Crypto currencies will, according to me, definitively  be here for future, maybe not the BTC or another one, but the way it works will last... Bankers need to change the way they work and future of them is the lending of crypto... if they follow only Fiat, they will lose.

Now it’s the time to decide wich crypto will be the most important.
Maybe BTC to pay houses and cars and BCH to pay coffee and bred ... and Monero to escape from IRS  ;D

You need to find out which crypto information in the whitepaper needs to track that team to follow their correct roadmap. Their results will affect the price of the crypto

rate it for what because your goal makes the whole process very different!
for example if you want to make profit from an altcoin then this "rating" is based on the volume and pump-ability of that altcoin which may also be reflected in the size of the orderbook and the exchanges it is being traded at.
but if it is the potential for being used as a currency then you have to begin to become more technical about it. start from the whitepaper of it then follow up with testing the wallet and sending some coins. check out the features that it has and whether there is real demand for those feature.

Great and a very Interesting Question to Answer right now. Best Crypot-currency to invest right now is one of the most demanding topic right now people are searching for, as the “Bit Coin” is at its best from last 3–4 Months.

But it is really Important to invest in a Crypto-currency which should have the potential to rise in the market. A good Crypto-currency can make your investment 3–4 times in a blink very easily now a days but your choice should be the right one.

whitepaper, team, and roadmap is the most important thing to watch for a cryptocurrency, this term will bring how those project will gain its success.
because, most of the cryptocurrency right now is only build for a momentary thing and without a goal for future. so they just used what trending right now to gain an interest

you should analyze crypto from all aspects, from charts, from internal and external influences, as well as from growth in the market.

everyone wants to choose crypto that has good growth, but it's not easy. because the crypto character is difficult to predict, especially the new crypto growth.

so, i think you must choose crypto that has plan in the future, you can see it in coin market, if coin you choose is stable, even go up when correction, then that is a good coin.

Maybe I misunderstood your question, but potential is what something can deliver or reach in the future and not how much users it has today. The potential for crypto currencies if of course very huge, because people are tired of the fiat money and banking system as we lose the value of our money every year by inflation.

Since I started, I noticed that the features were all the same. The onky difference is that how this project ia being developed and hoq dora the market respond to the offered project. The main factor on this project is the development team, they have something to say about the project. If the is not actively working on it, basically it will fall down and becime useless just like any other project.

I used to see the coin rating of products that can be produced, used and in the production of the coin and depending on the total supply there is less total supply and have a good product then the coin could potentially be a very expensive coin.

I think I look after it in the way it has been evolved. The innovative idea of blockchain programming, then formation of smart platforms over it with currency like bitcoin and then giving revolutionary chance for the different small and big companies to evolve more on it.

I think I rate it excellent according to all these characters and evolutions it got itself in very short period of time. It feels good to see how human resources are making the alarming changes in the information technology (well technically).

The potential of crypto is evaluated primarily by the transaction demand as well as the transaction volume of the crypto. Most of the potential crypto have very high daily trading volumes listed on large exchange floors such as Binance, OKEx, Coinbene, Houbi, Bitfinex. It is my experience in identifying potential crypto.

If to consider cryptocurrency as the tool for investments and for stable earnings, then it isn't so simple to make it. Situauiya in this market is extremely not stable. Just 7-8 months ago the market it submitted new heights, almost in the very bottom now. This market is unpredictable. You don't know what can happen to him tomorrow.

Nice question. Alot of factors are meant to be considered when determining the potential of a particular cryptocurrency.
1. The idea behind the project i.e what is the use of the project and what is it trying to do.
2. The team and reputation behind the project i.e their past record, experience and achievement in some niches that can eventually lead to the success of the project at hand.
3. The community bebind it: if a project is solid, it is certain alot of crypto enthusiasts will surely wanna be part and relate with it, so this is very important.
There are some other points like the advisors , legal backing e.t.c that also determines the potential of a cryptocurrency and you can gather all this info from the project's website and whitepaper.
I hope this answer of mine will be helpful

There is a law call Melcafe law about the network, basically the more people in the network, the more value that network.
In the case of Cryptos, I believe there are more and more people joining everyday (because of promised big money return mostly), which makes the network of cryptos bigger and bigger, thus the value.
In short, my opinion is cryptos will have its bright future.

I think that the prospects of the crypto-currency market are just starting to emerge, this is just the beginning of the road. I think I will not be mistaken if I say that, first of all, many people are interested in the opportunity to earn money. Well, the fact that many projects, if they realize their potential, will enable humanity to enter a qualitatively new level of development. One can only guess at the development of the digital world at the peak of its development, when there will be no unscrupulous developers. But the fact that those few projects that are now going to their goal and conscientiously fulfill their obligations towards investors and are completely devoted to the idea of their company - will repeat the overwhelming success and growth of Bitcoin.

Identify a good investment for crypto currency is not very difficult. First you need to study the white paper of the project. Secondly, to see if this crypto currency is in demand among people.

Is a combination of several things, if you are interested in trading, whether you buy, sell or trade, you have to look at the volume, especially the volume of the last 3 days and be aware of the movements I make, it is very important to detect dumps or pumps and be able to use the necessary market strategy, now if you are interested in technology and want to know if the crypto is going well set the roadmap and the whitepaper, they have to be fulfilling the promises they made and everything should go smoothly.

