Are you a shill for the Bitcoin cash pump and dump?

Current bitcoin fees are as low as 10sat/b and are being confirmed very quickly;

https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

This is the lowest they have been in a long time, I think Bitcoin is improving drastically, probably due to the push for segwit adoption.

That is just a theoretical scam.  The fees in the picture are the actual fees people pay.  Your 10sat/b is just a theory based upon a bunch of crap the might happen in the future like people actually using Lightning when it gets here in 2027.

IPayYou is a real system on which you pay real fees like $2.02.  It is not some theoretical bullshit.

I am not a shill.  I just hate stupid fucking fees.

Yeah, the fees used to be $45 per Bitcoin transaction.  Thank God they are only $2 now.  Wait a minute - shouldn't they only be about $ .02?

I agree with you, the fees is way to high and I don't think this was the purpose of the bitcoin.
If I want to send a small amount of money the fees are actually be doubling what you send and it is not making any sense.
But I believe it will get fixed soon because if not people will never use bitcoin as payments.

IPayYou is a real system on which you pay real fees like $2.02.
I can setup a real system in which you pay real fees of $200, but that doesn't mean anyone should use it.

https://coinb.in/#fees currently shows a recommended fee of 5 Sat/Byte, to be confirmed within a few blocks. For the smallest possible Bitcoin transaction, that's 0.00000720BTC (720 Satoshis or $0.06):
http://i63.tinypic.com/2055f87.gif

You can probably go lower than that too, the last block had a transaction with 3.142 Sat/Byte (https://blockchain.info/tx/72b4db38aaf88218679ba4b1ee9673343debbc3dea3f06290c8c22fb052c492c) ($0.06 for 218 bytes transaction) confirmed in 4 minutes.

Bitcoin has it's fee problems, but not at this moment.

I will be happy as the Bitcoin transaction fees are now coming down. This is much needed requirement for it to survive it in long run. It should be used worldwide as mode of payment and we need lower fees for that.

Title: Re: Wow - fees too high!

because the bitcoin's price is so high nowadays that the transaction fee is low so you just love the fee now every time you send bitcoin to someone else

Here's (https://blockchain.info/tx/c15aba4cab62fff35519fe65be6d279146669eaffd73b737df09d90075e2e724) a transaction where someone spent 855 satoshi ($0.07) to send 2 bitcoins ($17,500) in 6 minutes.

I agree that Bitcoin fees can be ridiculous at times, and that it seriously needs fixed or it will lose its number one spot, but if you are paying $2 to send $200 then you are being scammed by iPayYou.

There are two things certain in life, death and taxes. For cryptocurrency traders, you might wanna add high transaction fees.

Maybe you guys took the screenshots at different time points. Fees in bitcoin fluctuate really much and at times it may be as low as 20 cents, at other times it may be 20 dollars. I agree that currently fees are rather low, but as you yourself admit - the problem is there.

Looking forward towards seeing the impact of LN on fee problem. My prediction would be that LN can lower the onchain transaction fees too, by taking some of the demand off-chain.

Fees are actually decent right now, you can set from 0.4$ up to 3$ and still have a nice transaction time without paying a shitload of money.
[/quote]

Yes but the damage has already been done and it will be remembered that the development team sat on it's hands and
allowed fees to hit $55 and came up with excuse after excuse for doing nothing and now its excuse after excuse as to why
bitcoin is headed down and they can blame China, Japan and anyone else but it comes down to a system that is slow and
won't scale and fees.

Lightning is going to be the killer blow because its obvious to those that look that it's just a system of banking hubs
that will rip people off even more once they get going

I'm surprised because the bitcoin mempool has been clearing (we've been getting very fast blocks in the last few days). You shouldn't need to pay more than a dollar at the moment, and often less. I reckon that site is over-charging.

I'm not using BTC for many reasons, but since it's a necessity in order to trade other coins, I need to use it.
However I only did the mistake of sending BTC between exchanges once, never again! BCH and ZEC are good alternatives to use when you want to send coins between different exchanges.
The fees you pay for the extra trading back and forth are much lower than what you'd pay to send BTC.

Bitcoin fee is high because of many adoption and high transaction, beside that this fee is depends on the market too, higher price means we need to pay even higher as well. But I do not think it is really big problem here, the only matter here as long as you can get your coin to your wallet then it is fine. People complaining high fee because they tend to send only a little bit of money and what is that for? Past and future is really matter now, may be in the past you can get small fee because there is only little transaction but now you can see how big this bitcoin world are

Bitcoin is not really necesary to trade other coins thesedays because there were many online exchanges lately that enables direct trading for a specific coin ( i.e tokens and altcoins ) etherium is the only one that i think necesary needed in order for you to trade your tokens and altcoins because etherium acts as a gas or transaction fees in order to trade them.

@op i guess you  may now avoid bitcoin if your going to use it for any payment method because the fees were indeed pretty high despite of its price drop. You should rather switch out on bitcoincash or any other alts like litecoin and dash for a much lesser fees.

I think the trnasaction fees in all cryptocurrencies are the number one problem of every traders. They get less profit because of the transaction fees. High transaction fees is one of the disadvantage in all cryptocurrencies.

I will lose the entire salary of course so I have to swallow the huge fees they have set which is unfair for those who doesnt have so much to hold we are being prohibited to have our own profit in bigger state.

Are you another person who wants to misinform others? Bitcoin fees are low, couple of cents is enough to pay for the whole transactions. Also, confirmation time is quite good. What are Bitcoin Cash advantages now? It won't have any reason to exist after Lightning Network becomes used by more people. Right now, hardly any wallet supports it so no wonder why it isn't popular among ordinary Bitcoin users. I paid something like 0.00005 BTC for my last transactions, I'm satisfied.

I think that as the BTC's price is high and the transaction fee is low, so each time it feels good when the transaction occurs as we send btc to other ones. but this is also exposed to changes. as the btc world is making it expands, the btc's prices are getting higher day by day...so there is nothing to worry about.

you cannot compare two different network fees with each other , each coin have different speciality Bitcoin is king and Bitcoin cash is branch of Bitcoin itself. Current rate of transfer bitcoins from one wallet to another wallet is less than 11 sat per byte. As per calculation Fees is only 1% per 100$ which is very less seems

Too many people always talk about it. If you want to charge a bitcoin to improve your system, Bitcoin has to make the transfer speed faster. At that time I think the charge will be a bit lower.

Too much? On https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ its 120 sats/byte so it is not that really much unlike before that its more than 500 sats/byte and you have to pay for more than 0.001+BTC per TX.

Yeah its very low when someone transact with higher amount.

i agree different coins have different uses and user base and as far as I know what also forces these fees to raise is increased demand for the mining services which results in miners priotising transactions with high fees and leaving a backlog of low TX fees but currently bitcoin fees are not as high as thet were a few months back.

OP is all about spreading FUD against Bitcoin.  Don't be fooled.  There is much to be excited about with Bitcoin.  The Lighting Network has been implemented and already starting to do an amazing job. Soon the network will be up and running the L.N. as well as everyone's wallets will be adding the technology.

Fees heading towards all time lows- https://blockchain.info/charts/transaction-fees

Hash Rate- https://blockchain.info/charts/hash-rate

Do your homework users and don't believe the FUD.  Also- if anyone is complaining about "super high fees" ..you've clearly not made a transaction of late.  That's like reading a headline of an article, but not the article itself , and debating it until you're blue in the face.
