When it is possible, LTC hits $400 again? Now it's around $120/LTC.

I don't think Litecoin has a future long-term. It achieves nothing more than Bitcoin.
If the whole market goes up 4x soon, then yeah, LTC will hit $400.
But I don't think the market will make even 2x this year.

if the bitcoin will hit 20k again. Absolutely the movement of litecoin will depend on the bitcoin. I should say as a better lite version of bitcoin rather than bitcoin cash. Whether people are predicting about the future litecoin and the valuation will always depend on the bitcoin as the main crypto that gives a special value to the litecoin.

It  can easily happen if there is a new bullish season, but taking in consideration the actual market conditions, i do not think that we are gonna see those numbers anytime soon

It is not impossible to happen in the next weeks or months, but unfortunately we should not be too optimistic to believe that this is a certainty, but rather we should consider it as a possibility. The market is dependent on Bitcoin and if prices Bitcoin is not up high other altcoins will also be in decline.

I don't think that litecoin will back to 400$. This is not a good project and probably this is going down only. One chance to grow is when bitcoin back to 15-20k$, but now there is a small chance.

Litecoin is behaving like a testnet for bitcoin, always rising in price when they add new technology on top of their protocol.

Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile and its price fluctuates a lot on every news which comes out and is related to it.
Its very difficult to tell the exact time when a coin is going to rise and what will be reason.
Do your own research and determine what would be best for you. Also, never risk more than you're willing to lose.

After Charlie dumped all of his LTCs, I doubt that it could rocket anytime soon. Probably we could wait for new updates and upgrades. I still have faith that this token is best for transferring funds.

Yes, it was a very shameful move of him to let his Litecoins alone. I'm also very optimistic it will be place for a good time in the future for Litecoin again.

I am not very optimistic about Litecoin, investing in Litecoin is not as good as investing in some other coins.

Ltc is pumping based on news there is no strong reason for ltc price hike previous pumps happened once Charley lee joined ltc from coinbase another big pump happened when litrpat announce once it failed price crashed . So wait for next big news

Wait until after the lightening network gets going!  Litecoin as one of the big players in the lightening network is going to gain so much utility.  Lots of bitcoin alternatives will be pointless and it will be back to the good old days of the gold and silver giants for the exchange of value coins.

Lightning network doesn't matter a lot to the litecoin because it's the bitcoin scalability solution (off-chain) that brings only a short hype to the litecoin, Litepay.us is the real reason there was a pump for litecoin until it has reached around $400 USD for each litecoin. And litepay.us just hype created by the team.

LTC will probably move with the market but as a platform it offers very little in terms of long term success. Just my opinion though.

The price of bitcoin affects the litecoin's price. If bitcoin price goes down, litecoin's price will also go down. I think this goes to most if not all other altcoins. But basing on the charts bitcoin will rise. Im very positive. So litecoin will join the ride. Also, there has been a little uptrend for litecoin due to a recent update.

Why? Litecoin is still a very good payment option. Litecoin will ever have a right to exist.

First: LTC`s price movement is directly in correlation to BTC. So, doesn`t matter in which you invest.
Second: Platform of 256 was changed by Lee in 2 hours, it`s just a clone and slightly better performing coin, then BTC, functionally.
Third: Lee selling all his coins in ATH isn`t good sign for every involved side. Despite him stating otherwise.
Forth: Failure of adapting Litepay system, as it was planned and announced initially.

It`s pretty debatable coin, despite having some advantages as for now.

As for now, 400$ for each ltc is like dreaming. It's far way from that price. No buzzes about ltc so we can't expect a price increase.
But to be fair with ltc, every coin can rise, the only problem is "when" and the thing we can do is wait.

What motivation is there to predict Litecoin going x3 or x4 anytime soon? The only prediction is that BTC goes skyhigh and ltc follows suit. I personally don't see btc going x3 or x4 anytime soon, but this is crypto...so maybe we're all happy campers in a few months orso.

I don't think that litecoin right now is the best to hold for a long term, there is a possibility with all the crypto market going up it will change its situation, it is an unpredictable market after all, but it is better to sell what you have and invest it in another coin that will most likely go up real good with the rise rather than waiting for a long time to get, i would suggest something like Ethereum because it is much better and has more potential than Litecoin.

