Nowadays more news come from different places, different people and different time. Very easy to share news from other to one another but the problem is not all news are eligible to believe because some are just created for fun purposes. More people's become victims of fake news that some involve celebrities, politicians, and well known person are the issues.

How we can eliminate fake news?

As of now, we are encountering a big problem dealing with the fake news. We cannot differentiate anymore the fake in genuine one. I guess there will become a new project that will tackle to a transparent news. A fair and equal news for all.

The real impact of the growing interest in fake news has been the realization that the public might not be well-equipped to separate quality information from false information so that's really an important question how we can eliminate fake news !!!

People should be able to distinguish the fakes from the facts. This is our personal responsibility. People do not know how to analyze the news. So they often become victims of fraud. Nothing can be forbidden in our world. This is our school of life. We have to pass these tests. Our future success depends on it.

Teach people personal responsibility about content filtering on the internet, it really is up to each individual to know what is a reliable source and what isn't.

fake news is good as stupidity. it should be eliminated. people should be responsible of whatever comes in their mind mouth and writings. fake news existed because of stupid peoples’ envy, crab mentality. whysome people aren’t happy when someone is successful?

Its almost impossible. With how vast the reach of social media has all over the world, a simple headline that wasn't reseached and is untrue, may very well attention and foolish people will believe it. That's how fake news can easily spread and with facebook and the likes easily being accessed, its not going to be hard for anyone to spread fake news.

I believe that nowadays technologies are capable of handling the fake news, articles and misleading investigations.
The main problem is that one has to check too many sources and compare a lot of facts to get to the very bottom of the event and understand - is this representation truth or it is a fake. You can even see that people start to join groups in fake news hunting (bellingcat f.e.).
Now, what I think, is that Machine Learning and Neural Networks algorithms can actually handle this comparison and fact-checking, once you will train it on certain "true" information sources.
And currently, there are such algorithms in development already ;)

In the era of Internnet it's impossible. Of course, there are some projects on blockchain already developed for news control, but I don't think they will be soon mass-adopted. The only way out is to perceive everything with a cool mind and never make quick decisions. And, of course, make your own life a focus of interest, not the celebrities' or politicians' ones!

Fake news is like an off topics in this forum. Nowadays it is not easy to accept every comment which was provided by the op and the participants of the topics. DTs called th as the cancer in this forum, also the fake news sources are cancer in the society and eliminating it is a hard battle because only few can survive the chemotherapy and it become more incurable as time passes by.

False news is alarming; they can affect the minds of hundreds of thousands and even millions of people every day. But let's look at this wider: the bias of results and search options can affect billions of people every day, and they themselves do not know about it. Fake news as a means of influence in this regard is just a trifle.

You are definitely not familiar with the power of Machine Learning and Neural networks, mate. There are already algorithms which answer the "is it fake?" question with ~70% of confidence.
I totally agree with you, that you should be cold-minded and never fall into quick decisions and etc. But some events are more than that. Some of them are so hard to prove and investigate that people start to join groups and investigate that event together, and even that united process can take several months! (for example Bellingcat group and their investigation of MH-17).
That is why I think that it is more important not to "detect" fake, but to mark the source of the fake news and warn users that "trust level of this source is low, be cautious!".
And with modern technologies this is possible.
You do not need to control the news - you should take control of the information sources you are checking every day, and there will be a platform which will help with that.

To be honest I'm not agreed on the news because yes it's true now a days news are just fake , just to say that their have news to tackle about. But instead a truth it becomes a lie.

Mainstream media pumps out just as much if not more fake news than any alternative news source.

The problem is they are controlled by people in power to promote an agenda, remove alternate news sources and they crap they churn out goes unchallenged or stories they wish to cover up will never see the light of day.

