Title: What causes Bitcoin to drop?
Post by: Fairy_90 on March 29, 2018, 09:16:37 AM
There are two key factors affecting Bitcoin, which have triggered a recent sellout. Bitcoin has never been relieved of its involvement in money laundering and terrorist financing, and that connection was once again referred to by IMF president Christine Lagarde as she urged home. Managers around the world attacked bitcoin for this reason. At present, Bitcoin is just going down, not completely broken down. The second offender behind the bitcon depreciation is causing more anxiety for investors. Google has followed Facebook in prohibiting pre-encoded ads and ICOs. Makes pre-coding lose value.
What is your opinion?

More to do with people needing to pay their taxes and not have some much exposure to a crypto currency.

I thought that the value of Bitcoin drop due to the hacking of bitcoin system? The hackers are still there on look out. But still bitcoins value changes from time to time so dropping or increasing is not really that big.

probably because almost all the crpypto ads in top apps like google, facebook, tweeeter and others will be blocked, maybe that's why bitcoin prices go down. hopefully things like this do not happen again. in addition not all countries accept bitcoin as a tool for transactions.

It is because of negative and fud news around the world and people with less knowledge and for the people who experienced some actual loss. Otherwise Bitcoin grows beyond our expectation over the years. And it will grow higher in the future.

The market dip is mainly caused by fud. Negative news all over the country and some governments tag along as posing regulations for bitcoins then website banning advertisement. The weak hands who hear all this negativity sell their coin even at a loss and the sharks continuosly buy the coins very cheap.

Some countries have taken all measures to remove crypto assets, viewing it as illegitimate activities. Even some social media have announced its ban on the cryptocurrency advertisement for ICO.

A day ago i've read some bad news two crypto exchanges in japan namely Mr Exchange and TokyoGateway are shutting down because of the tight regulation in the country. Mr Exchange seems to be operational but the TokyoGateway exchange seems to be down already. Some people in japan might've sell their coins because of the country's tighter regulations.

No there's no hacking going on. A lot of bad news are being dished out the past couple of weeks, big social websites are stopping crypto ads.

People always try to explain market moves, often its just a simple correction. We where at these price levels just a few months ago.

That was in February when we touched $6000 and everyone also faced the same panic of that event. Right now, the drop seems to be subtle and doesn't exhibit and likelihood to the one in February, so this might mean something more and not just your 'normal' correction. Apparently, the latest crash also contained a huge volume along the drop, so it is possible that some big hands are already cashing out and just watching the sidelines in the mean time. If the last $5500 support is broken, then there's a tendency for the price to plummet all the way down to $4000 or even $2500, the projected "bottom" of the pit.

well this drop is not a fatal drop as everyone is panicking because just in September it was around 4-5k and this correction is more than a normal thing, so the reasons are not affecting it too much I think.

Weak hands. There were too many of them, and when the planned dump went, they just started to jump out of the market, afraid to lose the last. In general, cryptorines are not about technical analysis and not about short-term inputs: one simply believes in it, but one believes in the head, understanding technology.

Today's price drop was caused by a large selloff but the market's sentiment was already in a bad mood so traders followed with further pressure instead of working towards a recovery. I don't think that a recovery back above $7000 seems likely at this point but perhaps some support so there's no further drop would be beneficial.

Up to which I came to the point is that in the previous year when the price of bitcoin started to increase than a large number of unskilled and inexperienced investors also invested in bitcoin and they do not know that fluctuations occurs in bitcoin and all crypto currencies all the time but the price then come to its recent high value and because of that when they saw the price decreasing then immediately started to withdraw their money no matter how much they lost and that practiced continued by all of the new inexperienced investors and now the price reached to a value where only the skilled and experienced investors have invested only.

I thought Japan was a bitcoin friendly space, i am not sure these regulations are hurting the traders, most probably it is difficult for someone to start an exchange that easily and i suppose they have to pay huge sums of money as collateral to run an exchange and they were not capable to raise that much money and so they are stopping the service, i think that is the case here. The price drop is really disappointing but i hope it will recover in a couple of months.

