If you had no choice and had to invest 100% of your crypto monies into 1 altcoin, which would it be and Why?

I am not buying soooo many altcoins right now, but maybe i would buy tons of Elixir right now with all that money (it is a good coin if you are not aware of this) lmao.

I know it’s centralized and works with banks. But I think it could be a money maker in the next 3-5 years because it has a real problem it is trying to solve and is already working with a lot of banks as well as Amex.

The $27 trillion of funds that are tied up at banks around the world is an issue and let’s face it, bank revenues have been struggling for years in the current low interest rate environment. They need to cut costs and are testing ripple. Worth a shot of your Investment.

Well if it's to invest 100% of my capital in only one coin, which is, by the way, a totally wrong strategy, I would play safe and I would go for Ripple.

It's already a well-established project, the team behind is strong and the market seems to love it as well.

I was going to suggest the same coin but due to the devs current situation, I'll probably go with either ADA or NEO. Still, XRP future is bright and I see it following the footsteps of XRB.

this is too difficult because we have too many altcoins that could we use as our investment for a long term and I am sure every coin will have the same opportunities to be increased. but I think I will buy waves but I don't think to all in our money is a good idea because it is too risky and I am prefer to buy for half from the total of our money. I will put it into NEO, it's similar to ethereum, has a strong community and right now starting to get popular with several icos moving to NEO from ethereum. They also have a rather high requirement for new project that will prevent a shitcoin being created in it's ecosystem.

That stuff I accumulate a week or so of whatever is most profitable, then try and buy EOS on the dips. YMMV but I'm all in.

Bitcoin Cash would be the one that i will chose to invest 100% my capital because  that coin was pumped insane in the last 3 months. It means people are paying attetion on it and it's good for an investment.

At the moment it would be ONION. Its actually cheap, and the more you have the more you can earn acutally on the airdrops they make. So even when it looses their value, you earn new coins which compensate the loss and if you wait untill the devs release their new stuff it will rise a lot and give you a very good profit.

If I had to invest in one coin for a long term (about till 2020), probably my choice would be Ethereum. Because I trust this project much more than others and it would be live in 2020.

If it is altcoin, I would prefer investing to Etherium since its market statistics is quite impressive especially at this moment wherein it already broke the 1000 -dollar mark so it also means that we may expect  from it in the future. all the money in one altcoyin is a rather risky undertaking. But if this condition is accepted, then I would invest in the etherium. The project has already proved its viability and potential. In the world, ICO is the platform of the number-one. Yes, now there are technical difficulties, but for a year or two, this project will give a good profit or at least save your investment

I think that i would go all in one with Raiblocks, this coin is a completely excelent startup for me, i love the team, i love the technology, and the community.

Having said that, I will never put all my money in one Crypto unless I am the one leading it(LMAO). Jokes apart, it is never a good idea to invest all that you got in one single Crypto. If I had to invest 100% of my funds, I would choose Ethereum, ETH has been one of the most recognizeable altcoin today and has been the backbone of most tokens. As ICO’s becoming morw popular these days, ETH., I think will have a more important role to play in the future, thus anticipating rise in value. We are already seeing ETH price increase hitting $1000 just this month, which I think will continue to grow in the coming months.

Maybe Skycoin for me. Most other "new" coins have only plans and ideas, doing marketing and fundraising before development, or even before having any working product. That's a good question and not an easy decision) But i guess i would choose between Ethereum and Neo. I think right now Ethereum is #1 but Neo has great future in my opinion. There are more and more projects based on this platform and as i know Neo has good relationships with Chinese government, so it has an incredible potential. I will suggest to invest in good coins which can give you huge return for coming years like  CARDANO(ADA) because Cardano is a decentralised public blockchain and cryptocurrency project and is fully open source. Cardano is developing a smart contract platform which seeks to deliver more advanced features than any protocol previously developed.And looking at the coin cardano was just 0.11@ before one month and now its trading at 0.56$ mean almost 5x times rose. So I see that cardano will touch 2$ in next 2-3 months

Looks like 2018 will be the year for the privacy coins and i like Turtlecoin (TRTL). Just over a month old and only started trading on its first exchange, tradeogre.com a few days ago. Current price on tradeogre is 4sats - was 1sat couple of days ago lol. Getting in early is important before it goes mainstream.

