Title: What is going on in the market?
Post by: Pumperdumper on May 04, 2018, 08:32:10 PM
Hello everyone - I don't usually put up posts, but I was curious on what everyone is seeing for this recent market upswing.

This is the second time in the last 4 months we've gone from 250bn market cap to over 400bn. Very much a yo-yo effect.

We've seen the market press hype cool down - so what is causing the market to go back up? If you could all please post some real world news that would be much appreciated. Doesn't have to be news from a news source - could be numbers from block explorers, investment news, just something that can be tied down to a FIAT value being put into crypto.

For me (a little bit of a conspiracy theorist)

USD Tether gains FIAT value in Q3 to Q4 of 2017 -> Moves FIAT value to Noble Bank -> "Legitimizes" USD Tether

BitConnect crisis occurs -> Loss of investor confidence -> Lack of market liquidity -> Correction

SEC opens with somewhat positive remarks to crypto as a whole -> Focus specifically on ICO scams

Discovery of Mt. Gox trustee -> Rumors spread -> Investor confidence drops further causing further slide

USD Tether media cools off -> USD Tether prints off more tokens beginning of April -> Stabilizes investor confidence

Stable coins begin emerging post USD Tether -> Markets keep resurfacing throughout April

May 7th SEC supposed to rule on Ethereum and XRP on whether they are securities (https://www.ethnews.com/sec-cftc-to-discuss-possible-securities-classification-of-ether-other-cryptocurrencies) -> Market effect ?????

ICO fraud rumors (https://medium.com/@douglaslyons/ldj-capital-all-that-glitters-is-not-gold-ccbfc21ffd71) -> Market effect ?????

I can provide links for any of those events - I just didn't want to spam links. It would be interesting to see if anyone can find info of "new" FIAT money going into Crypto which would give evidence of a bull market - especially if it is found from institutional sources. The opposite as well - if anyone has insights into how this could be a bull trap, that would be awesome to read.

As I said, goal is to pool together everyone's reading material for better clarity on current market events.

Please post your mother will die.

In my opinion, sentiment, unlike the last two times, is changing. Institutional money is never really interested in catching falling daggers, so they just let coins bleed out without participating at all... noobs from the run-up in December-January who fomo'd switch to full FUD and through despair sent us through a capitulation period.  Institutional money then around 250-270 billion market cap started its accumulation phase after the last little bit of 200 day death cross was less severe than expected. Now that the bottom was found, and institutional money propped us up along with experienced people got their bags loaded with their favorite alts, its time for noobs to eventually step back in and really fomo this thing up to previous highs and eventually a market cap above 1 trillion by the end of the year.  One thing noobs never really understand is big whales make more money in smaller position trades over letting the market run .. everyone has their role to play.. the institutional money supporting or dumping and not participating, the whales looking for key areas to accumulate and dump to start it over, the smarter older fish who swim with whales as to not get eaten, and the classic noobies who fear missing out and panic.  Some of your things like SEC news, Mt Gox, and BitConnect have their role to play in this process, but I think its more of an institutional money creating an opportunity for a swing trade off of this over anyone really being scared.

May 7th SEC supposed to rule on Ethereum and XRP on whether they are securities (https://www.ethnews.com/sec-cftc-to-discuss-possible-securities-classification-of-ether-other-cryptocurrencies) -> Market effect ?????

This, however, is a bit concerning.. but you'll likely know beforehand as the market reacts.. stuff like this will almost certainly be leaked and you'll see people in the know react accordingly. I have a hard time seeing how ETH as a security though... XRP can go to zero.. so I'm not concerned there.

Good points - and thank you for adding to the conversation.

One thing noted this week was Eth strong lead over the top 5 coins amid rumors of the SEC ruling (to me it says it won't put it down as a securities)

One thing that is also weird among this up trend from the market is the low daily volume. Today we're sitting at 27mil compared to 40mil early April when market was 250bn as you said. So we could see this yo-yo effect keep happening if the institutional investors as you mentioned don't buy into the FOMO / FUD and buy at their own price as the market crawls back.

You can see that the market in recent days has reduced the number of transactions and all are waiting to see the static bitcoin. It can be seen that today's bitcoin price has shown signs of a spike when the moment has reached $ 9800 and still showing signs of slowing down. For technical analysis, bitcoin prices are showing divergence, indicating that buying is decreasing and selling pressure is increasing, so you need to be very careful when trading.

Thank you for that advice.

