what if the top 6 coins on marketcap is worth 1 trillion each by 2020? where would that put us at? is 10,000$ invested make us a millionaire yet? lets say new york turns into a blockchain city and chicago turns into blockchain city. they start investing we see coins in the trillion. this is where i see the market going. just thinking ahead and the future.

That would be great,but in order to have more than 6 trillion USD market cap,the number of people ,who use crypto in their every day purchases and trading has to increase 20 times.I can`t see how this can happen,with all the negative news,FUD and regulatory pressure.OP,what do you mean by "blockchain city"?
Do you want to all the electricity consumed by New York and Chcago to be used for crypto mining. ;D

If the top 6 coins are 1 trillion worth each, the total market cap will be 10-15 trillion dollars, which is 20% of the current world market cap.

If the top 6 coins became "worths a trillion earch by 2020" then we would all be rich because those that hold little unit of each of them will become a millionaire. Bitcoin should worth trillion in 2 years to come. I think we should buy now and become among the rich in future. Cryptocurrencies is the future and invest in it means investing into our future.

Wow if its gonna be happen it was really cool and inspiring to be more progressive in earning crpto coins.And I'm sure when 2020 will comes many bitcoiner will be millionaire.

Then I would say, start holding and investing during dips from now on. If people would be interested to and attracted by that assurance, for sure the time to reach that value will be sooner than we would expect. More people investing would drag the value faster and higher but in my opinion, I would prefer a growth that is based and due to development such as government implementation through stores and other businesses than just population dragging the prices up and down. Or else, many will lose a lot of their money.

It seems to me that to dream about such a sharp jump in such a short time is impossible. It's unrealistic. Now we see attempts by governments to legalize cryptocurrencies. Regulation in the cryptocurrency market can push away large capital from them and we will see the opposite effect. I do not see the potential for increasing the capitalization of all cryptocurrencies without exception.

That is an amazing prediction! If that would happen, how I wish, that would be the time I could achieve my dreams in life. I could live in a decent home, and travel the places I wanted. So, starting today, it is better to save our coins especially the bitcoin, for someday, who knows that will happen.

I think that a sharp rise will be very beneficial for the person holding the coin, I will definitely be in a position that will become a sudden millionaire by 2020, surely I strongly support this when your prediction comes true, but our duty and obligations that have coins should save it for the future, may be useful later.

That's huge, I'm not that good with Math about world's market cap but this seems to be a big deal when 6 coins will reach $1T for it's marketcap.

No. The sole reason Bitcoin has been growing significantly is because of regulations. Professional parties are being offered more freedom to enter this market due to all the regulations kicking in. No regulations will mean that crypto will always remain that niche market that has great future potential, but that potential will never be utilized as result. Crypto will become a completely new legal asset class that with a very high probability will surpass the main assets in the world in terms of value. Regulations are not an obstacle for crypto's growth, the lack of regulation is an obstacle. I don't understand why people still believe that regulations are a negative development, and that while Japan has proven everyone wrong on so many levels.

In general you are saying that major cities have started using the blockchain and thus what would be the net effect of the same on the crypto ? Obviously with this scenario in place we will have the legal stats for the bitcoin and all the altcoins. This means that crypto will be used primarily by almost every person in those cities and this will surely take the market to trillion dollar industry as you expected here. Now, the prices of the bitcoin are all dependent on various factors and one of which is how much it is worth by market means and how much backing it has got by means of the people that are into it. With this trillion dollar backing bitcoin would go 10x the current prices and same applied to other 5 coins which are in top 6.

If I say I doubt this projection for just about the next two years, it means I'm been pessimists which shouldn't be. If by 2020, this dream becomes real, Majorly or mostly all Bitcoin hodlers would become so reach that the world itself shall witness to us all and be regretting ever not joining us in the Cryptoworld  as at when due. We can at the same time imagine how happy we shall all be if those Developed Cities could adopt the Blockchain as proposed. Satoshi Nakomoto himself shall be happy wherever he is. Lols ;D

even bitcoin is not going to be worth $1 trillion ever let alone all the rest of the 5 useless altoins that are there. the biggest speculation for price of bitcoin is at $1 million and i haven't seen anything bigger so far. and that will require mass adoption.

also you are forgetting that the other 5 of the top 6 altcoins have a lot of issues for example ETH has unlimited supply, that means it will only go down in price over time (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supply_and_demand). same for XRP and also it is a centralized coin that nobody ever wants. LTC is a copy coin that has nothing original. BCH is a useless fork of bitcoin like the rest of the 30-40 forks.