I am holding 5 LTC and hoping that it will reach an all time high this year. I am pretty sure that if the market becomes more stable, it will be one of the biggest gainers by the end of this year. LTC is one of the safest altcoin to invest with and more profitable than DASH in long term HODL. Try to do your own research and you will be surprise that my post really have a point.

I believe that $400 price and beyond for Litecoin is possible. LTC is one of the most popular coins out there in crypto market and also one of the coins being actively traded, so I don't see any other reason why this coin will be stuck in its current price range. But, during this downtrend in the market, I think it is also possible to hit another bottom price for LTC until Q4 of 2018. Personally, I would still continue to buy and bag more LTC using cost averaging method.

This is unlikely to happen as LTC has plummeted to nearly $ 400 in 2018, and the boom once again is likely to be difficult. Long-term LTC will not be as potent as BTC and ETH, so if you want to invest in the long term should invest in ETH then hold for at least a year. It is difficult for LTC to grow up to a $ 400 exchange rate as this project has no potential at all.

Thanks for all your answers so far, prices and market are getting worse last weeks and Litecoin is down under now. I hope it will recover soon but 400$ are out of all sight and we can be happy Litecoij ofer 200$ end of year!  :(

I think this time to reach the $ 400 price will be difficult for LTC. But everything is possible, it just tends to take a long time for it.

Everything is possible but for $ 400 you should wait longer than you think. Market too slow and many people already replace their asset into currency ( not crypto ) not face the biggest risk that we call " colaps ". If you decides to buy or hold this is the right time but big patience and money management should follow with out ask. Can you do that?

In my opinion, LTC is stagnant this year or maybe until next year. If the market goes up so as LTC but LTC itself won't increase its value. I think the demand just dropped compared to what it is before and resulting to no movement on its price. If there is a movement, it is very minimal that can't entice new investors. Hopefully they can make another bull run to move their way up to the rankings.

Hard to make prediction in market right now. Market condition right now is not too good, but I think LTC is decent coin and if market recover again, it may reach highest price again as long we keep invest for long term.

It seems to be quite difficult for Litecoin to reach the $ 400 price, because if you look at a similar trend today, then it will require Bitcoin price is in the range of $ 25k. All possibilities can happen, but I'm pretty sure it will not happen this year.

I must agree with you on that statement. A market is currently evolving. The holders of the LTC can only hope that it doesn't fall even more in the future. It is hard to expect such significant comeback to the 400 dollars. Even Bitcoin which hit unimaginable values last year won't recover again. One is sure - I for sure wouldn't sell it still because there is a slight chance LTC can come to 200 dollars this year.

Litecoin may be a good coin, but it does not seem to be one of the best. Maybe expecting Ltc for $ 400 equals expecting Bitcoin for $ 40000.

Actually most of usage holding some favourite coins of us and everyone want them to reach those ATH which they had last year in December. To be frank that is not going to happen so soon again. What up rise we saw in that month was merely a work of artificial pump. At leats most of the analysts suggest the same. Because without increase in the investor base that thing is almost impossible to achieve and hence I think a bit skeptical about that happening too soon. Its all in the hands of powerful people.
So whether it is LTC, BTC it doesnt matter, they will take time surely.

It is possible  but it take a lot of price recovery for the whole market for ltc to hit that. Market cap most likely will not be less than 600 billion USD for that to happen. Ltc is a great coin and can really achieve much in price growth

There is still a good chance for Litecoin to see $400 again in the future, but it could take some time. A lot of people bought in while the lat bullish cycle and they are just waiting to dump it again. They are scared of the heavy losses. Litecoin will start to go up again, as soon as Bitcoin and Ethereum start to pump again! :)

While we anticipate the 400$ price, LTC went on an opposite way, now around almost 80$, that's more than 5 times to reach the 400$ mark. Maybe, what we have to wish first is the end of dumping. With that, we can have more chances that LTC could hit the target and so with other coins.

Litecoin is one of the coin that has grown globally and seems to still get support in the future.
But for up to $ 400 the odds will be small. Many new Altcoins are faster and they seem to have to share the market.

Litecoin is one coin that was created for a long time, but it rose very rapidly recently at the end of last year. Even Ltc is still higher almost 90% of June's price range last year. Looks like we will not see Ltc approaching $ 400, unless there is an abnormal rise situation like last year.

