We are still building the team. The team will be posted once we have all of the positions filled. This is a very early announcement post. We plan on uploading the prototype to github before ramping up marketing. We understand that we have to build trust before anyone will want to get any tokens. That is one of the reasons why we aren't even asking for any money. Because we expect people to be skeptical until later in the project.

We have some self funded capital to fund the initial progress.

That's great! Because if you are self-funded, it means you really have interest on developing this project.
Unless, you are like those projects that deceive users and when they find good timing to dump, they dump.
Hopefully that would not be the case here. So good luck to your developments!

Tbh I'm very bullish on the projects like yours. I have participated in self-funded project called BLUE protocol, which has been airdropped to the community, no ICO. They are building a really amazing protocol for the newcomers to stay safe from scam. I wish you guys gain the trust of community, I like your honesty.

I only read about this yesterday and can't express how impressed I am with The Helios Protocol. The airdrop closes on September 1st so I suggest you join while you still can, goto their official twitter page for the link. Also help spread the word! Start retweeting, come to discord and discuss the project, invite your friends (I know I am)! I know the whitepaper can be a little difficult to understand so let me help you understand it!

This project is still in the early stages but it uses the same programming as Ethereum, so any dApps can migrate to the platform without any additional changes required! If you also are a creator of a dApp speak to the team as they are creating an incubator to help anyone out, talk about your idea on discord or telegram I would love to hear about any ideas you may have.

So as I understand it, each wallet/ dApp will have it's own blockchain and only store it's own transactions, that reducing the blockchain storage size, allowing instant transactions, and no bottle necking. And the cheap transactions fees will burn, thus reducing the total supply. While staking rewards will increase it, the inflation would be dynamic and potentially deflationary if the right conditions were met. There's sooooo much going on here I can't wait for the mainnet

No ICO but you keep your spirit alive in developing this platform. Kudos here! If the dev team really put their money, time and effort on this project, then I would say, they will not let this project die with no valid reason at all. Good luck!

That is correct.  We have chosen not to do an ICO in the true spirit of decentralization. The team is working very hard by putting countless hours into development, behind the scenes operations, and yes, using our own money. Helios is not in any way going to die or close our doors. We are currently in testnet phase and will continue there until we are certain we have found and fixed all bugs so we can give our great community the great product they deserve.

Seriously, there is over 2600 commits across 9 repositories. And there has been on average a commit every other day since the project began.

Dear Family, We here at Helios protocol have always strived to create leading edge technology that solves some of the biggest problems with modern society. Helios Protocol is the first platform of its kind in cryptocurrency that is coded from the ground up, where not only every wallet has its own blockchain, but every smart contract will have its own blockchain too. To better understand the significance of this I’ll explain it like this:  Imagine every transaction is a car and the Ethereum blockchain is a single lane road (Because the Ethereum blockchain is just a single blockchain).  Now think of what a couple thousand cars (transactions) turning onto this single lane road (blockchain) would look like. There is going to be very slow moving traffic or a traffic jam if enough cars turn onto the one lane road at one time.  Now think of those same cars (transactions) driving down a road that has a lane for every car (Every wallet has its own blockchain).  This is what the Helios Protocol platform can do.   There will not be any traffic jams (slow transactions).  This is just one of the cutting edge features that makes up the Helios Protocol.  This platform is also built to be scalable forever.   Basically, it will benefit from the development of newer and better computer hardware such as better and faster processors.  Also, having multiple blockchains, there is no need to set gas prices high to catch the next block being sent on a single blockchain like the Ethereum blockchain.

You should do additional analyze to claim that. I think no scam project has so kind and good support on the long run. This project is not new. Why would someone bother with scam running that long for profit of less than 0.2 BTC:) Look at the circulating supply and current price.

It looks to me as developing project that is no rushing into some stupid early waste of money on marketing and huge  exchange listing at start of a project. Those things better be announceed when project has something so show and partly develop their final use case.

Hi everyone ! We have created new rules for all future airdrops and bounties. These new rules require that you hold at least 50% of all previous airdrops and bounties that you have received in order to be eligable for future airdrops and bounties. We also give you bonus airdrops and bounties if you hold more than all airdrops and bounties that you have received.

Note: If you have put your coins into a shared masternode, they also count towards your total. So you can be earning rewards in a shared masternode and be earning bonus airdrops and bounties all at the same time.