Its easy to mine  - if you have a decent GPU you should be able to get 20K coins per day. A lot of folks are throwing nicehash power at the pools recently so mining payoff on your own GPU has come down a bit.

There are many altcoins introduced in cryptomarket since last nine years. Apart from Bitcoin and ethereum I don’t see any altcoin have bright future. Secondly - you did not mention if your goal is short-term, mid-term or long-term.

So my answer will be 3 coins:

Short-term - VIBE - superbowl in 1 week, it will go up for sure
Mid-term - DeepOnion - best privacy coin, strong community, now really really cheap
Long-term - ICON (ICX) - supported by South Korea, today MainNet, 31st Jan Annual Summit, this coin will skyrocket in upcoming months/1 year, I really believe it could go 10x in 1 year with very low risk - Koreans would not let it die

I would choose to invest in a coin of a product company at their start, because no hype coin will provide such profit, as, for example SCHT coin, which is at the very beginning of its way.

The chances of that even doing a 2x anytime are slim to none.

Well i should probably choose zcash, like in other altcoins zcash has more potential than monero, i only look in this 2 coins if i will not invest on bitcoins or eth because my number one coin is just ethereum. I always rely on speculations and the majority is choosing zcash so i prefer this coin because there are more investors and the probability of increasing its value is higher.

Right now, my choice would be COSS. The price doubled due to an UI update and dropped after that to half. In March, when they introduce FIAT trading, I am expecting the price to double back to that previous ATH. Around the same time, during Q1-Q2, when they start introducing the new engine, the ATH should break. With the current rate and the non existing volumes, the coin produces around 4 % yearly dividend which I am also expecting to increase by time. Also thanks to the dividend, the coin has some actual value unlike most of the cryptos, and unless some hack or major mistake happens (again), the coin should be able to keep its value. Due to these reasons, I have a big position on COSS and do not have to stress about the market crashing.

Another choices would probably be NEO or XLM (or Arcblock ICO if I had to gamble and make as much money as possible as quick as possible). I would never have the balls to go all in in any other coin, no matter how promising they look.

Then I will choose Ethereum. Because the price is cheap but not very cheap. The price is more stable and if the price is fly high, then our profit will be seriously huge.

Ripple. I know this feel strange as XRP are centralization and controlled by banker group. MoneyGram has been announces, they interest joining partner with XRP as being tested on internal first as pilot program. As long as this being positive running, this steps will be following by others party to joining with and the demand of XRP in market will increasing for sure.

The choice is not easy, but I will try to make it. OK, I would pick probably NEO. I believe in this Chinese platform — despite the events connected with the events on cryptomarket of the country, I am sure NEO will become very powerful alt and platform of course. I vote it will grow in times.

Selecting a single coin out of 1,500+ out there in the market is going to be tough. If I am forced to do that, then I would chose Bitcoin Cash (BCH). I know that it is going to be an extremely unpopular choice, but I have my own reasons. If Bitcoin is ever replaced as the no.1 crypto-currency, then I believe that BCH will be responsible for that. Other alts such as ETH and XRP doesn't have the capability to replace BTC.

I woud go for NEO in that case. Some ICOs coming, great wallet, GAS earnings.
Or VEN, because of the already named rebrand and it´s running partnerships with enterprises and even the chinese government.
Also waves could be a good investment. The price is still low since the dips of january, it´s got an extremely fast blockchain, the DEX and huge developments on the roadmap.

In general, I would prefer platforms instead of simple tokens if I´d have only one coin to choose.
 

If 100%, i will choose BCH. I think most people would think the same to choose BCH. Because BCH has provided evidence and more benefits for investors. Not to mention the future is more secure, which is almost in harmony with Bitcoin itself. In terms of price is no doubt because the price enough better. For myself BCH can also be made as a long-term or short-term investment because the transaction process took place quickly.