It is could happen for litecoin over $400 when all the market are back or over to 700b market capitalization. LTC growth are not bad at all IMHO, the dominance of this coin will be rise up again. We all dont know how the market will be in the next future, but I think the market will start growing healthy after all this bad blood.

Yeah it is possible for Litecoin to hit over $ 400, and it is not too far. The market will correct soon as good news surrounding cryptocurrency is coming. Facebook has also loosened its ban on crypto ads. I personally prefer the coinbase listed Litecoin and am also planning to buy some. I also suggest to others investing in it.

I had written off LTC during 2015-16, as a lot of other altcoins backed up by better technology were emerging. But contradictory to my expectations, Litecoin not only managed to thrive, but it also managed to increase its market cap significantly.

The whole crypto-currencies trading market is in a pretty bad shape now due to the negative news of South Korea exchanges getting hacked, and the prices of Litecoin is also heavily affected by it, I doubt we will see a recovery in Litecoin prices in a short period of time.

Overall, all the coins are down.  It will be difficult for any coin to triple it's price in this market.

But once the market picks up again, $400 is very doable.
To give you an example of the extreme potential of a full on bull rush, just think of bitcoin's price last november when it hit $5000.
Just a month and a half later and it peaked at $19000.
Along with that, nearly all of the top coins tripled in price, some even going far beyond that.

LTC is one of the better coins.
It's been around forever, is a better blockchain than btc, has brand name recognition, has liquidity and has proven itself throughout the years.

Every thinks this, that. In the in I believe in the possibilities behind those people who predict and when I come to think the possibilities as well the negative and the positive there are 50 50 chance that this could happen that, that could happen telling it just basing on the past results of circumstances but on the post and replies of people you see there is a chance the opposite could happen.

The LTC price now is $80 plus. LTC has been one of the best and top most coins. The highest value litecoin touched was around $320. Lets just be patient and wait for the price to travel on normal track. If last year's growth trend would continue this year then, yes we can see minimum growth of $400 this year end. But everything is upon prediction. Current situation is not all expected and predicted. So anything can happen. Lets just watch.

Truly, everything can occur in crypto market, let think positively about litecoin. Litecoin shows it great potential, thus LTC would also have a chance to reach $400. Now the market is in crutch time, all coins are in bad fluctuation , not only Litecoin. When one chooses a coin, there is no doubt that he believes that it will have a revovery. LTC's around $78 now and that's too low and cheap compare to $800. If bitcoin starts hitting the all time high's again very likely that Litecoin will be back to $400.

If you look at the technology of LTC, this can really hit the price of $400 again, but of course more time for this. Almost all altcoins depend on the price movement of bitcoin so for me it still depend on their technology who can really go higher to other coins. Litecoin is one of those very old coins (i think it is the oldest but not sure) that is not going anywhere and that is only because it is a copy of bitcoin (the code is the same except a couple of things like time between blocks and supply) and also because it has a very active developing team behind it.

after this dumping period in the altcoin market ended i am expecting LTC to be among one of the biggest coins that sees one of the biggest pumps.

LTC won’t hit 400$ anytime soon according to me. For me, it’s just a copy of bitcoin algorithms. LTC doesn’t hold any real world application and provides no addition function.

Recently LTC launched litepay that was supposed to carry out cross border transactions and be adapted by businesses all across the world but as we all know that it was a failed project and it ceased to operate due to problems of liquidity and financing. LTC doesn’t really hold much potential according to me.

As far as we know, everything is possible.  In case with waves it gone 6x down, so hopefully it will return also with litecoin the same. It has gone almost 4x down, already.

Almost all "classic" coins have potential up to its highs and beyond.

True indeed. Litecoin isn’t a great choice if we are talking about long term here. Litecoin offers nothing different other than what bitcoin already offers. The blockchain technology beneath litecoin is highly identical to that of bitcoin. The updates that are made for bitcoin can be used for litecoin as well as the algorithm and technologies underneath both are almost same.

Almost all crypto currencies movement is linked with the movement of bitcoin and that is only because most of the trading exchanges offer trading pair of altcoins in BTC rather than in some other crypto or fiat currencies.

But that surely won’t be for long as exchanges have started introducing deposits and withdrawals of fiat currencies and other stable crypto such as USDT. In future, altcoins will surely grow and drop independently rather than depending on the movement of BTC.

True. Nothing is impossible in crypto world. The volatility of crypto market is too high. It can pump and dump to some serious extents in short amount of time.

