Was very busy with my work today, then suddenly i decided to check the price of btc if its starting to rise again. But then, i was shocked when i saw its price which is almost 6,000 usd. What will happen to bitcoin's price tomorrow or the next weeks to come? Will it continue to drop or will increase a little? Why is this happening? Thats a very huge drop.

Bitcoin was at about $600 around one year ago ... use that as your perspective as to what could occur if the bottom completely falls out.

I personally think it will continue its downtrend. We may see bitcoin price dropping as low as $3000 are nefore it bounce back.

Bitcoin value now is constantly dropping and some holders of it is panic and trying sell the bitcoin they hold. Later bitcoin is almost 8,000 USD and suddenly its decrease to almost 6,000 USD. Now, 6,000 USD is the lowest price of bitcoin the possibility to decrease it again continuous. Hoping soon bitcoin recover it value at the highest price of it in 20,000 USD.

Most people don't understand how the market will act and there are a lot of people panic about the bitcoin price and start selling them for low prices in the market. People should get more awareness about the Bitcoin because it is not crash and simply calling as market corrections.

There are speculations that if BTC breaks $5k it will continue to $4k before it bounces back. Hope I have funds when that happens since that was the price of BTC September last year  ;D


I agree. As long as you don't sell and convert to fiat there's still hope that you'll profit again in the next coming months. Let's just be patient.

If it is continue to drop, many of us will buy bitcoin and it is people's dream. And this is not shocking because the flow or crypto is up and down. But I think the other reason why Bitcoin is dropping maybe because many countries are banning cryptocurrencies.

Here you can also see a lot of people analyzing why bitcoin prices are falling, but I suggest you, for whatever reason, your last choice should be HODL Instead of panic, you have to stick in the end, sell no benefit to you, you need to go out to relax.

It's not important to lose value. We want the technology to continue as long as we have the world.

It is not unusual for bitcoin to drop since bitcoin is always doing this for year now. Last year dump also happened and it did not last. It is the first month of the year and a lot more month will be coming, that means there is a lot of other months that will come and it still has a lot of time to pump. You don't need to worry, just buy some since the price is low it is the perfect time to invest.

I suggest don't look on to your portfolio for today. There is a lot of happenings some are due to news and some is totally unexplained even using TA,that is why they always suggest to invest what your willing to lose. I am waiting for a $3000 dip before buy again. Just what they say you will only LOSE when you sell it(-). For now, I am busy doing airdrops and bounty  :) and praying lols!  ;D ;D ;D

I am also checking the price of bitcoin whenever I feel excited about its price.  And then yes, sadly I saw that its price is almost only $6k from $20k before.  But still I am positive that its price will atleast goes up.  I am looking forward to the time that just a part of bitcoin can already give a good fortune.

Analysts wrote that under pessimistic forecasts, bears can push the price of bitcoin to 5,000. However, all, of course, expected the implementation of more optimistic assumptions. I think that lucky to those people who are just entering the world of crypto-currency with their investments now. And I have no idea how founders of finished ICO projects are handle with this red market, some hardcaps could be easy softcap now (in $$$)  ::)

I am not understanding your strategy i just checked your previous posts all your doing creating FUD . If you cant help the people with actual fact then be quite . Dont create panic over people . Current trend is the lesson for investors . Bitcoin overall currency not a stock . So currency value grow slowly not rapidly .

It's the dynamics of the market. The price is reached where buyers meet sellers. If there are more buyers the price goes up. In this case, as the price has been going down it means there are more sellers. I'm not sure what the OP doesn't understand. Is he or she suggesting that prices should always stay at their ATH, or that they should be more stable? If we look at the price now it is, as the OP says, $6k (they actually said it was $16k in their post but I'm assuming that was a typo and they didn't bother checking). This, $6k, was the price at the end of October 2017. The price then dropped a bit in the first week of November and then rose again to $6k in mid November. From there it went on to its ATH from where it has since dropped back down to $6k once again.

It's now at $6k and in a downward trend. The people that had bought around October 2017 and who may well have held since may be beginning to sell. It's either that or start losing money. Selling now, for those buyers, means they won't lose. Holding on, or "hodling", could mean they see their investment fall. By selling, it means that the price will go down further. Maybe to $5k. Then, the cycle will be repeated. Those that bought in Septemeber at $5k will start selling to avoid losing their money. That in turn takes us to $4k. And so on. And so on. All of this is what happens in dynamic markets. It's perfectly normal market behaviour fuelled by people's fear and greed.

Hope this post explains clearly to the OP the answer to the question that they asked. If not, then they should consider not participating in markets subject to this kind of price movement.

I think there'll be more days to come where its market value will continue to be in red. But still, the best thing to do is to hold and avoid selling to make its demand in the market high as well as its market value. Indeed this is a huge price drop also, it would be an opportunity to invest now that its price is low.

The best option would be to take a break for a month or two from cryptocurrency, I don't think it would improve this early.

This time there is no reason of price drop, atleast I have not heard any reason for today's drop.

Just hold. This is massive FUDs from Whales that want you to sell your bitcoin to them cheaply. If you HODL, it will go up. Last year, BTC fell in January but then went up 20 times.