Twitter began blocking crypto ads on Tuesday 27th March 2018, as it became the latest internet giant to crack down on the digital assets, following on from the decision by Google and Facebook.
It will also ban adverts relating to cryptocurrency wallets, initial coin offerings (ICOs) and token sales globally.

This decision has triggered the price of bitcoin to plunge on Monday 26th March from $8,316.45 to $8,049.63, and other cryptocurrency reacted similarly to the news.

Still.. i personally feel its the best time to stock up our coins now. :)

I think the government is manipulating the bitcoin value right now because at early december of 2017 they saw the price of bitcoin skyrocket.

There are many reasons why bitcoin is dropping and may be one of the reason is due the anouncement of some influencial countries like india ang china not to support bitcoin.

The causes of bitcoin to drop it is because it is fluctuation and aside from that the price depends on the demand and it is not yet stable but we don't have to be worry because in bitcoin their is an assurance of all. I would rather rely in bitcoin because I can see a future in it.  Before I thought bitcoin is just an ordinary thing but as the time goes by it is an extra ordinary because it changes a life of a person. From nothing to have everything and can do what they want. As of today we all know their is a chances that the price will drop but we need to trust that it will raise. Bitcoin is a help in our community and economics.

When ICOs were banned in China at that time it effect the bitcoin price and we saw a sharp decline in bitcoin price, but later on the market recover its position, i think the ICOs banning may be effecting the bitcoin price a little, but this drop can be temporary and the market recover its potion very soon.  I think we are passing through this situation but we can expect that the bitcoin price will recover very soon.

it is a remarkable concern that the very high bitcoin price in 2017 then in 2018 is down considerably from what many people expect, so those who invest bitcoin deplore the current bitcoin prices. that is the fact that in investing no one can be sure whether to get big profits or maybe vice versa. the phenomenon of falling bitcoin prices in my opinion strongly influenced a government policy about the ban of bitcoin use of a particular country, in addition to negative news presented by the media about bitcoin which states that bitcoin vulnerable to a criminal activity such as terrorist financing and money laundering. that's why today's bitcoin prices are so falling.

There are a lot of factors to consider, Given the industry is volatile as it is. A lot of things happens such as the issues of countries that bans ICOs like China and Korea. It really creates confusion and panic to a lot of people, which in result they tend to sell their coins for the sake of preservation. Along with the issues surrounding the speculative Bans, is the rise of FUDs and/or fake news which makes the industry much more stressful and tiring. Then not to mention the unexpected events that already happen and might happen.

As far as I'm concerned, The unstableness of the industry became worst even reading the trend itself is quite deceiving. Though my strategies are still working as of the moment, I must adjust again to whatever could happen next to Bitcoin.

There are many derivatives through which Bitcoin is getting depreciated in price. The reasons you stated above might be true but they are not the only reasons for Bitcoin's depreciation. Bitcoin has been down now for more than 3 months and it needs multiple reasons for it to be down for such a long time. Obviously BTC is getting through a bad phase right now and only time can take us through this wave. We will have to wait until the things get settled for once.

I am not really sure about this thing but all I know is that the market value of a crypto such as bitcoin is dependent with the demand. Suc h that whatever is happening to the demand will be reflected to the market price of it. So maybe, the demand in the market is low at this moment, making the market value of Bitcoin to go down or to fall. Patience will really be the key on situations such as this.

In my opinion, which makes bitcoin prices go down, it's because many investors are panicking about bitcoin negative news, which is now quite a lot, and it makes investors sell their assets. because of the fear of getting, the greater the loss, the more investors who sell bitcoin, it will increasingly affect the bitcoin price continues to decline.

The current status of Bitcoin is influenced by a number of factors, however, in my opinion, the virtual currency deal is being discussed directly. Many governments intervene in this, causing investors' confidence to go down. The attractiveness as well as the popularity of bitcoin decreased, causing bitcoin prices to fall. A lot of factors can affect the price of bitcoin and actually cause the prices to drop. FUDs are one way that prices drop because some people see negative news online and do not bother to check to authenticate these so called news and they end up panicking and selling, dumping coins into the market. Another one is an imbalance between supply and demand and if supply surpasses demand then prices go down which is what is happening to the market now.