I would probably invest it all into Ripple because it's the next best Cryptocurrency. Yes its centralised, yes its controlled by banks but the truth is, it's the strongest altcoin after Ethereum and  the developers are constantly working on making it better, with hedgefunds and with new announcements to make its tech even better. Banks control the world of fiat, so with them using Ripple tech means that Ripple will always be used and should show growth.

Always diversify your assets and investments so you don't have to get hit hard when something goes wrong with the project. But if I were indeed to invest in just one coin, I'll probably pick Semux. This is a very new project and had its main net launch just a few days ago. It's definitely a good project with a new set of algorithm for blockchain - Semux BFT consensus algorithm, a new approach to DAPPS. It is a secure way to manage the blockchain without spending the electricity requirements of POW method.

I don't think we should go for single altcoin for all investment , I know very well you are strongly restricted to get a advice to invest all 100% in single coin , but in actual it is very risky thing because no one can surely say that when the market can and when the up ( here negative factors matters much from the point view of a legimate trader ) .

Noobie here that has not had time to get into the technical side of ICOs but does organizing an ICO on some platform somehow lock some amount of the tokens or how does the decrease in supply is realized? Do they pay to the platform themselves to use it (I always assumed it would be free) or do you just mean that the ICO is paid in the platform's tokens and therefore the tokens end up to the ICO organizers and we just assume that they will never put them back in circulation? I would never invest in one coin, it's too risky. I would join prefer joining portfolio. There are some platforms for that, but they all have some defects for me. Waiting for Safinus to launch. We'll see.

There are quite a bit of FUD and the team are not interested in hyping up and promoting their coin, ADA, atm -- but just focus on developing Cardano. Hence, IMO, it still remains pretty under-valued atm; and have a pretty decent chance to suddenly shoot up substantially once a big milestone is met.

I would go with IOTA instead of NANO(formerly raiblocks), as it does everything that NANO does but has many more functions than NANO. Simply put, there is no shortcut to exploring and interpreting the research and info you come across BY YOURSELF.

To get good at crypto, you must lay down the information structure in your mind before your mind will be a good guide for you.  It's called a learning curve and in crypto it is steep.  I believe that is one of the reasons so many questions like this are asked here at BTT.

Without tackling the learning curve and understanding crypto as it is today, means you will be lost next week, month, and year too.

And as an early bird to the paradigm shift, you are by default an ambassador for crypto to the masses.  It is your job to understand this stuff, so when curious individuals ask you questions, you can answer with authority.  Spreading the word is the only thing that will work in our favor right now, not figuring out which coin to dump 100% of your money into.

And regarding the question posed, there are likely 75% or more of BTT users who know putting all your investments in one coin in today's market is the most foolish thing you can do.  So the question itself will tend to confuse other newbies even more than they are now.

Well just like everybody or almost everybody, I started with only one coin, Bitcoin, however the plan was to quickly get some Bitcoin Cash, and it was a nice choice since the price went really up in September 2017 if my memory is correct.

So to answer your question, if we exclude Bitcoin, I would probably trust Ripple for 2019 and further.

Not this one for sure, even before the collapse of the whole market, it has always been a coin that met many challenges and went through with some trouble. Even Litecoin was looking better (so to speak) at some point a year ago.

Invest 100% in one coin is not a good idea. Other than BTC and ETH, I will invest 100% in XMR if I have to do so. Monero is a good project with strong community and active developers.

Maybe i will choose ethereum also this kind of altcoin have a potential in the future same with bitcoin its popular to see than other coins if you gonna compare ethereum to other coins.

if i have some money and have to put on only 1 altcoin , maybe i will take universa as my portofolio.i have several reason for it.first was its price cheap enough and also universa feature on their blockchain very interesting.

Definitely Bitcoin, because this is the most stable coin on the falling market. During this difficult times it has lost no so much as all major altcoins. But still I would not invest everything in one single altcoin because I like to diversify my funds.

