That just causes the price decline.

If they're free falling then it's not really a correction. A correction would imply they're correcting to a reasonable level where the price is more accurately reflected by the support in the market. (This is what I believe is happening). Free fall would imply something more synonymous to a bursting of a bubble where they are falling without there being any real support in the market and no clearly identifiable bottom.

I think this happens every now and then. It's fair to feel scared or worry about your investment, but if you believe in what you bought, you should be fine  ;D

I'm a bit at a loss from this red market. But I think that this is not the end and the fall will continue.

Guys, do not be afraid, just use this incredible opportunity to keep buying some more cheap altcoins, this is nothing yet, maybe it will fall a little bit more, but just use this opportunity to buy as much as you can, it is very easy to make money with this bear market.

I lost 2/3 of my portfolio value in 2 or 3 days. Not a big problem because i'm not think in selling this period, i'm just going to hold and buy more when i can.

As I have read it not even the chinese are sure if that news (at least the chinese part of it) is true.

Not the first time, not the last time. These corrections simply happen from time to time when some people decide it's time to cash in. For long-term investors this should not be too much of a concern.

Bad governments of the world will try by all possible means to bring down the cryptocurrency world but they all will fail. I think the crypto world has come to stay even though there will be ups and downs sometimes.

It is in these moments that you have to put into practice what you have learned, and to test the one that studied, find the reason for the falls and learn from them and do not forget to fill the coin bag, better moment.

Free fall is the word.I just sat back and watched my portfolio slash down by $10k.For sure recover will happen soon but for now I'm holding hard and filling my bags like crazy.

This price fall is caused by the news that China and Korea want a complete ban of the cryptocurrencies. Investors hurry to cash out their coins, which causes the price decrease. It's also something that happens every year around this time. And this all coincides with Chinese new year, people cash out to buy presents and stuff before they go home for the holidays.

I agree with you. Market is too volatile only because of China and South Korea news... Bad situation, but we will see the growing in nearer future.

Korea and China FUD is affecting bitcoin price. However, I really think it's a good thing for investors because it's a good time to buy when everyone else if panicking to sell their bitcoin because of the chart fall. If you are late for selling and buying back, just hold on to your bitcoin.

I can feel for some people in the telegram chatsm some are really low under stress, and done a runner, typical buy high abd sell low, they even felt much better after sell at a massive loss.

There are many speculative maneuvers, as governments woke up and want to profit.
Btw, they can't stop anything: if I want to sell a car, for example, and accept to be payed in bitcoin, no one can say anything, if i pay my taxes in fiat money.

Watch the charts, 1 hr bars for potential reversal. BTC has printed the yearly low in January in 2015, 2016 and in 2017. It may be the same in 2018, if so this is the buying oppurtunity of this year.  We will see in 11.5 months...

Come on guys. We all know this isn't the end for cryptocurrency. It is a game of risk and gain,  up and down. So do not panic but think  and plan.

Yep. It's really normal :)) The price dump and pump everyday :)) But the big dump like this will take longer time to rise back than normal :)) Maybe it'll take for weeks for all cryptocurrency rise back as normal so trader and holder should be patient and wait until the storm get over :D

Nope I lost more than 50% of my portfolio and it is still dropping and this third day everything is dropping harder than the previous two days. Bitcoin is testing 10k USD support, if it doesn't rebound now then we are going into free fall for sure and that's basically going to be the big crash of Crypto where there will be blood in the streets and for some potential suicides. Many people and families only have crypto to survive on nowadays like myself, so if this doesn't work, many people will be left in dire poverty.

I really agree with you on this point because this major correction is really healthy for the market in a long term perspective, the last time when Bitcoin dropped from 5000$ to 2800$ it rose back and touched 19000$ , so just be patient and hold on to your cryptos because after this we are all gonna see new ALL TIME HIGHS.

This just opens a great opportunity for those who wants to hold. Though there is no assurance that it would rise up again. We must still take and remember that in this world patience and calmness brings great profits.

It's not free fall, it's just a correction. Look at the past charts, you'll see that every year in january there was a "free fall"

I'm not trying to be a dick, but why in the world would anyone put everything into such a volatile market???  People like that might as well just take their money down to the nearest casino and bet it all on a random number on the roulette table because that really is what betting on cryptos is right now.  There is nothing stopping a couple of people from crashing the market.  No, that wasn't a typo.  People don't seem to realize just how much power even the average whale exerts on the markets.  The big ones could probably move BTC 25% in either direction on their own if they wanted to, and since BTC is at this point the very visible mascot of cryptocurrencies as a whole, such a move would cause all of the others to move in cascading waves as well, which causes panic or euphoria in the gullible masses, which causes people to do even stupider things based on their emotions, and on and on.  It's been said before, but some people still don't get it.