Most viewers do not take the time to personally research on a specific topic that media is presenting,because they believe the source is credible.This means that when viewers see these things, they automatically hold truth to it and spread it around via mouth or social media.Rumors then get started and people base good or bad judgements around it and may even act on it.It is an unfortunate cycle. So eliminate fake news!!!

news media is an important thing in sharing information, really a lot of news is still fresh and true reality but not a few news that contains lies, I can not comment much but we as media users wise should really filter out which opinion and reality , and do not be satisfied with one source of information just look for comparison through other media, that's all I can say thank you.

We cant eliminate that face news right away because there's many source and we dont now if its fake or not. For now the the simple way we cant help with s not to believe right aways in every news if it is from social media or news media

it is very difficult to fight against this, as long as the reporters and their channels have unlimited rights to present in this form the news that they are profitable and do not bear any responsibility for this, ordinary people and even the stars will suffer, because when reporters are paid good money for the "news" of their it's hard to stop the pedagogue than anything, although there are decent journalists who fight for the truth in the form that it is committed by the bark, so as not to lead us through the false track of customized news.

photos can be easily photoshoped, and cgi's is quite a candy in the eye these days. It's kind of hard what news should we believe these days, we have to make sure that these news are  not fabricated in any forms. Of course live coverage would be a great help but people should be vigilant on what stories should they share on social media too.

Look up any article on any website that's somewhat got traffic coursing through it. They're all fake. I'm not saying the news is completely fake, like "Trump just started a war with Asia!"

It's more like, you'll see headlines like: "How Bitcoin Is Destroying the Sheep Industry." And when you read the article, it doesn't even really mention sheep, but mentions some very weak speculation on how 1 or 2 agricultural farmers have stopped farming in order to invest in bitcoin mining.

Dumb shit like that. So it's not fake news, but it's more like tabloid bs.

And it's not just tabloid websites that do that... you see this stuff on like Mother Jones and big news companies.

Just sensationalism that doesn't really give any valuable info.

It is true that it is hard to distinguish fake news from real one but we can find out which one is true if we, in ourselves take the responsibility in knowing what is really happening to our surroundings. We should know what is true about these spreading news and how it is being shared by doing our own research, knowing reliable parties/sources who really knows everything about this news. We should also stop believing in things that we just heard from somewhere which we do not really know anything that happened in that news. We should also stop ourselves being one of these people who spread these fake news.

From what i think to eliminate fake news to a great extend i think one of the possible way is to verify the news with a few news place.

It is sometimes really hard to understand if the news are true or fake.We can do more research on the right website and so double check if the news are not fake.We can talk ,also,with expert or friends that know more than us.
We can also failure in this way but better to ask and to do more research than nothing.I think share the own  knowledge is a good way..

A good way to start eliminating fake news would be shutting down mainstream media. Since this is probably not possible, a plan B would be just to stop following mainstream media. After all, if nobody watches fake news any more, they virtually chease to exist.

So far if there is scam in bitcoin there is a fake news outside bitcoin.  :D Fake news nowadays is very hard to distinguish from what is true. Fake news have a big impact of bad effect to the citizens that sometimes their day was destroyed because of fake news. One day when fake news spread throughout the entire land imagine how big the population in the particular area that believe the news. For example join in the rapple promo and you win instant 1000$. Not knowing it is fake news. Hard to eliminate fake news because there wasn't an agency to prevent fake news.

Well the truth is we can't but it have an solution , number 1 why we can't eliminate fake news because of the people , we tend to believe even it's not true and media using this to brainwash us , they tend to fake the news just to have money. We can stop this by unity and all of us participate to bring not a fake news but a truth. As of now many media still fake , so many fake now a days.

We can't. But there is a solution for people not to believe in fake news. Go to trusted news site and verify from the television news if it is real or not. Most people easily believe what they see on the internet. Also, be a good reader. Analyze the news carefully. You can tell if the article you're reading is fake or not.

News stories are complicated in ways that computers have difficulty dealing with.There are some very smart people looking at automated solutions now, around automated fact checking, which can get up to about 80% accurate.I would argue we are always going to need human eyes at the very end to say 'hang on, have we got entirely duped.