Post January 5th our "strategy" was to purchase around 270-300bn (market cap) if it ever dipped to that level. Thankfully we stocked up twice over.

Speaking of your signs of slowing down - today it hasn't been able to move past 458bn cap. Eth at 788/unit and Btc at 9750/unit according to CMC.

When we first bought - Eth was 380 and Btc in the 6,700 range. By now - Eth has doubled and volume has slowed down.

We have yet to see what the Chinese market will do as it is just now waking up.

My gut feeling says that it will go up slightly further - once volume increases around the 35 - 38m / 24hr range, big bag holders will start to sell in mass unless something in the news sparks it one way or the other.

Ethereum SEC meeting was complete FUD

No schedule anywhere of the time. Also being confirmed by multiple people on Twitter and some Analysts.

can't say this is a complete fud, some fundamentals never change, buy if eth is going down irrespective of the decision from sec, but I think this is actually a serious issue.

To me i think that the market is currently tradin gin a good mood. I  am sure that this will continue for a long time, because we are not expecting any wrong news in bitocin market for some time. i am hopeful that for next few months the market will remain as positive and we will see a very good increase in bitcoin price.

I have been following the price of currency for quite some time now and one thing that I have find out is that currencies price do react to the news and international events more than any things and if you can analyze financial data and news that do come into the market you can easily predict the directions of price to some level of accuracy.  We are expecting to get some news that is going to push the market upwards some days to come.

Nothing harsh is going with Bitcoin and other crypto currencies because this is just a joke now that Bitcoin or other crypto will end forever. The price and survival of Bitcoin has shown that it is living and will keep going on in the future for some more fast features that will attract the people more towards itself. The graph of Bitcoin to its demand is increasing and that is what we want for our future profit.

can't say this is a complete fud, some fundamentals never change, buy if eth is going down irrespective of the decision from sec, but I think this is actually a serious issue.

The ability to scale will be an issue and it will show in price down the road IF they cannot solve the issue.

Lightning Network has made strides - but yet to be seen. Ethereum has 4-5 different options from Raiden to Sharding.

The big surprise lately has been Bcash.

Averaging 10-20% gains last 3 days or so. Impressive come back.

Volume has receded back to the mid 20's (millions) - seems that more dumping will be on the way.

3 Scenarios to look for

1 - Prices steadily drop, week over week. Would indicate a very long bear market if BTC falls below 9k, ETH under 700 and BCH under 1,300.

2 - Prices drop this week and pick back up next week - BTC hovers slightly above 9k, ETH slight above 700 and BCH slightly above 1,300.

3 - Prices spike back mid-week and keep going past the 500bn market cap - BTC gets stuck at 9.2-9.3k for a couple days, ETH 720-730 and BCH 1,400-1,500.

24 hour volumes are incredibly important to note on all three scenarios. Let's all keep in mind that there has been no good news as of late. So whatever money is coming back into crypto is most likely money that left in January. The market as a whole requires newer investors with deeper pockets. For that to happen - there needs to be some measurable progress being displayed in the media.

In the past few days, the price of bitcoin has been steadily decreasing and bitcoin decreases rapidly causing the market and investors to panic and fear. Fear of altcoin also reduced, the capitalization of the market is beginning to decline slightly and there are adjustments. I believe that the market is in crisis so you have to be very careful when dealing to trnahs losses can happen.

The thing is that nowadays deep pockets no longer enter the market through the regular channels, but purely focus on private (OTC) transactions where they aren't subject to incompetent exchanges and all their silly regulations. While most of the regular crypto traders don't bother to learn from past events, where they keep using current exchanges, professional and other large scale investors try to stay away from these exchanges as much as possible. The thing here is that OTC transactions and on-exchange transactions are completely different, and for that reason don't mirror each other in value and volumes. I think that it's safe to say that OTC volumes have surpassed the trading volumes of exchanges, but these exchanges still dictate the rates. It would be good to have it balance out somehow, but that's not something I see happen any time soon....

That is true.

Is there any way to track OTC transactions?

People are spreading rumors that BCH is hard forking on the 15th of May - I was under the impression it was a soft fork by majority agreement and that there wasn't going to be a completely separate token as a result of the fork??

Can anyone else verify this? Searched for a while and found a couple weak authority confirmations.

What all that recent developments show for me is that this emerging crypto market has come to stay. Despite all that negative news and events yet the market still bounces back. And bitcoin has continued to maintain dominance as the crypto pathfinder that it is. I am not in anyway scared.

