Do you think this will happen? If this will happen I will invest most of my money in this bitcoin.

Probably not doubled maybe increased a lot. But of course we really cannot say those experts are just predicting it base on recent or previous patterns of values, maybe they are right on their predictions but its just a probability, and the only thing that can tell when it will rise is time, time is only thing that bitcoin needed.

If you believe that it will happen, you can buy today but not most of your money because we will never know if it will really go doubled by the end of the year, but probably will go up just believe in it!

I believe that even two levels will pass. It comes down constantly from some breakpoints. If they cross the 8k band, their first target will be 15k 16k. Be sure this year will get a very good start again.

If we will going to base the recent market crashes and its highest attained value as a base and drive for its growth then it will most likely do so but then again assumptions whether positive or negative and even predictions from pro are usually irrelevant or unreliable because of bitcoin's volatility.

Nobody knows if bitcoin price will be doubled by the end of this year or not, but honestly, I think that the price will rise so much sooner, I don't know exactly when, maybe 2-3 months later, I hope it will touch the 20k$ in the last three months of this year 2018. It will depend on events that may unfolds in the second half of this year. If these future events turns out to be positive for bitcoin then another bullrun might be coming. As of this moment, bitcoin is still down by $6700 due to some factors like exchange hacking in South Korea and investigation on possible bitcoin price manipulations in US. it could be because we do not know what will happen to bitcoin prices. prices fall in early 2018 nor anyone knows. and if it is associated with a rise in the last year, from mid-year, the current price is higher and if it is the same, then the end of this year will be higher.

We never know whats going to happen.But i still predict that it would break last high and cross 20k per btc.This is what many others are also predicting but on the other side i have also seen many saying that it will not be able to cross 10k per btc due to the volatality it has shown in the last few months.I would wait eagerly and hold my long positions and we all are here to reap some profits.

Also, I'm tending towards bitcoin entering a multi year bear phase and if that happens than we can forget that Bitcoin is going to double its price by the end of year.

This is looking at what price to take as a starting point. Now the price of bitcoin has fallen to 6700 dollars. Double cost - 13 400 dollars. If you take into account that recently bitcoin in its value reached 10 000 dollars, then of course, by the end of the year it can grow to 13 400 dollars. Bitcoin without any problems can grow up to 15 000 dollars, but above - not sure. I think that when its price grows, large lots of bitcoins will be thrown out for sale and the price will fall after that.

people's beliefs are different, some say not necessarily double bitcoin prices and some say bitcoin prices will definitely double. and I'm sure that by the end of the year bitcoin prices will be high again but not as in 2017.

Yes of course this is true that Bitcoin value will increase to its double by the end of the year and many of the big players and almost all of the Bitcoin news and Bitcoin forums are saying the same thing. This is the best chance to buy some Bitcoin if you want some profit by the end of this year. I can not tell anything about the Bitcoin in the 2019 but in the 2018 it will go higher than anyone ever expected.

I think doubled is too much,maybe higher than the highest price last year.But who knows what will happen  in the next day,the market price is unpredictable.

I also think sometimes that there are some people who dump the price of bitcoin and seeing them weak hands also sell their coins as they think that the price will not recover and when these whales buy these coins then they again start to rise the price with their buying. In this way they are earning much from the weak hands. We have to think about the situation and never have to sell in any condition.

If I wear you, I won't do things that I'm not sure to happen, if you will invest your money better to make sure that you do understand things inside crypto industry, bitcoin can be doubled or can dumped down who knows what future will bring to this chain, speculations most of the time went to the other side, so when most people said that it will go up the movement will drop down as manipulation will happen behind, keep your hard earn money safe and keep studying this industry before you start investing most of your money.

i think its very hard to make a exact predict about the value of bitcoin in the end of this year. Many factors involved and need to be considered when we are make a predict about the value of bitcoin. So, i think we still can not justify whether the value will be double or not.

I hope you do not mention bitcoin as bubble because bubbles are not suitable if used for bitcoin price meaning, the best is the waves, and the bitcoin price taste at the end of this year will increase.

So I invested in Bitcoin and 7-8 other cryptocurrencies in October 2017, right before the mania began. In that sense, I was very lucky, I got in Bitcoin at 6k, and in Ethereum at 240$. I invested the most in NEM, buying it at 0.20 and saw it go all the way up to almost 2$. I was ecstatic, my investment of 6000€ (I’m from Spain so I count it in Euros) had gone up to 36.000€. My thoughts at that point? This is gonna keep going up much much higher.

As everyone knows, it didn’t. I had done a fair research on Blockchain and its possible impact on the world. I still honestly believe that it can change the world for the better. But I gotta be honest, if I was that compromised with the cause, I would take a developer course and become a Blockchain developer or something like that. But I don’t really like computers. The reality is that I am in crypto to build my wealth, and I think the same is true for 98% of crypto investors.