To eliminate fake news there should be punishment for the company who starts the fake news.In that case it will eliminate or lessen fake news.

And who is going to punish them? The Police?:D They can always blame it on their lack of knowledge, undisclosed sources, things like that. Most of those news outlets have disclaimers that say the information may be inaccurate and that sometimes they come from anonymous tips and other undisclosed sources. We should learn not to trust them and not to act on these news without confirming them first.

FYI Fake news is not the main production of company. Fake news is created by a person to shaken the people or it is intended to destroy one personality.

There is a growing social media and search to better police fake news. This is an admirable plan, because nobody should be misled by false information. However, as history has told us, those in charge of misinformation can often use changes like this to their advantage. So we have to eliminate fake news from web and internet as people do not get wrong information and get tensed about that.

I think it is up to us. The key to stopping fake news is to stop patronizing them. If you are in doubt on the source of information,it is but proper to check citations and countercheck facts. Make sure that you don't share news that you yourself don't believe in.  Check news only on credible sites or media entities.

What do you mean ? I could not get the point sorry. How can so-called angels give people exactly real news . It is not possible for sure. If you want to know whether a news is real or not. You should ask these answers from real people.

It is really hard to eliminate fake news specially news that came from media. If you don't want to be a victim of a fake news the. It is better to make a thorough research regarding that news in order to find the truth.

From the example of the fresh Kemerovo tragedy where the actual victim quantity will never be published I see that social media and people in them can be the source of real news, not the federal media.

These media houses have been perpetrating fake news for a very long time now and it’s been very recently that the people got to know of their diabolical deeds. I hardly trust any news any more because they always show what they want you to see not the truth.

I don't think it's possible to eliminate fake news. People are going to write whatever they want to as long as they can get something out of it. All we can do is support publications that have a reputation of integrity. If it becomes profitable to be honest then more writers will be. For now though, it's up to each consumer to fact check for themselves which unfortunateley isn't practical.

It is difficult to eliminate fake news. But we can identify where the hoax news and where the original news. As for the way that is we should be careful with provocative titles. We can look for references in the form of similar news from the official online site, then compare the contents, whether the same or different.In addition we must also be careful with the site address obtained from the website or link.We can also observe the difference between news made based on facts and opinions.

Eliminate fake news?

 This is why we find people without journalistic training and ignorant of the principles of news production engaged in production and circulation of fake news

We cannot eliminate fake news because most of them comes from social media, where most small minded(or stupid to be practical) people reside. This kind of people should stop believing and sharing something(like fake deaths of celebrities) without doing research first, or knowing that the page or site where the news comes from is legit.

Fake news can not be deleted, because the news is purposely made by people who are not responsible for misleading purposes.

You as the recipient of the news must find out about the truth of the news you receive it.

Although fake news has been around as long us humankind,that cause to increased the influence with printed word and explosion,but as of human you must responsible to know the truth behind the fake news..and to eliminate the fake news you must also identify the truth through you own research,,

It’s very hard to get in-biased media at the moment let alone dealing with the fake news. We need a way of self regulations instead of news just speculating which fuels the fake news.

That's also the issue nowadays, especially with Facebook, it is easy now to spread fake news, some news are true but some are not either, so it also depends on us if we will be going to believe that news spreading in Facebook.

I think we can eliminate fake news if we would not entertain those. But before that, we should know how to check if a news is a true or it is just a fake one. We should know how to filter the news we see. We should compare the different sides or point of view of a given situation so we can tell that a news isn't telling right. At the digital age, the rise of social media also led to the rise of fake news. This is a hot issue in our country as netizens were easily be convinced about something and they won't hesitate to share it making the news be spread which is same with spreading lies. We all should be educated and thankfully it is in our curriculum that makes us information literate that is useful to eliminate those fake news.
