Title: Do you think bitcoin has hit its peak?
Post by: camport on February 14, 2018, 05:02:38 PM
Hey all, I was just wondering your opinions on whether bitcoin has hit its peak already at around $20,000 or if you think it will break even higher in the future? I know there’s been bitcoin retraces of up to 80% before before it has risen a load again but I’m not sure that bitcoin hasn’t got the functionality that the price suggests.

Of course it will exceed 20k$ in the future. Bitcoin has no limit if you ask me. It is like any economic crisis, first it happens to be glorious, and then it falls down then rises again. Same as bitcoin. Hopefully, it will go back to its feet in a matter of time. Do not lose faith in bitcoin!

My personal opinion on that:
Since Bitcoin and ETH are the main option for buying other coins or tokens there is still a high demand for it. Also Bitcoin was proven as the most secure and well working coin over many years. And finally Bitcoin was the first in the market and it is the only coin 99% of the people know, when they first enter crypto market, so Bitcoin has by far the best marketing.

You are right that the value for Bitcoin is high, but my guess is there will be another wave this or the next years, were so much new money will enter the market that Bitcoin will rise for sure above 20k.
However that does not mean that it will stay stable at such high price.

You’re very confident! To be fair I think that we are still in the early adoption stage of crypto and so there is plenty of growth left once the general public get involved. What do you think about ethereum?

That’s another thing for BTC and ETH, they are basically the backbone of the crypto market

Well, when bitcoin had hit it's price at $5,000 in the middle of 2017 last year, every one thought that it was bitcoin's peak. However, it reached it's ATH at $20,000 just before the year ends. So, who knows, how will bitcoin play this year. I really think that all the negative news about bitcoin on the first quarter of the year was intended for big whales to buy in at cheap price.

Bitcoin hit its landmark price last year which made it "well known" amongst investors and all. While we always hope and wish that BTC rises to unimaginable heights, it should be noted that stability is equally or even more necessary to sustain bitcoin and also can help present bitcoin as legit amongst countries that hate bitcoin.

Had hit its peak for 2017 but for 2018 no net yet. Before 2018 ends it will rise again to its highest point. speculations that it will hot 600k usd. No one knows but that is my opinion. so for now if you have bitcoin just hodl it. wait for its peak to sell.

It has for the time being but after every retrace there is and always has been an ATH. Not saying that is the reason for the one incoming but the fundamentals are solid and that leads me to believe we will reach another ATH this year (don't know when exactly though).

The likelihood that bitcoin has hit its peak is quite slim, it is still in the early stages of adoption and there is still a lot of outside interest and publicity. With many governments now looking at how to regulate and use cryptocurrencies, it would seem that we are still a long way from the 'end-game'. As the price begins to recover and breaks through price barriers it will only bring back interest. Imagine the news stories of 'bitcoin recovers to back above 10k' and how many people will think 'well the experts told me it was going to die when it dipped to 6k, shows what they know'

I think this is just the beginning of the bitcoin peak with its rise last year, it does not mean bitcoin will remain at current prices, that you can read up on predictions on all the news that there will be a bitcoin price increase touching up to 5 billion for 1 BTC, of course everyone hope it happens in the coming 2020 ...

A new ATH on the longer term is likely but this current bear-market isn't going away for a while. The last peak was at least 95% speculation; completely average people without any knowledge about crypto stormed the market because they saw other people making massive profits very quickly. The inevitable crash after the peak now has spooked the 'noobs' away with panic-sells and all. I'd be surprised if we see the next ATH in 2018 but who knows!

Not at all, Bitcoin still has plenty of time and space to grow. Just because the price is low now that doesn't mean that it will stay low forever.
Every time when the price is low so many people start to doubt their choice to invest in bitcoin but you should have more open view on situation and look ahead in the future.

some of the expert says that bitcoin will hit at about 60,000usd per coin this year.. thats why they proclaim this year as the year of cryptocurrency.. 20,000usd per coin is just a taste on how bitcoin will dominate in the near future.. so buy now while its low, actually its not low.. on its cheaper price than the last year on december..