Valid point.

I made this thread to try and crowd source market movements and possible explanations behind them.  Similar to historical book keeping but for crypto as a whole.

The hope is to investigate market news after price reactions.

The negativity from the media only csuses temporarily drop in prices, nothing more. There would come a time when all these wouldn't matter so much as people are already getting used to it. But If there's one thing I'm sure of, It's the fact that the market will always bounce back regardless of whatever is thrown at it. The prices should be up any moment from now.

Some are commenting that the recent price hike was due to the conferences being held in various places and upcoming conferences.

"In addition, Lee pointed out that the 2018 conference (marking the fourth year of the event), scheduled to kick off in New York City on May 14, is expected to pull in a crowd of roughly 7,000 (as compared to last year’s 2750-strong crowd) – previously, when attendance increased, Bitcoin jumped by 69% during the conference, and 138% in the months following the event."

Today's market is not very fluctuating, bitcoin prices have recovered $ 400 after falling to the previous threshold of $ 8900. Although the price of bitcoin has risen, the price of altcoin remains unchanged, suggesting that external capital flows into bitcoins and you may believe that altcoin prices in the coming days will increase.

I haven't noticed much of a change for the better. Only see that the rate does not recover to the point where it was worth 19000. I think I don't see anything good yet.
The price is better now than a few months ago so wait a little more and be in patience. The price is now increasing in value and you will see in the next month that the price will be directed to the value of $19000. It will reach to that value in the month of June because many speculators expected that month so in that month many investors will follow and will put their money in that.

In the past few days, there has been a very strong recovery in the market, and you can see that the prices of bitcoin and altcoin are rising steadily and there are no signs of stopping. Market capitalization has been steadily rising and now exceeds $ 400 billion. So I believe the crypto market will recover very strongly and will grow beyond 2017.

You can see that bitcoin has dropped sharply, down to $ 300 in just 30 minutes, which has prompted the market to fall into a recession, the price of all altcoins dropping dramatically. and is currently down sharply. The market is covered by a red color. According to my analysis, the bitcoin price will move sideways at $ 9000 today and the altcoin will probably recover, the market is moving very bad so you should not out and should not trade at this time. .

Hey guys! Thank you for all the great input!

Had to work today for my moneys so didn't have much time to post :p

Market is still heading south.

Very difficult to tell where it is going. $10 Billion drop in market cap in about an hour and a half. Volume is $22 million so it has dropped quite a bit.

Are we seeing a lack of liquidity come into play?

Did you guys see anything in the news? I know there were a couple conferences wrapping up this week in New York City - also one thing to note is that the Mt. Gox trustee moved some coins from cold storage so could we be seeing others selling off inventory expecting sells this weekend?

The ticker got longer by another centimeter from the time I started typing this post :P

Morning or afternoon guys!

Market is slightly picking up.

Eth went from 680 to 689 in 5 minutes.

Should be interesting to keep an eye on. Might be a green week next week.

Also - did not know this, but Goldman Sachs is getting more involved in crypto - check out the graph they show. This would explain why people who wanted to sell did so this week.

https://qz.com/1274437/bitcoin-prices-arent-reacting-to-wall-streets-plans-to-enter-the-market/

Also - another thing to note is that the market cap has gone from 413bn yesterday to 389bn today with a difference of about 14 hours in between the price changes. Seeing an increase of activity on Binance on both sell and buy sides and this can be seen by volume going up from 22ml to 31ml today. Lot's of selling occurred and now we're seeing a bit more buying.

EDIT:

OH SHIT EVERYONE!!!!

Check out any of the USDT marketplace graphs on Binance (or anywhere else for that matter)

And switch to the 1 day ticker. Hopefully this image upload works - if you look at the end of the 1 day tickers, you see the negatives are starting to expand - anyone else thinking this is a bull trap???

It may be due to the sec, more broadly regulations and that will last for this year and maybe the next year because unless the market is regulated well, it can't go to hands of all people.

More news coming out talking about crypto conferences giving prices a boost.

Little known article about Zimbabwe ban on crypto exchange relations with banks.

https://themerkle.com/zimbabwe-bans-commercial-banks-from-processing-crypto-transactions/

The reason I find this interesting is because Zimbabwe registered some of the highest priced BTC trades last year if I remember correctly.

https://www.newsday.co.zw/2017/12/bitcoin-price-breaches-30-000/

Now the reason why it is 30k is because it's low liquidity and there are active P2P sales occurring in Zimbabwe - however, if you look at the dates, that exchange posted grew 3x in about 30 days.