So, after getting burned and see almost all my gains disappear, I started looking everywhere for articles and people (John Mcaffee, Max Keiser, Tom Lee and the likes) saying it’s gonna go back to the same prices. Wishful thinking at its finest. As you know it didn’t.

I took a one month vacation and travelled around, and I completely forgot about the topic, and now that I’m back, I think I see it all with some more clarity. I just wanted to share with you guys and exchange opinions. Maybe this helps you, or maybe I am missing something and you can help me.

1-   So, first of all, I think Technical Analysis can be somewhat useful (I tried to trade, but the stress just wasn’t worth it for me), but I think the price of the crypto market as a whole is driven by narrative. I think there is no way to predict the future price of any crypto only looking at past price action, you gotta look at the narrative.

2-   The narrative of a certain moment creates a speculative wave. I believe the crypto market advances in a cycle like the one described by the founder of Litecoin, where an irrational bull run is followed by a bear market and then a purgatory, where the market moves sideways until the next bull run begins initiated by a new narrative. In my opinion, the last speculative wave was caused by a combination of exaggerated media coverage of cryptocurrency, people trying to make a quick buck, people discovering crypto and starting to HODL (I would include myself in this category) and the promise of how powerful the Blockchain can be. That was the narrative.

3-   I’m assuming all of us would like to see Bitcoin back at 20k and further. But, at its essence, if Bitcoin is at 20k, what it means is that there is a bunch of guys in the market buying the coin at that price, obviously because they expect it to go even higher. So, what we have to ask ourselves is, what has the narrative gotta be, in order for people to believe that 20k is a reasonable price to pay for bitcoin.

4-   In my opinion, in the state that crypto projects are right now, there is no way that people are gonna initiate another speculative wave anytime soon, it just doesn’t make sense, they know that a lot of people got burned just recently (or maybe themselves got burned). The projects in crypto are developing fairly quickly, but that’s not enough for the market. People are not gonna go back to buying Bitcoin at 20k because of Lightning Network. The bear market is way too recent, and still, even though Lightning Network (and all other advancements that the crypto world is making) are impressive, the fact is that you still can’t do shit with crypto. Okay, you can do shit with crypto, but almost nobody does shit with crypto, and that’s a fact. There is some progress in merchant adoption, but that does not nearly justify that Crypto goes back to ATH levels. It just won’t. People and markets are irrational, but not that irrational.

5-   So, as I said earlier, what new narrative is gonna make people believe that it is reasonable to pay 20k for Bitcoin or 2k for Ethereum? In my opinion, the next narrative that is gonna make people go irrational again is regulatory advancements and real-world practical usage of crypto (as in merchants adopting it and real big-figure business being done through the blockchain). The latter is more important. Now, when could we see that? I have no crystal ball, and please give me your opinions about it, but I don’t think, it is gonna be in 2018, and it’s also hard for me to believe that it will be in the start of 2019. I think (and this calculation is totally random guys, it’s just my gut feeling) that we could start getting the right narrative for a new speculation wave by the end of 2019 and start of 2020. That’s enough time for the governments figuring out what the hell to make out of crypto, and for the crypto projects to make enough progress and drive some real-world adoption. I want to remark that I don’t think cryptos need wide adoption across all areas of economy to create a new speculative wave, but they definitely need some significant adoption, they need some numbers that make people go like: “Hey, this thing is solid, it’s being used to do big business”.

So yeah, these are my thoughts after a month out. It is painful for many of us. Honestly, only now I realize how incredibly irrational I was when thinking that crypto was gonna go up uninterrupted. It was just insane, and I should have sold my position, or at least take some profit, but I didn’t. I got caught up in my own irrationality and wishful thinking, and now I am paying the price, even though it could have been worse.

I think my story could resonate with many of you. Please share your thoughts, I will appreciate your thoughtful answers.

nobody will know whether bitcoin by the end of this year will touch the high price again, but all expect bitcoin to return faster to its highest price, and hopefully with no more negative news to bitcoin so by the end of the year bitcoin can be in the price 20k.

I really believe that even the two levels pass. It comes down from other breakpoints. If they cross the expensive band, their first target is at a thousand of its value. Be sure that these years will get a great start again.

Bet that thing can't be predicted by everyone. It's always a guess nor hypotheses. Just don't give up waiting and you will be rewarded.

I think its hard for bitcoin to reached a hign price by end of this year considering that the market for crypto still not doing well and instead of increasing it keeps the market price dropping.

I think we are all hoping for that scenario to happen but unfortunately we cant exactly speculate if the price can double its value or return back to the previous low price, predictions will remain predictions even expert cant tell accurately the future of this crypto. Currently,the cryptocurrency market is very bad. Bitcoin has been plagued by many negative news this year. The market is in a red state for a long time, so I suspect that Bitcoin will double this year.