It's really hard to know.
But the main thing we need to consider is the media buzz about bitcoin when it reached the peak.
The whole media around the world was talking about bitcoin, and there was a very strong uptrend momentum.
I just can't see how we can reach it again unless something really crazy happens, because hype like that never happened before.
I think that bitcoin is here to stay and even if the price won't reach 20K$ at the near future, I still believe that bitcoin will still have a usage and it opened a new door to a crazy technology called the blockchain.

Not really, it is to travel a long. Bitcoin has reached several ath in the past. Once again now after strong resistance gain it has started to move forward to reach a new ath. Possibly the price increase with bitcoin is a promised fact and people should have a better learning to know good about it and not end up with panic.

If we are going to make a ratio and proportion of the price of bitcoin, then it may exceed to its highest peak in the month of December which is about $20,000. If the current price was about $9,000 and it is the price in the last year February which is $1,000. It increase by $19,000 after 10 months and if we are going to make the ratio of todays price, in the future, we can have the price of bitcoin for about $180,000. It is through ratio and proportion and unbelievable to reach but if we add $19,000 to $9,000, we have $27,000 which exceeds the highest peak as of today.

Both bitcoin and the rest of the crypto currency are only evolving and gaining popularity and value. December's price increase to $ 20,000 was rather spontaneous, this is clearly not the peak cost of bitcoin. He is capable of much more. Now there are simply many factors together that negatively affect its price. Here, there is the fault of the team of its developers who have not eliminated its shortcomings for a long time, and deliberately the actions of others to reduce its value.
But this year bitcoin should show its good potential in growth, although I think that such a sharp increase in its rate is unlikely. It will grow more smoothly than in December, although it is much able to exceed its previous record.

Earlier this year there are many who feel disappointed with the decline in bitcoin prices are very drastic. However, the decline is great for a digital asset to fix the price in the future. Recovery is imminent in the future as more and more people believe in investing in bitcoins.

As long as the demand is there bitcoin can reach any price, now it is true that bitcoin still has not accomplished the goal of being a currency with cheap transactions and fast confirmations that is true, but it is an incredible investment and performs a decent job as a store of value so it is very clear to me that 20k is not the peak and we are going to reach new heights but it is not going to be that soon.

The fact is bitcoin is still in early stage of adoption. Just be honest, I am sure that even you agree that it is kind of use full technology isn't it? Then more people will want to buy bitcoin then the price increase. I don't expect much, but atleast it will be used by 30% of people in around the world. May be no more than it, but it is quite large amount.

Before the end of 2017 month of December we see its peak 18K and after that we see also its drops quickly, many bitcoins holder discourage what they see that time. In my view, the Bitcoin exchange rate will rise sharply in 2018, not only at the $ 20,000 level as it peaked in 2017. It is clear that at the beginning of 2017, the Bitcoin exchange rate was only $ 1000, and everyone said it would be the peak of the Bitcoin exchange rate, but by the end of 2017 the exchange rate had risen to nearly $ 20000, lol :)). As a result, the increase in Bitcoin exchange rate to $ 50000 is likely to occur in 2018.

I don't think it already reached its peak since not all BTC had been mined yet. Also, BTC and crypto is still making their name in public so I think it still has a room for growth once everyone knows and uses it. I've just started investing in BTC and altcoins last year so I am hoping it'll reach more than $20k very soon. That would be awesome!

no, bitcoin has not reached its peak, some people predict that the bitcoin price peak is 1 BTC = lamborghini preformante.

the price of $ 20000 yesterday is just the beginning and the experiment. bitcoin is too high quickly and causes bitcoin to come back down again quickly.

My opinion is that bitcoin has not reached its peak as long as there are still people/money yet to enter the market.  Unlike any other asset I can think of, it is strictly limited in supply.  So if more people will buy it in the future, it will become more scarce, and therefore the price must go up.

The danger here is that other coins will take over if bitcoin does not evolve.  Anything can happen and its exciting (and scary) times!