DON'T GAMBLE WITH ANYTHING THAT YOU AREN'T WILLING TO LOSE.  ASSUME THAT WHATEVER YOU PUT INTO CRYPTOS IS ALREADY LOST!

I agree, Though we have witness this even before we cant still deny the fact of being worried and scared specially when you have invested a good amount. Lets just hope that this would not to continue but instead regain its normal state. We been experiencing this before because of Hard forks but this time is a new one. News are spreading and many are now panicking and getting worried. I still believe on bitcoin, this is just a season where fixing and testing of stability happens.


Hoping that it will go up, It may better If will be seeing this dropping as an opportunity to buy more coins. Back then, once price goes down it actually double its price in a few weeks. Lets see whether bitcoin can stand the attempt of Korea to stop the cryptosystem. Last time was China, but we have witness how Bitcoin stand that scenario.

All this is temporarily, in my opinion, simply an artificial panic to investors who have coins minted at a minimal price, which will later be regretted.

What we can do now is not to look at this next time, we should calm ourselves down, be patient and believe that bitcoin will return to normal.

Don't worry and hold you all coins. Market going up very soon. And all price will raise up again.

before seeing a big crash on stocks market this will be only correction.

you can actually increase the amount of coin in your hand by doing daily trades.
if you have experience in this matter, if you sell it when the price gets a little higher and you sell it when you fall again, you will at least have more coin in your hands and you can get away with this profitable period :)

This information is not officially cohesive, and it is through such news that the fragile coin market is being made, so there is no reason to survive everything is stabilizing.

It's just panic artificially created by governments and whales just to push people to sell and to make cheap cryptoshopping.
Keep your coin, and you'll see that in some weeks they'll start again to grow.

For some reason I don’t feel worried or even afraid of it. Bitcoin and cryptocurrency will not be stop just by this means. It has more power to recover and return to its glory days. It is just a test of time to eliminate wake hands that is perpetuated by whales and other high level crypto groups to buy low. Those who panic will lose and those who hold will soon win.

Well, let's keep holding our coin. Hopefully by next month, it will incrase again or atleast its price will reach up to $16,000. Seems like I have to cancel all my plans this week as I don't have enough funds and I can't sell my bitcoin as of the moment. And I'm needing money right now and I can't afford to sell my  bitcoin for a very low price. Looks like I have to wait for a couple of months before I can sell it.

Do what you need to do in your daily routin and wait patiently for a long time. The fall is just a normal phenomenon in the market. The price will rise in the future. If you have enough moeny, you can buy in more coins.

Very good point mate. When it was growing 200X like crazy, everything was natural and now it went a bit down and people are behaving like they lost everything they had. If you really want to become a pro trader, you have to learn how to get rid of your emotions.

Thats the best option we have as of now and taking the selling option is a losing one. I’m too need some money for mining upgrade but this is what it is and we now need to start a waiting profit. I’m a long investor so this is not a problem to me and trust to bitcoin. Patience is a virtue and believing that it will increase sooner the better for ourselves decision making.

I agree. Even after this fall, bitcoin price is still ten times more than one year ago.
Of course, there are bic speculation by govenments, bankers and whales, but me too I'm pretty sure that in some weeks anything will be solved.

Well, nothing can grow forever, so this one is just a big correction.

the subject of your post and the link in your post are two different things altogether.
free fall is way different from a major correction.
the only reason it seems like its a free fall is because not one but many major cryptos are having a correction.
i would say you keep your calm and use this opportunity to invest more in some coins.

IMHO that feeling that you have right now is the marker for buying opportunity.
When you want sell all your assets because you are sure the price will drop much lower. Thats when you have to buy.

 Good way to look at the situation dude. And if you did just that, then you'd probably be a happy man now. Everyone keeps on saying relax and just hold or buy more and today the market recovered really well. Many people made profits and are still making profits right now

It will start to correct itself soon and the prices will be rising again. I think the best option here is to just hold and wait.

I believe that in a long term almost any reliable crypto project has a great potential to grow. There is no need to check prices every now and then during a local correction. Big money are comming and the game becomes more and more interesting.