Bitcoin price fall is not solely caused by the use of bitcoin by criminals or having it use for illegal transactions in the dark market, what determine bitcoin price are so numerous but let me state a few of them. Bitcoin operate on demands and supply and what ever that can effect the flows of it demands can effect it price, and again banning of bitcoin by big cooperation's can lead to low demands for bitcoin which can result in price fall.

I thought that the value of Bitcoin drop due to the hacking of bitcoin system? The hackers are still there on look out. But still bitcoins value changes from time to time so dropping or increasing is not really that big.
There are many reasons behind this. First reason is government decision .when a government of a country ban bitcoin in their country the international market price of Bitcoin is also fall. :P Many government ban bitcoin in their country because of Bitcoin decentralised nature and its involvement with criminal activity. Another main reason behind this price falling agenda is media. Many media talk about Bitcoin negatives and this thing affect people trust in Bitcoin. And ultimately results the price of Bitcoin is fall.  When the financial services agency suspend the crypto currency exchange in a country then the price of Bitcoin is fallen.  :-[

What is your opinion?

The main reason responsible for affecting the value of Bitcoin is demand and supply factors. The demand of Bitcoin is currently low therefore; its prices are also low. The social media platforms are banning cryptocurrency ads, which is creating anxiety among the investors. The negative and fake news about it all over the world is also a major reason for its falling prices.

Supply surpasses demand and if there is not enough people buying bitcoin to balance out the supply then bitcoin value goes down and people panic and dump even more coins into the market.

The obvious reasons for the declining stage of Bitcoin are that the governments are holding a negative view about this cryptocurrency. Some say that they will be banning Bitcoin; however no country has still banned it except China. But the fear of this thing is enough to cause the users to sell their currency. Also, the price of Bitcoin is quite high for a common man to afford. But this is just a natural phase, which will soon be over.

There are lots of reason why the market value of bitcoin drops down.
One of these are the political changes through the new laws and the international relationship of different countries in the whole world. Another thing is the demand they received in their services which is very elastic.

There have been a lot of negative news about bitcoin over the past few months. Which has caused the price to drop significantly. But, it didn't drop as low as some people had expected. It is because, bitcoin has been getting a lot of attention all around the globe and more and more people have been investing in bitcoin, which has caused the price to remain stable.

Usualy the causes if the drops of bitcoin is because of some people who want to cash out there money or convert it into altcoins of fiat money. The other cause also is a bad news in all around the world like hacking, banning crypto in some countrys and some also because of some whales dump there coins.

not just bitcoin currencies that could decline, even fiat currencies controlled by a local institution and also have a central could fall. although bitcoin fluctuations move rapidly, bitcoin is believed can resistant to all aspects of negative influences. so that even if the bitcoin value falls, but the bitcoin value will bouncing to the high value.

I will not comment much about the factors that affect the value of bitcoin fall, but the most influential is the rejection of bitcoin from some who do not like bitcoin.

But today better we revised about this topic to WHAT CAUSES BITCOIN GROWS because the issue now is the growth of this crypto coin..that laundering and terrorist accusations will never gone since thats the negative issues about bitcoin that make this community more popular, and now were again pumping and looking for more of this for the next weeks

The price of Bitcoin is determined by many factors which can be categorized into intrinsic and extrinsic. The intrinsic can be the whole ideology behind bitcoin which creates the demand thereby giving it a value. Once this intrinsic factor is tarnished perhaps by the false accusations from governments and banks (extrinsic), it puts fear in the people thereby warding off investors, hence limiting its demand on the market.
As bullish and advocates of cryptocurrency, it is our duty to also protect the legacy of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in whatever means we can.

There are lot of reasons why the price if Bitcoin drops. But it is the supply which is greater than the demand. So they don't have a choice but to sell Bitcoin in the lower price because less people buy Bitcoin. So we need to support Bitcoin in order for the price to go up again.

Bitcoin whales certainly have a factor contributing to the decrease in the price of bitcoins as they control most of the market due to the law of supply and demand. If they increase the supply by selling most of their coins, they would be able to manipulate the demand, thus lowering its price. You do also need to consider that government prohibitions among hegemonic countries affect the price of bitcoins to a certain degree. Lastly, media hypes the bitcoin over but it also influences most new and old investors to diversify their investments into different altcoins, which in return, affects the price.