Not yet. Bitcoin is still new and we are still in the transition stage. The price right now is still on correction process,  I think that the price will still go high if it will be accepted as a mode of payment in the market. There are only few business that accept it.  Just think if it will be widely accepted? Many people will use it and because of the demand, the price will go up.

Bitcoin price has hit $20k but now arount $9k. This is due to unexpected fall of price recently. But I think this is not real situation, it may hit $20 very soon.

We can't predict where it will the end of its peak. Bitcoin is still breaking the walls to exceed more than 20k, we still have no idea when it will happen but one thing for sure, we will happy if that happens.

For now i think bitcoin hits its highest pick, but because of its popularity and volatility in the next few years it will surpass its highest pick. For now lets just enjoy its price even though it is low, lets buy more and get profit when it is high.
Lets just be patient and workhard everyday. Our profit is on its way.

I agree that 20000$ is not the peak, bitcoin will pass that price before the end of this year. I believe that because lighting network will bring back bitcoin in first plan, people abandoned bitcoin due high fees but they will return. I think this summer will be great for bitcoin. Many news about countries that plan to regulate bitcoin, in one way or another. New investors will come, I believe that this year some big corporations will finally accept bitcoin.
I'm a believer, people talk about bitcoin more and more. Its everywhere, in news, on TV, people asking me about bitcoin more then ever. Look demand for mining cards, and rigs, crypto market will go up, its the question of time.

Yes it is possible and break the highest peak in year 2017. This is what happened last year and I’ve learned not to panic sell again. I know this will be raised again after the silence of many issues in crypto news. I believe that bitcoin has great future.

In my opinion bitcoin can break it's previous high as we  can see historical data of btc whenever btc retraces btc bounce back more aggressively but we can not say with full surity that it will follow the same way as it did in the past we can only expect. I hope this year btc will again shut the mouth of fake news spreader and negative thought peoples.

Bitcoin has not reach it peak at $20000 because if you understand how volatile the market can be it has the potential to break even and at that all it require is high demand once the demands are high the price can reach up to any amount. And with the recent rise above $9000 I believe in a short period from now we will see positive movement up to $20000 and above.

BITCOIN did reach an all time high of 20k USD but I don't think it is the end quite yet. Maybe now there will start another bull run and we might see eventually a new floor of 20 USD for Bitcoin but it will take a hell of a lot of whales to move the market up to that point. I personally would love to see a new all time high of say 30k USD and then see it pull back to 20k and that I won't mind as long as other altcoins join in and grow at least on par with BITCOIN and not drop and drop because BTC becomes bullish again as that really annoys me lol.  ;D

No. Bitcoin price is lowered now but that doesn't mean that it will be like this for the future. In future, I strongly believe that the price will be high. To me it's just a matter of time. If you see the price of last year then it was sometimes up and sometimes down. But starting with 7000$ and ended up with 16000$ around, tells you the future of Bitcoin. So day by day the price will be high.
If you sell now then you may not get the proper Price. But if you hold it and when the price will be high then you will get the proper Price. Jusy be patient. To me, the value will touch 30000$ at least.

Yes. I think that bitcoin will exceed even 30k$. Since you can't even imagine that bitcoin price on the year 2010 is almost nothing. But now, it goes at its highest last 2017, which is almost 20k$. We'll just have to wait a few months or years for it to exceed its highest so far.

I don't think it will ever have its peak if the demand will continue because it will just increase its market price. It is just like predicting what will be the highest price of bitcoin in the future where no one can really tell how much it is due its price volatility.

The bitcoin should exceed 20,000 dollars in the future. The Ethereum replaces Bitcoin to some extent, but this is temporary.

I agree with you. This is obviously not the peak of bitcoin value. No one can accurately say what its peak is. According to me, I feel that $500000 will be its peak value after several years primarily due to the supply and demand logic and mainstream adoption of bitcoin by many countries around the world. I am particularly excited about the upcoming Lightning Network feature which will drive bitcoin and the crypto market to a whole new plateau which I am confident about. Lower fees and instant transaction speeds are something that many have been waiting for a long time which is why I am so excited for this feature.