Around $30 billions in BTC were sold by longterm investors during December-April period. So we have a huge resistance diapason from ~8,000 to  9,000 USD because of a lot new buyers who want to sell in order to break even.

We can't certainty predict what happened in the future. Bitcoin is really unpredictable - full of surprises. We can't predict it by seeing its current situation. But I do for sure that bitcoin amount will be much higher. Let's all hope for the best!

I think bitcoin will be able to double its value when near the end of the year like the previous year. Bitcoin demand will increase and bitcoin prices will also be higher.

As we have been in a bear market for more than 6 months now so it is very likely to see a strong reversal anytime soon and when it does it can easily double up from the current price of (6500-6600). we were at 10k before the consensus meet and since then the prices have been plummeting I don't see much reasons for this fall but I think its just a market cycle which needs to complete as many analysts were saying we need to hit (5800-6000) zone once more to have strong upward movement.

Yes nobody knows when the market will recover we are just assuming this year end the market will recover but not 100% sure. Today again the prices are falling i think we can see the bitcoin price under $5k suppose if it happens then the price may reach near $10k but it will not cross this price this is my present market prediction.

If the bitcoin wants to go up then it has to break its previous resistant levels around $10000 and $12000. If it breaks those levels then we can expect about $17000 or more. In my opinion I think yes, it will increase its value by the end of the year because at the end of October bitcoin gold was put on the market and bitcoin prices by the end of the year will continue to increase. So it will be happens.

To be honest no one in this forum knows what will be the price of bitcoin by the end of the year speculations are just pure opinions of some experts and not too reliable to believe by in my humble opinion based on my experienced regarding crypto market bitcoin price has a good chance to increase its price rapidly before the eoy.

The rise of the value of bitcoin is unpredictable and does not really have an exact time or season. Do not bother believing in predictions and price speculations as almost all of them are wrong and a poor attempt in manipulating prices especially if from those influencers.

I truly believe that bitcoin can double it's figures and even more by the end of the year. Although bitcoin price has gone down over the last few weeks, I am still optimistic that bitcoin will hit 20k by the end of the year. All we need is patience and time to wait. i think yes it will happend in end of 2018 if you read the history of bitcoin you will understand the volatility of bitcoin. bitcoins price are always doubled in end of every year but in end of 2017 bitcoin price was instantly increased and now all the predictors said the same thing bitcoin price will be doubles in end of this year.

With the current issues about hacking,scams and panic selling of bitcoin from some of the investors in cryptocurrency, I believe bitcoin price will not double at the end of this year.These are some of the reasons why the value of bitcoin and altcoins are declining.All exchangers must do their part to install high securities to avoid this problem.Once the trust of investors get back,then that might be the start of a bullish market and probably we can hit the price we are expecting at the end of the year or at least we can recover from our previous losses.

I am hoping to this kind of improvement. I always think the positivity of the price of bitcoin, even if the price until now incounter a massive fluctuations in the market. I know we can not predict exactly the price of bitcoin, because it is very volatile but maybe by this coming month of december their a massive movement of price to rise up. Well, it is hard to tell if bitcoin could make it before this year end but, who knows maybe it come true since bitcoin was so unpredictable. Just be optimistic and the most important is avoid panic selling because in my speculation it'll pump by Decemeber I guess where the demand will increase.

If you see the past market history of bitcoin you can clearly see that bitcoin have made more than 2x gain in a single year every year from its start so by watching that I can speculate that it will continue to do so in the future also, so it is a bright idea to invest in bitcoins now as price can go upwards, no one knows when and right now the price is way lower than anyone could have expected but I am pretty sure that bitcoin will rise in the coming future.

The problem is that many people enter in this market thinking they can get huge profits, it is not rare for me to see ads related to cryptocurrencies and while I am in favor of advertising crypto at the same time those ads have stories of people that earned a fortune in a few months and while that happens that is an exception, if you really want to earn money with bitcoin you need to hold for at least a few years.

No, it is too impossible judging by the market's poor condition. I even thought the Facebook reverse ban would bring positivity and confidence around but it still did not change anything. The struggle this year is really tough that bitcoin can't even pull a $10k for days.

Things are not so simple, even if there are some good news about bitcoin the price is not going to double as a result of that, many people lost a lot of money, people that were just entering in this market and that have been severely injured by what happened and it is unlikely they have the money or the will to keep investing in this market after what happened.

Why not? It can be double the amount of right now or it can be half of it. There is no guarantee what it can be. It was almost 4 times this amount (closer to 3 times I believe) so there is no stopping on how high or low it can get. I wouldn't be surprised if bitcoin is 30k tomorrow or 300$ tomorrow, both sounds similarly possible to me. So being double is not a thing that can be hopeless about, it still has that potential, not that I am saying it "will" be but it "might" be.
