On January 2018 the market cap crossed the $800 bln, when will it happen again?

This cannot be determined. This year may very well be next year. But I know it will definitely be higher than last year. Do you agree?

Dec-Jan marketcap was all time high because the volume raised considerably high due to the entry of new money. There was a positive atmosphere as regard to cryptos and the maximum investment came from the Asian countries. Also, the year end is the time when people get bonuses and make new investments. I expect a rise in marketcap near the end of this year as well. I don't know whether it was higher than the last time but their will be a bull phase.

I'm sure it will grow over time, it looks like the evolution of money and this is the next phase!
Question remains is when and how it will evolve meaning which coins are going to be worth something and which coins are going to vanish and when will the market hit the $800 bln market cap again

Hi guy, i think that this year can not sure any more because The market is now unpredictable. Every people expect that the market cap can cross the $800 bln, And when it happen? that is still a difficult question.

At present, there are too many altcoin, and the capital amount of the whole market is seriously insufficient, so I don't think this is a good thing.
The condition for a bull market then is that most of the useless altcoin disappears.

I believe we'll hit $800 bln before end of 2018 and that by 2022 the total market cap will be x10 bigger than today

Maybe the crypto market will repeat uptrend cycle and reach it peak again on Spring 2019. If some big names like Bill Gate or Warren Buffett wants to invest, or just indicate that they're willing to, in this young and immature market (to them), market cap may reach 800 billion USD much earlier.

It is quite impossible to predict this. Market rises or falls significantly only when there is either full positive wave or full negative wave among crypto users. Such wave may form anytime, through any news or no news at all and nearly impossible to predict because this is real essence of decentralized market.
However, to make profits it is not entirely required to invest in bullish market. Smart investors can make profits in bearish market too.  All you need to pick a consistent coin which remain constant while others fall and show bullish trend when other rises. Why does this matter? If you know crypto game for sure it is that no matter how hard it dumps and falls it will raise again with higher price. Which means that profit is like in the good percentage. Don't go for quick-rich game but be patient, learn to be patient and everything else will follow. I don't care it could be in the 2020 it could be in 2030 it could be tomorrow. It all depends on how good can we market this to other people to buy in and how good we can sell them an idea for inalienable profit that can be made in this. Rather than asking lame questions like this one start talking with your friends about it because guess what they will talk to other friends if you convince them to buy in and then it will spread across other people and everybody will be buying in at the end of the day which will boost up the price in the long run as demand will grow.

Next year, now we are in consolidation phase, price has to stabilize and attract more investors, then we can think of further growth  8).

Every day I am more and more convinced that this year will be a crisis and we will not see a significant growth. But there's always hope. I hope that the situation will improve in autumn. But so far I do not undertake to predict.

I don't think it will in the near future. for this year alone also doesn't seem to be able to. many unforeseen factors this year that resulted in a very huge price drop on crypto. This is even still affected by the middle of this year and yet also has a bright point will end.

I wish I had an oraculus or a crystal ball to be able to predict it. You never know, this is why you need to have a diversified portfolio, follow up on the projects you invest and current state of development (long term view does not mean you have to stay invested in projects that are not delivering), and don't care about market movements. I think at least at christmas we will have ~600 Mrd. But not so far. If we rise to fast, there are a lot of people from Decermber who cash out and it will go down again. 1000 Mrd. maybe next year at this time or a little bit later.

In my opinion it can happen before the end of this year. Crypto only develops and grows, so i think it's quite possible.

I think its still possible to see such market cap before the end of 2018 if we have cash flow into cryptocurrency. I expect a lot of new people in crypto world so there will be enough money in crypto.

The way it happened in January we are going to still experiencing the same thing again.  Now is a bearish market and very soon the volume is going to increase and many professionals investors are going to come into the market and push price upwards that is going to affect the market capitalization again and we would get to $1 trillion.

Predicting the market is the hardest thing on investing in cryptocurrency. If you follow the usual trend, during the final quarter of every year passed, the market tends to increase. Maybe because the people might have volume of money that was being put into the cryptocurrency market, specially during December.

Maybe we can reach market capitalization by the end of 2018 because now that I see the market and altcoin prices are in recovery and will be good at the end of the year and for now I better hold my altcoin and wait for all back steady and I am sure will be higher from yesterday's price

I agree with everyone elses statement in that no one really knows when this price will hit January 2018 prices. No one knows if we've even hit the all time lows yet. For me, it's not this event that is important. It's when I'll have my perfect portfolio setup so when this event starts, I have the best possible set of coins, being BTC, ETH, or other altcoins. During these lower times is the best time to do much research and find your perfect portfolio. Good luck.

