I am a newbie in crypto market. I was listening to the news every day about Bitcoin and ETH, I heard about Bitcoin in late 2012 but did not paid a heed as a lot of people around the world did and are doing still.

In late Oct 2017 when BTC was on it way to making its ATH, curiosity brought me to this world of crypto and as noob I started reading more about Bitcoin, Altcoins, how does market works which are local exchanges etc. I did my 1st Investment into bitcoin of 100 USD to enter into my first ever ICO Electroneum thought it was a good project as a noob though a good marketing team but they are long way ahead to deliver real results, having said this it gave a good return almost 10x on investment and with that initial 100 USD my journey to crypto started and now I am HODLING a dozens of coins since then.

I had only added 150 USD since then to get into a couple of projects when I was running out of some small investments. So with overall 250 USD Investment, my current portfolio stands at a couple of thousand dollars and still a long way to go. Added coins like CPX, DBC, BLZ, elec, nexo, qlc, Seele etc to my portfolio with minimum investment in each ICO.

I have very conservative strategy with a long-term approach, as a newbie, I am still learning basics of this market, making small mistakes, understanding the ways and means to generate wealth, searching long-term projects which can be potential game changer or life-changing investment.

Would love to hear fellow crypto investor about there experience in crypto world and about the learning, strategies they used to generate good returns, how can one go about finding good opportunities to invest into without trading and having long-term approach in mind.

I'm also a newbie in this field. First, I heard crypto from my friends who invested $ 300 usd. The first thing that came to my mind, "it's another networking strategy and i dont want to get involved."  As no crypto knowledge, I simply ignored them. After few months their investment was earn big and since then started to give attention to this phenomenal currency. The first ICO that I joined was Lympo. After their successful ICO my investment grew by 4 ×, now I hodl it and gradually grows and looking forward to invest for some promising coins.

I invested in the crypto currency for making money, but now I'm guessing that this is all much more than just an investment.

Though we are not too early & not too late we are on the right time when things are shaping up nicely in crypto world.

Yes it is more than investment. We are being a part of history and we are seeing and supporting lot of innovations happing around which will have long-term impact :)

Investing in crypto is like investing in your future. Of course it also helps you to earn quite easy money, but I have no doubt that cryptocurrencies will replace fiat one day and blockchain technologies will be as popular as internet now.

Personally i entered the crypto market because i was looking for a second or extra income online, in the beginning of last year my experience was great as i was able to buy coins for cheap as the market pumped big time over the year, but now from last many months market has been very slow and i feel like very negative but im very hopeful that bulls will be back soon.

Because investing in crypto has been proven to make money even milyarder have invested much money in crypto like george soros and other big companies like alibaba. So what else makes you not to invest in the world of crypto.

You have a good start in the encrypted world. As you know more and more about the community that I think you will succeed, your investment will be more efficient and more profitable. I think your conservative strategy for investing is right.

I think we all saw the news about all these big gains that can be made in crypto so we all jumped on the boat. However, those that joined late last year are going to be having a terrible time right now, if they're still here!

Need to make analysis on it's market trend using their graphical price charts that would help to study and understand it. I am investing in ETH since I think this is one of the most popular altcoin and I do believe that it is a promising coin among the other coins and I believe can it can give me generous profit in the end of my long term plan.

You are right. Whether it is a novice or a person who enters an encrypted community early, keeping a learning attitude is the most important. The encrypted world is changing every day. It is possible to learn the latest trend only by continuous learning.

As for me. Money is the only reason that makes me invest in crypto currency because i know that when i invest at low price. When the price increases and i sell. I would be profitable.

I had this frustration of being able to invest in the stock market. I was about to do so but when I was making some inquiries, my friend introduced me to his friend who was into cryptocurrency. My experience with cryptocurrency though started last year when a merchant overseas hinted me how I can make payment easily after telling him the challenges I have been facing with banks in my country, and that ushered me into the space till now. For me i feel the reason is because i just want to earn money and the dedication you have makes you keep pushing to invest in crypto because crypto currency is very very unstable which can be a benefit but at the same time be a huge risk.

First contact with crypto I had was back in 2014. Honestly - and this is why I understand skepticism coming from poorly informed people - I thought that bitcoin was a ponzi (wasn't even aware about altcoins). Somehow convinced my cousin to sell his decent btc stash after it had grown significantly. That was poor judgement, pretty safe to say.

Mid 2017, had a bunch of friends that told me to get into crypto, balls to the wall. Started reading more and more, learned a lot. Mostly from mistakes. Got into mining because it was "cool". Could've made a lot more money by just buying coins. Live and learn. I've also adopted a healthy view on the matter of profit and losses: as long as I'm ahead on my initial investment, I do not regret my decisions. No matter how many times over I could've made profit on certain investments.

I agree with what is mentioned. But the bottomline why many people are being hooked into cryptocurrency investment is simply because of the higher and more active market value compared to stocks or other kinds of investment. It is due to the market volatility which gives profit to the investors especially whenever the market is in green marks. The continuous increase tempts the investors to be interested.

I have always had the view that technologies will be improved with time. for these reasons then surely technology will also be started to support crypto and crypto made to be great. This certainly make sure to invest in a crypto because hope has a large income in the long period of time.

First of all, it's because of the profit of my dearest friend whom multiplying his money in trading. From that time, I searched a lot of ways in trading, thus I'm currently independent with my profit/loss.

