Title: How do you see bitcoins yourself? Post by: Vatimins on February 16, 2018, 05:51:25 PM Now obviously, the tittle says it all. I am just curious on how you guys see bitcoins or the whole thought of cryptos as a whole? Because clearly, all of us have different minds which is why most of the time we have different point of views about different things. Although some may have same opinions or believes on the same thing but it still does not cover everyone. Because some sees bitcoins and other cryptos as a key to ending poverty(which is something I disagree with but totally respect), while some sees it as an asset, others see it as currency, and so much more. I would really love to know how you guys see bitcoins because I think this can be a key to having a glance on what the future of the crypto world will be someday(although this is not for sure, I think it is worth a shot). So please my fellow crypto lovers, share your thoughts :)

Because of my logic when looking at bitcoin and how to get bitcoin almost similar to gold, that is by mining process first. I just think if bitcoin is called global currency, it's not his nature. Because the requirement to become a global currency must be recognized by everyone. The volatile bitcoin price will make a person think long to use it as a transaction tool. So that, someone will prefer to hodl bitcoin until the price goes up and then sell it.

I can do this in less than 1 minute in pulling some good profits on trades. Even after work at night I can do bounties and airdrops. It's very convenient to earn Xtra money. Bitcoin is something that everybody can do if they will just take sometime to understand how it works and how will you going to earn without using money ( bounties and airdrops).Some people say Bitcoin might get obsolete because of POW it's using more electricity than a regular household usage, miners can relocate in some countries where in electricity is almost free because simply they have more than enough supply than what their country needed. Maybe few years from now it has a possibility of replacing/at least being in the row of gold as store of value.

Post by: MissionPhailed on February 16, 2018, 07:12:16 PM As much as I like the concept of digital money, I have to agree with the people above me and currently regard BTC predominantely as a way to speculate and make profit. Yes, that's a crappy stance in the world of cryptocurrencies and it really doesn't help to make the cryptomarket more stable and thus more attractive to investors. I'm guilty as heck. But the utility of cryptocurrencies is still next to zero and I've gotta pay my bills / products / vacations in fiat money so I act accordingly. I must add that crypto has taught me a LOT about the dynamics of financial markets and can now sort of recognize some 'red flags' on the market.
However, I do hope we'll eventually see a transition from the current old financial infrastructure to a crypto-dominated one. Title: Re: How do you see bitcoins yourself? Now it's more like a profitable investment, a profitable asset. But sometimes, when necessary, it's a normal currency used to make purchases online. And without doubts, it's a tool to give more power to individuals and decrease the state's power over people's lives.

However, it's profitability is just a bonus, the main purpose of bitcoin is to create an innovation for transaction and payment. Not only that but if the tx fees diminished in the next coming years, bitcoin will again be the king of micropayments and overseas remittances; it's easier to just send bitcoin than to queue on a remittance center like WU and pay enormous fees in the process of doing so. If the second point comes true, bitcoin will also be widely used in shopping online--and that is if merchants accepted bitcoin as a payment method--instead of credit cards which charges you everytime you make a purchase. The future is bright with bitcoin, though it needs to solve the problem of transaction time and fees (which had become significantly lower in the past few weeks) in order for all of these to come true.

Since like you too and all the other crypto lovers out there, I also have bills to pay. And obviously having an extra money for them all and more will really reduce the jobs I need to get into and replace them with jobs here on the forum and trading. Imagine a life where you do not have to think about what job or other sidelines you will have to get in on just to make ends meet, that would absolutely be pretty awesome if you ask me. So really, no matter how much we want to use cryptos as how satoshi has envisioned it to be, it is still pretty impossible to attain considering all the problems that cryptos have nowadays. Also, it has the capability to skyrocket in a few hours. It can also be a lifetime investment that has a huge return. Earning bitcoins is a side job for everyone as long as they have the basic equipments and knowledge of bitcoin.

Same here, it has opened up avenues for me to pick up freelance jobs online and get paid for it which wasn't possible with fiat currencies for great number of years and so i see bitcoin as a financial liberator which has come to really improve our lives and reduce unemployment remotely. It is a good mode of payment because we can pay stuff online without going thru bank or any financing company. There sure are still a lot of us that are interested in bitcoin's growth more than any other alternative coins out there. The sad thing is, most of the responses are all money or profit related. Not that I am saying it is bad, I mean, I too want the money and profits. But the thing is, more newbies are only seeing bitcoins as something that is a money producing thing rather than a currency or an innovative technology that can turn this world around and rid us off of the outdated monetary systems that we are currently stuck in. Oh well, I guess money is just too strong and to hard to resist. Anyways, thanks for the responses guys, good day.

It gives me a living and a way to communicate to other people who are from different countries. it teaches me more about culture understanding and how to accept diversity especially for people who have different opinions from mine. In this forum alone, I have seen how other people view the people from other countries and there is diversified opinion depending on which country someone is if he is from a developing country or a developed country. While those people from developed countries may have seen bitcoin as a new technology that would disrupt the financial system, some people from developing countries see it as a source of income and doesn't care that much how it will change the financial arena. I respect every one's opinion about how they see bitcoin as I believe the variation derives from their current lifestyle.Personally, I treat bitcoin as a source of income and feel that I am part of something that will have a great effect in the economy in the future. I think cryptocurrency is like the internet when it was first introduced and people are doubtful about it but eventually it is not only a want because it is part of the need already because of the advanced technology we have. Well for me i think im the opposite of you ,due to the fact that i only use my bitcoin as a currency and not an asset. I love using my bitcoin to purchase something that can only be bought online. I do also agree when you say that bitcoin is now verry important because bitcoin does actually help us people in order to make our lives more easier than before. Aside from being just a currency i also sees bitcoin as a hidden gem because earning bitcoin is not an easy thing to do especially if you dont have capital to buy it directly.
