Note:- This is just for a reference (and not for copying posts)  for new members so that they can understand and learn how to post which will in return help reduce spam.
This will also help them earn some merits and basically rank up .
Also I need more suggestions from you guys to help update this list .

That's a bit of a subjective list, and you have left out some of the really knowledgeable members who give technical advice and help.

This is why I asked for help from people like you to suggest me names .

IMO, in addition to your list chipmixer campaign participants are indeed quality posters.

there are wayy better people than him that deserve to be on that last, ever since he joined signature campaigns he started less of calling people out and being an asshole on the threads

I will give my honest opinion regarding this list that OP has created.

1. OP is trying to get merit points for making this post. Op has included a bunch of trusted DT members here and those who are reputable in the community.
2. OP is trying to get "favors" by making them look good. Some of them are campaign managers as well so possibly OP is trying to "woo/impress" them.

You are not rude, it's my opinion too. I didn't know that specific word in English so I used translator and look what kind of results I got

Well people will do just about anything to get merits, that will be good for some people on this site, they will always have a bunch of slaves to use in the way they like.
I don't agree with this list at all, this people just post more then others cause they are involved in all campaigns, all businesses, they are into everything. For me quality post comes from a good person, and on this list some people are not good.

Edit: Sorry but you asked for that. You could do a better search and find people that are not dt or signature campaign managers..
I will suggest one name, its Franky1, his post's are always great to read.

There are many people out there who look out for quality posts . And even I needed a rough idea as to what a quality post was when I had started. So I just wanted to make it easy for other members who are wanting the same !
And I never told that this list is perfect . Instead I am even asking you people to suggest me changes .
And this is not the final list ! Infact there is no final list . This will keep changing according to the suggestions I will get . So rather than criticising so much , it would be better if everyone suggests names so that I can add them to the list (after going through it myself). And you can also tell me if I have added a wrong person in the list . That is also much appreciated

If I wanted merits then I would be busy finding shitposters or people trading merits and then reporting them to DT's on topics like this --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2645450.0 But that is not I want !
And when everyone are trying their level best to stop spamming , then why should we skip any step to prevent it .

@O.P look in the Lending section you might find someone out there.

They are very logical person especially if loan is what we are talking about.
They are earning from a weekly compounding interest and not from a weekly payment in sig camp compare that to what quality post we are searching to.


especially look at condoras post, what he/she was talking about when he/she wasn't in the lending section.

This post is a good post I think but I think you are posting this in order to get merit points from the posters that you added. One more thing, maybe try to find some lower members who are posting extraordinary posts too because there are some low rank users here with high quality posts.

I am still wondering about the purpose of this thread, if its not for merit ? Everyone knows that the listed users are good posters, so there is no need to highlight the same. I think OP has discovered new way to get the merit from these users on his other post. Its not that easy to earn the merit, try something else.

then you are admitting it was a shitpost.. you didn't research it you just copied the top 10 or whatever it was. Posts like these are what Merit is trying to reduce, if however you had taken more than 3 seconds to think about the post, researched the posters, checked who contributes what and where you would of been able to build a great list from the top 30 posters.. but you didn't you were lazy and trying to merit farm

I think that achow101 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=290195) also deserves a place in the list. I think that he has the most comprehensive posts in the technical discussions.
And yeah, you should have been researching more before making this way too short list.

Those 3 names were suggested to me by someone. And what is your God damn problem if I add them now or later . If you want to contribute then stay or else leave . Noone is relying on your suggestions. Also I have clearly mentioned I need suggestion to keep the list updated. Kindly raise your fucking eyes and see

It's not all about merits ! I know it's a great idea and helpful for new people but I just decided to post the topic with the limited names I had in my mind . And ask people about names I am not aware. Because lately I was a bit inactive and also there are people who are willing to help me so those who want to help are well appreciated!

Not really. I don't see the point of there being a hall of fame for extraordinary posters, isn't the merit supposed to be for it? Extraordinary posters will get the most merit and be listed in the "top merited users" in merit stats anyways, no need for an additional list, IMO.

Not all merited users are good posters . People even send merits to posts they agree. For example :- TMAN , he receives merit for being famous and not for his quality (said by himself).

One of such activities that doesn't pay is helping newcomers and explaining things to them. They have no merit to give you for your time and knowledge. With the introduction of the merit system it started to be the definition of charity work.

I have a bunch more users that I will probably add as they come to mind, I'm pretty bad with names. These users have pretty solid post-quality themselves. Just felt like these were all users worth considering.

I normally don't agree with TMAN's harsh approach, but the man has a point. I put about 5-minutes into this list I just made, and it's twice as long as your list in OP (before suggestions from others). I suggest putting some effort into this quick or it is a shitpost.

@OP you should add more DT members, merit sources, you missed few moderators and I honestly think you should add all campaign managers, and please don't forget to add some random users which are also great posters because without them your topic will look like your head is deep in dt/mod/managers ass.

And please add in topic that "It wasn't created only for merit farming" because TMAN has got it all wrong too!

What was the OP even thinking while making that subjective list of his Hall of Fame Extraordinary Posters, if I may ask. Did he think that people here won't see beneath the hidden Merit farming that is the intent of this thread in the first place? I bet money of his mentioned posters will merit the OP because it is a shameless plug. I honestly think this thread should be locked. It is not serving any genuine purpose.

I may be a cunt about it, but that is because it is so boring seeing the blatant 0 effort merit farming that goes on here. I could get my youngest kid a forum membership, give them an hour on the politics of the merit system and get them to devise a way to get merits.. guess what, they would do better than this.

That's why I'm in agreement with your approach, at least in these types of scenarios. It is nice to see users putting more effort into their posts, but it is sad to see people doing things because they see it as a potential Merit-Go-Round. Being too gentle might not send the message clearly enough that we don't want disingenuous discussions and we will not be mislead by a newbie's desperation for merit.

I would be endlessly interested to hear you give one hour on the politics of the merit system.

My first red-flag was being included in the list. I have long posts and I actually try to have conversations with people, but my technical knowledge is pathetic and my forum information is equally poor. I don't know what made them include me, but I might have even merited this thread if there was real effort put into it, with real criteria and I wasn't on the list.

OP, if you want this list to be worth anything then you should probably lock this thread, spend a few hours researching the history of the forum and bitcoin development and start grabbing names of knowledgeable and informative users. I have been helped by dozens of intelligent people and this is partly how I came up with my few names.
