Recently, Waves team twitted on their official Twitter account that they are developing their Smart Contract and going to release new desktop app Waves Client 1.0 with the security of a standalone local wallet!! I think it's a good news for all waves holder.

As a waves holder i am predicting that it will cross $100 in this year! What do you think??

I don't think it is wise to speculate on the price of any asset, including cryptocurrencies. If you believe in Waves, then invest but don't forget to diversify and control your risk.

I really have given up on price speculation and predictions in general. When I see the markets constantly crashing this month and no real breathing space for most coins to rise and many coins losing over 70% of their value I am losing confidence in the way crypto markets are going and these day traders and bots are destroying any real chance of many coins rising. We need new money in the markers and at the moment the markets are bleeding bad.

Well let's just wait for it to happen, speculations across cryptocurrencies has become more less relevant these days because most of the cryptos are dumping way too low compared to dumps before, even major news from top coins still it hasn't made an impact.
It shows that bitcoin's influenced over this market is still prevalent.

Anything is possible, but I think Waves lost its eye on the ball and now playing catch up to big projects on the space just look at NEO and Lisk, developing smart contract is not enough if no one is not going to use it, they need to make the platform atractivee enough to developers

Your cryptocurrency assets must be at least a few coins , not to regret . The best option is to split the Bank into several parts , and buy such drops like today

I doubt for every confident speculation by now even they have than this advantage. As long as bitcoin is controlling the price of altcoins, every speculation about the potential of one altcoin to go up will seems to be impossible.

For me possible waves coin will become $100 this year,  but we don't know what month it will happen maybe between month of june - December.  I hope that really happen because for sure we can make a lot of profit from that so better to buy waves coin now.

But they have possibility the price will decrease more.  So even the price possible to increase soon it is not 100% guaranteed to happen.

I think that Waves is one of the most undervalued coins of the top 50 coins, because have a dex fully functional and the team is working hard to respect the big and ambitious roadmap, in addition this project has a very large community

This looks like looking into a glasbowl. But just realize, a price of 100 would imply a market capitalization of 10.000.000.000, and would lift Waves on number 5 in Ranking. I doubt this. But looking forward to the new GUI and functionality.

Waves is a good platform with a lot of potential but the price appears to be largely controlled by whales. This is very off putting for an investor so better to switch to other projects like LISK. There was a time when they both had the same price but now LISK is 3 times higher than waves and is going to rise further this month (re-launching event)

we are just waiting for a month or 2 and we will see the rise of the price of this token in the market, Once the launch has made or even before that waves will hit the market like a rocket and everyone will be having a panic buying of the token. waves transaction now is better than ethereum because of some transaction issues and as we noticed they put more gas and much cozy now.

I dont think that waves will hit $100 this year but a good target is 30-50 dollar for me. This could be possible if we see so nice gains like in the last year 2017! Lets see and wait what will happen. Waves is a good buy and a good long term investment!

It would be nice when waves hit 100 this year. But it depends on the community, how they include waves. If theres a hype starting and the future token project will be created on waves, this would be help to increase some worth. And personally i really believe in waves because its a better plattform for smartcontracts den ethereum.

If Waves hit's a $100 it'll be a great year for the project.  It's still very early in the year so anything can happen in 11 months.  I wouldn't doubt it and the team has a lot of development releases this year.  It's best to just keep buying and hodling Waves until you are happen with the returns on your investment.

I hope so. But just today they dipped in value again. I'm feeling hopeful, though. As I understand it, waves are used to create a custom token which is good for start up projects. Waves is getting more useful as time passes by so I am hopeful that waves will still hit a significant high value, if not $100.

This is very good news. I am also a holder WAVES. The coin is very promising. I hope that it will cross $100 in this year.

I see room for growth in a few years after the improvements, because the crypto-currency market is in decline, every day launches a currency and many are not good for anything, and with that is killing the market, the coins with large potential is stagnant in the market.

This would depend I think if they will do something new about their plan. But according to the rumors which I heard they will announce this coming February about the Waves, lets see what could possibly happen after the announcement being done.

