75% loss so far...and counting...what about you?

I guess its 85%-90% loss so far if I were to add all the coins I bought since last January. I bought those at all time high so its a mess but I don't regret buying them since I'm a hodl-er. Will wait for the bull market to happen soon as the year is still long, we are still in the first quarter so hoping to see some improvements by April. As for now, let's stop looking at our portfolios  :D

My wallet suffered 60% decline in two week. But after this week I think it will start be green again

My Wife and I have been affected since January by a 90% decline in our portfolio value, hence all our little bag of wealth and savings has diminished rapidly, so our safety net we were hoping for has not materialized now. This means that the struggle for survival is on and we have to work more hours to earn less, because our living expenses, year in, year out, go up, but now our earnings are diminishing rapidly. I hope though that we can still pull it off to earn a living over the next few years, or at the age of 61,  will have to start looking for work and when you are as old as I am, no employer in the real world wants to take you on.  :(

your way too over invested if it's going to affect your retirement and you have to work extra jobs.   

Well I have already around 4 times my initial investment in my bank account BUT - if I lost around 80% since 6.1.2018. If I would only withdrawn everything at this date, I would have probably around 20 times my initial investment in my bank account :(  

Yes, I'm sure that almost all have lost some of their savings because of the fall of the market. There's nothing to be done. It remains only to wait for improvement in the market. Be patient...

There is no loss until the coins are inside your wallet, I'm not loosing anything and can't just get the point of you guys who's crying about nothing.

Comparing to the ATH from January I`ve lost 75 %  ;D
BUT if i would compare with the money that I actually invested from my pocket I am o profit with 4x so it`s still pretty good. But i did not buy anything in nov-ian.

i sold all my ETH the 9th of January 2018 at 8:51AM. so i haven't lost anything. Indeed i won a lot.

I knew holding was not an option. In my country it's very said this: it's better to have one bird in your hand than see a thousand flying.

Currently whatever you see in red is all the notional loss till they are realized. Once they are sold out and if you get less than the buying price than it is a real loss till then it is just a reference that your portfolio as per current market value is in green or red.

My top investments are still in profit. However, I could have a huge profit if I sold at ATH. And if I count ATH, I have a 90% loss. Don't know when this red will be green.

I understand how you feel about the dip because we all felt the same way too. To be honest, I have lost more than 70% of the total value I have in my portfolio. My dad used to tell me that I should not withdraw all of them, but to hold until I make my first million. However, in January, it is where I have learned my lesson that not all of my dad's decisions are right, and he realizes it as well but encourages me to hold until the big bull run this year.

This time, I am listening to the decisions of the experienced traders and investors when it comes to this situation. As of now, I am only planning to hold a few of my top altcoins and the rest will be dumped. Simple as that.

At present, I have suffered a loss of 50%, which has affected my mood very badly. I feel anxious every day.

Since January the market is overcome by red colour. Now my investment is 65% in loss. Still I have lot of hopes in market, it will be in green colour.

As of now I have lost like 78% of the total value In have in my portfolio. My brother and I invested about the same amount in the crypto and he has more than me. I had previously deided that I will start to withdraw amount from my portfolio whenever I will hit some milestone. But due to my greed I didn’t and suffering now. I have learned the lesson now that always withdraw a little on your way up.

im force to sell some of my holding as i need for it on my daily expenses. even i get loss, this is the risk and im dealing on it. i hope that it will rise soon to cover my losses.

Most of the coin decreasing price,  because of the bitcoin orice decreasing so that's why the price of all coins decreasing because some of them are base on the bitcoin.  Don't worry if the bitcoin price again increase for sure altcoins will increase again.  The better you gonna do right now is to buy bitcoin and altcoin with your extra money and hold it for few years and for sure you will earn profit.