I don’t think so.
Consider the following:
Bitcoins market cap is still low when compared to traditional exchanges. This, to me, signifies a lot of growth potential.
Bitcoin can’t be shut down due to being decentralized. If any country outlaws it, there’ll always be another country to embrace it. US cracks down on market? China embraces it. You get the idea.
Bitcoin is an awesome way to store wealth. It’s secure (if you are smart), relatively easy to use. Even if it won’t become a commonly used currency, it’ll always be there as digital gold.
As common as it is, only an estimated 10–20 million people today use crypto. There’s several billion in the world. You can imagine how much

To be honest, I really think that bitcoin has still a lot to go through before it would hit its peak it has still strong grasp of the populace and still a lot is getting interested and curious on it. Especially on some large and major corporations that would want to venture out to this, it looks exactly that this would be the time for bitcoin to accellerate its growth and be a driving force in the economy

Well, I don't think bitcoin has already reached its peak. Whenever it has dropped, it always has recovered it's value and gone even higher, so I think there is a big chance that it would happen again. Even if it falls a little bit again after growing it would definitely go up again. The only thing is that it needs some time. It might even take alot of time fkr it to reach 20k USD again.

In fact, there are only 21 million Bitcoins that can be mined in total and surely its a bubble but why why get our profits before it reaches it peak.

That is a very hard question. We can say that the all time high is $20k for now. We can't say that it is already it's peak because the game is not yet over. Many things will happen in the future and this could include the rising of bitcoin value.

I always remember older Bitcoiners who told me that the dream was to reach the $1k++ peak that they waited for years to reach back. So when in January 2017, people saw Bitcoin just break $1000, that was a huge reason to celebrate, and so many others who already abandoned the idea said it would not last. We all know what happened after that.

Of course, I still believe Bitcoin price can go anywhere. It can go back down to 1k and it could definitely go for 20k again this year, or we may wait another two or three years.

We reached an all time high but it is very unlikely that is the peak after all if you look at the mount of people in bitcoin we are still a minority, the only people I know that hold bitcoin are on the internet, I have yet to meet a single person in my life that hold any amount of bitcoin, that tells me that if bitcoin ever becomes mainstream its value will be many times over the current price.

I do not think that it just happened to fluctuate in price and everything, you just need to wait for it to recover

I still see the whole crypto currency business in a growing phase.
Bitcoin as the most famous representative of its kind will participate in this growth.
There are many things to come, like the ETFs that are prepared in the US at the moment.
I suspect with them we will see another boost at least to the major crypto currencies. I do not see the ETFs participate at ICOs becaus they will be considered to be too risky.
Don't forget there will be halvings as well.
All together I think that bitcoin did not even come close to its peak value.

Well, if you think $20k is already the peak for bitcoin then I can say you’re wrong. It takes time to recover after a big fall, don’t rush it learn to live with process. I believe we can still see higher value of bitcoin in the coming months or even years, patience is real.

However that does not mean that it will stay stable at such high price.

yes can not (not). Because no one knows the future for sure. But just a few days this bitcoin feels down and if it has reached its peak what to say

I'm thinking bitcoin will give a huge hit this year as obviosuly it's not hitted its peak yet.  It will rise more than we expected because of adoption to use bitcoin and demands increasing. As the usuall talked about no one is certain about the price could take over this year.

IMO, bitcoin hasn't reached its peak yet. Yes we know that it reached $20,000 last year but that would be its prime last year and we can expect it to rise even more of that in the future. The current condition of bitcoin in the market now is due to a lot of panic selling because of the FUDs spreading about bitcoin. All the news that made a lot of people selling their share of bitcoin.

Bad or good news can't influence the price of bitcoin. Only actions to sell or buy coins affect the price. Now there is a period when everyone has to decide on their choice. If you support the idea of bitcoin then you should keep the coins. This should provoke a rise in prices. If you do not support the idea then you have to sell coins and fix your loss. The choice is up to each person.

it all depends not only on the person, but also on the current situation at the moment. I'm sure that at low prices no one wants to sell Bitcoin, but nevertheless it has to be done if something happens in life and needs money. In all other cases, it is strongly recommended to keep Calm and not sell.