Holders Incentive Rules

○ 73% held in wallet = 73% of airdrop

I read a very interesting article with calculations, BUT, I think it's not so bad with the consumption of electricity and capacity, you just need to be able to direct the same heat and so on to useful things = heating, heating and other consumer needs. Nothing goes away irretrievably .

Very true. Lots of people actually mine at home and use the heat to warm their homes, and hence saving on their heating bills. I run a few mining rigs in my garage which is attached to my house and i have the door open. I can tell you it gets very warm downstairs. I have my heating set on a thermostat so ithe miners keep the heat higher than it would normally be and so the thermostat kicks in and turns the heating off quicker than it would without the miners and so i save in my heating bill. win win....kerching!!!

But we cannot avoid it because electricity is a basic need for the time being, everything needs electricity whatever it is.

Except I'm missing something - and pardon the oversight, if so - when is the network going to support DAG? What I've seen so far is an ETH-like, so I'm curious how and when we'll be having the cross-communication with DAGs

We are Dag based now. Every wallet has it's own blockchain which are all connected to a Dag. So we are unique in that way.

Every wallet address has its own blockchain that contains only transactions to or from that particular wallet address. All blockchains are connected through a DAG formed by transactions. When a transaction takes place, it is only added to the blockchains of the sender and receiver. The blockchains of all other wallet addresses are entirely unaffected. This completely eliminates the bottleneck caused by requiring all transactions to be placed on a single blockchain and allows transactions between different users to occur concurrently. The transaction throughput also grows with the number of wallet addresses on the blockchain allowing it to scale indefinitely.
The Helios platform will be capable of executing Solidity based smart contracts and dApps. This will allow the creation of efficient, fast, and secure decentralized solutions to vastly improve systems such as governance, financial technology, energy grids, supply chains, social networking, health care, fake news, climate change etc... Furthermore, the use of Solidity as the language will enable rapid adoption by the existing development community and seamless migration of existing dApps.

may i ask you how long that swap lasted? and what happened to those coins allocated to real legit investors, that you guys refused to swap cos it passed some date? Did you burn it or was it reclaimed as fund for the devs?

Just asking cos someone could have been sick, on vacation, went to jail etc. so, many reason why ppl can't meet some deadline to swap, then that results in them losing hard earned cash that they invested on your project.

 I find it shady as fuck, when project do not give a minimum of 12 months for ppl to swap their hard earned funds that they decided to invest in your vision and i find it that much concerning, if the remaining unswapped coins is reabsorbed as funds for the dev. So, if you can please answer the questions, it will shed some light on where you currently stand.

I just thought i would drop this here, do with it what you think best.
What would a truly decentralised internet mean to you?
Even the mighty Ethereum can't do it because of scalabilty problems. Correct.
Hmmm, but surely there must be a way to do it? what a massive breakthrough that would be right?? If only i could be involved with something like that at the beginning you might be thinking?
Let me just make your heart quicken, your brow might get a little sweaty. Could Helios Protocol be working on this? really? But surely a small, only just getting started project like Helios Protocol wouldn't be able to pull off something that even Ethereum can't do right?
WRONG! What would you need to make this happen? infinite scalability for a start, but does that even exist? yes it does. Parallel blockchains so you avoid clogging, does that exist? yes it does. crazily low fees and websites hosted on the blockchain instead of servers, surely not? Oh yes. Think the early days of microsoft, IBM, even bitcoin itself. Most people thought it wouldn't come to anything. But of course now they wish they bought shares back then don't they?M

How to understand "Parallel blockchain smart contract"? What different beatween Ethereum, Neo and a  lot of others blockchains with smartcontracts? Or is this a DAG project?

Every wallet has it's own blockchain. Any Dapp will have it's own blockchain. We have parallel blockchains all connected by a DAG system. The way Dapps are deployed on Helios will be very easy, the Dapp devs can also host their websites on the blockchain taking out the need of using servers.

Hello! I have been watching this project for a long time, and I see a large friendly community on the discord channel. All of these weekly and other drops is good, but, all these savings with the inability to trade (since there is no amount on the wallet) are way to nowhere, then there are exchanges to trade and life is visible on them, which will interest potential investors (and not sell, buy for yourself according to the scanty artificially making a course), and also it’s time to make tables so that you can see what the charges are for, and not to fill them out every day, I think the project will succeed, but it’s time to change the whole policy with the release of new laws in crypto.

This makes no sense to me. Can you try and explain a little better? I am interested in your thinking. I think you might be using a translator?

