As of now, we are encountering a big problem dealing with the fake news. We cannot differentiate anymore the fake in genuine one. I guess there will become a new project that will tackle to a transparent news. A fair and equal news for all.

Its almost impossible. With how vast the reach of social media has all over the world, a simple headline that wasn't reseached and is untrue, may very well attention and foolish people will believe it. That's how fake news can easily spread and with facebook and the likes easily being accessed, its not going to be hard for anyone to spread fake news.

I believe that nowadays technologies are capable of handling the fake news, articles and misleading investigations.
The main problem is that one has to check too many sources and compare a lot of facts to get to the very bottom of the event and understand - is this representation truth or it is a fake. You can even see that people start to join groups in fake news hunting (bellingcat f.e.).
Now, what I think, is that Machine Learning and Neural Networks algorithms can actually handle this comparison and fact-checking, once you will train it on certain "true" information sources.
And currently, there are such algorithms in development already

You are definitely not familiar with the power of Machine Learning and Neural networks, mate. There are already algorithms which answer the "is it fake?" question with ~70% of confidence.
I totally agree with you, that you should be cold-minded and never fall into quick decisions and etc. But some events are more than that. Some of them are so hard to prove and investigate that people start to join groups and investigate that event together, and even that united process can take several months! (for example Bellingcat group and their investigation of MH-17).
That is why I think that it is more important not to "detect" fake, but to mark the source of the fake news and warn users that "trust level of this source is low, be cautious!".
And with modern technologies this is possible.
You do not need to control the news - you should take control of the information sources you are checking every day, and there will be a platform which will help with that.

Mainstream media pumps out just as much if not more fake news than any alternative news source.

The problem is they are controlled by people in power to promote an agenda, remove alternate news sources and they crap they churn out goes unchallenged or stories they wish to cover up will never see the light of day.

Most viewers do not take the time to personally research on a specific topic that media is presenting,because they believe the source is credible.This means that when viewers see these things, they automatically hold truth to it and spread it around via mouth or social media.Rumors then get started and people base good or bad judgements around it and may even act on it.It is an unfortunate cycle. So eliminate fake news!!!

news media is an important thing in sharing information, really a lot of news is still fresh and true reality but not a few news that contains lies, I can not comment much but we as media users wise should really filter out which opinion and reality , and do not be satisfied with one source of information just look for comparison through other media, that's all I can say thank you.

it is very difficult to fight against this, as long as the reporters and their channels have unlimited rights to present in this form the news that they are profitable and do not bear any responsibility for this, ordinary people and even the stars will suffer, because when reporters are paid good money for the "news" of their it's hard to stop the pedagogue than anything, although there are decent journalists who fight for the truth in the form that it is committed by the bark, so as not to lead us through the false track of customized news.

photos can be easily photoshoped, and cgi's is quite a candy in the eye these days. It's kind of hard what news should we believe these days, we have to make sure that these news are  not fabricated in any forms. Of course live coverage would be a great help but people should be vigilant on what stories should they share on social media too.

Tbh, everything on the internet is fake news. If you're into content marketing, you'd probably understand why.

Look up any article on any website that's somewhat got traffic coursing through it. They're all fake. I'm not saying the news is completely fake, like "Trump just started a war with Asia!"

It's more like, you'll see headlines like: "How Bitcoin Is Destroying the Sheep Industry." And when you read the article, it doesn't even really mention sheep, but mentions some very weak speculation on how 1 or 2 agricultural farmers have stopped farming in order to invest in bitcoin mining.

Dumb shit like that. So it's not fake news, but it's more like tabloid bs.

And it's not just tabloid websites that do that... you see this stuff on like Mother Jones and big news companies.

Just sensationalism that doesn't really give any valuable info.