Let's not be too full of assumptions. Yes, it may and it may not. We may get to hit the previous all time and surpass it, but only time will tell. All the above, we cannot say yet as we have had a long time of consolidation in the past before and this year may not actually be any different. There is a lot of speculation going around as anyone can just assume anything, but we also have to be reasonable with it, and I do not think $50k is ever going to be a possibility this year.

A pretty much early stage and we have not even got anywhere at all. With the developments going on, and with the way things are changing pretty fast, once we start hitting the mainstream level of adoption, then we will start seeing some huge level of growth. No one however can know the exact peak of bitcoin but we definitely know as well that this is not the peak, and we still have a long room for growth.

I believe bitcoin will hit back again $19,000 and possible it will surpass that price, but time can tell when it will happen to hit that peak.
Time is probably  having answers for the mysteries. But, basic curiosity of human will never settle down and that is the reason we want to know what would happen again in this year and almost all the people here want to secure their future by knowing them well in advance.

Agreed. There is no proof of any price increase OR decrease. Charts can tell us information that we choose to extract, but one thing for sure is Bitcoin has always defied the odds and proven people wrong time and again. It will for sure reach the old ATH. When and how much by we cannot say, we can only wait. Or it will for sure fail, that is also probable. When and how, we will not be alive to see.

Agree. Bitcoin is going to exceed the 20k expectation but of course it won't ever happen in just a span of 1 day. Just like how long we are waiting to hold our coins, it also takes time for bitcoin to reach an expected value in just short time. Everything happens in a process and of course there are factors that has to be considered to attain that amount. Bitcoin has to undergo changes in price, low and high.

Of course Bitcoin hasn't hit its peak. Last year's surge was the tip of the iceberg. Bitcoin dipped its toe into the mainstream market in 2017, nothing more. The mania from November and December was because people thought it was gonna start entering the mainstream for real. The THOUGHT it was going to, and went to $20k. So what do you think is going to happen when it ACTUALLY gains mainstream adoption/investment? $20k is a stepping stone. 6 figures is where it is most likely heading.

When the market matures I expect the Bitcoin marketcap to be several trillion dollars and the whole crypto marketcap to be north of 10 trillion (its currently at 300 billion). So a 30x appreciation from here for bitcoin and cryptos as a whole I think is doable. Before getting there though there will probably be another two boom-bust cycles to go through the next 3 or so years before Bitcoin is comfortably over $100k.

Probably something like
2019: ^ $50-80k, v $20-30k
2020: ^ $120 - $200k
2021: v $70-90k
2022: matures and less volatility as it settles and slowly grows from ~$150k

The likelihood that bitcoin has hit its peak is quite slim, it is still in the early stages of adoption and there is still a lot of outside interest and publicity. With many governments now looking at how to regulate and use cryptocurrencies, it would seem that we are still a long way from the 'end-game'. As the price begins to recover and breaks through price barriers it will only bring back interest. Imagine the news stories of 'bitcoin recovers to back above 10k' and how many people will think 'well the experts told me it was going to die when it dipped to 6k, shows what they know'

That is even an answer no one can give but if we are trying to consider present development to the possibility of future developments and growths, then I would say we are not even anywhere close to the peak. Bitcoin has been able to show a lot of strength over the years and it is still showing presently even with the downtrend and for a market that has come to stay , there is absolutely just so much going for it right now that we should be expecting the best in the future which includes more ATHs to come.

This is very possible of course. Even with all the adversities that bitcoin encounters a long the way of many banks and government are afraid or threatened by its decentralized nature, in the other hand they are also looking into various ways how to create a working and safety network to also benefit from this innovation. Actually they too are realizing the benefits and the relevance of this technology in application to our modern world.

I think the bitcoin peak is not $ 20,000 but bitcoin can exceed $ 20,000. Nothing can be sure of the peak of bitcoin value, bitcoin can reach 20k or even 50k and can also reach 100k in the future, because bitcoin keeps growing and increasing in value.

