Thank you. As far as i know even with cpu you can easily mine some in less than 1 minute. After I post here I stopped mining immediately so probably there's no other competitors lol.

I'll check it out. You should also include the source code as well # total coins that will be mined in the post. Also the wallet says LiteCoin.

These altcoins seem to be coming in too quickly. I think the real money is making a shitcoin, blasting it in forums and dumping them when price increase.

Its like a coin everyday.. how long do y'all actually spend developing these things? 3 hours?

So I tested out the dice game which was fairly fun (although I lost 100 coins :P). I noticed that the return on your bet when is a little less than the bet itself. Does that extra bit go back into the reserves for the game, and how does it determine what your return is (it looks like maybe percentage base)?

Sure many coins seem to have been released recently, but I don't care. I like the novelty of the whole thing (who else can say they own a bunch of coin x?) It's just something fun to screw around with, and if they become worth something later than all the better :D

Yes. Later I'll add the explanation of the rull. Basically the thing is 95% for a win so 5% will be reserved.

Hey swfly,

I also cannot sync the QT client.  You have a sample conf?  a set of dedicated nodes?

Thanks

low key launch, those seem to be the ones that explode.... but once you start mining it is hard to stop, who thinks they have a large stash.
I am streamin all over the place :p

Thanks,

That kicked the QT into gear.

Unfortunately - the ip 211.149.162.72 - is not accessible.   Traceroute and it dies at the second Verizon FIOS hop for me

"Network Unreachable"

Usually means there is NO routing entry in the SP BGP table... it's weird.   So no access to the dice game for me ;>

what to write in streamcoin.conf?
basically for solo mining you'll try:

server=1
rpcuser=abc
rpcpassword=123
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

and set your miner's url to localhost:40456

is it enough to start solo mining?

I think it depends on how powerful your CPU is. You can have a try because the net hashrate is low lol

I'm respectful to these coins because they taught me a lot...
but come on! they are just several char[]s in a small small .cpp file!

How can we see the net hash?

Edit: nvm I searched it up. (if you're curious, open the client go to help-> debug window -> console tab and type getmininginfo). It's already at 8 MHash :D.

Yeah this is what I'm worrying about... Many people come and go without a pool. Anyway what I can do is to build some applications.

That's as far as I can get when launching the wallet. Nothing in the debug.log after the problem appeared.
I have a suspicion that its the latest Win7 updates that were installed...
Going to delete everything in the roaming folder(not wallet of course).  EDIT: That did nothing.

I saw some one says that in this situation, copy the wallet.dat out and clear the folder. After downloaded the blockchains copy the wallet.dat back again.
You might have a try. Good luck.

Don't the admins of https://cryptocointalk.com/ run giveaways any more? If you give them some coins and enough people receive some from the giveaway most of them are for sure going to ask an exchange to add your coin. From there you know how it works. The exchange will bring more traffic and the cycle will continue.

I'm willing to hold a giveaway myself if you really need someone else to do it.

These things happen, though usually such things are picked up in the initial design stages of a game from my own experience.

As to what a blockchain explorer is, what better example than this one for Bitcoin: https://blockchain.info/

Algorithm: Scrypt

What is different or new about this coin? You changed around some of the litecoin parameters, give it a new name and people are supposed to adopt your uber new coin? We already have 30 coins exactly like this one.

Take your shit and go home.

The hashrate is now much higher than yesterday, at about 17M/s.
But I ran into some trouble with sendtoaddress API... sorry but I have to delay the implementation of withdraw.

Well basically you can easily mine some...
Join the pool is a good choice maybe lol.

Hmmm coin's dropped a lot of hash lately  :-\

Maybe a rename from Stream to Torrent and a tie in towards p2p would be a good marketing opportunity  ???

Finally I've add the withdraw function to the dice game!
sorry for letting you wait, and now I think it's the time to enjoy the games :)
by the way you can also use the dice game system as a streamcoin bank lol.

I think there's some one comes when the difficulty is high, and leaves when difficulty grows up.
Well basically it's because of the low hashrate, but this behaviour is not good, i think.

I throw a little hash at it for about an hour a day atm, any longer on a coin that potentially won't reach an exchange kind of kills any interest in me mining it any longer than that atm.

It's really not easy to keep this alive but I'm still doing something based on this. Later we can see whether people will accept that.

so is this worth mining? I noticed the difficulty is really low
