better life. Maybe now many countries are banning Bitcoin but someday everyone will recognize the sophistication of Bitcoin.

I'm not sure if bitcoin can set the whole world because basically bitcoin is a digital currency, although it can be used for online transactions. not all countries are bitcoin users and the government will not easily accept it, how about the poor to pay for every transaction is rather expensive, and what if the internet network broke up, it will only make them difficult.

Bitcoin have helped many investment and they have take much profit with bitcoin by invest bitcoin for several years. We have seen many investors have bough bitcoin been a new rich person. But so far have negative effect from the government who want to banned bitcoin as payment system and legal transaction. If bitcoin give some space on one country, there are will be most people could help by bitcoin, where will giving more chance to take work with bitcoin.

In my opinion it will not govern the whole world even it has a great impact in the economy to the different countries.
Why? Because of the following reasons:

1. The government think it's illegal and can use to fraud, scam, and to funds for serious crimes.
2. Not all people will conveniently use the digital currency specially those more than 60 years old, they will still prefer to use the fiat money.

These thoughts are utopian. There is no such thing. Bitcoin is a digital currency. It is not being.
A digital product with a price of 8k. Diamonds are very precious metals. Can diamonds capture the world? Absurd.

The important thing is blockchain. This system will change many things in our lives. The banks are struggling to get through this system. Many projects are produced through this system.

Crypto money is only investment tool.

This is impossible bitcoin and all the crypto currency has a very meager impact on the world