Yeah, for one fact that even when a lot of people saw $10 as too much of a value back in those days, tells us something that we may not actually have hit it yet and based on the fact that we are even still in the early days of adoption shows we are not even close to the peak at all.

I am very optimistic and bullish in the long term on bitcoin and that is how it is going to stay until we finally hit the mainstream and adoption for usage as currency. For next several decades of years, no one can be sure about the peak price levels of bitcoins as bitcoin's demand may keep increasing along with its popularity hence price must keep increasing in coming years. Peaks may be found near to billion dollars too.

Yeah, being quite optimistic I believe bitcoin can do a lot more than our expectations. The past few months were quite discouraging for it as it had gone through a lot of limitations but even though it survived all. I think there still a long route to cover and yet it's peak to be accomplished surpassing all the preceding values...

Bitcoin will still exceed it's 2017 high. I do not have any data to support this belief, but bitcoin has continued to defy the odds. I strongly believe that it may even get to $50k one of these days. $0 to $21k was not on anyone's radar yet it happened. $21k to $50k can readily be achieved.
Bitcoin has surpassed everything we could have imagined and every single prediction that we could have made, at the very same time it is difficult to think that bitcoin is going to reach such a high price in such a short amount of time especially when people are afraid to invest in cryptocurrencies after the crash.

Thats true, I think everything need process, Bitcoin is not yet at its highest price, remember there are still many people in the world who have not adopted bitcoin yet, so the possibility of price to go up many times there certainly is, only all that takes a long time mate because you know the development and spread bitcoin requires much time

When you think about Bitcoin's peak price you need to remember than the Bitcoin ecosystem in 2017 was still very very early, very immature, very undeveloped. Also the technicals of bitcoin in 2017 were still very early (segwit just added and only reached 10% adoption, no LN, no other various improvements that will be made in the years to come).

And despite the very early state of the ecosystem and the technical development bitcoin hit $20k.

Both of those situations are already improving. Segwit adoption is increasing, LN is on the mainnet in beta, other upgrades are being worked on. And Coinbase is starting to get competitors in Robinhood and Square, Bitcoin is slowing being allowed to pay for things at more companies. All this in just the past few months.

This should make it clear that $20k is just the beginning. In 5 to 10 years we'll probably be laughing about how cheap bitcoin was when it was under $100k.

in fact, the previous maximum value was about 20,000 dollars for one Bitcoin coin. Do you think that this year the maximum value of Bitcoin will be above 20,000 dollars? Very much I hope so, But today we are at the bottom of the crypto currency market and growth is possible only slow.

Yes not yet. Seeing last three months growth i would be happy with if bitcoin reaches and stays on $10000 if not it goes on peak. Too many news on banning bitcoin has really make many investors away nearing to bitcoin. Thanks to yesterday's pump of $1000 in an hour. The good thing is the value stays  balanced from $7900 to $8100. This is more than enough for this week. We just expect the value travel at this level. It would be good to have $1000 hike two weeks once like this.

I believe that bitcoin has so many great potentials: It could become the mainstream currency if given the approval world wide. It is very timely, to day in our modern world need a technology such as this that is fast, safe and would not cost us a big amount on the fees. In the regular bank transactions it has so many hassles and it takes longer plus the fee are over charged. Bitcoin is people power. Nobody can control it. This one here is the most common reason why the government could not accept bitcoin easily because they could not trace the transactions and they lost the mandate over such. So in short if bitcoin will be approved by the government then at that people will not hesitate to invest and by then it can really reach its peak value in the market.

And who can tell what the peak is? In one moment Bitcoin has achieved 20000$ but that doesn't mean this is the top price. Don't forget that Bitcoin is still rather young, cryptocurrencies are yet to take its best position so there is a lot of space for development. Price is defined by the market and the market will set the highest price in one moment but how much this is going to be and when this is going to be no one can't tell.

As long as Bitcoin hasn't yet even attempted to become a means of payment, it will always rise anew after each crash.

By that I mean people who invest in bitcoin believe it is the future of payments, and we don't know if it will be or not, because it hasn't even begun to try to be that yet. It can't fail until it tries, and so until the it takes a real shot at succeeding it will continue possibly being the future of digital payments and personal banking, which means it will continue to bring in more and more people as the word continues to spread that Bitcoin might be the future.