"In terms of volumes, over the 30-day period, Golix reported that 118,6867 bitcoins had been transacted on the exchanges, translating to $3,707,203,995 having been transacted, an improvement from $1 million at the start of last month.

In a 24-hour period, Golix reported that the volumes transacted was 1,7006 in bitcoin for $53,109,738."

This article by Quartz goes on to argue that Golix exchange has low liquidity but is from a month earlier - prior to the big kahoona.

https://qz.com/1130147/bitcoins-price-in-zimbabwe-is-not-actually-13000/

Other articles talking about the price disparity (Oct - Dec 2017)

https://www.ccn.com/bitcoin-price-climbs-12400-zimbabwe/

https://qz.com/1109470/bitcoin-highest-price-is-in-zimbabwe-due-to-a-forex-shortage/

https://www.cnn.com/2017/10/31/africa/zimbabwe-bitcoin-surge/index.html

Why is this important?

Personally I believe these price outliers are important for the industry and for growth. When people see the arbitrage opportunity they are willing to take a risk and move money even if it means there is danger of low liquidity.

People lose money - a few gain it, but it's moved into new areas. This ban on banks interacting with exchanges might have positive impacts on BTC price. We also need to bring back the kimchi premium.

EDIT: something else to keep an eye on

....... led many supposed experts to try to justify every bitcoin movement with arguments often ridiculous, as I remember that many even justified the fall of bitcoin earlier this year for the celebrations of the Chinese New Year!

Off course demand amounts to effect of pricing. If the demand is low, it will lead to lower price. For me, some of these festivals affect the price because people would have withdrawn their coins and transferred to fiat.

It is going to be somewhat interesting for all of us this week due to the ongoing Consensus 2018 event in New York City. In that event, from 2,700 to almost 8,000 attendees (except that Ethereum founder wants to boycott this due to high ticket prices), which would expect that Bitcoin, Ethereum and the others are going higher after that. It happened for the past 3 years, and this one is going to get bigger.

Makes sense with the conferences.

But - if I was a very wealthy crypto made b/millionaire, wouldn't this be the best opportunity to short?

Conference attendants convert crypto -> fiat = less buy demand (also Consensus OMG airdrop = people looking to sell for profit)

Less buy demand = higher sell orders * big players short the prices = amplifies sell orders.

This is only under the assumption that people are turning these coins into fiat - am I missing a part where the conference planners do not have to convert to fiat?

I personally just get a weird feeling when majority of people say that "X" will happen because it's happened before.

The market is fluctuating strongly when bitcoin prices are continuously increasing for several consecutive days. I believe that bitcoin prices will be able to rebound strongly in the coming days and will hit the $ 11000 level, so this is a good time to buy the bitcoin. Market capitalization has fallen slightly, but I believe it will recover quickly.

No one knows, the only way is to say that the market is doing it is going to go whatever way it wants. There's this great scene from the wolf of wall street "I don't care if you're warren buffet or jimmy buffet, you don't know which ways the market is going"

Some people may attribute it to the last big news story, showing that the korean exchange upbit was under investigation -- though this does seem like a massive misunderstanding.

It seems to me, nothing new is happening. As usual, the coins prices are swinging. If today they are green, tomorrow they can turn red. Of course, I wish to see how the cryptocurrency is constantly growing.

Some are commenting that the recent price hike was due to the conferences being held in various places and upcoming conferences.

"In addition, Lee pointed out that the 2018 conference (marking the fourth year of the event), scheduled to kick off in New York City on May 14, is expected to pull in a crowd of roughly 7,000 (as compared to last year’s 2750-strong crowd) – previously, when attendance increased, Bitcoin jumped by 69% during the conference, and 138% in the months following the event."

https://cryptovest.com/news/fundstrat-analyst-foresees-impending-rally-for-bitcoin-owing-to-consensus-conference/
In the current market the stability and the equilibrium has established and this is due to the equal number of demand for Bitcoin which is responsible for this stability. The Bitcoin fluctuates and today the price equivalent to 8.7k dollar which is increasing more with the passage of time. Now invest in Bitcoin and choose your new modern way of living without any high transaction fees and wastage of time.

