Post by: lucas2008 on June 07, 2018, 09:47:39 AM
I need to find the forum asking for merit, actually I also write many articles but it seems to be forgotten by people for merit.
Please know any brother, or any way to receive merit, introduce yourself.
I will not forget you.
Thank you so much !!!

There is no sub board to ask for merit. In fact, asking or begging for merit is frowned upon. What articles have you wrote or what posts have you made that are deserving of merit? I don't really see anything worth meriting in your posts.

<...>

I've taken a look at the first two pages of your posting activity and found nothing deserving any reward: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1225468;sa=showPosts;start=20

By coming here and begging for merits, or worst, trying to generate a "merit community" (of beggars) you are going to achieve only to become a part of some user's ignore list. If you feel you have "many articles" as you have said, then post them in one of the threads where merits are offered, just learn first to find them. Anyway, I repeat, I couldn't find anything close to being an article, just some nonsense lines on megathreads.

Regarding the initial question. NO. We don't need a "forum for merit", as you have intituled your thread. We need better newcomers, deserving ones.

I believe Bitcoin Talk is a good forum for merits. They have some excellent boards there, and if you make quality posts, and become a good member, then they award you with merits.

Lol the forum is enough, we don't need any other forums for receiving and send merits to each other. You can't blame other people decisions who are not giving away their merits to you because you don't have any content that deserves a merit though.

I hope they keep forgetting to merit you because you dont deserve any merit at all. In fact it would be better if you just leave the forum because then we will see a tiny bit of decrease in shitposting. But we all know that you would not do so - because you support your family by this shitposter bounties and all.

Better keep the begging to yourself pajeet.

Typical pajeet attitude.

Yes, we need merits. But how to be with those who received merit in the distribution and for 100 days they did not get the merit, but have a rating: full member, etc? ???
law does not have retroactive force. :)

Let me just quote one of your comments.

~snip~
I want to ask more about how to give merit, because I want to give my friend a little bit of merit. But I only gave it once.
Why ?

Did you read the whole post you have quoted?

Read maybe, understood NO!

Because before that he opened a topic:

I do not know how I got Merit number. But how to get it. Need help !
Thank you !

He got a response and he said he understood...

Before you write this thread, Do you see a people write a thread about how to get merit? Do you read that? I'm sure you didn't do. Your merit will not build up if you just see every thread but you don't read and learn what everyone said. I will help you for answer your question, but you need to read.

Thank you. I did not read before. I understand now. Thank you very much.

Then he posted the garbage you quoted....and then we have another topic...

BUT, something is different from the usual merit beggar
He has no signature and he is not doing airdrops/bounty stuff ???

Anyhow, trash this topic, please. It's the fourth one today!

It isn't, that's true. But we can help in cleaning the forum from shitposters by reporting low quality posts. I guess there is some penalty for too much shitposting... so in time, number of those that didn't deserve their rank will decrease.  ;)

I think Merittalk.org would be great.

We could convince these people to go there and seek the wealth of Merit and the advantages of spending or Hodling. While were at it move the bounty campaigns and really clear things out.

Unfortunately that won't happen and people will continue to create multiple repeats of this same topic to no end.

Try posting your articles here. I think Bitcointalk is a high quality forum and would definietly have merits to spare for good writers.

But finding for merits is contrast to your quality.
Merits are given depending on how good, constructive, understandable and informative you articles are.
Finding other forums for merits in a forum that already gives merits reasonably exposes your greedy attitude.
And yes it sounds like begging.

Hope you find your way out or prove yourself worthy. oof merits.

I am not that constructive. That is why I am contented of what I get.

I don't.

What's to stop someone from creating a "Vod" account there, claiming to be me, and begging others for merit?  The effects would be felt on my account here.  :(

I believe such satellite communities should use this (bitcointalk) user database.  That's the way I'm planning BPIP.

Yeah, people just forget to merit you, that must be it. ;D

There is one way tho, I don't think anyone knows about that one. Here's what you have to do:

Write a good quality post and after a few minutes, or hours, one user will give you some merit. I don't know who will that be, it's always a random. You can abuse that 'glitch' on this forum as much as you want to get free merits.

