Not sure.  It looked like earlier it was going up and it did for a while and now a little bit down again.  I think it's struggling and won't fly for a while.  People are cautious and rightly so.  I think buying now would be a great gamble.  I'd wait to see if the price drops to 6 again and buy in then if I was really set on buying.  But I don't think it's anywhere near out of danger zone yet. 

It can go even lower to 5000 after a few weeks.

Try to wait its new fluctuation then differ it from today's price activity. Hopefully, this is not the bottom for the price because I want also to buy more bitcoins and I wish that after I bought bitcoins, it will start to rise up again.

That said, one of the most convincing arguments I heard so far, puts the lower bound for BTC at 5000 USD (assuming away the highly unlikely event of MASSIVE crack-downs on several fronts at the same time). The argument uses the cost-base of the miners, which is currently about USD 5000 as the bottom. Professional miners are the most powerful owners of bitcoin. Below USD 5000 they start losing revenue rapidly. To prevent that, they would attempt to remove liquidity and thus stabilize the price of BTC around the USD 5000 mark.

No, not yet. I still expect more backdrops since Bitcoin is still volatile in the market. But I think there'll only be mild dumps compared to what happened recently. Hoping that the increase will now be continuous to help Bitcoin to recover. For now, invest and hold. Patienly wait until coins get fully recover from the dumps.

The price will not drop any further. The US Senate hearing was quite positive and right after we see the price increasing. After all the FUD it's now time for a huge rise. Investors and people who missed out should be buying now and bitcoin will increase again, 20K is within reach.

This question has been asked a few times and the real answer is no one knows. Based on price action alone, looking at the daily price charts, it is impossible to declare this the bottom at this point. Bitcoin price has been declining steadily since December 17, 2017. Since then there have been some attempts at recovery which lasted 1 to 3 days, only for the price to turn back down. This is just one day in the green. At this point, it is impossible to call this a  recovery. For the recovery to be confirmed, the price would have to rise consistently over more than three days, and these gains would have to be sustained. What I'm doing now is watching the market for confirmation of a new upward trend before going in. Though, this approach has a risk of missing the start of a trend, it is safer in case price turns back down after a day or two.

I dont think that  it could not happen that we could not reach to the bottom that the value of bitcoin going back to zero,because,as i see now in the market blockfolio  the value of bitcoin and some other altcoin turns back to positive,maybe this is the indication now that the price value of bitcoin going rise again and i hope so,in order that those there saying that the price of bitcoin will goes down into $4000 in 1btc this coming next month will not been happen,instead its going back  to rise up again.

 Bitcoin always been about speculation. I know plenty of people who got in while it rose to $12,000-$15,000. For a presided analyst, requires constant observation of the on-going graph with back to back buying and selling transactions.

 Throwing a huge chuck of funds in any crypto-currency for just a single transaction is not an investment, but increasing the volatility of your savings backed up by speculation.

We cannot easily predict what will happen in the Bitcoin price. But one thing is for sure that the price now is still low so we better to invest now and then hold until the price will increase again. Bitcoin is too big to lose so we can never go wrong if we will invest to it and other altcoins. There are speculations that Bitcoin will rise up too soon so let's be patient to wait and believe to it.

Why? Unless we will be hit by some other 'revelation' and negative news I don't think we will go lower.
Look at the price charts currently, we have +6.22% in recent 24 hours, which mean that main decline is (hopefully) behind us.
This price is seriously a buyer's dream, I myself bought BTC instead of selling it - and frankly speaking, you should do the same.

It is a wise thing to do that. The market will be change every period of time. We can survey from all articles in the past few years. The price always up and down. I will do the same with you and I'm sure everybody does. Just wait the opportunity to buy and keep waiting until the price increase.

Maybe we'll have to wait in a few weeks until Bitcoin is at the bottom, if it's going to happen it's the right time for us to memeblei some bitcoin as our investment in the future. And I hope when I've bought it the bitcoin price will keep going up.

The price is not bottom yet and you will never know the bottom price. Few months ago, this price now is ATH so fingers crossed it wont go further down.

I was so close to pulling everything out yesterday but got some great advice from a friend to stop paying too much attention to prices and let it do it's work.

Crypto isn't going to die, we should know that by now. A correction was needed to slow down the market, it was not just crypto that was affected anyway, there were rippled throughout the global economy.