Few days ago when I monitored the market the price was moving around 7k dollar and was a little bit stable around 7k dollar but eventually the price rose up and stabled at 8k dollar but after few days the same thing or trend happened when I monitored the market the price of Bitcoin was stable at 9k dollar. This shows an increase trend and this increase trend can go eventually in the upcoming days and will make the market back at the highest possible stage.

The market today is showing signs of not being good, as bitcoin and altcoin prices are continuing to stay after a slight increase. This suggests that although bitcoin prices have increased over the last few days, bitcoin prices have remained in the down cycle in the long run. Therefore, you should only short-term investment at this time to avoid the risk that may occur.

Speaking about Bitcoin, I would say the market looks stable and the stability was long awaited. This stability in the values of Bitcoin has attracted so many to invest and the rise in the demand is on the peak. Besides, ETH has also a good market. ETH is expected to cross the 1000$ value very soon. Besides, the number of people holding ETH has gone beyond expected. Good news of course.

I guess that the bottom of the market was seen already. The bearish trend ( Thank God!) is surely over. Yes, the cryptocurrencies are not stable still, and many altcoins prices are going up and then down often.

Cant help but agree in all the points mentioned but we can just always take are guess unleess we’re the ones who really post or involved. Too much hyped in dec-jan

The market is a little bit stable and the stable price lie between 8k dollar and 9k dollar. Sometimes the price becomes 8.5k dollar and sometimes 9.5k dollar but the situations change rapidly with sudden increase or decrease in the demand.

This market is favorable for investment as the price is not stable so high but stable fewer than 10k dollar and I find this opportunity and refer it to others to invest here and wait for the high market.

I haven't noticed much of a change for the better. Only see that the rate does not recover to the point where it was worth 19000. I think I don't see anything good yet.

It seems to me, nothing new is happening. As usual, the coins prices are swinging. If today they are green, tomorrow they can turn red. Of course, I wish to see how the cryptocurrency is constantly growing.

Here's a different question -

Have we seen the bottom of the market?

Well if you're going to refer it to someone who've been aware of btc since last year, i don't think they'll be positive about it because of the drastic drop it made. As for the bottom, i'm not sure if we've seen it already but hopefully we did last february :p

The market is still in the good condition because everything in this business is properly functioning and it is systematic, so less worries about the negative thoughts in our mind, just simmered down.

You can see that the market is showing signs of slowdown and bitcoin prices are showing signs of decreasing slightly in the past days when adjusted to the $ 6300 level. Prices for altcoin are also starting to fall sharply. Therefore, I believe that at this time you should only short-term investment in bitcoin to reduce the risk.

The market is showing signs of continuing its down cycle, you can see that at the current price bitcoin is continuing to adjust and are very volatile, so that can reduce the risk. ro, I believe that at this time you should only deal day and always have investment plans to be able to reduce the risk. The price of my bitcoin will probably fall to $ 5300 in the near future.

amrkwt is now down, but we need to take it easy because it is a normal thing. We experience huge dip before and this dip is not new to us. We can all gain on it even in a huge dip but only buying some more and wait foe the right time to sell our holdings, that is why patience is really more important in crypto.

Obviously, the market is in difficult right now in which Bitcoin has been in this situation before. I remember the day when Bitcoin was young and just introduced in the market in which the price is constantly fluctuating, we though it is the end of it but mostly are wrong because Bitcoin survived. Therefore we should be use to this market cycles and should learn from it so that we keep on earning even this time of difficulties.

the market still going on and still unpredicted but we can still try to make a profit. I think cryptocurrency will keep increase no matter how bad the news is out there and if the market gets impact because of that news, the market will still increase in the end. but the market is also up and down in anytime and it's not just because of the news only. but I am happy to see bitcoin now because the price can increase although it is not too big and we can try to get the benefits from the price.

Yes, many things happen, depending on what we mean correctly. If we talk about price changes rather than there is a clear reason why this happens. Because of broader regulations, and that will apply to this year and maybe next year because unless the market is well regulated, it cannot be handled by all who see.

Market is still on a huge dip. We need to make a right decision like buying some other coin for good . Because this huge dip is just an opportunity, and I believe that we need to grab the amazing opportunity in order for us to gain a huge amount of profit.

The market is showing signs of a bitcoin recovery when the price of bitcoin has returned to $ 6800, but you can see that the price of altcoin is still slightly reduced and there is little recovery at bitcoin prices, Market capitalization is not rising, indicating that there are signs of atcoin coming from investors, which will cause altcoin to continue to fall sharply.