Sorry I couldn't find the method to add *seething with sarcasm* to my post.

[sarcasm=seething][/sarcasm]

I'll try this next time.

And there is only one true VOD; all imposters will be dealt with harshly ;D

As it is now so shall it remain.   :)

I can't be naive enough to believe everyone is as intelligent as you.  Many newbies will see "Vod" and believe it is me, while many scammers will understand it's not me but still pretend it is to discredit me.

Before I promote any non-bitcointalk Bitcoin community, I will want to make sure they have a policy and procedure in place to deal with those that have no morals.   Bitcointalk.org remains THE community for cryptocurrency.

I need to find the forum asking for merit,
Eh?  Forum?  It's not clear to me if this is a straight begging thread or if you're looking for a place to buy merits.  You've stumbled upon the right section for this kind of shit-topic, which is why Meta probably needs a child board dedicated to merit chat--and it'd be great if you wouldn't be able to receive merit there or wear a signature.  That would shut all of you up real quick.

I believe Bitcoin Talk is a good forum for merits. They have some excellent boards there, and if you make quality posts, and become a good member, then they award you with merits.
Sarcasm detector is going off.

Oh I don't know....learn English, maybe?  Or post in your local board and hope there's a merit source around.

But the problem is, he has no good quality post and even what we can call "article" to provide. He's talking about his article that didn't even receive Merits and been forgotten but no such article in his posts really exist. Maybe it's just a "shitpost" (No offense).

And there is only one true VOD; all imposters will be dealt with harshly ;D
Probably right. Whenever I see the name "Vod" around here in the forum. That guy licking his boob is the first thing that comes to my mind. All I'm trying to say is, Yes maybe they can create an account with the similar name. But as long as they can't wear the "guy licking his boob" picture, they are imposters for sure. It is if they can only wear it with a 5% chance to rank up to full member to wear an avatar  :D

BUT, something is different from the usual merit beggar
He has no signature and he is not doing airdrops/bounty stuff ???
It is either because he is a smart one, because he's begging for Merits first before participating any bounties so then he will be able to earn more money if he rank up
Or
This account is a alt one and is trying to beg for Merits to send to his real one.

Thank you for the help, I knew what to do.
Thank you !
Well, good to know. Then lock the thread and start going to the moon.

Thanks.  You should try licking your own boob - it's quite empowering... you no longer lust after the female boobs...  :P

The point is, another person CAN use the name "Vod" and they CAN use my avatar.   The only place I feel comfortable interacting with another user is from the point where their account has been initially validated - here.

I would be very happy to lick my boob all day it is IF I can just only reach it. Even Yoga training won't be able to help me to reach my boob in just a year. I would rather lick someone else's boobs than to break my back bone trying to lick mine.  ;D

I have a reasonable number of tasks in a hurry right now, and I don't think I am granting enough merits to warrant the time spent chasing for posts. I've seen the strings that request post proposals, and they transform into spam fests, and I don't think they are profitable. I'm not ready to limit presenting on strings I make, and self balance is additional work, and can be somewhat of a political tightrope. I've added a network working environment to The Source, and I'm thinking about requesting that capable individuals submit post proposals. Do you think this is a smart thought? Then again, would anybody be able to think about an answer that can be executed in this gathering, and won't produce a heap of spam and excess remarks.

Unfortunately, there no exist no forum board that caters specifically for merit-checking threads. You are obliged to make quality threads under various forum boards that will contribute in building this forum as a place full of meaningful discussions. If you want to receive merits, you need to earn it. Try publishing your work and post it to the relevant forum section. Let the people decide if you are worth having those merits.
Remember that with hard work, patience and knowledge, you'll be able to receive merits in time.

Ahm, I think instead of thinking for those " forgotten good articles" you were saying. Why not focus on making more quality posts instead? I think that could be a better idea than looking for something that doesn't exist in the firstplace.

Now let me ask you did you get what you wanted? No right? So common. You'll get there as long as you make a little but more of your efforts