A good technology, and integrated wallet, leasing (AKA staking), all looks promising. Now, the type of projects that are now being launched on waves are rarely legit. This platform needs real rock n roll.

Not really, I believe that the waves will be worth $ 100 or more, the essence of the coin is not fully disclosed and until the end it is not clear why it exists at all, the edges of some small movements from the team. But I can be wrong.

the rising price of waves is not as high as ethereum. the track record of waves price was rising on the top in $12-20. To reach $100, however, we should wait for long time it might be half of year till 2 years.

I do not think it will reach even 50 dollars (and this is the most optimistic prognoses). Waves is a very good altcoin, but I doubt so very much that its growth will be as great as you suppose!

I think this is not too much expected value :) . The team is active and try to do their best. Recently they are developing their Smart contract. I am sure that it will hit $50 at the mid of this year.

I think that's too high to reach that $100 this year but I think maybe around $50 who knows possible because of that project, but they should do more projects so that your prediction will be true it will reach that price in this year.

That might be a possibilty if cryptocurrencies oricez will go up. Should the trust among digital currencies go up such that companies all throughtout the entire region where ever it is will support, the tendecy is that predection could even be surpassed.

There is a high probability that Waves will hit $100 but that would happen in the last quarter of the year. Waves has fallen hard in the last several days, as with almost all cryptocurrencies. While Waves has started to recover, the price to regain is a bit huge. Waves is still valued around $5 right now. The all time high of Waves was already more than $20 so there is still much recovery to go through. It might take more than a month before Waves will finally take over the previous all time high.

Sometimes predicting the movement of a coin I'd good because it guides an investor either to go in, wait for certain time or not to go at all. In other words, it would now be in research mode.

Meanwhile, waves for me is a nice coin, built like ethereum. $ 100 this year is not bad.

I also agree that Waves is hugely undervalued at the moment, especially considering how many useless coins have much higher market caps with nothing but empty promises.

A quick look into Waves's existing team and partnerships shows they have a really solid foundation and will easily get more business users onboard, especially in the eastern bloc, once smart contracts are implemented. The fact that they are working with Deloitte means they are one step ahead of the game as regulatory requirements become increasingly tighter.

The wallet, while still in beta, has fully functional DEX (decentralized exchange) and Leasing functions, albeit with low volume. Waves NG is already live and atomic swaps are on their way. They do need however to speed up development or risk getting left behind eventually.

All in all, very bullish on Waves this year.

waves is great project but they dont hype anymore if they start hype again it  will rise sharply. but 100 $ is unrealistic rigth now maybe 25-35 $. everybody can invest waves now.

Waves has been considered as one of the most favorite altcoin of the forum users like how ripple was until the pump and dump but I don't think it will make it to league of biggie

I doubt it will reach 100 $ this year. there must be real and sophisticated innovation to make the waves value bigger. there are currently many tough competitors to waves, there are many new ico that have brilliant technology and ideas.

I think waves has lost a lot of hype unnecessarily recently. It's actually an interesting project that already possesses a huge number around 100k TX/s. Compared to ETH where cryptokitties crippled the network, in my opinion the tech of Waves could end up being better. I always viewed Waves and NEM as more or less equal, undervalued projects, but for some reason NEM got into the spotlight and Waves was left in the dust. Not sure why.

If the market is bullish, maybe it could reach 100. I suggest to check also the status of all those other blockchains above and follow all the developments, some of them will definitively hit the moon! :'(

Waves is a project that has a good potential but I would like to see first how the project will develop this year in order to make some predictions of growth. We are waiting for this Smart Contract or something of a certain value, like this desktop app, just so I think it will grow

I think the waves hit $ 100 in 2018 is very difficult, because I think in 2018 there is a year where all altcoin will be difficult to increase the price, because I see the price of all altcoin decline is very much in this year, so I think for this year waves is very difficult to hit $ 100, but i believe in the future waves can hit $ 100.