What made me invest in cryptocurrency is because there is a lot of coins that have a future and you can earn a lot of money years from now. Even though there is a lot of bad news about cryptocurrency, it is only because they don't know a lot of things about it. They don't know how good is the team behind the good coins and their project development.

At first I didn't know the cryptocurrency but later friends told me, and my friend had a great vision. So we just played together.

investing in crypto for me is to earn extra money, because the velocity of money in crypto is very fast, the risk is quite large so we have to be careful.

I have been a Forex trader for the past 10 years. I was told about Bitcoin back in 2014 by one of my friends, but I was too engrossed in Forex and my other work that it slipped my mind. Crypto really caught my eye in the latter part of 2017 where it went from horizontal to vertical in couple of weeks. This is when I switched from Forex to Crypto after reading a lot about crypto currencies and their use cases.

Crypto is a great development we have not explored when it comes to technological advancement. I invest into crypto, just just because of the profit, but to also be a part of the developmental process through crypto.

I've started learning about Bitcoin back in 2012, purchasing my first coins on Kraken.
The only reason why I bought into Bitcoin back then was because I heard from a friend how amazing this new technology was.

He was promoting it as an alternative to Paypal, but explained that it was something completely different.
Back then it wasn't a problem to buy a couple of BTC for very good prices, so I spent a couple of hundred dollars.

I was never really into day-trading, so I just held them and sold a bunch when the price went up to $1000.

Deep interest and the opportunity to earn money contributed to the fact that I invested for a long time in the crypto currency.

Honestly I got into crypto for the financial gains, then when the market dumped I was hugely down! So I got to researching the space.

I'm now active in the space due to the possibilities of genuinely building a better future! And it's not any one massively revolutionary element, but rather the smaller projects which are working to slowly build a better future one area at a time.

There are many reasons why I decided to invest into this vast crypto world, but the primary reason is the possibility of earning big money through minimal effort in an effective and efficient manner. I was surprised to earn big bucks through an airdrop campaign which was a great surprise. I began researching different coins and tokens and majority of them turned out to be smart and successful investments thankfully. Another reason is since I am a freelancer and love working from home which is why this is a perfect platform for me.

I think this is the story of almost every individual out there who did not take BTC seriously back in 2012. I too am one of them who thought this was just another news and let it go. Ask me how much I regret making that decision now. If I could go back in time I would invest all my money into Bitcoin to get those 10000x returns that everyone got.
Nevertheless, we all are still fortunate enough to have entered this market at a time when majority of other individuals haven't entered. We still can make enough profit which would be better than investing Government bonds and shares.

If you talk about long term investment there are twi things to consider as I see it. 1 - the project itself must be solid, I always pay attention to the creators, who are they, what experience do they have. 2. - I hold and trade 50/50, but I always re-balance my HODL assets, to make more profit and not just wait.

I buy a coin basically in time of drawdowns, when I'm sure that the coin will grow. I prefer the cascading method of investing.

I attempt to hold 70% in long-term until the next bull market, and when the growth begins, I decide what to do with the portfolio. I trade with 15% and another 15% I invest in the ICO projects I'm interested in!

I'm at the same step as you are: I've sketched out a rough strategy for 6 months and try to follow it with variable success + I learn to trade small sums of money on the exchange in order to get used to the processes and not to panic.  :-[

The only reason to invest in cryptocurrency is to make a profit.
Probably not only in cryptocurrency, all things related to investment basically have a goal to gain profit.

I started to crypto almost the same as you but I did not have a sweet experience at the beginning, first time I invest in crypto I lost my money because I bought the wrong ico so instead of the profit I got but lost my money,
but I do not give up on my experience,
I re-buy ico and finally the profit I get can return my lost money on last investment

I invested because I envy my friends that earn big so I was encouraged to buy Bitcoin and other alts. I do not have any idea about what is Bitcoin or what is cryptocurrency. The only thing I knew is that the prices pump hard during bull run and if I invested a large amount, I'll gain large amount also. But eventually, as I was enjoying crypto. I started to read and understand what it is. And now I am crazy about it and looking forward to learn more.

I knew of this potential cryptocurrencies market a year ago, and I believed that the cryptos would become the most popular currency in the world and replace the fiat currency. That's why I invested in cryptos in both money and effort, time for bounty. And at the moment I'm happy with this decision!

I make invest in cryptocurrency because i believe they will change my life and to get financial freedom, i dont have any other chooice to change my financial. I only believe crypto will make it for me, because only in crypto possible to make 100 times profit just in 1 years. When I entered crypto, I thought I could only earn from bounty 'til this forum taught me some other ways to earn.
That's when I started investing in crypto. As far as I can remember, I have invested a total of only 200$. I don't have much gains from it since I cashed it out on early pumps. What I do now is trading my bounty rewards and I so much like it because it's like a zero-capital investment (since I got it from bounty) and it gives me good amount.

what made me invest in crypto is the ability of it to make your money profit over the short period of time, Im just buying a small amount of coins that I can hold for 6 to a year frame then I will let the time goes by, but the bitcoin is always on the list of my coin to be hold due to its huge potential of having a good value in this year.

I finally decided to invest my time and money into cryptocurrency when i incurred a huge loss of investing into one of these Network Marketing crap called Max International. The system in Max International is very rigid and it made me borrow a whole lot from people which i later had to pay with my school fees because i am a student. currently i am almost done paying all my debtors thanks to cryptocurrencies which allowed me to participate in bounty campaigns. Of course my primary reason in investing with cryptocurrency is to have or make profit out of my investment capital just like in joining icos or do crypto trading, do airdrops and participating with different bounty campaigns.