I smell some whales remaining on that year would be deliberately dumping their stash of bitcoins in their old chests how could I say their reasoning this time? a whale will dump thousands of bitcoin worth trillions of dollars each because they panicked or they will say they just want to buy some pizzas worth of bitcoin kidding aside that would be the possible scenario if that would happening in 2020 but the current market condition and its surroundings, the possibility to achieve that state of price is nearly impossible for now even the 1 million prediction of McAfee have a minimal chance to achieve.

Nice may you get your entire dream come true and trust me it is possible only with the help of bitcoin, today if you will invest in bitcoin you will feel confident and secure. Bitcoin use to grow very high at every pump in price. Yeah. But I think the reason why people are just thinking about pumps and skyrocket is because other  people set their minds that from the value right now it can actually go above it. That keeps people interested to cryptos and if most of the people will think that it will have value less than a pizza then I think less people will be leaving it very soon taking all their investments that will also pull the market down.

Well pretty good to hear that massive increase in value. This is going to happen if everyone will support the use cryptocryptocurrency, Imagine if we invest huge amount today, Perhaps, by the time comes, there will be trillionaires  as a product of this new innovation.

I think...it is too optimistic future prediction. All this can only be possible if govt. declare it legal and encourage people to invest in it just like in mutual funds or stocks, otherwise, there is no possibility of such future. Yes, Blockchain tech can really be accepted with open hands and used in various sectors in New York, Chicago and other big business hubs in the world.

It is very unlikely that we are going to have such a distribution in the market cap of the coins, but if the market cap grew that much that will mean a market cap of 8 to 10 trillion dollars, that is huge compared to what we have now, that will be 30 times the size of the market, this means that an investment of 10000 will yield on average a profit of 300000 that will not be enough to make you millionaire but it will definitely set you in the right track and if you invested even more than that then you could get to your goal the only problem is that is very unlikely that we are going to reach such a huge market cap in such a short time frame.

Even just checking out that number or percentage I can say that this thing would really be an impossible thing unless if the whole world would considerate for crypto to be the mainstream or having already accepted globally without any restrictions but we do all know on what is the view of government towards crypto which I do see those things being mentioned on OP, are just totally "What if" things. Those are just wishes and hopes but chances for it to happen is too small or doesn't have any at all.

A trillion-dollar worth of 1 Ripple? Yeah, Ripple is on the top 6 cryptos and i strongly believe its price won't ever reach that high even in a couple of decades. Well, for your topic's sake, a 10K$ investment can make you a really rich man even if you invested only one of those top 6 cryptocurrencies.

Though New York and Chicago are crypto currency friendly state in the and alot of cryptoner will be millionaire if the top 6 coin clinch 1 trillion USD each but I don't see that happening now and before such will happen bitcoin would ave reach the 21million.

Why I said it won’t be possible is because  everyone will never be into cryptocurrency, cause not everyone is interested. Another reason is because there isn’t enough for everyone. I don’t think 21 million is enough.

The top 6 coins do have great potential that makes us rich. it looks like a ripple affiliated with a bank in the world that makes blockchain like not pure anymore, so many are predicting a less good ripple in its development

Such speculation is for me just science fiction and it can not happen in 2020,it's too early for that.If we look BTC market cap today it is between 110-120 billion dollars,so it should go up 9 times to hit 1 trillion(1,000,000,000,000 $),and if we roughly calculate there will be 17,000,000(today)+1,300,000 in next 2 years-so let's say 18,300,000 BTC.Price should be around 55 000$ per BTC to reach 1 trillion $.

Maybe this is possible for BTC,but for some other altcoins like BCH it is impossible since this coin is have same amount of total supply like BTC,and it should reach same price as BTC what looks like an impossible mission.