We might see bullish trend in a week, a month or a year no one knows for sure. Even good news of partnership or update in technology of LTC can boost its value. Altcoins are not completely dependent on BTC movement; they can pump and dump on basis of news, updates or some kind of manipulation.

Right now, a lot of people try to loosen bitcoin power, which means there will be more coin can go through the blockchain.
So LTC still got future but this year will be a full regulation

LTC is a good coin, one of the top ones, and for sure has something to offer for the community. Today it is hard to see real growth of the even btc, but if it is back to green, ltc will also come back to green.

I think that by the next bull market, its price will exceed $400, so we should patiently hold our coins. The market is still at a low point. It may last for a long time in the trough, but we need enough patience. I believe that in the end we can get huge wealth.

Seems like right now in July all the prices crawl up  for a little bit but we need to consider that few days from now it can be 100% different this market is very unconfident.

If bitcoin will fall, I do not think it will cost more than $ 150. No one will invest big money in such a market.

I agree here, in long term this market can reach new ATH. My biggest hopes are for end of this year to recover Bitcoin prices.

Thiis is can be possible in the end of this years, the price of crypto possible going up 400% in just in a month,  but this is according to new money come in to the market. If the price does not going up in this years,  probably next year LTC will do it,  it's hard to predict it but LTC will going up later to $400.

I think end of this year we will see ETH over 400$ also it will depend on BTC price this year (it seems that we can reach 20000$ once again) so LTC could reach 400$ after some months. if you have LTC you can track the Analisors on trading view and decide to sell or hold.

We are know very well that everythings is possible here. Currently ltc price goes down below 80$, which is not expected to us. But it's already done, likely very soon price will go up without any notice.  So that's mean definitely one day ltc price will hit 400$+ marks. I think it's just a matter of good time.

I don't think so, because I have no interest in LTC. It is a very stable coin, it's price can't up easily. If the crypto market's king Bitcoin can hit 30K to 40K USD then I think LTC price will be 400-500 USD. It is not an easy thing to see crypto in 40K USD. It's about trusting the project and team members of the project as of this moment, and LTC is no doubt a good project and all the ingredients of being a $1k coin in 5-6 years. If you can HODL on till then, buy it or else no point.

I can not even see a ray of hope for this to happen because I am a holder LTC for a long time and bought it for over $200, and maybe you should see what's going on with my account, ltc helps my account divide by four. You do not understand we should not see litecoin as an innovative coin we should look at it as a backup to bitcoin in case something goes wrong and in the case everything goes right and bitcoin becomes extremely valuable litecoin could become the most circulated of the two coins similar to what happened to gold and silver.

Nobody can say how long it will take but once the market prices start increasing automatically the price of all coins will start increasing. If Bitcoin price crosses more than 30000$ then the price of Litecoin will be more than 400$ easily.

Since LTC is considered to be the next bitcoin by many, i am really much intrigued of having a research of my own. Now here comes the crisis that hit almost cryptos hard and knocking them to a random position one by one. So i am much happier when i see LTC down too because i can have some of it at a lower price.

It will not have repeated again consider there was a lot of alternative system for bitcoin such as altcoin, and DAG coin  it almost cost zero transaction and it has a fast block compared with litecoin and it's nothing. I never expected LTC to stay so strong throughout the bear market like it did. It is no doubt a great coin with a potential project on its back and will be one of the best in near future. However in the mean time it is in hot water and like the rest of the coins, it has declined bitterly. So only the recovering market will help raise it is value and the factors that affect it positively. It has the ability to reach the $400 in future which is a big growth in the value.

Well, LTC was really good in 2017 but after 2017 it's huge decreased and now it's price is $51.09 I believe it will recover and touch $400 but not so early I think it will take more time to recover.

Yes, in terms of percentage, Litecoin is kind of like other altcoins at the current value from ATH, but there is still a lot less volume and money needed to push Litecoin back to $400, then it would take ETH to reach even $200 to $400.

Also, Bitcoin in this sense looks "impossible" but then huge volumes and demand continue to grow along with adoption, so BTC back to $20k is not impossible, in the same likelihood as LTC back to $400.

Litecoin is a copy version of bitcoin, and it is considered as Bitcoin Silver. In fact Litecoin can increase to 400$ again like before but with all the condition BTC must increase to more than 15000$. But as you see the current situation, BTC cant increase and only decrease every day