I very much agree with you. Its all about analysis and techniques and knowing when to spot pumps and dumps and for some of these things this forum is the best place to start and then continue on.

How do rate the potential of a cyptocurrency? By number of people using it or the features or... ?
In my case, i do base the potential of a crypto or coin in its market populatity. If a crypto is popular, the demand in it would be high which is an important aspect on determining the price of a crypto. High demand would result to high potential of having a higher market value in the future, making it a good crypto to hold for years.

For me as i rate the potential of the cryptocurrency i think both by the number of people using it and the features of it. First for the number of people using it as we can see right now the total number of people that are investing in the cryptocurrency is increasing simply because of its potential to help and to gain income even to manage our money. Second the features of it there's a lot of people are interested in to cryptocurrency it helps you to gain more attention by managing and planning to our future for the investors to grow and to have a brighter future.

This is very difficult to do. On paper, you can write anything, but you need to understand that it's not always possible to write what you write. Pay attention to the behavior of the team as they communicate with potential investors and what they promise.

Did you have an evaluation of the potential of the ICO project? If this is the case, then potential ICO assessments will have some factors, from the whitepaper, community, Token sale, purpose, as well as the ICO plan for the next five years. These are the criteria to assess whether the ICO project has the potential to be worth the investment.

Investors have their own standards on choosing a crypto and making assumption of a coin's potential. Some people do base on the market value of a crypto upon being listed in different exchanger whether it is below ico price or not. On the other hand, some people do base on the market popularity of a crypto which I think, both are reasonable.

If a crypto is popular in the market, surely, potential is huge. Popularity is an important aspect for a crypto to succeed because it would catch the attention of people to invest or use a particular token for its advantages. As such, demand will increase as well as the market value of it which would give profit to the users as the market value grows. Therefore, popularity may determine whether a crypto would be bigger in the future or not.

I believe that the main way to rate a new crypto or an ICO is to see how useful it is in the real world, if the token or coin that they will launch out has any use either in some web page they are designing or is used as a fee for some contracts, you can also look at the community feeling and what they think of the currency, that will give you a good indication of their current state.

I think the concept and technological innovation of a project is the first thing that can support the development of the project. This is because having more benefits from a project will bring many investors who join and the project will develop. All that can be seen from white paper. In addition, the experience of the development team is the other supporting capacity.

Even if some of the crypto projects turn out as successful as Apple you
still have to pick the right cryptocurrencies in order to profit from this
opportunity. You will lose 99 % of your investment if you get stuck
with "dead coins" that have no community or development.
It is likely that most projects in the cryptocurrency scene will end
up exactly in this category of dead coins.

It is probably better to stick with the coins and projects that either do something
very unique or have been around for several years and have proven that they
have a dedicated community.

Any serious crypto ICO project should have a blue print. An d this information detailed enough as to tell you the reason the coin is created and the problem(s) it wishes to solve is often the "whitepaper". The next thing a potentially investible ICO project should have is a website convincing enough. I believe when you see a good website, you will know one.
After carefully studying the whitepaper which must be detailed enough, and you are satisfied, and have strong reasons to fill that such a project is feasible enough to make a successful execution in future, you may then decide to invest. But don't forget that most projects definitely need time. Originally crypto was meant to be an anonymous but this days, some coins have information about its creators. This can also be a confidence injector.
This is how it is supposed to be. But sadly, the infidelity and greed of people venturing into the crypto space has made crypto and ICOs a caricature of their original plan, and the fault of this is the open source ethereum protocol. Because any body can create a coin, the whole coin market is flooded with empty and criminal projects and investors are constantly exposed to potential threat of loosing their money.
If you want to invest, please endeavour to do a detailed review about the ICO, this is your responsibility.

Potential means power , and power can be by many ways .
Here in my opinion the cryptocurrency can be said more powerful if it has bulk amount of investors and trusty .
I mean here we can take example of the bitcoin , bitcoin is a very old coin , and people knows more about it and also they know that it is a coin which has better technology algorithm then any another , so people have full result with this coin and as its Market is much stable that why people have much investment with this coin then with another one .
So here bitcoin having big number 1 position in the cryptocurrency then any another ,coin .
At the second number , the perfect coin is etherium which has better buy support and better trsut with the people .
Hope you understand this type of the pot potential of the coins that how we can see .
But in the present time people mostly refer to the potential for a coin , like , if the coin have big volume in 24 hours then surely the coin is having better potential and vice Versa .

I would rate it at an eighty percent potential to do great. It is a revoluntionary technology but like any other technology there is always the margin of error and the possibility of it failing so I always have that in mind. It is the currency of the future and if properly maintained and handled can be integrated into so many sectors to make them better

I am new to this industry but am really interested to know more about it.
How do rate the potential of a cyptocurrency? By number of people using it or the features or... ?
For a newcomer to the Crypto market, you should read a book on blockchain technology to better understand how the top altcoins have a technological foundation. This is the basis for you to evaluate a potential altcoin or not.

Technological innovations and the low price of altcoin are for me the factors that influence my choice to invest. The scaling value for altcoin also affects my choice.

I look at the potential of a coin according to its capabilities, because popularity does not always help to make the right choice!