If we talk about the crypto market then it is good to say that crypto market is flourishing and like the past the people who have bitcoin they are holding because the bitcoin price is rising and in the market the market forces like demand and supply makes the market change like now the crypto investment is very high and trading is also slow in these days because holding in this time is a good strategy for every one.

yes, this year is difficult for every people who in cryptocurrency because the market is too hard to predict and every coin can get up and down in anytime. this is also happening with bitcoin and the price itself still changing in every day and sometimes makes our heart beat so fast but I am sure that bitcoin price can increase higher soon. I agree that we need to be patient to wait the price increase higher so we can sell the coin and we can wait for a while to see the price to go down again and buy back the coin.

I think that for many it has become clear that the crypto market works quite differently than conventional markets, so I am surprised that there are still so many people willing to transpose the principles of technical and fundamental analysis that are used in other markets, as if they were equally applicable to this market.

And this has led many supposed experts to try to justify every bitcoin movement with arguments often ridiculous, as I remember that many even justified the fall of bitcoin earlier this year for the celebrations of the Chinese New Year!

;D Most of the people trying to justify all those are basically not experts and they are just some wannabes trying to gain recognition. Anyone in this day and age can always come to the media to claim an expert and then you ask yourself; expert in what? Nonetheless, I won't say TA does not work, and for quite a number of times, I have used TA to make trading decisions in this market and just the same way.

I would have used it in a stock or Forex market is the same way it works here which generally, it is not like they will always give you accurate prediction, and all you just need to do is make use of them as a guideline when it comes to making decisions, that's all!

It is always a cycle and the market will always have that over and over again which is why those who are so particular about getting worked up over a bear market should indeed reconsider it as something they would want for an opportunity to increase what they are holding in the long run.

Bear markets are normal and it is not meant to be a disgusting thing the way some people always portray it just because of their emotions, it is instead a way to take advantage of the market and buying the dips rather than whining. The market will always change trend and as long as people do not have that picture in their head, making good decisions for them will be hard.

yes that is what makes crypto sad and why so many people drop crypto in this way. whereas crypto is very beneficial for one's life. at this time when the market conditions are unstable holding is a very wise choice because with us constantly memegnag then profits will come to us when the market is back to normal.

Lots of things going on in the crypto-market, 24 hours and 7 days. But in terms of the bitcoin market, currently the price is in normal range, fluctuate within $6,800 to $6,500 since September 22. Many people have been saying that BTC could soon witness a bullish or bearish breakout $8K which the last time in July as it has never reached that price since then. For a breakout, bitcoin's price needs to break the wall of $7K which seems can't be achieved without any big news to encourage people to switch their investment back to bitcoin. According to some trading sites, bitcoin will reach $7K in November and reach $10K by the end of the year, probably driven by SEC decision again.

I think what happened at the exchange place right now seems like the cryptocurrency price is not stable and there is a lot of bad news circulating that makes many traders panic and eventually makes the price fall.
Particularly in countries like China where the exchanges are in hot water. It was heard that in China, some crypto exchanges were banned in the market due to the weakening financial condition of the country. This had weakened the economy of the cryptocurrency.

The market was also weak from the fall after the boom and the rest of the factors like the government intervention and imposing regulations contributed greatly as well. So the current situation is worst.
The market would have gone down normally based on the way people got greedy and even though a lot of bad news has really popped out from China in the past, this does not mean they will keep having a huge hold on crypto and eventually with their shenanigans, they just get left out at the end.

Nothing is going on in the market than the fact that we are in a downtrend and there is nothing wrong with it, it is normal, it has happened before and believe me, it will happen again. The only thing is that rather than seeing a downtrend as a problem which a lot of people always tend to see it as, it is a whole lot better to be seeing it as a great opportunity and it would take a smart person who is focused on the future to simply knows that.

Crypto market is increasingly being reported by many journalists as an unsafe and potentially unsafe market. That really is a sad thing. But I ignore everything, I will continue to hold on to my BTC until it raises back to $ 10k.
I think everyone do same thing with you, because a lot of people hold their coins and sell when it is on high price and they not really care about news that always come to bitcoin. For now, what "they" look for with their news is people who panic.

The cryptocurrency market this year have been difficult in terms of stability and continuous price decline.  Many speculators have had to eat their words as market have defile permutations and logic.  We can only hope for stability and certainty that could lead to bullish market in the future.