I very much doubt this, although of course from the developers of the Waves project you can expect anything. DEX they already could run and everything works just fine. But all the same, probably worth buying Waves because they are cheap to stand now

Waves,Lisk, and stratis can reach $100+ in the following years, not in 2018 maybe in 2019 or 2020. For Lisk $10 is just a begining point like Ethereum when it reaches $10 and is stable for a long time. Waves ... It's price is about $4-5 and it's possibly will be $100+ in 2019 from my perspective. The usage of waves should be enlarged, that's all. The rest will happen eventually in the price.

I don't think waves will reach 100 this year the maximum will be $50. Lisk is got more chance that waves to reach the 100 mark.

This is not real! Just check NEO, how long is their way was before people started to move some ICOs to NEO platform and NEO is still not so popular platform. Then evaluate how much time will last till Waves will be one of the main ICO platforms and will hit 100$... They need atleast 1 year more to get atleast current success of NEO.

i think its too early to predict the price of waves, whether they soon to implement a smart contract, but we never sure about the price hike, as i can see on waves progress, it never raised again from its recent pump. although it is a good project before, it not has a potential to grow and hit $100 this year, and it takes too long to be.

This is possible if the money returns to the crypto currency market. Even those projects, from which I expected a huge profit, show news, improve the system, but the price falls and falls, no matter what. This is very good news for Waves. But with today's behavior of the market, any news is very little or does not affect the price increase at all.

To hit $100 Waves capitalization should reach 10 billions.

Waves does have a market cap of $600 million and a price of $6. If waves hit $100 it has a market cap of $10 billion. That is very high and I don´t thing it will reach this price in 2018 but it could in 2019 or 2020.

Waves is a really good coin and it is a used platform by most of projects. Waves already have a working decentralised exchange unlike most other platforms . Neo and Komodo is still working on decentralised exchange.
Only problem of Waves is the dominance of Ethereum and Neo in the market. Waves team is a good team however they have to be more active in pr marketing

According to the tweets I have been seeing for Waves.  It looks like the smart contracts are a high priority and is currently being worked on at the moment.  I am sure once they are implemented, the price of Waves will increase.

It fluctuates like crazy too and had been taken by the red that happened with all the coins.
It will be hard to predict it even if they create something like that.
They need a good marketing strategy for this good coin to be used by more companies as an ICO.
The problem is most ICO that is under Waves failed and I am hoping one who could somehow take that bad omen off or will be the next cool company that will let Waves be known also.

Waves to reach $100 ? It is a tall order. Despite what they have done patronage of their coin is too low. For Coins to be liquid there must be much demand of the coin in the market which demand will drive the price. Waves demand is not there for now. The innovation waves want to embark is good for their marketing.

I believe that this is not possible because there is too little time to raise the price to this level!

I am also a waves holder. Holding them for about 1 year. But i dont believe that it is going to reach to 100 usd soon. I think sasha does not want waves price to go up yet. It s been so long time and dex is still useless with very low volume...

Speculating price in the cryptospace is a big gambling and risk as no one can predict absolutely the direction that the market will go in real time. I don't think $100 for Waves in 2018 is that feasible neither will be absolutely impossible. Anything can happen. Hopefully,  positive.

Maybe it will not go that high because there are more competitors than before. There are NEO, Cardano, NEM, Stratis and Ethereum to choose from in terms of smart contract. You may profit but it is still best if you diversify your funds.

I do not think because in this year crypto experience a drastic decline of all coin in the market all look red probably at the end of the year will return to normal.

I don't think Waves deserve to have its price around $100 but it worth to be in the $20 price range, Waves I don't know about Waves is that the team collected 33000BTC during its ICO and I believe they will still be sitting on some of this fund but the team seems to want to do everything, they need to rebrand the platform and focus thier energy on the right market

I lost my hope long time ago. Waves will go up in the future but growth rate would be less than other projects again. It's just a heartbreaker. It should've been in Top 10 already. They just couldn't compete with other projects. Sasha has good intentions but it's not enough. I don't think we see $100 this year. Even if we see it that will be because of whole market rally, would not be special for Waves.

