Title: Any new mineable coin?
Post by: revvv on May 08, 2018, 10:30:09 AM
ANN section is kind of mess.. cant go thru all of this.. I can only see ICO, Pre-ICO, Pre-Sales etc

I am looking to gamble my electricity power bill on something new. Are there only ICO for real?

I would recommend just mining Raven (RVN) using enemy1.09, steady profit and chance for upside given coin supply. Regardless of if you hold, also seems to be most profitable for several weeks (I watch closely - 150+ rig farm).

So much crap in ANN section...

Best way to find anything there is to type the name of the algo you want to run into the search box... like Cryptonight.  Makes finding a new coin to mine easier.

Is it profitable? What card do you use for mining? and how much earning is in USD for 24 hours?

On which algorithm AMD  rx series is performing better,  would like to mine some fresh coins if the idea and projects is good enough

The trading is on Forkdelta but the volume is small. If I manage to sell it at the price that has alredy been traded I should have 2.5 x more profit than i had with Raven (for 24 hours). I'm using  5x1080ti, 5x1070 and 11x1060 and i got 15 million of token in 24 hours. It is attractive to me because it is all new thing to mine but it looks similar to 0xbtc.

i think you got a mining farm lol. i'm only have 1x gtx 1080ti is it worth for mining this token?

I cannot guarantee you anything because with the new coins or tokens it is all risky. Maybe it could be profitable for you but it's up to you to make a decision. Maybe it would be the best for you to wait a few more days to see the progress of this token. Atm the minimum payout is 10m which means you must wait few days for first payout.

There are ICO who are really care about the mining as the investment and make the money out of it. Please ignore the ICO projects if you really want to rent your electricity to make the mining farm mate.
I think you can get the partner who is looking for electricity start his mining farm on mining support section.
Better side, you can move this thread to that section soon mate.

When you only have a single GPU it normally is not worth mining any token. Of course you can profit, but mostly all you're doing is burning your hardware quicker than you normally would for minimal reward. A couple of dollars profit here and there, unless you are HODLing for a big price spike, that's all is being accomplished.

As other users have suggested, RavenCoin has been something that people are getting excited about and betting their electricity bills on (to put it in your own words).

ANN section is kind of mess.. cant go thru all of this..

That is the price you are going to pay if you are interested in finding the diamond in the rough. There are new mine-able coins each and every day that pop their heads up, the trouble is the next day most of them disappear. Unless you are reading the whitepapers yourself and doing the research needed to verify what value the project has, then you are mostly just going to receive responses from users spamming whatever ANN has caught their attention for any arbitrary reason.

No, what I mean is I would like a minable coin that maybe is not even on the market yet or just went on the market. Just to gamble, accumulating some coins and maybe gets successful one day.
Not planning to sell straight away.

This coin is no longer profitable, there are many people, the complexity of the network has increased.

I a also thinking of mining some of the very newest coins on the market as im using just a mere i5 CPU not even a mining rig, so will be looking for still less known coin with less difficulty so I can mine a sizable number before it gets populated by the mining sharks. I spent almost 3 weeks mining some shitty coin that is trading at 1 satoshi currenlty with no prospects of ever rising. my bad. Any leads guys. Would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks in advance

No offense, but there's nothing to mine with one processor right now. Better to spend time on something else.

Thanks man, I appreciate your honest opinion. If you are well vexed in mining rigs, how much do you think is the minimum I need to buy an entry level mining rig

To invest in mining now is not the most correct decision. A few months later, new asics will appear on algorithm ethash and equihash. ETH will switch to the POS algorithm.
If you want to pay off your investment for 1,5-2 years, then welcome. If you are interested in a farm, then you need to watch your budget, prices in stores and your skills.

You can mine cryptonote based tokens with a CPU, not as efficient as a GPU but still a little profit to get.

Why bother the processor because of a profit of 40-50 cents a day? If the cooling is bad, it will only cause the socket to overheat on the motherboard.

Any standard cooling system is good enough. Difference will be the noise you can bear. I mine XTL with a very poor CPU (pentium G3460 waiting for a Ryzen 5 2400G), it's by no mean overheating.
While mining, you almost never use all cores / threads at full intensity.

Are you seriously? Any standard system is not enough for the Core i5 processor when it works 24 hours a day. In a standard cooling system, a desheat thermal grease with a thermal conductivity is typically 0.5-1.5 W / (m · K), which is not adapted to continuous loads. I use the Arctic MX-2 / Arctic MX-4 with thermal conductivity of 5.6 / 8.5 W / (m · K). This gives a significant advantage. Processors Core i5 have a heat dissipation from 65 to 95 watts, but I do not know which model in the computer of cryptozw.

Hello guys im following this post because im interested to start mining as well, but the problem is i dont know what hardware should i buy, is that difficult to set up a mining machine? I just need to know what kind of hardware should i buy in the market, i dont mind the electricity because im using solar energy and it can supply my electricity needs 24/7. Can anyone could give me some links for hardware here? And what kind of coin is the easiest and profitable to mine?thanks in advance.

What are your free capacities for electricity?
What is your budget for purchasing equipment for mining?
In which country are you located?

Because thats $15 a month?  I mine using the i7 on my gpu rig.  money is money.

If you are still looking for a new token, there's PKT. But afaik it has minimal requirements for the hardware.

Sorry I just can't see it like that. i7s and i5s at full load 24/7(especially overclocked) will heat the motherboards VRM.. for what? ~400h/s in CN?

I use several of my CPUs to mine all the time. I use them in my spec mining (in conjunction with my rigs). I try to find projects that are new and look promising. For example, I mined Stellite (XTL) starting at launch. With 1 CPU I was mining what now takes 10x the hash power. Sometimes for new projects I want to just use a few CPUs or one or two smaller rigs to try it out. Totally worth it now. If you view it purely as how much fiat can it bring in right now, then you're missing an opportunity.

I think writing off certain mining assets is a little short sighted... after all if you could go back and use your CPU to mine a handful of BTC, you would, wouldn't you?

20$ / month revenue (when I'm writing this post). Just with the CPU.

And what do you now mine on your processor?
I'd rather sell the processor and buy a video card. Processors consume power at the video card level.

Sure, new coins come a dime a dozen, just have to do your due diligence.  May want to stick to coins that are established or at least consistently trending in the right direction.

Agree ravencoin is worth a look and has potential. See here (ravencalc.xyz) for calculator since it is not easily found on whattomine. Could also have a look at pigeoncoin which uses similar algorithm but I think that one is a bit riskier. Both can be mined on suprnova.