I think we are close, but it doesn't really matter if you are hodling. We have seen these dips happen again and again, and long term the price will be a lot higher. If you come back and look at this post 1, 2, 3, or even 5 years from now you would be wishing over and over that you had bought in at the current price, irregardless of whether it was the true bottom for this dip. The upward trend has been and still is continuing and the panic sellers now will live with the same regret as those who sold out over the past few years each time there was a dip.

Yes, it is possible that the bottom has already been reached. But how quickly restoration can be shown by time. After all, these processes are influenced by a lot of objective factors - the state and trends of the market of crypto-currencies and subjective factors - negative information (sometimes it is spread specially).

Today's increase does not mean that the bottom has been reached. Once there have been a few ups and downs in the range of 4-8k which kind of indicates a "curve", one can say that the bottom is reached. A one day high does not mean a lot. Also SEC and few governments are commenting on ICO, TOken etc. but real action is missing yet. Once first measures to safeguard investors are in place, rating will go further down before it will settle, and then go way up again...

I think it is very common that the current position will decrease, but do not change the chances in the next month we will win again, for me nothing is impossible, must remain optimistic. ;D

Hope to have a positive result of what the US proposal towards crypto, even it won't reach into $100k at least we've seen any indication of US support towards crypto. With that, it could be a mirror for other big countries and placing priority on crypto discussion for their programs. Exactly, cryptocurrency needs full support from the community for it will grow and spread globally that's why we need them.

I think it really did have a positive impact about the price because after the US hearing, the price suddenly jumps and its fluctuating between $8K-$87xx. Of course everyone's eye is on the US and after the hearing, it looks like this could be a major influence on a global scale. They didn't think the crypto is so disruptive hence their stance.  They expresses optimism about blockchain. At least we heard someone who's authority cannot be underpinned such as Clayton and Giancarlo.

This is the kind of positive news that we need to hear. We have been trap in this winter crypto which I felt been longer as expected. I do hope that we are going to bounce back again and see bitcoin flourished once again.

Im not exactly sure if we are at the bottom price-wise. There could be new lows to come. However, i hope we begin to see stable prices and rises so that more people will be interested in the BTC. Its not a good time for those who have already invested but i will say that they should be patient. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Nobody can tell if whats gonna happened in the next week or months. But i guess there will be a last dip  for the coming weeks as expected. And the price of bitcoin become stable for the month of may then it will rise.

Based on the price and volume of BTC in the past hours, I can strongly say that we've reached the bottom and would make a reversal trend in the coming days. Well, truthfully speaking, I'm just being optimistic here.  ;D This crash gave me so much headache and stress that it also affected my sleeping pattern. People are currently seeking any sliver of hope that this price crash has already ended but we can't really tell. What we can do right now is to prepare for any scenario, good or bad so that we'll know what to do when that time comes.

Not wanting to enter into a war of principles, but just pointing at some patterns in a chart is not a justification for any specific market movement of attainable level. With the randome fluctuations in the market it is possible to re-create any "pattern" that supports a narrative by just changing the time resolution.

Based on what? Why 4000 and not 2000 or 6000? Guys, it would be helpful to provide at least some arguments instead of just picking numbers out of thin air.

As you know 1.2kUSD rise is nothing, we saw 10x of this movement :) but unfortunately the movement we had was strong, all is frightened at the end. I start expecting to see 5kusd levels then may be 3kusd is possible.

i believe bitcoin is not at the lowest price because rightnow we have just only seen the small recovery from bitcoin, but still dropping slowly every hour, we are at the high risk way, so think carefully when trading in this time, bitcoin is very fluctuative recently, the fact is from 7600$ yesterday but soon reached 8400$ and slowly drop until 8000$ now. i don't know exactly will bitcoin drop more than this in the future but i know the risky time to trade.

No after doing a little bit of research i fount out that the status of bitcoin compare to last year the same month is little bit identical so that if i am correct the value of bitcoin will rise after a few weeks. because of the holiday season is over. the best thing to do right now is to hold and buy.

Before concluding, what do you really mean by that bottom? People have different says for that and also perspective. What I am seeing is for you telling the deepest hook on bitcoin value. But as I read this thread the bottom of my perspective is a total zero. Which is obviously a no for me if you are to ask if bitcoin just reached it.

For the price of bitcoin now, it's not yet reached the bottom. Me and we all also agree for that. Bitcoin can reach the highest price from now. Because if you join bitcoin from 2years ago, that's sure you can got a lot profits than now. No one can predict about bitcoin price, just wait and do the best for your own kingdom.