Frankly I can't believe that it could happen. But on the other hand $100 is just x7 from the previous high. If we take into consideration the growth at 2017 around x80 it is obvious that x7 is a pretty humble forecast for 2018.

I'm also hoping it does, it's been a long wait, they seems to be out of the competition because of this, project developer prefered Ethereum smart contract because of the lack of Waves great features, only thing I like about them is the security, we seldom see people post, that there waves was hacked.

It might not necessarily be the next big thing but it's certainly undervalued at the moment and the team has been actively developing and promoting it. Waves-NG went live on mainnet in December, new desktop app was launched this month, there's been a few partnerships confirmed and they've been working to launch fully compliant ICOs in Singapore soon. Plus of course the big update is smart contracts which should be in Q1.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if Waves got a major pump soon like BCH few months ago.

Personally, i think that waves is not that bad coin to invest in but theres other better coins like stratis for example, you have to make your own analysis before investing in any coin. Its always risky to drop your money on an estimation and a dream that might never happen.

I'm studying this coin for weeks now and I believe that it can go higher and have the potential to do so. But we can't tell when will that happen though this is a good coin there is still no assurance of profit.

Waves will certainly hit some big price levels in coming years but we cannot predict that to happen within this year itself because now a days crypto industry is facing lot of competition from many good projects.
So, we cannot predict how waves may attract more investors in coming months so that it will be getting some huge price levels like $100.

I wish that so much. Before the market collapse waves reach values of ETH in the begging of 2017. Waves won't make that performance as ETH but half of it is enough for investers i think.

I don’t see any point in your comment as I remember before bitcoin cash hardfork I converted half of my btc to waves by believing it will be the best alternative for ethereum . Same time if I would have invested in Neo I would get better profit. I think it’s better to go neo instead of waves.

i dont think so, it has a lot more way to go before waves hit 100$, waves is for long term holdings, and i dont think that it will make a name this year. it will pump for sure but not actually reach a 100$ in just a blink of an eye.

It is hard to see waves getting to $100 because of the said news! If you ask me I would say waves is already late developing smart contract ethereum control 99.9% of that market. It would be good though to see another alternative to ethereum smart contract.

There are some good news during Feb-March 2018, so probably will rise very soon, but not 100$ yet.

I'm saying no way.  Waves is a dog and I have no idea why.  Great project, great team. The price will simply not run.  It's the last to start moving with the market and it's the first to start tanking during dumping periods.  I will hodl but not looking for much in the way of high prices in 2018.

the movement of waves is currently very slow and also a lot of fierce competition in various altcoin I think waves will not be reached until that price in the next few months.

if that new update is realy good tmaybe waves price will move to the next level but i dont think if waves will goes up to 100$ each its quite imp[posible for a poor flatform to reach that far. maybe if they can do more better on there service and do mere better on ther owns exchanger then i will say ok you are right.

There is nothing in this world which is impossible but still it is very much difficult for any of the coin to reach up to 100 k $ and that too in just a year.

It will take some time for the market to grow and to reach up to this value. The number of investors investing is continuously increasing and the graph is increasing and rising high. So we can really hope for the best and that time is not too far when the market will reach up to this value.

at this present, waves is about $7-$8. so I think it is difficult to reach that price. but because I am one of waves holders I always support it. if the development can be acceptable by people and with sophisticated technology, there is no reason that price will reach $100. 

I think it is impossible and difficult to reach that point because now price of waves is $8. if the waves platform is going to be developed, it might reach maximum $50.

I've started investing in Waves too.  Holding it for long term.  I think it has the potential, the news from the team is a good news to finally get more people be interested in waves and somehow move a portion of their investment in waves.  Then maybe yes, it could hit $100 this year.

If the Devs bring something good to the table then perhaps it will be a good investment, and it's price will go very high this season.

