In the past an year ago the price of bitcoin was going much better on upward direction and everyone was of the opinion that bitcoin is a decentralized currency and no one even the governments can harm it and it is in the control of the users and holders. If the holders will not sell at low then none of the world power can reduce its price. At that time I remember none of the bad news was having power to reduce the price of bitcoin. I remember when Russia banned bitcoin in their country and there was not any affect of it in bitcoin. But nowadays it became the mentality of the users of bitcoin that when any bad news come then the price will reduce so with any bad news they start to sell as faster as they can and in that way they dump the price too much.

So today I decided to start a campaign to aware everyone that bitcoin is a decentralized currency and none of the bad news can harm its price unless we sell at low.

In this campaign we every user of bitcoin have to make this aim and have to promote it to everyone that we will not fear from any bad news and have to keep it in mind that we will not sell our coin when any bad news come.

I could be wrong in my explanation but I feel as though during the big run up to 20k a lot of the long-term holders sold their positions and the coins were transferred to a lot of weaker hands. Now there has to be a period of the price falling for the coins to transfer back from those weak hands and in to the hands of people who will hold again through the difficulties. You are right that it's simply solved by not selling but I feel as though your suggestion is falling on death ears.

All we have to do is to educate all of the investors of bitcoin about it and about its future and have to teach them about all the coming rewards by bitcoin to its holders. If they will know about the coming future of bitcoin and about their role for bringing that bright future then they will start believing on bitcoin and they will happily and with strength support bitcoin and will promote it everywhere.

There's a lot of bad news about cryptocurrency like facebook and google ad ban cryptocurrency to release ads.  I hope it will not big effects because for sure they have a lot of new coming news about cryptocurrency that the information is bad. Just ignore the news and keep continue and be normal day because if we affected for sure it will be lose.  Better to keep promoting crypto to other people.

We need not only promote we need to fight back. Spread the word. Tell the ordinary people what is behind. What google and facebook are. Why most of the governments not want bitcoins.

Actually the news do not affect the price as I discussed in the main post in detail but the weak hands fear and start to sell.

We need to promote not only the word of bitcoin but we also have to teach them everything about bitcoin and we have to tell them about the upcoming challenges coming to bitcoin and we also have to teach them that how we have to save it.

The third point is that the governments are not against of bitcoin but they only are worried about the money laundry cases which they think can happen with anonymity of bitcoin and for which they are starting regulations and these regulations means that they are interested to start working with bitcoin and when they will be satisfied with their regulations then they will openly announce the support and legalization of bitcoin and that will be our success.

It is a nice campaign started to give strength to bitcoin and its community. After reading this topic I am also in its favor and I am aiming that I will not rely on any bad news and I will consider it in my mind that bitcoin price is decentralized and no one can harm it. I will defend bitcoin in any bad news situation in the form of holding it and promoting it. I like the motivation like that.

there is a saying in trading that when you don`t know how to trade you win more rather than you think that you know and as far as I can see whoever made a bit of money with btc thinks he she is a successful trader which results in poor decision if see the big picture.

I disagree with you, because bitcoin is very sensitive to external influences, so bad news is one reason the value of bitcoin falls, and I think when russia ban bitcoin, bitcoin prices also come down, but not drastically.

so it's not wrong if the bad news affects the bitcoin value, and that's true.the wrong is when someone sells bitcoin after hearing bad news. he should not panic and not sell it, when they sell it, then the price becomes down.

Whatever happens, I will always support bitcoin! For me, this is the perfect currency! Which should replace all other currencies in the world and then people will stop paying taxes for turnover bitcoin and will be richer!

well I really appreciate your though and hope this campaign becomes successful and if so the whales wouldn`t be able to play cheap games with the investors in a such easy way.

As optimistic and cheery as this is, I don't think many people will follow this. If there's bad enough news, I'm sure that even the deepest of hodlers would be willing to sell -- Bitcoin is not a fun game to play around with, it's a currency that people actively buy and sell, trade with, and even use to purchase daily items. It has a value, and it's not like a child or a dog that one can simply say that they are willing to support the growth of. Bitcoin isn't really a living thing, and the people who support it indefinitely are surely not the smartest. There has to always be a point where you put your foot down and turn the other way.

Thats the enthusiasm! Same here, I've encountered same situation and bitcoin always recovers. I know bitcoin  will come a long way and here to stay. We see how bitcoin works, we appreciate it and the convenience it brings. So, just let them sow the FUD news, I  ignore  it.