It is useless to panic, those who enter this market must be aware that there is a risk of losing almost all their capital. However, I am very confident for the future, in the coming weeks/months the market will return to growth and losses will be replaced by earnings

If you invested in altcoins 2 months ago, then you mean that you have suffered an average of 70%. Unfortunately this situation is very sad, the money we have is melting away and we can not do anything. We do not have a chance to intervene :(

I have still doubled my investments from buying just before Christmas, But If I had cashed out in January I would have gained about x7/x8 on my original investment.

The Lessons I have learned:

1) Not holding enough Bitcoin.
2) Over invested in Alt Coins.
3) Not taking profits.

This bear market has put me off investing more money into Alt coins, it's been an eye opener on how quickly Alt coins collapse. I have no choice but to hold onto my coins and hopefully the market will recover. But ultimately Bitcoin is king and further investments will just be in Bitcoin for me with 10/20% gambles on up and coming coins.

When I hit 15% loss of my portfolio I have already cut my damage (8,900 USD). Base on my technical analysis using Fibo the price expected at the end of the month is 5,800 USD. I will re-enter the market when the market rebounded from downtrend. The fundamental indicator also didn’t favor the current situation so advise all to become cautious in order to minimize the losses.

I am bounty hunter but occasionally I buy a trusted altcoin and not always lucky, I always exchange it with ETH so as not to lose more than 50%.

I think its almost 40% loss since last month but nothing to worry since i want a long term investment. I have no plan of cutting my loss or selling my existing coins now in portfolio. I expected and hoping that my portfolio to recover this coming 3rd quarter of 2018 up to end of this year.

My portfolio value decresed on around 50-60% from it's early January value . I prepared myself psychologically to it's further decrease , so I'm just keeping calm . I believe FUD will end soon and my portfolio will be back to green again .

I think the market grew too much in December, and it needs time to calm down and come to normal. Anyway a year ago, prices were much lower.

at such moments, I try to wait away from the Internet, to panic and mourn as much as anything, but you need to make a choice to believe or not in the crypt. if Yes, then waiting for , if not the sell all and get experience.

My coins value is playing around $2.0-2.5$. And because of the red days it went to $1.3. So obviously it affected my coins in a bad way. But we really don't have to panic and we should just keep on looking coins that are worth investing right now.

It's 50% so far. I average down but then it continue going down that's why I still lose this much. Same here almost 60 to 70 percent loss not only one coin but 2 it was so disappointed but still believing that it will rise again so i don't lose hope that my loss give it back and double earning for this year. But im always thinking a positive feedback or returned in the future of bitcoin so that still holding and investing because i know that my loss here was return in the perfect time.

Currently I am simple bounty hunters. I did not own any coin yet but I always get information about the prices of coins. Bitcoin now is decreasing, even ethereum is decreasing too, even the altcoins. Actually I don't know if this situation is really good or maybe it is bad. Disadvantages is more than advantage so far as for now. This is what I think toward this decreasing prices.

Yes, you are right this is the best time to invest our money. Buy more coins because the price is very low and hold it for a while. Because as we all know the price of bitcoin and altcoin is volatile.. Very unpredictable so we need to be patience and wait for the right time. When the price of bitcoin and altcoin  blooms up then it is the best time to sell our coins. And earn more profits.  

Well, i don't see it as a loss. Mainly i see it as a chance to buy more since the price is so damn lowm i myself even purchased a little bit of Ethereum to bump up my ethereum porfolio. Don't panic if the market spiked down abit. Think of it that the coins are now on sale and you should take advantage of it. I think i saw this trend last year and by the third quarter you will substantial increases in your portfolio. My advise? Hold on for dear life.

For those who invest only time and effort in projects that create a really strong and promising product, the market drop is felt less painful.

My portfolio is even worse, And it's at 50% losses. Hopefully the fuds will end and my altcoins will return to the previous prices. To recover from all my losses and to continue building my new home.

80+ percent but what to do. This is the life of traders winning and losing months, we can only hope that the price will rise soon and not red anymore, there are up trend and down trend month i guess now is the down trend period we only can hope this nightmare end soon.