If I invest all my money in one altcoin, I'm likely to lose everything. If I had to choose one cryptocurrency, that cryptocurrency would definitely be Bitcoin. Although I have a lot of altcoins, but I'm not sure still about the future of these projects, I take risk.

I would not say that this coin is very reliable , I would not invest in it , it is better to take Ethereum it is more reliable and exactly suitable for long-term investment , but in General I would never buy one altcoin , the market is very volatile and everything can change in a short time!

Investing in the one currency gives you to the huge risk that had involved and that because we cannot say how cryptocurrency will change at any time so investing on multiple currency will be helpful for our future otherwise you can decide what you want to do but my opinion is this.

I think I will go with Ripple if I had to choose any other coin to invest in apart from Bitcoin and ethereum.

It has to be Bitcoin Air(XAP) for me. I would choose the ethereum it is reliable for 100% investment and very effective for the long term investment rather than other altcoins, ethereum has been tested for many investors and they get nice profit.

If there was this situation and I would not be able to choose from bitcoin or Ethereum, I would have bought NEO. I'd bet the whole thing on him. Its prospects are obvious to me. But still it is not worth investing in just one coin, especially if you have a choice.

Very high risks, I honestly would not do that. But if we take the option of not having another option, I would invest in the WAVES coin, I really like their technology, the actively developing decentralized DEX exchange and the active implementation of all stages of the roadmap.

Ripple, since it seems like the owner has a lot of bank connection. If they survive then Ripple will boom.

Without a doubt, it should be XRP. Forget about the technical things and just focus on what they have done last year. You will see how they have shorten the gap between Ethereum and XRP. They have taken the #2 by means of product improvement and I believe that they still have a lot to prove. This is one of the coin that every hodler should have especially those who prefer to hodl long term.

Just do what Mr. Turtle did with turtlecoin :) Dropped 50k at 2 sats about 3 weeks ago, now its trading at 5 Sats.

I would choose...MORE THAN ONE COIN!

I guess these questions are fun, but really, investing in just one thing has always been the worst idea in the whole world.
Time and time again it has proven that you will most likely lose money by putting all your money in one basket.
This is true in other markets as well as crypto.
With so much evidence and examples backing this up, only an uneducated fool would do that.

With crypto, it is easy to dream big.
People often think, "If I just would have bought btc five years ago, I would be rich!"
So they think that if they can just find that one lucky altcoin they will be millionares in a year or two.

This is basically gambling, saying, "If I just bought the right lottery ticket!"
It is always better to diversify, not just to reduce risk but to maximise profits.

For now I had no other options to select in other than bitcoin and ethereum. Because all of my investment is still on bitcoin. And I have no intention of investing it on other coins. Lets just hope that we can find good altcoin that we need to invest other than bitcoin.

If that i the problem, then i would choose between stellar and ripple, What i think is that those coins has a good market volume and i'm already tried to trade on those coins, and it gives me some profit, that is mostly the reason why do i choose those coins.

I personally choose between BCH and XRP, both of these coins have great potential in the market. So it's very appropriate if this coin is for long-term investment. All coins have advantages and disadvantages and of course, all coins will depend on the growth of Bitcoin.

Personally, I prefer to distribute my investments in the purchase of different coins in order to minimize my risks. If I had to choose only one coin, then I would prefer to work with NEO. Now it has an excellent potential for further development, I expect a rapid increase in NEO prices next year.

thats huge investment in only one portofolio.in my opinion that too risky moreover i see its daily volume trading only around $9166  in day.very small for existing project in market. i think there are many better coins than canya, you can take example for universa , eos or maybe ontology.personally i am prefer coin type than token.

I think best choice for is XRP because mass adoption is on the rise and it dominates banking and financial industry. Moreover XRP has partnered with more than one hundred payment providers and banks, this will surely have a huge impact on its value in the future.

I chose to invest in Ripple, in my opinion, Ripple is an altcoin that will be very advanced, because they have collaborated with various banks, so it will be very difficult for ripples to fall.

It seems to me that I have already seen this topic, but still I think that I need to answer the way I think today. I would not invest in just one project. You should understand that your entire budget depends on this project, this is not correct.