I have seen a lot of crypto currencies and a lot of them goes beyond my expectations. Now when it comrs to Waves whose got a lot of potential to be used just like ethereum it will be worth the value.
It is also nice to trade at their website in which you will pay just a little amount of Waves and is a lot cheaper than other exchanges.
Problem is there is not much traders out there.

no its impossible for waves to hit $100 this year,and maybe for the next 5 years..waves is a great coin with the great team behind,but they must have an update about their platform so they can attract many investors to make their coin grow and hit that $100

It is actually at present time World's fastest decentralised blockchain with 100Tx/S and with capacity to increase this to 1000Tx/S when network need arises.

Once Smart Contracts are released in April, the USP of speed, low transaction fees and consumer grade UI will do things to Waves Market Cap that will make people who remembered reading this thread and, instead, jumping on the latest vapour hype coin cry floods of tears!  :P

Waves was big hit last year through ico and new coins developed on Waves but this year new coins coming in waves platform slightly slow down and i heard waves coming up with their own exchange platform as well

I hope waves will rise but they have to improve their exchange.. I have some tokens that are on waves platform and liquidity is almost 0....

No. This year it is absolutely impossible. If Bitcoin touch 150000 $ only. Waves is good platform, but it is lack of development at the moment, like Sasha engaged with another projects (maybe) and Waves just on the cryptowaves without any drivers to grow.

I still think waves is undervalued and is actually a functional product when compared to other top 100 projects. Don't forget Waves Platform AG is actually Swiss registered and that Waves has huge potential, globally.

I think it's unfair to compare Waves and ETH, when the latter have had far more time and resources to develop. As much as I am bullish on Waves, it won't overtake Ethereum anytime soon.

That said, we have to keep things in perspective and understand that, currently, Waves' market cap is less than 1% of Ethereum's market cap，so the upside potential is absolutely huge. The thing that was more sorely lacking in Waves, which is smart contracts, is already under development so the gap should start narrowing.

I think waves should have risen a long time ago, it is a good project but there is too much price manipulation. I think it is better to sell and invest in steady risers suck as NEO or LISK. There was a time a few months ago when LISK and waves were the same price, better to switch to lisk.

I have the big hope on Waves. I follow this token from the bottom and have some investments in it. But now it's not so promising because devs are not doing "shock news". Still hodl and still waiting. I will check the balance in December. For sure the token in "must have" category

That coin shouldve taken its flight long ago. It was next to ETH when it comes to services. Easy smart contracts and fast transactions. I just do not know why it was left there like it is just stored. It has a greater purpose and maybe someday some ICO company will see it.

I have been keeping an eye on Waves from when it was about at the $2 mark not too long ago and I've been tentatively thinking about investing since it looks like there's been a load of chatter about them introducing smart contracts into their platform which would surely drive the price up in time.

I just need a bit of advice on whether to get in now that its around the $5 mark or be patient for the dip to get in and hold it?

I surely think so, I bought 100 of them at like $4. So that would be a nice profit, overall ATH wil be reached again in November, December. It's always like that. WAVES also have to put smart contracts on the main net soon. that will be a big boost. I think it can even overtake ETH next year.

While waves is a coin that I like in I think that the developers are doing a great job developing their coin, I really do not see waves growing almost 15 times in this year, maybe a coin with a very low market cap could do something like that, but waves has a market cap close to 600 million so it can not go up as easily as you think especially in the current conditions of the market.

Neo is also one of my favorite coins. It has shown us the strength den potential to survive in every passed dip. Though it is not my top priority to buy neo but it is my recommendation over many other coins. Bitcoin, ethereum, bitcoin cash and litecoin are the only digital currencies that if consider better than Neo. All these five coins and waves are what we can trust with our money. They all return profits.

i use to be a fan of this token because of its very promising potential but i guess they are moving very slow as of now. knowing the words of it's devs that they are intentionally making it slow down to have a real good supporters and not just creating a community hype. I think waves has lost a lot of hype unnecessarily recently. It's actually an interesting project that already possesses a huge number around 100k TX/s. Compared to ETH where cryptokitties crippled the network, in my opinion the tech of Waves could end up being better. I don't think that waves will going to make it this year because if you look at its graph, falling down of its market price is more dominant than having it maintained or having it raised most of the time.