The only time to be worried that bitcoin won't keep going up is if it becomes a means of payment i.e. the Lightning Network is fully ready and gains a good network and people start using Bitcoin every day through the LN, but then it falls out of favor or its too inconvenient of online wallets are too common or whatever, at that point you should worry Bitcoin has hit its peak. And that's point, of Bitcoin succeeded or failing, is probably a few years away. I'd say for at least the next 3 years as LN grows and other improvements come and more merchants slowly adopt Bitcoin payments (Amazon) and institutional investors start jumping into the game there is no worry about the price, it will continue to climb quickly as the groundwork is laid to see if Bitcoin can/will actually change the world.

I think bitcoin has not yet reached its peak because bitcoin has just started its market price to rise drastically last year. The 20,000$ is just the start of its flight to its highest market price. If experts speculations are true, then bitcoin will hit its peak price at 100.000 dollars.

In fact, it would not be strange that at the end of this year we will see new historical records above $30,000, and in a couple of years the price of each bitcoin will be well above the $100K mark.

To be fair, $30k isn't really that unrealistic for this year. It would just need to triple in almost 8 months. During a bull run thats not hard at all. Though I don't think a bull run will start until around the end of this year and I think it'll just be gradual growth the rest of this year so I see $20k - $25k as being more likely than $30k.

$20k is too small for bitcoin. We're not hitting a trillion marketcap until today so it still have a long way to go. The bigger the marketcap, the higher the bitcoin can reach. $20k is just really the start.

This price decrease sometime is not a permanent decrease as we have noticed several times before its price increase and decrease. The value of Bitcoin will soon be more valuable and this is possible if people show a good response to the Bitcoin.

Well if you doubt everything about bitcoin, alright here's the thing: I believe bitcoin has not yet reached its highest peak and I know it will never. There's still a chance that a huge wave of increase is coming to all crypto coins. Hopefully, it would happen before this year ends.

Yes we had our peak due to the mass media attention in the end of 2017.

This is a one time thing and people won't invest into cryto like mad a second time.

Wait and hold as of now, the big thing is coming for Bitcoin and the price as per experts predicted is not as you say $20k and it is $60k within this year end. The curent price is very low it seems but I have confident that the price will catch up from next week or from June 1st week. Lets hope for the best.

20k was severely overpriced and although it was the current peak, I don't think we have hit the final peak at all. I feel like we will make a run to 6 figures quite easily and that will be another time when we question the top.
Nobody can say anything about future of bitcoin. But we can hope because our positive thinking can make bitcoin success. More and more people will invest in bitcoin if we encourage them. Thus the market cap will rise and so will the price. Peak is not decided yet, because very little people from all over the world are aware of bitcoin and it will take more time for them to know about bitcoin.

Yeah and this could be one of the reasons for certain people who are reluctant to reinvest that undermines the intention to reinvest because of the consideration of that price that had time on its peak and now.. it more visible that the price can't be moving up higher anymore, even close on that.. already unable. It's naturally if the price does look like the difficulty to climb very high back in this year, and not to mention the certain news that can affect many peoples.

I think nobody knows the highest bitcoin peak. I'm still sure bitcoin will go up higher and exceed 20k, bitcoin can still grow taller and more popular in the future.

Not yet because bitcoin is still not used by all the people in the world so only peak value can be achieved when everyone starts to use bitcoin. And no one knows what will be the peak value of bitcoin some experts says that $1M will be the peak value.
No one can determine the peak of bitcoin so easily, to me i think that bitcoin is still trading in a  very very low price, and still it has to cover a long long distance, it is even expected that bitcoin bitcoin price will reach to 100000$, and i think that it is not such a difficult job for bitcoin. I am sure that in next few years we will see the bitcoin price trading above 10000$.
Bitcoin has reached at the peaks on the basis of popularity while the value will soon reach at the highest possible place as more people are attracting towards the market with the hope of getting profit from this stable market. They do not know how to manage this system but they know this is the system which will make them rich. They will soon get the knowledge and will invest here as a result of which the value of Bitcoin will reach at the highest possible place.