I am optimistic about future of bitcoin and dont wanna to worry about price and markets. Corrections are temporary and recovery will come sooner than we expected. But that time when recovery starts you will not have a chance to buy for a such low price.So emotions like fear and greed should be ignored by traders and holders ;)

It's a very good idea to have a campaign like that, if we look at bitcoin prices in the next few years is still very much higher than the year before, and I still hold the bitcoin because I believe bitcoin will rebound again soar.

I all agree with the above comments and my thoughts on this is that negativity of any news shouldn't be given more of an importance when opening a subject thread that could literally affect bitcoin. With this I guess, bad news may be at least minimize and members should perhaps promote the bright side of what bitcoin can do to people with regards to investment and market profitability.

Some fake news or bad news can only scare some new investors.

Actually google and facebook are just victims from rotten politicians cruelty who wear a suit and tie who hide behind their agency (in fact, they are just heavyweight losers) and FBI are just dogs paid expensive by them. We as bitcoin users in particular should be able to fight them because this is urgent or already beyond the limits of reasonableness.

Positive campaign is a very good idea.
We as a small community may only be able to make positive speculation but though it is just speculation, It did however, have a significant positive effect : first of all we can invite them to act more wisely in determining the steps to make no mistake. Second able to fend negative news (FUD) which often attack bitcoin.

I believe the collapse of bitcoin because of the bad news that is read in social media as well as cryptocurrencies being banned by other countries .You are right, we should not be afraid of FUDs let us  support and help bitcoin be more popular around the world.

Although we do so, we cannot spread the knowledge to each and every person in the country. This work must be done by the governments of each country to educate their people about new technologies, digital life, blockchain and crypto currencies. The market will grow and prosper only when people living in the country have proper knowledge about crypto currencies and on what technology they work with its uses.

That’s true, bitcoin is held by not a single person or a single authority in the world or governments, it is held by all the members of community. Therefore, unless we people decide to sell bitcoin and other altcoins, nothing can affect the prices of the crypto currencies.

I don’t know what people are even afraid of. They must be happy and investing more that their country is not banning crypto currencies and is rather taking measures to regulate it among the country. All we must HODL crypto and not sell them because of bad news, cause in the end its we people that control the prices of crypto currencies.

The people who decide what happens to bitcoin/how bitcoin is looked at are the media and governments.

True. Dips are surely necessary in crypto market to ensure that all the weak hands are removed from the market because there are many people in crypto market with knowledge and experience that usually sell cryptos in panic when they see the price falling without knowing the reason. I personally think that this dip was necessary to remove those weak hands. Not as the market has crashed quite is bit and has somewhat become stable, I believe that its just the strong investors and traders that are holding the coins. Therefore, I surely think that from now own crypto currencies will rise, recover and reach new all time highs.

The problem is that no matter how hard you try to push the benefits of bitcoin there will always be people who fail to understand or simply just do not believe. And right now that's still a large portion of the overall population because they're mostly incapable of believing anything unless the status quo tells them to believe in it.

We ourselves can only do so much to spread information and promote bitcoin to the world.

bitcoin here in crypto is risky but the price are more base in users,investors and traders so if they listen to fake news or afraid here to risk then the price of many digital currency go low

Agree with you, the bad news that spread around the community can causing the holders sell bitcoin.

Bitcoin is now more of a religion, and when you really understand the bitcoins and blockchains, you're going to have a long-term hold on bitcoins.
If you hold bitcoin for a long time, you will get a good profit in the future.

There are always people who would support bitcoin through thick and thin but due to its nature being a tradable entity, people would just continue to buy and sell and the news would have a big effect to it. Good news would make the people buy and bad news for would make the people sell because it is expected that it will go down. It is not really because people lose faith in it that they sell it but because of the opportunity to earn more and once someone sold, it would go lower and more people would sell and it will have a domino effect. It is just the nature of trading.

I dont agree what youve said maybe that person is just lucky in trading. Mostly all successful trader are all have experienced and have a lot of knowledge, they cant become successful if they only have luck.

Although I agree with this campaign but cannot be denied because there are still many bitcoin users who always panic when they hear FUD news about bitcoin so they sell their bitcoin and cause the market price to decline. However, the FUD news also has the benefit of bitcoin price fluctuations so we can take advantage of the price reduction to buy bitcoin much cheaper than before because of the fluctuations we can use as a tool for trading in the short term. But, for the long-term, I think FUD news that often appears will not be too influential because every year the bitcoin holders will certainly always benefit.

Well there are many bitcoin loyalist who does that, including me but sadly bitcoin loyalist have no control over the vast supply of bitcoin. The whales who have or owned thousands of bitcoin are the ones who are in control of its value. Even if we join hands but sadly if we compare our bitcoin supply to them they still have the advantage. Only if bitcoins supply will be distributed to many individuals then we can say that bitcoins value will hardly deflate.