Not only you and I everyone is suffering from the same issues. Until now its 74% loss in total (From November to Now). But I don't give up the hope, as I'm sure the market will get a BIG KICK and be up with 10x speed. I'm afraid with my altcoins not for Bitcoin BTC. Last time a while ago, I am already losing 1/3 of  its value. Too much already, but nothing I can do. If Ill sell at a loss, no way to recover. I am also losing a lot of my money at the moment, but I do not worry about it because I know that in the near future I will receive from this profit. I had not kept the coins for a long time, I just traded every day and punched the profit. but now the market does not allow me and I keep the coins for long-term

Its all red in my portfolio.
But there is one good catch. We can now buy more, specially the coins that we really love or we know that have a promising future.
They may be cents by now but if I get more, a little movement can be really felt.
Traders must have been hit hard by this dip and it sure is deep. ;D

Not sure about that but it seems there is a signal to the price of crypto get jump again. It will not always become a beariswh trend. If you are trying to cut loss and you will be lost a lot if that was coming back again to the roof. But this is my speculation in some days later we will see  a little jump to recover from this dump.

I'll be honest here. My portfolio is 40% down since Jan.
But the good news is I have taken out multiple times of my initial invested amount so literally I'm just losing my profits day by day. But that doesn't make me cool, I'm literally crying inside for not taking complete profits and reinvesting that now.

From 10th January nearly -90% Ö, from 10 February more than -50% ; (, but still from 1st December +1000% (but I cashout half of my bags).

I just don`t open Blockfolio during these days:)Everybody is waiting for big players and funds, which help market to increase after mid of April.

That's very true mate. My portfolio have gone down by more than 60% and I feel like BTC's bubble i getting burst but then I am still holding it since I know that these things keeps happening in crypto market. Besides that, the first quarter of the year goes in a significant decline. I am convincing my mind to believe this and still holding whatever I have got and will probably be holding it until BTC recovers it's price again.

All my cryptocurrencies dropped in the last three months but I didn't lose anything because I didn't sell.

I loss 45% from what i have when i start investing, you know what i do to deal with that ? i go gambling at some dice site for cryptocurrency, and i win. so i can recover my loss, this is not recomended thing to do cause you can lose all your money and the gambling it self not good and even ilegal in some country.

Now is not the time to panic. I think now is the time to be patient. It doesn't even matter how much in red.

But if you are asking from 1 year back its still on green zone but i am not sure if this continue or not.

my coins are also red up to 70%, if all your coins become all red, that means it's not the right time to sell. because you will experience a big loss. if the price drops, you have to hold it, and the time is right for you to buy, not sell.

Luckily I bought most of my bitcoin and altcoins already last year, so I am still in profit  :). The market nowadays is very volatile, so I am not buying anything until the price stabilizes a little bit.

Lolz. Kind of same situation after inevtsing my money into bitcoin and Ethereum when they were 10k and 950 USD respectively. Other coins are also badly down and it's better not to talk about them and how badly they have dropped in first place. I'm sure 99% people here are with the same answer as we all were so happy and invested at highest points of the all crypto currency. Who ever thought that crypto currencies will get dumped so badly after all that green investment.

However in such dramatic situation we must keep calm and I would to convey message to everyone who is reading this post that just keep your inevstment as it is. If we all start panicking and make sells then it will create even worst situation. So it's better we go hand in hand and make the whole situation go green.

i felt the same too,even for me it's already reached 84%,but we need to be patient,i think the price will get better and green again soon,maybe next month,this is quite shocking,but it takes time,the price will become stable again soon,just need to wait and don't sell your alts.

80% of my portfolio is on bitcoin so I think I don't lose much at all, I only lose on fiat value but it is only a paper loss so  don't worry too much about it. The tide will soon change and I believe this April will have a new tide.

Well I just bought more luckily with these cheap prices and wish I could have more capital. I know anytime these prices are going green again like it always was, going down but then rising again. People who knows this business are holding their coins and even investing more, so no worries.