I can't understand what's on the market. I don't know the reason for this stagnation more accurately. No move. and we need urgent action. We're hurting. share with a good news. we need to hear good things.
i think currently entering consolidation area, where prices only move in place. however, if time of consolidation is up, there will be a large movement, hopefully movement will be upwards
The price of bitcoin are from last 1 to 2 months in between the range of $6000-$7000. Many people don’t like this small movements but I think in the long run it will be good for the bitcoin itself.

Yeah, for a while now a whole lot of the markets have been consolidating and same goes for btc as well which is moving sideways inside the descending triangle with traders waiting to see which direction would be the next. It is hard to tell for now how things would be though, so we just have to wait and see how things would turn out.

But for those who are smart however, they simply just know this is just a market giving them the chance to start buying lower rather than worrying about something they should not be bothered about. People just generally tend to look for drama where there is no one.

I think the bitcoin price will start to rise high end near future. Though crypto currency whales are accumulating coins and all coins for a major movement ahead let’s hope for a good future of bitcoin.

In fundamental analysis,  in this year the price of all crypto going down because so many bad news,  FUD and issue of hack. In technical analysis the price crypto bearish because the price on the top already or in the resistance level so so many trader sell for take profit. But this bearish will be ended soon,  because alot of good news will coming.

At the beginning of the year, everyone said that Bitcoin was a highly volatile currency and the main reason for the rejection of the SEC was that the price of Bitcoin was subject to sharp movements and manipulations. But now we see that the price has been in place for almost 6 months already, I'm sure someone needs to keep Bitcoin in a narrow corridor!

The market is going down but i do believe that market will increase soon . all we need is too wait for the price increase.

Currently, price shows the same low market as it has been going on since the beginning of this year so situations are not changes yet and still we have price in 6k figure. The current price is 6390 US dollar and one can start buying coins as much as he can because this is low price availability if you even noticed previous price movements of Bitcoin; the highest price and normal price, you will see that current time is best to buy.

Well this situations has its drawbacks. But If you're looking at the big picture, the price is really cheap and its a good buying point. If you're a long term investors then this is the right time for you to make your moved and purchased a lot of coins. On the contrary, the slow movement as well might be a good time to spend our coins as much as possible, sort of using it as a online payment options if applicable.

I think that now the time has come for the bitcoin price to increase and hopefully this time bitcoin price Is going to cross 20k very easily.

The price of bitcoin is not too low now, which is lot more higher than hwo much it was in beginning of 2017 so if the price grown organically then the current price of bitcoin is actually a good growth rate but in end of 2017 people hyped about bitcoin to much which causes bubble.

There is no doubt, and most especially, that is a drawback we can basically understand will only end up affecting those who actually bought at the peak. However, it is something that is normal, it is a correction and it is healthy. While some people may be seeing it as a drawback, some may be seeing it as actually a set up for the long term and taking the time to accumulate now since they so much believe in the long term potentials of the market which I believe that is what those who are smart should basically be seeing at the moment.  Over time, I believe we will get to see some level of mainstream adoption and that is one thing that would make this market boom.

You are absolutely right, nothing happens with days or with weeks if you want good you will have to wait, I don’t think it charges anything to wait, if you will wait with patience so you will be rewarded, as per according to my point of view those who have faith and trust on bitcoin will never panic to reduce their earning,  moving according to the situation will lead us towards success but a small wrong action and soil all our money to zero, being wise and can make us milliners so if now the market is little low to be patient and hold your coin.

Unfortunately, most people do not even know why they are buying, let alone know whether a particular period is the best time to be buying or not. It is always very funny to get to hear what a lot of people generally think and you will find out that what a lot of people tend to settle for easily is a market that is already moving up and that is just basically gives them hope and it is not even the long term that matters to them, which is why they tend to make the worst decisions eventually. What is going on in the market now is the market giving everyone who missed last year, to still have the chance to be getting in now.

Anything can happen in crypto space, more likely it's full of uncertainty so better to know when to take profit. Not everyday is our lucky day and sometimes shit happens unexpectedly so watch for it.
Be mindful that by now we should already have some life savings and you diversified your investment into real and established ventures. Otherwise you'll be sleeping in a cold street.

Altcoins are trotting behind Bitcoin and repeat its movements. When the market leader decides to go up, the tokens do the same. When it falls, the alts decrease in their prices. I suppose something like that will last till December.