I think right takes time to be able to reach it again. not just one year in the future but will be more so if market conditions continue like this. However, many hope that wants to recover soon as soon as possible for the next few months. Despite the difficult but certainly have to remain confident and continue to see the development of existing markets.

As far I remember it was not really 800 Bln, but yes pretty close to it.
Last time it reached the market capital was pure hype and no reason. this time though, there is a lot much support to BTC from multiple countries and near to no FUD.
I expect it to reach the same or even cross a trillion marketcap by Q4 2018.

A good positive indicator that the markets are going to explode again is the number of job opening related to Blockchain, saying that it's clear that Crypto currencies goes hand in hand with Blockchain

In january and past few months the market cap went really high because they got to sell a huge volume. May be i'll rise up again. But, it's very difficult to predict.

I think we can back to ATH in bitcoin when regulators will do choice or we need wait so positive news for payments bitcoin potential.

This will happen soon, the market is likely to recover the market cap back to 800 billion dollars by the end of 2018. Because the crypto market at the end of the year usually tends to increase rapidly to the demand of investment increased strongly. So be patient and wait until the end of the year, the rate of cryptos will pump.

At least the community is still that much but they are only worried because of the fud but when they will know that bitcoin is more stronger and it will remain live till the end of the day and when they will know that the direction of bitcoin will always be in upward then they will again invest their money in bitcoin and again the marketcap of bitcoin will reach to that value. As we all know on January 2018 the market cap reached to its peak. The reason for this volume rising was considered due to the entry of new money. Basically the end of the year is the time when people get bonuses & new investments are made, so hopefully at the end of this year the very time could come again !

More and more people are getting engage in cryptocurrency day by day. It is getting popular than the past few years. I think that we will hit another all time high in the next following months especially before the year ends or the first month of next year. If more people will invest in cryptocurrency, price of coins will go up because there will be more demand. Simply we can say that, more people = more investment = more demand = price will rise.

It is definitely going to take a massive bullish run to get back to the Dec-Jan glory days and it is very unlikely to happen as this year has been mostly about slow, bearish recovery. With more and more coins making its way to the market, the volumes might just put the overall market cap to $1T in a couple of years.

I think it will take a long time to be able to happen again. last January is indeed a huge increase, but after that fall very much in making speculation stating crypto will die. of course, this will make many investors especially new ones will go away because of fear. so to get that way again I think difficult.

Many people believe the year 2021 will be a big increase, especially on global coins. But with the current optimism, I hope it will happen sooner, because 800B is not an excessive amount for the crypto industry.

Market cap was that high back then because the spot value of coins was also so high. While it is true that the volume was larger back then, the numbers presented in charts and statistics were partly calculated using the spot value of crypto meaning it magnified total market cap and presented an illusion which seems like there was tremendous support.

I looked at the chart of cryptocurrency capitalization. And I come to the conclusion that the rise and fall are cyclical. Most likely, by the end of this year we will see a very large capitalization of the cryptocurrency. And if there is a large capitalization, then we will see new highs in prices.

The thing the current market needs more than a big bull run tight now is some stability and a organic growth through great projects.
I believe the market will still be unstable for a little while because a lot of projects are basically trash and most people are getting into them in order to flip on the bonuses or due to been a newbie.

I think that we will see it next spring. here honestly it is difficult to draw any conclusions, but many experts say that the manipulative demand from the market goes away and that perhaps soon we will see the rise of the market,but this can also happen in a year,it all depends on new money and large investors who will enter this market,and of course there are those who say that it will be at the end of the year,and those who say that it will be seen in 19 years only.

I think it will definitely happen, the crypto market will recover and even update this high but it requires time... No one knows how fast it will happen, but if this doesn't happen by 2020 Mr. McAfee will have to say goodbye to his sausage... I hope he bluffed when said that ;D

Actully you cannot predict about this. this is crypto world . anything can happen any time. need to take patience and wait for the green market.  but i think may be 2019 will be the good year for market. as like 2017 although 2018 is nt good still now.

maybe very long. because it takes a long time to get back as before. and I am sure many people also expect that. but everyone is still afraid to invest in large amounts

we are not fortune tellers here but i hope that mass adoption to cryptocurrency will set the fire for a higher all time high for bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