Maybe most of the people are scared and are panic selling. There are many factors and reasons why. But I know that it will start to grow again because we are still devoted to bitcoin. The issue is that holders are expecting bitcoin's price to stop falling and to grow again. But I am sure there are many buyers who are just waiting for bitcoin's value to become low and then starts buying and investing again. We are the one that controls the market that's why we all are the reason for everything in bitcoin.

We accept the fact now,that  bitcoin continue to dropping its price value,because of they said the correction of the bitcoin price value,and it will continue to down until this month of april it will turn to $4000 in 1btc as what the news headlines about crypto will explode .one factor also of this going down value of bitcoin due to china stamp out cryptocurrency trading in there market exchange, its is reported in the financial news under in the people bank of china,that they blocking access overseas website and removing all application from the app stores.

I think you mean 6000 USD. Do not invest in crypto if you know nothing about it because that is very pathetic. This drop usually happens in the month of january to february for the past years. My reason to this is because there are many people withdrawing fiat money thus decreasing the value of cryptocurrencies especially bitcoin which is the most commonly used.

Surely you can sell it price is still high, but if you take a very good decision to sell it, then you can buy it when bitcoin price touched in the price of 2k dollars, of course you will get a profit when you buy at that price, and wait in summer later, usually bitcoin prices will rise again in that season !!!

No one will know if the market price gets higher or lower than the price today. By this time, the price of it continuously to drop but it is happen also in a way back several years and months so it means that it is possible again to pump and get a higher profit if we still hold.

I was suppose to get amaze that I can buy bitcoin now for low cost its a perfect time or in the next few days or weeks bitcoin will drop more and it is time to the investor like me to buy bitcoin not all the year bitcoin will drop. The price of bitcoin drops very quick in the last few weeks. Every week we can see about 20% drops in bitcoin. The current price is only 30% of the peak price.

No one knows for certain what will happen. It could drop or could increase. Unless you have a crystal ball there is no way to know what will happen. The good news is, whatever goes down must go up and vice versa - that's is the nature of all trading markets. Will it go up tomorrow or in 10 years? No idea however it will go up at some point. Last year, at the same period (more or less one month,  don't remember so well), the price was around 3k. I'm not saying I want it to fall back to those levels, I don't, but I don't understand why people are freaking out. It s just how bitcoin works. And I'm ready to bet that in December, the price will rise back to historical levels!

Indeed, for people trying to make a living using bitcoin as a tradng tool, this situation is hard to handle. But bitcoin has never been designed as a trading tool and should not be used that way...

The bitcoin now is decreases because of the value of the bitcoin before last December the bitcoin almost 10k usd dollar but now a days it's getting low because of the investment so the bitcoin now dump you can hold your bitcoin first for the time it can grow.

no , this year isnt the bad year or the worst correction for bitcoin because if you look at its price and compared it from last year , bitcoin has still grow a lot despite of this major drop however 2017 is actually the bad year for bitcoin because it has also decrease a lot on that year and it last for about a month if im not mistaken but then again  its value went up and recover eventually that result for him to reach its new all time high. also , i dont think more parties will support bitcoin because we've been hearing some bad news lately regarding on bitcoin.

February is really affecting the market's price as of today, maybe its because of the pump last december that increase the value of bitcoins to 16k dollar so i think that its normal for cryptocurrency to fall today because it will still go back to normal in just a few months, just keep on holding your coin in order for you not to lose profit.

I will be happier if the price of bitcoin will go even more deeper than 6k usd because i want a lower price than that because i want to get more bitcoin and since i have a limited amount of fiat then i will be careful with spending it to bitcoin so i want low as possible for bitcoin so i can get in and be a long term investor.

Not sure who are you talking with man! But I believe you aren't aware of the reason why bitcoin price declined. If that so, I suggest you make some reasearch to know why these coins decreased its value then you'll get to understand the essence of that sudden decrease.

The price has recovered since this thread was created, so the drop stopped, this happened for the simple fact many people invested in bitcoin without any real knowledge about the technology and only wanted to get some money out of their investment and since they violated a basic rule on investing which is to never invest in something you do not understand, they lost money.

Not may be sometime but right now we can see the price of Bitcoin increasing gradually from last one week and soon it will cross $10k again.

Yeah, anyone who understands the volatility should always not bother about it, looking at the history. Also, anyone who feels they can be extremely emotional can just invest only what they can afford to lose, so that would make them keep their mind at rest and not bother about the volatility of the market. The reason why some people panic is because they are always eager to make quick money, go all in because of that and then they experience something they should not have.

And that is the main reason why the whales and institutions always read this on the chart and know that having people like this in the system will always give them more profit in the long run. We always have such category of people anyway, so it is not new. BTC reaching the price of $6k USD is highly unlikely now. We're currently seeing accumulation of whales by buying large volumes of BTC at the current price range. The BTC market tested its major support at $9.5k and we're heading back towards $12k and beyond. For the long term, once BTC has been fully developed and LN has been implemented, the price could rich the moon again.