During the December madness, there are a lot of irrational buyers, those investors, usually newbies who really thinks that bitcoin will make them millionaires. That's why they keep buying at top price and even though there are negatives news coming around, it didn't have any significant dent because, investors keep pouring money into the ecosystem. And those that are selling in the last 3 months are those who invested in December. They got burned and murdered when the market suddenly when into bearish sentiment.


Good initiative. actually I think most of the members are really fighting those FUD that is going around. Just go and look at the speculation thread, lots of thread saying that bitcoin is going to go down as low as $2000. LOL. Lot of doomsayers, but we have to fight back, inform everyone that this is just another bump along the way and eventually everything will fall into the right pieces and soon we will bounce back from this bearish trend.

You are right! We must always try to promote bitcoin and spread the news how beneficial it is for the people!

Sure the people so bans and supports the banning of bitcoin are afraid or threatened by what bitcoin could possibly do to their businesses or of their personal interest.

Bitcoin must be spread through out the world so that every people in every corners of the world will know and understand what it is and how it can surely help them.

I'm sure the society can't really rely upon in the decentralized economics, they still need helps from the centralized economics to be able completely to maximize the benefits of cryptocurrency. There are a lot of governments strict regulation, and even how small and big the regulation is, the Bitcoin price is easily affected.

Many people are now in a state of distrust toward bitcoin. As long as the bitcoin's fall rate is relatively large, they panic and follow the sell-off. Therefore, the continuous decline of bitcoin is caused by these people who do not trust bitcoin.

I'll keep believing bitcoin even if there is many negative news about it. It is the greatest investment I entered and I saw proofs that can support bitcoin. I keep my faith in it and I will continue it even if I pass my knowledge to the next generation of mine.

Is surely has affected the crypto market quite a bit currently. But it is expected to recover soon. Not only the news of Google, youtube and facebook banning crypto advertisements was the reason for the downfall of the crypto market, there were also other reasons such as south korea closing down anonymous exchanges and US regulating strict law against the launching of the ICO’s to secure people from losing their investments on a scam project.

The correction is massive currently, but there is nothing to worry cause we all know that market will recover soon and rise more stronger than previous times.

The reason for the drop of bitcoin and other crypto currencies were :
1.   South Korean government banning anonymous crypto exchanges.
2.   US government regulating launching of ICO’s and applying strict rules on them.
3.   Google, Youtube and Facebook banned crypto currencies advertisements.
This sums up the answer to your question why bitcoin dropped suddenly.

Its a good awareness post for every bitcoin trader because most of us earn livelihood from bitcoin and we should not react on bad news whatever the news is. If we guys trust bitcoin again then I am sure sooner bitcoin will again break its previous high its not an uphill task for bitcoin. I am a big supporter of bitcoin and I will continue to support/promote bitcoin as it has already changed my lifestyle. Lets hold the bitcoin for long-term guys.

It will not change anything until cryptocurrencies. We must wait for the BTC to be legalized. Google will not allow the promotion of things without legalization.

Well i am a hodler and i have not reacted to any bad news story.
We have to realise that as well as people selling out of fear when bad news surfaces
there are also people who can see an opportunity to grow their bitcoin hodlings by selling high and buying back low.
Both of these actions have an effect on the markets.

Yeah , you are right and also I am with you , here is would like to force about the ban of the bitcoin in one of the state of Russia and at that time due to ban , dump was about 50-60$ maximum and that was only for 20 days only , so we can understand ban like things doens't give much impact at price of bitcoin .
But in the current time many traders remains ready to listen about negative news and rumours about to ban bitcoin or anything very small things related to cryptourrency that will be negative , make them to sell Thier btc and look for again buy at low price .
So here we should be make ourself definite that we will remain with hodl and not going for sell at any edge of fear and this will make bitcoin more stable and more demand in this world .

Things have been this way since the birth of bitcoin. Many people have tried to demolish it in one way or the other. Always babbling on rubbish things about bitcoin.

All these people are actually afraid of bitcoin and its power. It is the face of future currency, allowing its investor to have more control and freedom over their economy. It does not matter what people say, truth can always defend itself. Bitcoin proves all the blames wrong time to time.

Please read carefully my post. I have not asked that why the price of bitcoin dropped but I tried to explain something else. I am trying to explain the real nature of bitcoin and trying to tell the users of bitcoin that the power is in the hands of them and if they will support bitcoin then no one will be able to harm this from another place. Only the users of bitcoin can decide for the price of bitcoin that for how much they want to sell their coins. If they will not agree to sell at low then the price will buy at whatever price they will provide. So do not sell at low price and do not sell at lose.