Everyone's portfolio is in red but we are habitual about it and it will come in green again. It is a notional loss for us as we are not selling at this juncture, if we sell our portfolio now then it is a real loss otherwise it will recover and comes in green again.

I don't want to even think about that. What's the point? We all know it's a temporary thing. One time the red was caused by Mt. Gox bankruptcy trustee selling $400 million worth of Bitcoin, next time it was Google announcing plans to ban cryptocurrency advertising or whatever. Who cares? There is no doubt that all the good cryptos will resurrect from the ashes in due time. Why to bring ourselves down by calculating the "losses"?

Due to a recent ICO that is holding pretty well in this market, I am roughly breaking even. It's still pretty depressing to look at. Im optimistic about the future values, so i'm fine to just HODL.

You should not be so worried about the red market. The market will return in May-June at which you can take profit. You should not sell coin at this time please wait.

Most of my investments are in the red right now.  I haven't lost anything since I haven't sold in the red.

I do hodl one new coin right now that's in the green. 
Yesterday it was worth 12x(12 satoshi) my initial investment.  Today only 9x(9 satoshi).
I was lucky and got in at 1 sat!

it seems i am on burned side, but as i was busy offline with some other projects, i dont regret, but strongly advise to create a profit line for every investment and secure that profit before its too late, even though you may lose some more profits in future  :)

The only alts I am holding now is IGNIS and its down 80% from its price when it was listed in Bittrex. I sold my ETH, BNB, XRP and TRX for BTC 3 weeks before Chinese lunar new year as I expected price will go down prior to that event. ethereum purchased in january 2017. everything is green so far. I do not buy coins and token if the price is high. that does not bang a profit. we still have to wait with the buy. Why did not you sell your expensive tokens a few weeks ago? do you all have too much money? you sell high and buy low. why do not you do that?

45% loss because i stick with bitcoin lately that is why i am not having half losses,it would be just fine because the market will soon be recovered and im sure your losses wont be too much,do not do stupid things like panic selling because it will only worsen the market situation and you wont be helping at all.

Theres nothing left to call it a portfolio anymore but I would rather hodl to zero than selling it at the current prices. This downturn was expected as the price wasn't going to go up forever. If you believe in the coin you invested in than just sit back and relax and let the market stabilize.

In my portfolio some altcoins fell by 60-75%. Do you think that makes me upset? No, because I have three portfolios, and only one of them is a hodl one (it's around 50% of my funds). But I still have a pretty good performance at the trading one ;)

90% loss ,because i allocated 90% of my portfoli to these altcoins that is why i have lose a lot of money already,but i will keep holding these shitcoins until the market has recovered,giving back my losses i could have stick to bitcoin when i have the chance to i prevented this loss.What a shame too much manipulations in the bitcoin resulted too much bloodsheds.

I guess that everybody, who holds coins has the same feelings being in the similar situation. We cannot affect it doing something very special. Just patience and the greatest belief that always support currency will be the helpers here.

My portfolio is freaking affected. I hold tio since ICO. In first week it was 1.3-1.5 $ then decreased to 0.8 ,I bought more, then 0.4, I thought it is lowest point, but now it is 0.17 $. How do you like 85% of loss?

I am not moved by the bearish run because i know that there will soon be a bullish run very soon. I suggest you should not worry about how much the value of your invest is right now because this is part of the psychology of the market. It will rise in value very soon

I am a caring person with his money, so I often overlook Bitcoin going up too high. I only care about it when the market starts to go down; the down market is an opportunity for all investors. Watch the market and learn how to move and you will become richly surrendered.

Started buying two months ago and now at 60% loss. I'm a hodler and only invested the amount that I will be fine losing, so I'm not really panicked or in worry about the prices of my coins. All my coins have strong fundamentals and are going to give me big returns in the long term.

For me unrealized loss of 50%, but i have no intention to sell, as many are being shake off with this sentiment and cut loss their portfolio.
My strategy is to trade and accumulate as much BTC as when the sentiment reverse, BTC will be the first to recover and gain.