The last peaked is around $20K but I don't think that its the last time that we are going to see bitcoin hitting that price. Many predictions pointed out that it can even hit higher than that so I would say that no, we even barely scratch the potential price of bitcoin in the next coming years. Maybe one day it can go as high as $50K-$100K specially that bitcoin halving will be huge in the next coming years.

The last peak of $20k won't be broken soon, concerning highest peak, I hope we already there and it is around 6500-700

I think it didn’t hit its peak yet, we have so far the highest price of very nearly $20k only and i believe it will still go beyond that price. Bitcoin has the potential of soaring high in the near future so therefore i can say it hasn’t hit its peak yet because maybe before this year ends, it will go beyond the price of $20,000.
How can someone say about the peak? In my opinion it is just the start of bitcoin and now people are getting aware of bitcoin and as many people aware of bitcoin they will invest in it and the price will grow more and more. So I think that it will be false if we talk about the peak of bitcoin. We will have to wait for long time to see the peak of bitcoin.

The highest peak price of the bitcoin is not yet hit and I think it will reach more all-time high before hitting the peak. But it will take more years before bitcoin reach its peak. The $20k last year can be surpass if bitcoin begin it s bullrun again but it is hard to predict when will that happen again. Bitcoin is capable to go beyond that $20k level but it will depend on factors that may come along the way.

Yeah, I'm persuaded BTC had a peak last year around $20k, and it won't break till people see real changes in their lifes, I mean changes for the better, connected directly with BTC using

It's a long wait for that happening again due to market conditions and factors holding its massive increase. It is obvious that market are struggling bear market, and could hardly to recover fast but I never feel bad and lost my confidence into these as it will move very soon.

We need such people in the community of bitcoin who never get disappointed from bitcoin even when it is having the toughest phase or time in the market. These sincere supporters don’t pay any heed to those rumors that cause new investors to be vulnerable to panic selling. Bitcoin is going to be on the track back soon. We better wait and watch than assuming bad happenings and getting frustrated by over thinking.

Yes of course, many investors and users had already seen that two months ago, but i think it was just a partial peak price. And we are still hoping for the next bull market to come soon. We'll just wait and see.

In my own opinion, bitcoins and any other cryptocurrency in the market does not have a peak, as long as crytpocurrency is being very popular today or most of the people today in the community is still investing then bitcoins value will just grow even more in the future.

We don't have accurate forecast on bitcoin's price in the future but with the way bitcoin is evolving from a dollar to $20k is amazing and it could happen again and might even create all time high in the future.

This question i s answered through charts. Almost all investors of bitcoin in this current time didn't think about bitcoin to have reached $20000 on months this is a history breaker I meant world record of the priciest crypto currency that has been made.No one knows what's the highest peak of bitcoin but well surely know it in the future so keep hanging until the doors open for success.

Prices in the market does not have any peak, the value of bitcoins and other cryptocurrency is based on supply and demand so it can grow depending on the investors.

While it is possible to say unequivocally that bitcoin has not yet reached its peak price. I'm not so sure that bitcoin is capable of rising to large price points, but it will still grow in price and exceed its previous price record of $ 20,000. What will happen next with bitcoin, while it is difficult to say, in many respects everything will depend on the bitcoin itself, how much it will improve and eliminate its shortcomings.

Although $20k is really big amount I don't think it's the highest peak. If you will think the adaptation of crypto in the near future, $20k is kinda low to be it's peak. I guess we're going to beat it not more than 5years from now. For me that span and future number of bitcoiner is enough for us.

I think nobody knows the highest value of bitcoin, bitcoin can have a value of 20k, 30k, 50k, 100k and even can exceed it. The value of bitcoin depends on the market and bitcoin has not reached its peak value.

Bitcoin capability is there is no question to reach 20k this year because any time you  can expect  a bull run actually we are just  waiting for  a big bang  that  would positively happen any time this year, because historically every year will reach  a new level.