The win of the Midas Voting was a great community achievment! The project has a great tech with the newest standards for the blockchain industry. The DAG system is incredible fast and the transactions cost are nearly zero! With the integration of the DApps it will be a great alternative to Ethereum! And in my opinion Helios is the better choice. The year 2020 will show if Helios will be use its chances and unleash its potential! I am convinced that Helios will deliver!

I'm more and more impressed by the speed of the dag transactions and the fact that every wallet has it's own blockchain. I compare it to Bitcoin Core synchronization process that takes a life to complete...

there is a saying "old but gold" ... I am assuming helios developers to try listing helios on bittrex exchanger. bittrex is still popular until now. the strong reason I recommend it is because most of my trading is only through bittrex, no others. the my second reason, bittrex is an old exchange that has long been dedicated in the field of cryptocurrency exchange and is very independent, almostly big whales there are on there.

they need to have aggressive marketing and promotion to compete with ethereum. they may have better features but when it comes to popularity, they are still lagging behind. but winning the midas voting, it is already saying something for helios.
if the team will continue their devotion and enthusiasm to build this project, they will have a long journey to embark on. they can create their own identity in the crypto community, not only being an alternative choice to ethereum!

I met Helios Protocol last year and I really loved it a lot. I dedicated myself to investigate it thoroughly and I found interesting things. It is a cryptocurrency that is based on DAG which makes it fast for transactions and I love that since that is what is needed for operations in the real economy. On the other hand, it offers smart contrac something that is very valuable and also the transaction fees are very low, this is another very important point. Therefore I consider that Helios Protocol will be a cryptocurrency that will have wide adoption and a lot of market value.

Although the year just begun not long ago it has been a good year for Helios. The community continues to grow and is getting noticed more and more. The Midas vote showed what the community is capable of.

Although not as popular as some of the bigger smart contract platforms Helios has so much more to offer. I keep saying it but 2020 will be huge for Helios not only with getting the word out but with the tech. We all look to Etherium because it is the most known but it lacks in the tech department. Helios is infinitely scalable and we don't need to worry about no crypto kitty clogging up the network each wallet has it's own chain. This is what we need for mass adoption. Cheap, fast, secure, scalable and a great team who is hard at work developing.

I heard of HELIOS Protocol sometime in Oct of 2019.  But due to a busy end of year schedule, I didn't have time to research HLS until just after New Years. 
What I found out was that HLS has a great community and active team development with an infinitely scale-able crypto & smart contract platform based on DAG + blockchains.
Helios Protocol was designed for security, high speed, and low transactions fees.
HLS also recently not only won, but crushed the MIDAS vote.

Helios is a good cryptocurrency, what I like most about helios is that transsections are fast, it has its own blockchain, very low commissions, and smart contracts. I like the weekly airdrops xd  8)

No sir, one time ago Helios was a token on ethereum. Now it's a coin with its own blockchain based on MAGPOS consensus. You can read on the site more info about this new system. Every wallet has its own blockchain. It can run dapps and smartcontracts of ethereum.

Exactly my opinion. From technology perspective, Helios has all the facts to be an alternative choice to Etherum and even better to be the main/primary choice for the DAPPS and Smart contracts. Etherum cannot hold the monopoly on the market. But, as AmoreJaz said, Helios is lacking some good old aggressive marketing. But im really sure it will come in 2020.
Project is growing rapidly, they have science facts, they have brains, great community, Helios really has all to become a global smart contract platform.

When reading about the project I find many aspects interesting, especially the decentralized web server or hosting platfor as it is called. Many types of hosting services have started to censur users with a certain type of content, which is a large threat to free speach according to me. If some topics or opinions get de-hosted, we are in a tricky situation. Besides this, the fundamental tech looks strong and the community looks big and focused on taking the project to new hights :)

This is a good project, I think it has great prospects in the future. The team works without ceasing to achieve success. Recently HLS was listed to many exchange, and now there is an opportunity to invest in this project profitably.

It's great to see the community of Helios Protocol expanding. I always try to find projects where the team members try to make their community active and mobilize them to make the project popular. Yes helios needs more exchanges. But it is crazy what exchanges are asking for a listing. But with a large community and a properly working project, the Exchanges will automatically add helios. With time it will become clear that Helios belonged to the future of crypto.

I believe you are right but as we all know, exchanges are the target of hacks, if we are only listed on one or two and this happens bam no exchange listing but, i see exchange listings as a form of advertising since people see the ticker and google it or realize i can make money off this.