Yes,panic sell is the main reason for the price fall in bitcoin and investors are just trapped by the whales in this case they want to make the bitcoin price lower so they will initiate the price g=fall by selling decent amount pf bitcoin which causes the pnic resulted in huge fall then the later whales will buy the bitcoins at the lower price.

What does that even mean?  Are you a kind of a frustrated bitcoin investor who lost a lot of money because of its volatility? If you look closely at how profitable bitcoin tahn gold even in a situations where the market is falling , if you just know how to play with the market fluctuations. I'm sure that some people might have done it, but the media always likes to exaggerate everything related to Bitcoin. How often do you see the mainstream media report about how especially in Asia, people lose their entire mortgage loan on the stock markets there? I don't ever get to read or see anything about it in the media here, and that while the amount of money that people lost there is in the trillions.

The mainstream media sources are mostly all part of a main company listed on whatever stock exchange, so they don't bother to report about it because it would only work against them. People taking out mortgage loans will help them boast their stock value in the end. To add; more than half of the stock market is bought up with debt, which is quite worrying development. I don’t understand why some people give such nonsense statements to devalue bitcoin in the market and want people to withdraw their money from bitcoin. Some illiterate people believe in such statements and sell their bitcoin no matter what the price is and when the investment cap decreases the price will automatically decrease.

Many market factors are involved and involve in the alteration of market value while some goes directly and some goes inversely. The major factor is the demand factor which controls the value of Bitcoin directly, as we know that the current market tells us that the main reason for the low market value is the low market demand. In this low market investments are taking place in large extent these days which will soon shift the market and all we need is to invest now as much as we are able to.

There are some causes which bring decrease or reduce the Bitcoin on value bases. The major factor or cause for its reducing power in value is the demand of people, if people response good and normal then the value will not drop while the value will drop if the response of people is not favorable. The demand factor is further controlling by the negative and positive news, if we spread the Bitcoin positively then the result will be positive and vice versa.

You can't get rid of bad news, or price fluctuations. There are to many people that wish to be traders, now try to picture all that traders that wish to buy and sell bitcoins all the time for making some profit. Bigger groups knows how to spin news, how to make masses to sell in panic. Dropping and rising is the normal on any market, especially new market like crypto is, new and fresh blood is coming all the time and old sharks use that. Most of us small players can just watch and try to earn too, little by little, who ever wish to be greedy will be eaten by large fishes very fast.
Who have troubles with trading should just buy and hold, I don't have other advice for people who don't like price fluctuations.

which causes bitcoin prices to fall is a issue of negative issues in the news. and lack of supply and demand. this is what causes bitcoin prices to fall. but you do not need to panic because it will be back to stable again.
You have mixed up something there. You said lack of supply and demand, but actually drops are caused by lack of demand and more of supply and in that case a lot of people just want to get out than those who want to get in.

We had a huge hype last year, and I guess this is the post effect of such that we apparently would not have been able to run away from. It will get to the point where a lot of people will start looking for ways to get back into position when there is a glaring move of an uptrend, but for now, we just stay with what we are seeing.

Much of the recent dip in the price of bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies have been related to policies or regulations by government aimed at putting a close lid on it plus negative reportage by the media. It is hard to think that government are not involved with price manipulation deals, because it suits them when the value of bitcoins drops

because the bitcoin is very sensitive to the issue of negative issues about bitcoin. but with this huge price drop but it will come back again and you all also never sell bitcoin because panic with the price drop
It is for sure for the market to get back up again and start a normal proper trend to the upper side when it is ready but we all sure do know now is not the time. The drop was inevitable right from the onset the FOMO started last year and it was sure expected.

How low we are going to get is what no one actually knows now and the only thing we can of course do is to keep watching the trend to see how things would turn out eventually but for now, nothing is certain yet. There could be hundreds of reasons which made prices to drop from $20k to current levels but all the hassles will vanish in near future as bitcoin's future is still believed as a brighter one.

The market is always depending on the demand and supply so if you are interested on earning a huge amount of profit then the best thing to do is just wait for the price to increase even more before selling your coins.