He probably means the bottom of this current correction. And i think we've already bounced back from that a couple of days ago since we're now testing again the 8-9k waters. Btc got a good boost from the sec senate hearing and a lot of people took it as a good sign so bearish market is likely ending and we're going sideways for the moment

I am not sure about it but hopefully it won't fall even more. As we can see at this moment, its market value is starting to rise,slowly, but that's already something to look forward with than the continuous backdrops on the past weeks. We should focus holding now and investing to make the increase continuous and for its price to fully recover.

You can’t say anything as you never know the market value in the days to come as the market value can fall down as well. The thing is no matter what the conditions are, you need to prepare yourself in a way that you can make out the maximum advantage out of that thing. I think that we already reached the bottom too. The bear market has not yet done? The whole month of January we are into that market. But who knows if that bear will here to stay but as I'm checking the price there's already a good sign that we need to be ready for a bull market very soon.

Most likely yes but I'm not sure about that. New investors' behaviour is important. Most of them entered to market to get rich as soon as possible. They really didn't care bitcoin and blockchain technology. But when they saw the reality is different, they left the market with huge losses. If they can be steady and don't make panic sells I think market will go up (but not moon for now).

Actually you can’t predict about bitcoins. They can do anything. Sometimes they are jumping like a frog and reaching the moon and now see them they are going down, more and more. Bitcoin is the best virtual currency in the world. Not only that it is also the most valuable currency.Last year the price of Bitcoin was started with only 9000$ and ended with 16k$
This year if the price of Bitcoin rise like the last year then we will see the price at 40k$. I think yes, the buying power below 6k previously is so high that the price didn't even reach the exact 6k mark. That symbolizes the very bottom of the price, with the relative strength index at over sold you could even say a sell order is automatically been sold those time. Currently, the price could go sky rocket again. At the time of this posting the price is almost 10k which is far away from the all time low of 6k, this signifies a clear mark that the bottom is the 6k and it is no turning back.

I was expecting this level much before but somehow there was a delay due to the actions of the big whales. Now at this point, I don't think that Bitcoin will fall further and even if it falls, there are some clever investors who will pour capital in it considering the long term gains so yes, it is safe to say that it is bottom of price. However, it will remain chaotic for the time being and then we will see recovery in it.

I'm not sure about it being the lowest point. My friends say that bitcoin may get much lower, than it is now. And that theory has a right to be, but time will tell.

Yes I think we have reached the bottom that's why bitcoin is increasing now, it might have decreased a little but it will increase back again. But that's just my opinion though, but I am still expecting bitcoin to decrease in the next few months or so.

There is a news in the US Senate on the world that they are talking about the bright future of Bitcoin. I believe it can go up to 90K-100K in this year.

My bottom line is 5000 dollars. I will start buying it without think of it twice. I have already converted my cash into eDollars like tether and perfectmoney as livecoin support perfectmoney.
I then what ever the consequence will , i wont giva a damn. i will dump my money for at least 3 month. And i know when i am gonna woke up i will see something very special or may be something worth to be dreamed of. Expecting 4x profit in 3 month if anyone make an investment today.

It seems to me that the bottom is limited by the cost of bitcoin mining. I don't know the exact numbers, but I've heard it's about $ 2,800. Therefore, the price has not yet reached its bottom. I don't see this price correction as nothing else but another usual volatility process. Price is changing all the time and it can't be in our favour all the time.
It can always go lowe but it's impossible to predict if and when this will happen so I suggest not to bother with that too much. Personaly I think the price will keep moving somwhere between 7000$ and 9000$ for a while before it moves forward again.

Either we did or not, I will still continue on holding my investments since we still don't reach the peak. When it dumps, more investors are investing on digital currencies because this might be the rare opportunity that they can buy Bitcoin for a cheap price.

Yes, I think we have reached the bottom. BTC is already too down and moreover after the G20 summit today the price is surely going to rise as more and more countries will come up with a steady regulation towards bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. BTC and cryptos have seen some really bad days in these three months I think there are now just good days to come.

Maybe for this past few months bitcoin reached it bottom but some people says that it will still going down to $5k usd. Even though theres no absolute fact for that, it is still possible to reach $5k or below we don't know because of theres so many dumpers these past few months due to panic selling. Also on more factor is about dumping of huge amount bitcoin holder like mt.gox who sold their bitcoin worth $400 million usd. I hope that people will hold their bitcoin so that it will not go to the very bottom.