Sia (sc) is the best option to invest the 100% investment into 1 alt coin, Because history of this is was very good and completely faithfully for long time and  high return will be come in the near future in few months.

I don’t think that investing in one coin is a good idea. Once, I invested all my savings in the crypto market, and I barely managed to get to zero.

Depending on what the goal is, earning or saving money, one coin for both purposes is unlikely to fit, but if earnings, then probably Ethereum, while the price is available

I definitely would never have invested all my money in just one altcoin because it’s a roulette, it’s like going to a casino and playing black or red, it’s just not reasonable. Distribute the investment and reduce the risk, where you win somewhere you lose but wisely profit.

For me, such a choice would be Ethereum.
This coin has been showing itself for a long time from a bright side, and the decline in its price is a consequence of very strong market volatility.

If you had not implied the condition, surely my choice would have been ETHEREUM. But as per your requirement, i after ETHEREUM i would like to choose either NEO or WAVES.

I would like to go with Litecoin. It is really a good potential coin and also has the capability to over take Bitcoin's popularity and value.

I would prefer some other coin rather than LTC. Does not seem that it can go for long and when someone has to invest in just 1 altcoin then it should be much better than LTC, so that you can make money in the long too.

Nano. It is completely distributed and deflationary before gaining any significant adoption. If Nano forms a big partnership, and people jump onboard, the price will indeed moon...which will actually discourage people from using it as a payment and for everyday things. Who wants to spend a currency that would rapidly gain value with adoption? It would likely moon then crash and the instability isn't going to encourage people to use it like they would use fiat.

The one project I am absolutely confident in is XMR. Those guys truly believe in the tech and don't care about the price. Spent a few months in one of their Telegram channels and there were no lambos and no moon, just talk about tech etc. The devs passionately care about privacy, it's not about getting rich. And there will always be a place in the market for a privacy coin and XMR is the best without doubt.

As of today, I will prefer XRP or Ripple. Why? It is a fact that Ripple is known to be the third-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization after Bitcoin and Ethereum and has great potential when it terms of Cryptocurrency market growth. If we will be choosing an Altcoin to invest, we really need to do research of the current and latest trend.

I think it would be an XRP coin. An indicator of confidence in a coin is its market capitalization. XRP is in second place at coinmarketcap. But I never invest in one place, so there are several coins in my investment portfolio, which reduces the risk of losing my deposit.

I will choose verge (XVG) coin, i'm tracking this coin from long-time and getting so much profit. The verge token price goes up and down so many times, that i'll buy coin in low price and sell when it goes high again. I always suggest this token for investment, if you have no choice!

 Although it is not advisable to put all your money investing in one coin but if i have to try that .i think i will choose cet, looking at its potentials it looks like a coin that has a future. 

Excluding ethereum as part of my options might be hard, because it is one of my favourite coins. Well, if I am to choose any other one that is trending, I would go for XYO.
This particular coin is still very young in the crypto space and it has a lot of potentials.
It has the tendency of rising fast, if the team does not change it's mind to later scam people. Nonetheless, I belief in it.

I would do the absolute opposite thing. I do not know still why so many people trust XRP. It is centralized. Vice versa, the investment in Ethereum will give the best returns in future. I choose ETH for sure.

The world is wonderful just because there always are many options! I would never invest in 1 coin cause it's stupid! Stop doing useless things and learn the market and its main problems!

In fact, I don't perceive the choice of investing only in one particular project, I'm always impressed by the variety of cryptoperthite. But still, if you choose from one, except Bitcoin and Ethereum, I will stop my choice on the Ripple platform. For me personally, this is the best asset to date.

I can say it's TRON because it's decentralized platform and distributed storage technology will allow creators of digital content to cut out middlemen such as the Apple Store and Google Play Store.

Well, the fact that it is on the 2nd place does not mean that in the future it can change the place , I think ripple is not the best investment, I would take now eos or eth

I believe in Ethereum because what they want to do is amazing. Thanks to Ethereum revolution is coming, tokenization is coming! Hope that finally Ethereum will solve all its problems!