1trillion dollars seem to be a great speculation in coins! Just imagine what will happen if the price of the top 6 listed coins will move from 1B USD. The effect will result for a total loss of the cryptocurrency.
2020 is a near year and it cannot be reached easily. What happens now is not accurate to your prediction for 2020. But I am glad on how you expect in crypto.

It is a big impossible to happen that those top six coins worth trillion of each price. But I'm still hoping that someday there were price level that grows more than what we have been expected.

By 2020? I think that's a bit hard to achieve since the banks are vaging war against them and trying to control them .. no matter how small the scale is ..they are still doing it and it will take quite amount of time for the crypto world to get out of all this mess and create their own stand .

To be frank it will take around 10 years because now not only the banks are fighting it they are thinking if introducing new cryptos by themselves so they are just getting jealous and cautious in Advance .. more than 2 years is needed to dilute all this is what I think.

It is good to dream high but this one is far from reality. When we go for our objectives, it should be realistic. It is a reality that crypto currencies are being manipulated,  this will involve  whales in this agenda. Bitcoin is so volatile that it affects the value of all the altcoins below its umbrella. No doubt that bitcoin is the top crytpo currency of the world , but i think that in altcoin there will always be a close competition and i do not think that it is so easy to say that which four are the next top currencies, I think that still there are some altcoins which have a very good potential and which price can even cross the said limit. i think we should study the crypto market for choosing a good coin.

Top six coin would reach trillions for  2020?  maybe your raising the bar too much, because of competition among coins another competitors are the government sponsored fiat money these competition would dragged down prices of of cryptocurrency. Or unless we have one coins that would serve as the standard bearer of all cryptocurrency, like bitcoin. That every  ICO’s will be converted.

These numbers alone tells it all, this scenario is totally unlikely to become true. However, the world seems to have no limits to madness, so you cannot really ever be sure.

Volatility doesn't affect the long term price; current price proves that. The thing here is that you assume the market will stay as it is for ever, but that isn't the case. I don't think we're very far away from the point where current exchanges are severely decreased in number, but those that will remain will be heavily regulated and become similar to what stock markets are right now.

If the top 6 coins were worth that much then a lot of us who have coins now will be very rich by then because prices would just skyrocket with market values like that. Millionaires will be made in the thousands and those of us who are holding now will be very happy campers as we would have more money than we know what to do with.

That will be fine and it is our prayers for that to happen. I know a day will come that ripple, ethereum, bitcoin will be above one trillion dallars each and those day is not too far again. We are at the stage of accumulations and very soon we would start to distribute.

It could not happen in the year 2020 and it will never be, if we try to sum up, 6 Trillion for the top 6 coin and another 1 trillion for the rest of the coins and that will be 7 trillion approximate and that market cap value is way too high for the year 2020. Even an estimated guess of 1 trillion in year 2020 is too premature to achieve that value. Market correction will last for more than a year and it will slowly recover the year after 2020 but it will not skyrocketed, that is my wild guess and reasonable forecast.

I agree with some of your thoughts,if things sounds crazy this does not mean that it is not impossible to be realized in the future.Few years ago 1000$ per BTC seemed pretty crazy and price is only around 200-250$ for long time,people who say that price will be 10 000$ in 3 years were mostly exposed to ridicule.

There are not enough dollars for all bitcoins.I'm not talking about other coins that are issued without restrictions. Let's say they print more dollars. The peak is totally high and the coins you've said need a huge amount of cap in order to supply the people. Cryptocurrency will gone because it may cause an inflation/deflation specially if the purchasing power of the people becomes abnormal. Well if you'vr invested that much in those top six coins, easily you should be a millionnaire already. Though that's unlikely to happen, in the case that it does, you'll be fortunate to have the foresight to be investing in those coins

I think that this is likely to happen, since the main problem now is the scalability of crypto-exchange platforms and it's not very difficult to solve this problem and once this problem is solved we will see a sharp increase.

It was US$57.5 trillion in May 2008 and now some say it's $80 trillion and others say it's around $100 trillion, but okay, let's suppose $15 trillion is 20% of the total market capitalization of all publicly traded companies in the world today.