The bitcoin market is calm, prices are in the range of USD 6,400 and not too much fluctuation. This is like the saying: calm water is more dangerous, it could be that in the not too distant future the price jumps very high, or falls sharply.

It seems that with the current market there are a lot of panicked traders and lots of traders who can't control their patience, and now the conditions of the cryptocurrency price at the exchange are very cheap, so these traders should be able to take advantage of the market situation to buy as much you can.

One thing with knowledge is that when you are fully equipped with it, your ability to make productive and valuable decisions will always be there. One main reason why a lot of people see problem with a market like this is because they are so much locked up in their own ignorant environment and there is no way they can liberate themselves unless they understand this is a normal thing to happen to any market at all. Nothing is going on in the market, except for a market that has hit the bottom and trying to consolidate which I see as a good time to be accumulating.

Well, it depends on how you want to see the calm water anyway, which in my opinion; as long as you have the knowledge to handle yourself in a calm market you should not have a problem.

One thing with this market is that we have reached a stage in which the bulls are trying to fight back saying enough is enough and then the bears just do not want to give up yet, so in that vein, it is always all about the strongest man winning as the case may be.

What is important now is to buy and accumulate if you have no trading knowledge, and if you have trading knowledge, I believe you should have a strategy for entry and exit.

The market has a domino effect on the prices of Bitcoin. As the bitcoin goes up then altcoins are getting some actions in their price too. The bitcoin has a big effects with the market of altcoins these days. More news would make some changes in the market though.

Altcoins are trotting behind Bitcoin and repeat its movements. When the market leader decides to go up, the tokens do the same. When it falls, the alts decrease in their prices. I suppose something like that will last till December.
Actually, the only thing that most of the altcoins will need now is to see bitcoin pick a struggle. For now, we can see that there is a lot of indecision in the market and as much as a lot of money want to get poured into alts, there is still a very huge factor limiting them from growing and we all know how bitcoin has been lately.

Nonetheless, even if I do not expect bitcoin to move up hugely before the end of the year, a slight chance of bitcoin moving towards an uptrend, will give the altcoins some pretty good environment to grow, but all the same, we will just have to wait.

Well in December we are expecting so much. Throughout the year, people have informed us with different predictions and assumptions regarding prices of bitcoin and altcoins and now it is the time here. We are assuming a classic jump from bitcoin and altcoins from the current price to a higher one. We request people to not spoil our happiness and predictions for your own sake.

I know that bitcoin is playing a dominate role in the market but no one is sure which next move the crypto will make. Is 6000$ a bottom ? or will we see 5000$ bitcoin price. I am just not sure but one thing is  obvious that its the whales and big player who are trying to collect the bitcoins at a low price as much as possible.

The market is still red, it is still falling. There’s no specific reason about its situation right now. A simple person cannot explain why all cryptocurrency are falling.
Nothing very important right now so you can focus on other businesses in the mean time. Actually it is down and might not interest you to trade though you should think about trading.

you always want to think in systems not tactics.

we all know that crypto is a super volatile market, news crop up everyday

best to arm yourself with knowledge - https://www.altcoinsidekick.com/blog
The market has been down for long and there is tendency that it will recover in the next few months which is mean to say that for future benefits, and with current low values, people are investing in the expensive coins available for low value right now.

There is always a reason for every situation that hovers over the market. In case of cryptocurrency, there are many reasons famous among them is the rules and regulations being imposed by different countries on the use of the technology and many unobserved reasons as well.

I still really do not know why a lot of people are attributing the bitcoincash fork to the downtrend in bitcoin at the moment. Even with the whole hash rate war thing, basically, no one actually cares, and even if it is because of that, it is a good thing to actually see the market giving an opportunity to at least be buying pretty low in the market. More like a bonus or the market offering its own black Friday. ;D

What is going on in the market at this moment is the market giving the smart ones the signal to start having bullish mentality but unfortunately, people only tend to have bullish mentality when there is FOMO, a time they should even be scared.

There is nothing surprising going on in the market. After a long run of bull season, there are bound to be some major correction in the market. These are the best time for holding onto whatever you have in your portfolio.

Well at first i also thought that it was people being confused about that bitcoin cash hardfork but as the week progresses and the price continues to drop, evidently it isn't the case. And i agree with you in a way. People's mindset should be the other way around when things are bullish or bearish. Though of course, it's normal to feel anxious when you see your assets plunging. That's why you need nerves of steel when you deal with this market.
